Dingy! Came for my mom's 60th birthday with our baby and toddler, we lasted 5 minutes in our room and then called the front desk to tell them we were leaving. Every piece of furniture was damaged, stains on the couch, smell in the bathroom, cobwebs in the corners, ceiling lights damaged or not working, the room was just WORN OUT. Not a 4 star hotel, and definitely not a place to celebrate a special occasion. I cannot believe the Omni puts its name on this 'resort'. It was like a 1950s apartment complex with a new coat of paint. The are so many beautiful hotels in the desert, save yourself the time and book somewhere else.

The pool, 5 stars, the property and outdoor space, 5 stars, the restaurants and other amenities, 5 stars. The sound proofing of the rooms, 2 stars. You can hear people just talking normally in the next room or above you. Definitely alters the memories of an otherwise great time.

The rooms are very tired and not as clean as they should be. The day we arrived upper management decided to close the lazy river and slides.....due to not wanting to pay for a lifeguard with it being slow! That was the main reason for booking our stay here. We did get our room upgraded, because our first room was dirty and stains all over the carpet. I don't think we would stay here again, it was nothing like other Omni resorts we have stayed in. Employees seemed to have there favorite hangouts to gossip at, and not be cleaning out garbage cans that were overflowing. Obviously a direct influence from upper management at this location. Remember your in the hospitality business, and at least put a little effort into striving for excellence! People will respect a little extra effort.

Fun resort for families trying to scape boredom. NOT an adult resort. Tones of kids, mandatory chicken fingers by the pool, pet friendly. It looks like the place is going through a major beautification. We stayed in a fresh carpet and fresh mattress room but bathrooms remain dated. Although we had a great time on our 3rd visit to the resort is likely we won't come back. It gets too crowded, too loud, too dirty (pool area). Not a management issue - customer service was good. It's a big property with too many rooms for a relatively small pool/splashtopia area. TIPs: Bring your own booze and PBJs because it is low quality food and drinks for a very high price (way higher than other resorts in the area). Avoid weekends (nuff said). If you not bringing pooch stay away from buildings 19 and 31 as they are pet friendly buildings.

If I could leave negative stars.. I would! I booked this hotel to celebrate a day away from home and work for my husbands birthday. I wanted to surprise him, so when he got off work at 10:00 PM, we started our 130 mile drive from L.A. We arrived a little after midnight, greeted and sent off to our room. We ordered some Uber eats, rented a movie and fell asleep. When I woke up in the morning, I hopped in the shower and as I walked out of the shower, I noticed something moving on the floor by the rug under the sink. As I got closer, I noticed a bug that appeared to be dead and one still walking around. They looked very much like baby roaches!! What if I stepped on the dead one? Or my husband while brushing his teeth? In all my years of traveling, I've never experienced this, not even internationally. We packed and left! I didn't want to spend another moment there or using any of the amenities. I complained to management and was offered a free lunch or $50 refund?! Seriously!! No! I complained and they gave me half of my money back. I deserve ALL of my money back for wasting mine and my husbands time and gasoline going to this dump! I will not recommend them and I will be posting on many travel sites that I use. Very dissapointing! I reached out to reservations and memberships before leaving this review, but they didn't respond! Don't come here! Save your hard earned money and go somewhere clean! The app doesn't allow me to post videos, but I do have 2 videos.

The resort was fine but what upset me was finding an obsurd amount of water spots on my black car, that I just had washed, even though I had parked at least 4 to 5 feet from the grass. Not acceptable and very upsetting!

Rusty and pricey.

Rusty and pricey.
On the bright side, the personnel is extremely kind, motivated and helpful, and the scenery is worth a movie scene: well groomed golf course, impecable gardens, nice Lobby and salons.
On the low side: the rooms are utterly outdated, like sleeping in a time machine. Electrical outlets and switches are from an ancient era, and the spot that really needs to be redone, are the bathrooms: old damaged sinks, mouldy tubs (see pictures) and incredible, the very old A/C unit is located here, so the air returns to the bathroom and gets mixed with whatever odors you are creating, to be thrown afterwards into the room.
Prices are high, not in line with the room I just described.

Had some issues that were addressed by attentive management. A really fun lazy river and pool area, but food prices are steep at the pool, recommend having meals at a nearby restaurant within walking distance or Uber Eats. BluEmber is also a good choice!

AMAZING!!! The Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort was such a wonderful place to have a vacation! Maria at the Front Desk/Check In is an absolute treat and one of the most wonderful and genuine people I have ever met. Every time we needed something we would wait for Maria because she is the best! I absolutely adored her and would be willing to stay at the resort again because she was so friendly and welcoming! I originally went for a conference but decided to stay a few days and it was well worth the extra days! The conference space was perfect for a crowd of 300-400 people and suited our needs perfectly. The food provided by the event catering was delicious and they provided options friendly for dietary restrictions. The resort space is beautiful and very comfortable for casual reclining and relaxing. There is an adorable lounge area by two of the on-site restaurants/cafes. The resort also offers a fun "splashtopia" area for slides and water activities, a lazy river, a family pool, and a separate adult pool. The restaurants were all delicious and priced as expected for a resort. We also did a Spa Day and enjoyed exclusive use of the spa pool, poolside meals, and amazing spa services. For those wishing to leave the resort, there is also a mall within walking distance with additional food options. Overall, this was a wonderful vacation, the perfect place to stay, and a great experience for both a conference and a vacation.

Great place for families. Large pool, lazy river, waterslides, etc. service by the pool was excellent. In fact, the service by the pool was much better than the expensive restaurant! Maybe they use the same waitstaff and they just get tired by dinner time. We had a great time and already are planning a couple more weekend trips this year. Not sure if we could spend a whole week here, but for 3-4 nights it is a no brainer.

Had a great time in April, came back in May and it was a very different experience. It was very ghetto with tons of people smoking everywhere, including the kids pool, guys getting really drunk and swearing loudly...it was so crowded with kids but we stopped going to the pool because it was so obnoxious. Two totally different experiences in one month s time.

This place is absolutely wonderful, everyone is so friendly housekeeping is extremely friendly. I ordered a Bud Light oh my goodness that was the best Bud Light, it was in an ice cold bottle and tasted so good just the right temperature fantastic. The bed and pillows awesome if I could have taken them out and put them in my trunk I would have lol. It was a very relaxing atmosphere I thoroughly enjoyed the lazy river, I enjoyed sitting next to the fireplaces I enjoyed myself all together it was a wonderful one night relaxation ,rejuvenation, stress free moment or two time. Thank you Omni

The place is beautiful. Food at the restaurant was good as well. For an Omni though customer service wasn't what I expected. I thought we would have at least been greeted when we drove in. Not a make or break for me though. Really close to a little shopping and other restaurants.

I m so appreciative of Armando he definitely went above and beyond to make this right and make this an enjoyable experience for me and my husband. A few months ago I had made a reservation and accidentally scheduled the wrong date didn t realize till we were heading there and speaking to a couple of people who weren t able to accommodate us i asked to speak to a manager and Armando was able to help us and accommodate us with a couple of suitable options for us. He definitely made it right for us and was super helpful and because of him we will continue to give this hotel our business.
Thanks Herrera Family

This is a beautiful place. Terrific grounds and pool areas. Rooms are big and nice and all have balconies with a view. I came here to give a presentation on communication strategy to an association meeting, and it is a great space for that. Big shared spaces for networking and doing what I do, which is lots of little casual conversations/consultations in the hallways and in lounges after a presentation. The meeting rooms are comfortable and the sound in each room is great. No echoes or bleeding sound through walls.

The rooms are fine however the walls are so paper thin, you can hear the friggin toilet seat go up and down from the next room!

My biggest issue is the pool situation. First or all it's disgustingly packed. I don't know about you, but I don't want to be pool side at a water theme park which is essentially what this is. It's absolutely ridiculous that they allow that many people in the pool area. The lazy river is like bumper boats. I wouldn't even go in the pool because it looked like as many people were in there as one of those hard rock hotel pool parties in Vegas. Just gross. Also, there's a large fence around the pool area which is ridiculously annoying (and ugly) as the pool area is gigantic so every time you go in and out you have to walk all the way around. It makes it feel like we are in a huge playpen we can't get out of. They clearly did this to tighten security so only guests could use the pool but it's a terrible, hideous and very poorly made system. It also makes you feel even more claustrophobic. The whole area is claustrophobic as there is no space to walk around because they pack everyone in like sardines. Over $400 a night to stay in a very mediocre room and cope w a very unrelaxing and annoying atmosphere. The owner of this place clearly only cares about making money. The only reason it's getting 2 stars is because my daughter had a blast and bluember had really good food.

If carnival cruise lines is your thing, you will like this place.

Great customer service. Great location with eating options within walking distance at The River. There's a lazy river and pool for family fun and an adult only pool for quiet times. We used the spa services for a couples massage and they made us feel comfortable and most importantly relaxed. Can't wait to visit again.

We were in a big trip and the room service stole my friend cash and one of his credit cards. Omni staff did not really care at all even though we show them evidence. We called Rancho mirage police and filed a report. We will not use that hotel anymore. I will post my review everywhere.

My check was a snap, the resort is large, the directions to my building were easy to follow. My room was quite spacious and well appointed with a comfortable bed. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The restaurants served delicious meals with top notch service. Beautiful grounds calmed the senses, this resort offers a full spa which I didn't use.

Dirty pools, towels smelled mildew and the area was so packed cause we found out they let public pay to come in. Took forever when we orderd poolside food, so that the cold sandwiches with lettuce was wilted and $16 drinks watered way down af. The ADULTpool needs to stay open ATLEAST til midnight. Being kicked out was ridiculous when enjoying Jacuzzi and being quiet on a warm summer eve...RUINED our experience. Also the pool is set away from all rooms and such lovely grounds but shoooed away!

This resort has gorgeous scenery and a terrific outdoor bar area with friendly, fantastic staff. The rooms themselves have been updated in terms of fabrics--curtains, sheets, upholstery--but could use some hard renovations. The walls are paper thin and we could hear the occupants walking around in the room above us. The lights in the bathroom were motion activated, but did not pick up motion near the tub/toilet.

Stayed there as part of a conference I was attending. Room and amenities were great but there seemed to be a ton of confusion from the front desk staff with respect as to how to properly charge and bill those that are having their company pay for their stay. I had to have charges reversed on my personal card (used for incidentals) and the only person who seemed to know what was going on was the manager (who was very helpful).

Splashtopia obviously is the reason I came here with the kids. Didn't disappoint. Rooms were ok although blanket had a stain. Pool towels some with permanent stain too. But overall was a great time and stay. Will definitely come back again.

Best getaway EVER! The lazy river, water park and pool were all fabulous. We had no time restrictions for the use of the facilities like we thought would be in place so very glad about that. The check-in and out were seamless, although they need more than one person working the front desk. I wish the rooms were cheaper but it is such a beautiful resort, especially for families. Love Splashtopia! A good time was had by all! Can't wait to return!

The pool is AMAZING! My daughter did not want to leave the beach area, and my son enjoyed the slides. A bit crowded but manageable. Remember to stay in an upstairs room if you don t want to hear footsteps all night! Also checked out the golf course but only played through 6 holes due to the 120 degree weather.

We had a wonderful stay at the Omni Rancho Las Palmas in October, 2018! My husband and I stayed with our daughter (2.5 years old) and everyone had a really nice time. Our room was perfect for us, but the highlight of the trip was the beach area at the pool and the lazy river! It was nice being able to relax in a lounge chair while our daughter played nearby in the sand or the little wading pool. And she loved getting milk and cookies to our room after check-in!

We also enjoyed the lazy river with her... although, the first day she was able to use her own floatie (with a seat) because it wasn't very busy, but the second day we were told only the hotel-supplied rings were allowed... which is a real bummer because they're simply too big for her. I hope the hotel will reconsider this policy in the future... it would be simple to say that children over 42" can go down the slides and children under 42" can use their own ring in the lazy river.

We all also really enjoyed the live music at the Blu Ember! We ate there one night and had lunch at the pool once too... both were good and the prices aren't crazy. One more thing: You're able to park right next to your room, which is convenient.

I'd highly recommend the Omni Rancho Las Palmas :)

We came on a day pass with our baby to enjoy their children's pool and lazy river and have some drinks. First, the fountain and kids splash area were shut down without warning, which defeated the whole purpose of our day pass. Then we ordered drinks and they came with paper straws that deformed immediately and made our drinks taste terrible. There are great biodegradable, compostable straws out there, if that's your thing. Paper straws are no substitute, and they should never have been invented.

I went for the weekend with my family and enjoyed every minute of my visit, this is a great place to go if you want to relax and have fun at the same time.
You can choose from a golf course view to a water fountain to a beautiful pool front.
My thanks to all the staff that treat us wonderful... with respect and professionalism.
We will be back.

The lobby, property and staff are friendly and inviting. My favorite area of the whole resort is the outdoor plaza area. It's like an outdoor desert oasis slash alcove at the heart of the resort. The patio with roaring gas fires, pillowy outdoor furniture, live entertainment and roaming wait staff is almost like a brochure, or Disney family movie. I like that areas are designated as adult only and family. I wish I were taking advantage of the adult only areas on this trip. I almost wish the resort would pick one or the other though, and not try to be all things to do people. I was expecting a nicer, more comfortable room. It seems very pedestrian for this part of the country, especially for this locale. The bathroom showed promise, but appeared worn by time and use. I would like to come again without kids and take more advantage of the ambiance to relax more. I'd also hope to have a nicer room, or better location on the property than outer rim, bottom of stairs next to an ice machine. At a truely amazing resort these characteristics wouldn't serve as the detractor that they served here because they'd be less notivible. (Think Hyatt Scottsdale McCormick Ranch, or Princess Hotel Eilat.) Our room appeared to be the pit of the building we were assigned, like the room off the elevator at a city hotel for last minute or budget travelers.

They allowed us to check in early which was great. Got to our room and no t.v. service usually we wouldnt watch t.v. but it was 108 out and too hot for the overly packed pool. I wasnt about to pay 20 bucks to rent a TV movie. (Luckily the service was back on later that evening.) The pool was disgusting, people were eating while in the water, drinking in the pool and leaving beer cans all over, tons of oversized floats smacking you in the face. The trashes were overflowing and reeked with the heat. We called for a golf cart for a ride back to our room, it never showed. As we walked by the guy from valet said he wouldnt pick us up because we had kids, even though the front desk offered the service. They had free ice cold water by the pool which was great until I saw people sticking their nasty water bottles right up over the spout to get their free fill. They then sucked all over their water bottle only to do it all over again, not very hygienic. I can't believe that being a spa and golf resort they would allow smoking pretty much anywhere and it was everywhere. This is not a smoke free resort by any means!! There are a ton of smoking rooms by the pool so you are always getting the odor plus people smoke right by the door in and out of the pool. We have been past the Omni in Carlsbad and it looks so nice. This place not so much, we came instead of going to Vegas and it was a bummer move. Planned on staying 3 nights but thinking we will leave after 1 maybe 2 at the most. Very ghetto and not luxury at all. Would not recommend. Oh and to make it worse some girl puked in the big pool and they had to close it. People were wondering if they just scooped it up or actually shocked and cleaned it in time for the movie in the pool. Who knows?!

been playing this course for 25 yrs. its a golfer friendly course. sadly, they let it go in the summer time: the ruff is 8" and very wet, they cut the grass and let the clippings remain behind.
the greens remain tall (with 120 degree, they gave to). the staff is amazingly friendly.

The service is incredible here. From the spa, to the front desk, to the valet guys that will drive you back to your room and pick you up. Ben at the front desk was particularly awesome, as was David who drove us around in either a Chevy Tahoe (or similar) or a golf cart. They were all wonderful! Food was great at Peet's coffee shop as well as the restaurants there. Overall a divine experience. Can't wait to come back!

I travel a lot, for leisure or work. About 20% of my night are spent in a hotel room. This is the worst 4-star hotel I can remember staying at.
The property is untidy. Rooms are dirty, we had fingerprints everywhere. The carpet was stained and smelled. The bathroom door wouldn't work and a loud buzzing noise kept bugging us.
The property is huge and they only had three hand sanitizing stations (in the manager's words). Many staff members were not wearing masks and guests were not following any of the anti-COVID rules. Everybody on top of each other or queuing for the water slide.
It's also very expensive.
Avoid this place at all costs!

We just returned from a 5 night stay at the Omni Rancho Las Palmas. I've given it 5 Stars because truly there was not one thing for my family of 7 to complain about!

From the beautiful gardens, perfectly trimmed golf course and clean and warm pools, the Omni really stood out to us.

The two best things, that are absolutely going to bring my family back again, were CLEAN ROOMS, and AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE! I can't say enough about how warm and accommodating each and every staff member we spoke with was. We were able to get our requested adjoining walkout rooms, but after checking in, felt it was a bit too far from the pool considering we have 2 kids under 5. With no hesitation, they were able to get us switched on our 2nd night to a great room overlooking a green from the golf course, right around the corner from the pool entrance! And they even drove our bags over for us!

Lastly, one of our favourite parts was how each building had its own drive up parking spots so you didn't have to actually go to the lobby ever. Also, a quick dial of '0' on the phone could get you anything you wanted.

5 star, would stay again, and highly recommend that if you are reading this, you just click through and make a reservation, you will not be disappointed.

I spent 3 hours combing through different reviews to make sure this was going to be the right vacation for my family. I am very glad I decided to book! We checked in on July 8th and checked out July 11th. The rooms were spacious and clean. We couldn't hear our neighbors next door or below us so that was awesome. The pool area was very cool! Every employee we encountered was helpful and very accommodating with anything we needed. Do yourself a favor and just do it if you're thinking about going. Thank you Omni for a great experience! We will be back!

Great place for families. The lazy river and baby beach are perfect for kids of all ages. The hotel is nicely renovated but you can tell it's an old motel underneath. No elevators for second floor accommodations and the hallway are in bad shape.

To start off, it's a beautiful space and place, very well taken care off - the gardens, the golf course, all the blooming flowers around - just gorgeous! Tennis courst with most beautiful views. The pools are basic but hit the spot coming from very low winter temperatures. The rooms were very spacious and clean, loved the little "backyard" we had with a couple chairs. Why "3 stars"? 1. Splashtopia area was closed off for 3 days out of our week there. Sorry, but that's just disappointing for the kids to walk by the slides and the lazy river behind the fence and locked. Once opened, it was super fun even for adults but every day there were different rules. Somehow on day 2 the kids weren't allowed to float without the floatie....having spent ALL preivous day floating freely without one and 4 life guards not saying a word. Again, kinda disappointing for the kids. Kids aside, I understand the hotel pricing for snacks and food and expect them to be higher than usual...but some items were just way out of "reasonable" range - $7USD bag of chips ....really? Even the person at the till was nodding in my favour when I said "no, thanks". $10 to-go yoghurt parfait??!! Beer by the pool is $5.50(yay!) but kids ice cream(and I am talking orange creamsicle) was $7!!!! No wonder during the whole week I saw only one kid with an ice cream - poor dad had an obvious instant regret on his face. Had it not been partial work-related trip I am not sure we'd ever pick this place for a family vacation.
