Visiting for a convention. Great experience, helpful and friendly staff, from the reception lady who checked me in to the gentlemen in the golf carts who gave me a ride to avoid walking in heels. All very nice and friendly. Will recommend to anyone who is looking for great service, relaxing, lots if activities.

DANGER - watch out for the WaterPark during the summer. Sometimes they sell day passes and the people are rude and because they don't stay there they don't care! We had to change hotels.

Family friendly resort with lots of great activities: sand play area, toddler pool, river and slides.. plenty to keep them busy all day! Well kept grounds and beautiful scenery -- nice getaway.

First and foremost it s a five-star resort all the way. I am an Omni member. And this lived up to their brand. During such a challenging time Matt, Matt, Rick, and Caylee all at the pool/in charge of cabanas and service were outstanding in their customer care. Although they had limited availability with cabanas they accommodated my group and Me which allowed us to be able to continue celebrating a birthday comfortably and allowed me to continue to work remotely as an essential worker in such a fun and welcoming environment. Hats off to this team and the other employees for making this an awesome getaway weekend during a time when most hotels and businesses lack customer service and empathy. I ask that upper management please recognize these individuals as they went over and beyond to make sure our experience was as great as the Omni brand.

Why do they have to charge for WiFi?
Yes, you do charge for WiFi (The free WiFi is barely sufficient to open emails). and this was CLEARLY mentioned to us. Please do not blame it on lack of communication.

Fantastic resort! Our family of 6 had an absolute blast! All of our big kids received little backpacks with activities upon arrival - as well as milk and cookies their first night. You can imagine how happy they were. The pools were awesome, and the lifeguard staff was always diligent in their watch. The nightly movies by the pool were a huge hit, even with the parents. I loved that they even have a cool little covered sandpit area for really little kids, and a shallow spot where our 6 month old was able to chill and splash. If I had to even make one critical note, it was that the shower head in our room was intense. I mean, you're definitely not wishing for more water pressure ;) otherwise, nothing but positives! The staff was super accommodating and friendly!

The pillows and blankets had dust and hair on them. I had to call house keeping and had to change the pillow cases myself. The room smelled musty, the carpet was damp, and the room was dusty. I had to sleep with my T-shirt over my nose because the smell from the room bothered me. I give it a 2 star because the room was terrible and when I called the front desk, all the lady said to me was that she would tell housekeeping. The only great thing about the place was the pool staff were wonderful and the food was very good.

Good overall, good service. Issues were frequent failure of room and parking card key system (they had to eventually replace our room door lock) and bath did not drain, had to call a plumber.

Worst experience ever... Save your time and money.. You'll regret it. Pool was piss warm...people smoking everywhere... If you don't have kids stay away from this place. Staff was 50/50 (some nice some horrible).

One of our favorite places in Rancho Mirage, La Quinta and Palm Springs. Beautiful grounds, remodeled rooms, friendly staff and the best pools. The lazy river is a great place to relax and unwind.

This place was beautiful but definitely for the kids. The pool didn't seem very clean but I'm sure it's hard to do with so many kids ...
The beds were very uncomfortable.
The part that bothered us the most was we drove a couple hours to get there and arrived at 3pm when we were told we can check in on the phone. Well the guy at the front desk told us our room won't be ready until 4pm and basically told us to kick rocks and he would call us when our room was ready. We went across the street with my young child in the heat and waited for the call that never came. We finally just went to the room ourselves around 4:45ish and it was clean and ready. I thought that was very rude and unprofessional. It wasted our day which we payed for.. I won't be coming back to this place in particular but my young son did enjoy his birthday at the lazy river..

If you like big Cockroaches this is the place to book! If you get a pet room it smells like urine. Front desk staff tried to send a housekeeper to clean it vs getting a new room. Don't forget to order your dirt tasting margaritas for $14 a pop! Horrible experience, not worth the time or money.

How you do anything is how you do everything - details matter to me. This hotel has done a fabulous job with their online presence but reed and heed and don t be fooled!

This property is FAR from the Omni standard and it is inexpensive for a reason! We checked into our room and were greeted by flies, nasty fingerprints all over the cabinets, and a toilet that lacked a handle and so was inoperative. We walked to the pool snack bar to get some food and, upon seeing the scene at the pool, immediately turned around and drove the 2.5 hours home rather than stay. The pool area is crowded and the clientele are less than polite - to put it as mildly as I can. We knew immediately we wouldn t want to stay.

Let me reiterate - this place is inexpensive for a reason. Spend a little more for a nice experience or save yourself the money and stay at a motel by the highway, it s probably cleaner. Omni - you should reassess letting this property tarnish your good name.

Omni was great, some minor dislikes. No elevator if your on second floor so make sure you travel light. Pool was packed with people, but it is a nice aquatic scenery. Also a little pricey for the place.

Just finished a two night stay here. DO NOT STAY HERE! Rooms are unbelievably outdated, many room fixtures don t work. After 20 years staying at the JW, we decided we would try something different. Looking online, the hotel looked great! The pools looked like fun, the grounds looked well kept. When we checked in, we found multiple dirty diapers thrown in the bushes, the pool was so cloudy you couldn t even see the bottom. The room had old paint on the towel racks, door handles missing to the exterior patio, couch pillows with stains and bedding that looked like it hadn t been changed.
The next morning, while enjoying our coffee on the patio at 8am. The pool manager is talking to the pool service guy about how the pool hadn t been running all night but they dumped 15 gallons of chlorine in so it would be safe to open . This was only after a lifeguard was shouting about cockroaches in the pool At this point, we decided we would cut our trip short and head back to the JW. We spoke to a front desk manager and she offered us a suite to make up for the inconvenience. We decided to give them another chance, we switched rooms only to discover the suite is in the exact same condition as the previous room. Only one of the two patio doors has handles on it, there is no hot water in the shower, the couch has stains on it, and there is a giant orange extension cord sitting in the middle of the room. Given the upgrade, we overlook and head to the pool with family. While enjoying a beer poolside, we see two lifeguards come to the lazy river and throw a doll in for a surprise lifeguard training test . The lifeguard stated they had 10 seconds to make visual contact with the doll, and 20 seconds to retrieve the doll. All 4 lifeguards that were posted around the river failed. Not one rescued the doll, or even noticed it was in the water.
That brings us to check out day. We were rudely mistaken that they upgraded us for the inconvenience, they actually double charged our credit card and hit us with an upgrade fee.
Needless to say, don t waste your time staying here. It s dirty, unsafe, and the clientele is far from anything you want kids around. I only say this as on our last night there, we had marijuana being blown in our windows from the people staying next door. Stay away! Definitely not worth a try.

Vacation COVID19 style. We had a great time here, the staff were amazing and kept the place clean, they closed down areas multiple times a day to clean and sanitize!! I appreciate this very much. It was a bit crowded but people kept there distance and stayed 6 ft apart while in lines and while in the pool. Soo much fun to get away from our 4 walls amd enjoy the company of other people and being outside!

Hotel property and the rooms were clean. Food ordered by the pool was above average. Checking in and out was a breeze. Staff was friendly and helpful.
The pool management and staff was below average, however. Friday, the main pool had a lifeguard, but Saturday it did not? The main pool had several kids and adults on Saturday and not once did I see a lifeguard in the 5 hours I was sitting there. Unacceptable. Also, on the same day, there was a big group of adults who ordered food by the main pool. When their food arrived, they were served and eating the food while standing in the water. I saw a couple of items fall into the water. Really gross. Meanwhile, there was a pool supervisor who said or did nothing. Instead, he was too busy making sure the 4 moms sitting in front of me did not have glass cups. Not cool. Overall would stay there again, however would have to be careful around the pool.

Spa gets 5 stars, but the hotel only 3. I wish I could find a category for just the spa.
Massages at some resorts are frequently "phoned in" since clients may not be repeat or regular customers. However, Alex (female masseuse) Is top notch! She is just the right amount of talk/ not talk, and surprisingly powerful! I had such a great massage, that my daughter in law visited the next day. She was as happy as I with her service from Alex.
Additionally, the spa support staff poolside and in the locker rooms are delightful.
Overall the spa pools, saunas, and treatment areas are a welcome respite from the bustling family-friendly hotel grounds. Highly recommend.
