The best part of the Omni hotel is that it is centrally located at the Mall, but unfortunately you have to pay a large price both monetarily and service wise to get this location. I have stayed in this hotel for many years (15 consecutive) and unfortunately have seen a unsettling decline in the service in the past few years. I am a loyal customer, and like to support favored businesses, but at this point I think Charlottesville has many other solid hotel offering that I would not stay at this hotel again.

The check-in and check-out process were easy and the staff was pleasant (although we didn't get our wedding gift at check-in even though we booked under the wedding block, I had to explicitly ask for it at check out). I understand things sometimes get overlooked. The location was superb.

The room was relatively comfortable although the bathroom was incredibly tight.

However, my chief grievance during the stay was that there was blood on the outside of the shower curtain in the bathroom. Since this was one of the first things I noticed upon coming in, it made me question what other fluids were left around the room and not cleaned that weren't visible to the naked eye.

Given these factors and the price tag of $300/night, If I returned to Charlottesville, I would look elsewhere for accommodations during my stay.

Not crowded, decent service level, lots of gluten free options on the menus. Saunas in the health center, lots of great venues nearby such as Whiskey Jar, and the historic mall right on the door step.

Lovely and comfortable home-away-from-home for 2 days. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly to a person, and the room was, for the most part, very well equipped and comfortable. The bed in our room was saggy on one side and in 20-20 hindsight, wish I'd asked to switch rooms to one with a firmer mattress for our second night. I would stay at this Omni again -- and request a room with a firm mattress.

Omni Charlottesville is located on the pedestrian mall. It is a wonderful location allowing guests easy access to the restaurants and shops. the hotel itself is lovely. I will surely pick an Omni Hotel for another mini vacation.

They are pretty judgemental @ this hotel pulled up in my 50.000 pickup obviously not priced high enough for parking in front for check in , valet tried to run me off. Go inside and received the same treatment @ front desk assuming I could not afford the room rates.

Was a very quick visit but very pleasant. The staff was very friendly and willing to help. Check in and check out was very fast and easy. Security was really good. Have to use room key to even get on the elevator. Will definitely book this hotel for my next visit.

Excellent and beautiful hotel in an outstanding location. Very gracious staff. My only complaint is that basic WiFi should be a standard amenity for all guests at no additional charge. Other than that, we had a very enjoyable stay.

This Omni, located in Charlottesville, is an out dated hotel with great staff. The facility is waiting for renovation. Overall, the hotel is just average, as of the writing of this review. The disappointment was in the quality of the bathroom. Cramped, dated and poor functionality. The staff tried to accommodate and resolve the problem and deserve create for their efforts. Choosing the Omni for this adventure was a mistake prior to the renovation.

A premier hotel in the heart of Charlottesville with eay access to food an entertainment downtown and a quick drive to the finest Virginia wineries. Excellent customer service, and personable staff. Highly recommended.

The rooms were very nice, employees were all very nice. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because they have a snack area you can buy things but it closes at 10pm even though there are front desk people there 24hrs. Only other option is to download an app that delivers since all the stores near by close early.

Very pleasant accommodations right next to a bunch of delightful craft shops, bookstores, and eateries with a wide variety of cuisines (ethnic, americana diner style, fusion, frozen confections, etc.) - all just steps from the hotel.

Great experience! Staff from beginning to end was great - friendly and prompt. Room service options and food were expansive and really good. Price was great for the service! Location was perfect as well.

Location is right on the walking mall. Nice indoor pool and hot tub. Room was well appointed and quiet. Service was excellent, and turndown service included milk and cookies, which my daughter loved. Would stay again.

Good hotel. Most excellent location. Great staff. Okay food. There are far better restaurants/bars feet away from the hotel. Don't let them book you in room 233 (the room right next to the pool and fitness center), unless you like being treated to all number of sounds throughout the day and night. Aside from that, a fine place. Super clean rooms (although the bathroom is really, really small), comfy beds, room service, nice accommodations (e.g., restaurant, bar, coffee shop, indoor and outdoor pool, fitness center, business center, and pleasant lobby). 9/10 I'd stay there again, but not in room 233.

EDIT: Hotel Management and Customer Service is exemplary. Had I stayed more than one night, I'm sure they would have given me a different room. They reached out to me about the dreadful room 233 and were very helpful. 10/10 I will stay there again.

Apart from the smell of chlorine when walking into the lobby and small bathrooms, I can not fault this place. It was less than half the price of the inns we had looked at, friendly staff who even marked a tourist map of things to see and do and the room was very comfortable and modern including a flatscreen. Then there is the location which could not be better right at the end of the downtown mall and also walking distance to the university too. There is no free wifi, however it is free in the mall. If I were to return to Charlottesville we'd definitely stay here again.

I love staying Omni hotels; I always feel like a special guest. For this particular visit, I had a large package shipped to me ahead of my arrival, and the front desk handled it, no sweat. Insider tip: sign up for the rewards program. You get perks like free beverages and a loyalty ambassador.

I don't usually leave reviews...but I felt I should for this hotel. The hotel lobby and rooms were clean and the location was very convenient to downtown. The bathroom VERY TINY...there was hardly room to turn around in the bathroom. What disappointed me the most was the lack of complimentary coffee. I know this might sound petty, but I've stayed in hotels all over the country and beyond and have never stayed somewhere that did not offer coffee. You have to go to the gift shop and purchase your coffee...thankfully I had my wallet (usually I don't carry my wallet while I'm still half asleep looking for coffee)

Really great staff, beautiful location, very clean...

Really great staff, beautiful location, very clean, and great access to some really sweet spots in the heart of Charlottesville. Wine and dine HARD on a drunken walk on the brick stone street where you'll find the few places in Charlottesville still open while adults are awake to do adult things. Like eating fancy foods and over doing it on the 9% abv craft beers. Or grabbing some cheap but very serviceable pizza entirely too late while slamming Natty Bo's; whatever floats your boat. The bars will be packed, the live bands will be loud, the appetizers will be overpriced; but all that's fine. You're drunk, everyone's beautiful, interesting, or both, and that drummer is killing it.
So the partying concludes and it's time to hit the 'ol dusty trail. You manage to find your conveniently located hotel at the very end of this glorious road/mall, and even manage to find your room with clear signage that your lizard brain can just make out. You definitely haven't lost your room key, as you're pretty sure you needed it to get on the elevator. It's definitely not in your wallet as you stand at the door- where did it go? Your eyes finally process the card on the floor, so you bend down, and down, and down- what were you going for here?- right, the key. So you grab the key, tag the sensor and you're home free. But wait! It's time to let some of those demons out! So you bust open the door to conquer your throne and- what the what? "This is my bathroom in this beautiful hotel, downtown, and in walking distance to some of the hottest spots in downtown Charlottesville? What?" It's small. It's the closet that your abusive babysitter used to lock you in when she couldn't handle your antics small. Yelling at you in Spanish from the other side, probably telling you how you should think about how much you suck. So you have a seat, immobilized but thinking about the fine, but absolutely tiny countertop immediately to your right that you'll be washing your hands in. And the shower, abutting your left leg, that you'll probably use in the morning as being this far in the bag and taking a shower would be an absolute hazard to your health. Good thinking. Finish your business and lay on the comfy bed in the fine stupor you find yourself in. Commence the Zzz's.

Anyway, the wife and I had a good time. Bathrooms are a bit small, tho.

Our stay at the Omni was fantastic. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Definitely check out the pools both indoor and outdoor. The hot tub was very clean and comfy. The gym was a little small but all of the equipments were in great condition. Especially love the spa and generous towels including bathrobe. You'd need a room card to access the parking space area both going in and when leaving. Also, we received Free internet when you joined the free membership
