Very nice hotel mostly due to the Omni s professional, helpful, courteous staff! Terrific location as well. Solidly built rooms keep most noise out - as well as the volume limits on the tv. Workout room was a good size and included nice amenities!

Looks a bit outdated from the main entrance. However its very clean and has a beautiful main lobby. The ACP conference was held there this past weekend. The rooms are tidy and comfy. Great amenities. There are local restaurants and bars and shops located on the opposite side of the main lobby entrance. Its the historic downtown Charlottesville area. Very cute reminds of England and walking through their town centers. Staff was very friendly and the front desk had chargers to charge my phone since I forgot mine at home!

Very helpful and pleasant front desk staff, Kristina Johnson was most helpful when a third party did not book a reservation for me which should have been included with my tour group.
The room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast buffet had an ample selection.
The hotel opens onto the downtown shopping mall with many quaint shops and fine restaurants.

Nice hotel and staff, and GREAT LOCATION ... but they cut corners in the basic amenities in the bathroom. The tub/shower didn't drain quickly enough so we were standing in ankle deep water while showering and the toilet paper was the CHEAPEST on the market. Neither should have happened in a hotel at this price point.

Very nice my wife's work had a Makesarade Ball. The drinks were simple but good. The patato bar was just as good as the large ham that was sliced up.the space is nice for larger company it would make sense.

The location and customer service is outstanding. The rooms are clean. It's not the most modern of the Omni hotels, but it was a nice place to stay. They have both indoor and outdoor pools, an indoor hot tub, and a well-equipped gym.

I am a Charlottesville local and so I have never stayed at The Omni. However, this is the hotel of choice for many of my out of town colleagues when they visit, and as a result I have been to a number of meals and meetings at the hotel. Overall every experience I have had at The Omni has been very pleasant. The staff is friendly and helpful, the food has been very good when I've had it, and the surroundings are very nice. The only improvement I would suggest is that the decor seems somewhat outdated and it might be time for a renovation, although everything seems to be in very good repair.

Went for the Thanksgiving dinner. Only had one server, took 45 minutes to get our order taken, another 45 minutes to get our food. My water glass was empty most of the night. This is what $38 a plate plus a 20% gratuity gets me? If you can't handle a Thanksgiving dinner, don't be open. If you're going to be open, make sure you're properly staffed and capable.

Very clean, very knowledgeable and friendly staff, very close to the downtown corridor. Beautiful front lobby. Free covered parking. Walking distance to excellent restaurants, pubs and shopping. Really enjoyed our stay here. No complaints.

I stayed for one night for a weekend getaway. I was excited as Omni is usually a high quality location. Unfortunately this one isn't. They were decent looking rooms, could use some updating but nothing major at first look. But the mattress was horrendous. They need to be replaced ASAP. I wanted to leave in the middle of the night due not getting any sleep because it was such an uncomfortable bed. I know that "quiet time" starts at 10:30pm yet people were loud at midnight. Only having one vending machine (that is out of half of the options) is unacceptable. But I really appreciated the man at the front desk opening the gift shop at 12:30am just for me to get a soda. Overall, I would find a different hotel next visit.

Excellent hotel right at where everything is happening at Charlottesville! Ample of privacy and great for both family and business stay. Great pool and jacuzzi. Excellent dessert menu (try the pecan, chocolate cheese cake). Highly recommended.

My daughter and I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. It is a short walk ( like 2 minutes) to a cute street of shops, restaurants, and a theater. Also a quick walk to the largest farmers market i have visited so far. Very enjoyable!

Beautiful hotel, friendly staff, and very convenient to the Historic Downtown Mall. Also, the parking garage is very convenient for the stay - especially since we had snow during our visit and didn't have to wipe our car off! We will definitely return for another relaxing weekend away.

Nice enough hotel. I went there for a holiday party. I have to say I was very disappointed with the food. I had chicken mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables. It was all overcooked. The mashed potatoes were not creamy at all.

This is a great location. The Downtown pedestrian mall is just out the back door as is the trolley stop to UVA. The staff always remembers who you are and are nice, professional and accommodating. Great stay!

Sometimes it is the little things that make travel easy. This particular trip was our first one with twin babies in tow. The staff at the hotel was so nice and helpful during our stay. Things like helping me mail a package, receiving a complimentary beverage in the morning, taking time to talk genuinely with me, helping with a car-load of bags and baby stuff, and making sure our stay was amazing. The Omni Charlottesville is one of the absolute best places to stay.

The hotel was attractive and modern, with ample parking and a very nice lobby with atrium and fountains. Guest room with queen bed was spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was delicious, with good variety and a very reasonable price.

This is an older hotel a mile from the campus of UVA. It's close to some great running paths... sitting in the downstairs restaurant, you see a steady stream of runners out the window. Although a bit older, the rooms are spacious, the decor is nice, and the personnel are very friendly.

A little older hotel, but decent rooms and a great location.. can t beat that! They do have a little shop (I needed Advil late once), and the front desk was able to open up their little shop for me to purchase.

Just ok. The staff was great. The location though by The Mall is nice but just about everything was closed on a Sunday evening. They advertise free WiFi, but you have to putz around with getting your email on their mailing list, so it s not free. If you re the kind of person who may need to visit a CVS at 11:00 at night, don t stay here. The rooms were very small, so the person who said they are spacious must have had a handicap room. Fully sprinklered (in case you care about safety), some parking is covered which is nice cause it was raining miserably.

It was a solid hotel. It had old looking rooms but with very fluffy beds and lead for a good sleep. The overall hotel, however, was not worth the price for what I payed. It was close to the main strip of restaurants and shops, which is great when you settle into your room and want a bite to eat.

The hotel staff takes care of its customers. They stand behind their word and take care of the guests needs. This is what hospitality should be and sets them apart from other chains. Charlottesville location is perfect for walking the city.

The redevelopment of the downtown in C-ville has been very successful at least from the traveller's perspective. The centerpiece is the Omni which readily competes with larger chains. The ease of vehicle access to and from the property is much appreciated, along with a large parking facility some of which is covered. It is walkable in decent weather to the University and the dining / drinking choice from the hotel make this the obvious choice for the routine or one-off visit to Charlottesville.

The employees made sure that everything was running smoothly despite the lobby being so filled with people. They welcomed guests and overall the mood was very pleasant. If someone was looking for a place to stay in Charlottesville I would recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel and rooms with great location on the mall but all the room AC systems seem to smell faintly of mildew (3 out of 3 rooms). Always gives me a headache. Most people don't seem to notice it though.

Loved this hotel!!! Very convenient location, great and accomodating staff. The best and most comfortable beds and Nest toilettries. The water pressure was also amazing, but you do have to pay for Wi-Fi.

I am originally from Charlottesville and chose this hotel when I came back for a visit with family. I will never stay here again. The rooms are super small and outdated, the shower floor was curved down and the tub didn t drain and the noise level was ridiculous. We heard girls giggling all hours of the night and kids in the hallway running and slamming doors. The location is the only reason for the 1 star. And as for the friendly employees in other reviews....we didn t encounter them. The front desk person was helpful one morning when I had a question but otherwise no one even said good morning, hello, or welcome back. I will not recommend this hotel to friends or family.

Trying to plan an event but sales staff pretty much said they were too busy to fool with us. Finally talked them into giving us sample menus and a promise to talk to us later in the Spring. WAY under impressed with their people skills. But they might be the only game in town for larger groups? Maybe we mere mortal folks have to tolerate the 'tude?
