Attended a wedding reception on a Saturday night. It was the perfect location for this kind.l of event, right off of the downtown mall. The entire event ran extremely smoothly, great service, lots of space, and a pretty venue.

We had a work function at the Omni. The service, food and banquet hall was eloquent.

Sitting at one end of an outdoor mall, this hotel was conservative, clean, and convenient to everything.

My co-workers and I visit the Omni for lunch frequently. They have a pretty tasty lunch buffet at reasonable price (>$15 with a drink). The brisket is a highlight.

Best location in Charlottesville on the downtown mall.
Very friendly and professional staff.
Rooms are comfortable, spacious and quiet.
Interiors a bit dated, and pillows and linens are sub par in today's market at this price point.

I've both stayed as a guest and attended an event here, and both times were pleasant experiences. Staff were friendly. The atmosphere was serene and cozy. Our room was a much needed respite.

Went to the annual piano concert. Great young talent! Thank you, Omni, for helping put on this event!

Very respectable lobby, well kept area and space around the hotel. Highlight of walking mall.

Nice stay, food was good reasonably priced. Rooms could be updated on some things. Beds were small but comfortable. The front desk especially sherry were awesome. Will stay again.

Beautiful lay out for the Elegance of Bridal Show it was a good time, plenty of nice vendors out for the occasion. Lots of good information along with just a festive environment. Omni did a wonderful job today

Nice place overall, beautiful outside pool plus indoor pool and hot tub. Quick access to the pedestrian mall. Which had many restaurants and movie theatre. Staff are great. Restraint is a little pricey.

It was a nice experience over all. I liked the fact that it was very close to town center.

This was not a 4-star luxury hotel at all. It was more like a 2 star hotel. Felt more like an upgraded Econo Lodge. I have been to an Omni hotel in Houston, Texas where it was wonderful and luxurious and the rooms were clean and big, but the Omni at Charlottesville was a complete disappointment. I booked a deluxe room with a king sized bed which turned out to be a tiny room with a king sized bed squished in and two ugly, uncomfortable chairs; there wasn't even a microwave. The bathroom was so small you had to squeeze in to close the door. Also, the bathroom was unsafe as water could easily be spilled everywhere in the tiles and counter leaving high chances of slipping and injuring oneself. The carpet was old and not clean and some parts were sticking out; in fact, the entire building is in need of a serious renovation; it's like it hasn't been renovated since 1989. Overall, I got ripped-off. For over $200 a night you expect at least something of that worth. The pool was also a complete joke like a pool you'd expect in a prison: ugly, small, and uncomfortable surrounded by brick walls. Never will I stay here again. The insulation is also dreadful, first we could easily hear footsteps from upstairs which was obnoxious, second, the air would turn on for 20 seconds then turn off for 20 minutes before repeating the same cycle again making us feel hot in the room and uncomfortable. The location was fantastic, but this is not a 4-star luxury hotel, in fact, this should be considered deceit in making people think otherwise and stealing their money. Service could also have been much better, I have seen the same type of service in motels. This is nothing against the Omni as I had a wonderful experience in Houston, Texas, but, specifically, the Omni at Charlottesville. And the fact that the mini fridge has two doors just to open was completely asinine. And the outside of the hotel looked like it was a STAPLES warehouse, just ridiculous.

The location is excellent if you're doing anything downtown on the mall. The free wifi is good and the rooms are quiet and great for sleeping.

My in laws stayed here, rooms looked very nice and they reported that the staff were very good.

It's a relatively small hotel but the staff members there are nice and treat you as family. It's right at the downtown mall in Charlottesville, which you can shop and enjoy the nice restaurants there easily. Charlottesville is a historical town and you will find it peaceful and enjoyable.

Parking was easy, food/drink service at conference was good, staff were friendly

Hotel was very pricey for regular rooms. Very small bathroom. Good location, walking distance to restaurants and shops. Attached garage parking.

This an older hotel if the price is low its a great place to stay but if they're not offering deals there are newer hotels nearby with more amenities.

With this Omni what you are paying extra for are the available anemities, service, and location. It is attached to Cville downtown which is tons of fun to walk and relax. All Omni people I encountered were super nice and able to answer questions.

The downside (and why it's not a 5 rating) is the bathroom. Not what I would expect for a 4 star. Teeny tiny with a standard shower tub. Didn't look to be in the best shape either.

The most luxurious hotel in Charlottesville and boy does it impress! Even with UVA it s tough to sustain a real high class hotel in a small town like Charlottesville but Omni does it well. The instant you walk in you feel like it s in Manhattan or similar. It s also connected right into the Downtown Mall which makes it easy to explore and visit the establishments there without even crossing the street - it s built right in.

Dinner food, service, and bartender were excellent. The room was tremendously overpriced, the breakfast food was overpriced, and the breakfast service was unacceptable.

Magnificent hotel with great staff and wonderful indoor and outdoor pool, sauna and jacuzzi. DEFINITLY 5 starts all the way!

I attended the BRHBA dinner. Always a wonderful dinner and great service. The staff is very professional and courteous.

Food was ok. Parking was a hassle. Meeting rooms were nice and wifi was fast.

Wonderful hotel. I had a great stay and it is close to a lot of places to shop and eat at by foot!

Nice brunch buffet. The omelette station can take a while, but the results are tasty. There is plenty to eat right away, if you want.

I met a colleague to discuss our work and plan our next day's meeting. The lobby is very nice and we were able to use the fairly small business center. The location of the hotel is great, right there on the downtown mall with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby.

The concierge was very helpful and the room was very nice.

Great location and very nice staff. Walk directly onto the downtown mall for shopping and dining. Also great that they offer free parking. The atrium and public areas are very nice. I would rate this as a three star hotel based upon the room. It is not a luxury experience in any way. Dated small bathroom with no stall shower and only a tub with shower curtain, only one sink, only one person can use at a time. No where in the room such as a dressing table with mirror either. No turn down service. Similar to. Hilton Garden Inn for example but with nicer public spaces. No one greets you when you drive up. Again typical for average hotel.

I like th is place due to it being pet friendly. The housekeeping service was better this time than 5 months ago. All oceanfront rooms, morning breakfast, exercise room and a inside pool

This was a very nice place for a conference to be held. The food and beverages that were provided were excellent. Everything was clean and well taken care of. The staff were helpful and kind while also being unobtrusive during the conference.

Stayed here twice for a conference. Nice, clean rooms. Staff is courteous and helpful. Easy access to movie theater, restaurants, and shops right outside its backdoor.

I recently stayed at Omni Charlottesville to attend the VAZO conference for work. It was immediately easy to see why the Virginia Association of Zoning Officials chooses Omni every year. My mother joined me so that my young son could be with me. The staff was very attentive to her and son and helped them with early check in as well as a very generous late checkout. Staff was beyond friendly, especially to my very outgoing friendly 2 year old! Everywhere we went there seemed to be a staff member making sure we were happy and offering to get us anything we needed. The pool was no exception. The water and fruit offered in the pool area was an excellent touch. Not only 1, but 2 gentleman walked into the pool area and asked if we needed anything and reminded us to help ourselves to some water. The room and the amenities offered were also spot on and wonderful. The serving staff that helped with meals during the conference were wonderful as well. I could go on and on. I truly enjoyed my stay at Omni, even though I spent most of it in a class! The Omni Corporation really has a gem in the staff they have in Charlottesville. The hotel is beautiful and in a wonderful location, but it would still be nothing if it wasn't for the excellent staff. I cant say enough wonderful things about this place! Thank you for a wonderful stay and for making myself, my mom, and my son feel like royalty! We hope to be back again soon!

The Omni is fine. Probably the nicest place to hold meetings downtown.

Although I only attended the resteraunt. The service throughout the hotel was wonderful, and the food was excellent. The buffet style may diseve you however it's excellent and they have other options too! I would recommend

Great location next to downtown walkable cobblestone streets with awesome gift shopping. Service was good. I arrived at about midnight and even though room service was still open, the front desk also have me a great greek diner delivery option which had many more choices and delivered to your room. A great choice. Clean rooms. Excellent place to hold a small conference.

Was in town from NYC for a wedding and stayed at the Omni. The staff and facilities were top notch. Gym and pool area and sauna were pristine. Lunch at the restaurant was affordable, filling, and delicious. Would give a 6 if I could, highly recommended.

Very upscale and very nice with the perfect location next to the downtown walking mall. Many restaurants, bars and shops within easy distance from the hotel.

The property is situated at one end of the mall, so it s an ideal spot. And it would appear that army is resting on its locational Laurel s so to speak. Because the property itself is rather dumpy and in definite need of upgrading/a makeover.

Room was small and dated, while Wi-Fi worked, it was continually disconnecting and reconnecting. And of course the toilet was running throughout my entire stay

Service at the hotel was Fine when ever I needed assistance, but was not proactive or outgoing. I felt like they were generally preoccupied and had time to deal only with incoming requests. It may be just a function of the state of the physical property, which is in need of an upgrade. I don t know what other options there are in town, but I will definitely try a different property next time.

Went in for Sunday brunch. Won't be going back. Service was not good. Just a general lack of hospitality from everyone on the property.

This Omni is wonderful! They are completely focused on customer satisfaction and they must be thoroughly training all employees because all are similarly focused.

Loved our weekend here! Stayed here while in Charlottesville for a wedding and it was the perfect location being right on the Downtown Mall. Rooms were clean and fairly spacious for standard sized rooms, and the atrium lobby area is a great place to hang out/wait for your group to congregate. Convenient to UVA campus too- only a mile walk or run to the Rotunda- and super convenient to walk out the back door to the Downtown Mall coffee shops, restaurants, bars and stores. They have decent coffee down in the lobby in the mornings for free too. Parking garage is fairly convenient and connected to the hotel.
