While the hotel itself is nice and the location was perfect, our room was pretty bad. There was mold on the bathroom wall and ceiling and the tub would fill up with water while taking a shower even though the drain was completely open. There are renovations going on so hopefully they fix some of the issues on the lower floors.

Beware of the hidden costs. In the business center, printing black & white is posted as free, but I was still charged. The front desk was not able to reimburse, but did provide a discount off my last night s stay. Overall, great place for conferences - connected to conference center and mall. Downtown location is great, too.

Nice, upscale hotel in a great location with lots of easy accessible shops. Had a good amount of issues during my stay including not notifying my when my room was ready, losing my baggage and placing a random bag in my room, AC wasn't working for a good portion of the day, and the elevators went down for a while. Staff and rooms are nice, but they seen to have a lot of issues.

It would have been nice if the front desk had warned us that the rooftop club across the street plays club music until 2 am (or 3 if you re lucky enough to stay during Daylight Saving like us). Thanks to the bass, it sounded like the DJ was in our room with us. There is zero soundproofing. Times Square is quieter than this place at night. DO NOT stay here with children or if you value sleep.

Three stars is being generous... Hotel is not visible when finding location. No hotel shuttle...ridiculous! Price of room is EXTREMELY high for little to no amenities!!! No where to hang your towels in bathroom. You have to ask for housekeeping to service your room. However, customer service is great and with a smile!

We LOVE OMNI Downtown Charlotte, NC. The new renovations and designs are gorgeous! From the beautiful marble flooring to the fabulous guest room furniture & design, to the amazing pool and the exceptional service, professionalism & hospitality of all the staff, our experience was fantastic! Douglas Hustad made us feel welcome and my husband really enjoyed talking with him and learning about the new amenities. I wish I could remember all of the staff's name to write here as every one of them were a pleasure to work with. You can count on Omni's luxurious branding. Charlotte Omni is the simply the best!

I have been to this property several times and the staff is always amazing. If you need help with local sights or dinner recommendations, speak to the concierge Darrel. He's fantastic. The location is perfect for accessing EpiCenter, but the noise at night can be a little much.

Wonderful service as always; stayed last weekend after a concert at TWA. Everyone there is so professional and you always get service with a smile. The Omni is the best location, central to all of the wonderful uptown restaurants and venues.

The Omni hotel has a great location since it is located above the Bank of America plaza (restaurants, Walgreens etc.) I also suggest signing up for the Select Guest program, that way you enjoy more of your stay with its benefits (free Wifi, complimentary beverages in the morning). We also chose the 'Park & Play' package deal that came with free parking at an affordable nightly rate. We definitely enjoyed our stay here, it is really a family-friendly hotel. The only thing I had slight trouble with was the bathroom -- very small, confined space between the toilet and the bathtub/shower.

I visited the Omni for the week on a little get-away and I just have to leave a review! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and the best part about it was the service. Thank you for keeping the standards of addressing me as "Ms. Andrews" every time I spoke with anyone, moving very quickly when I needed something, and really making me feel respected as a guest. Thank you for treating me no different than the businessman checking in at the same time. Not one of your employees made eye contact with me and didn't smile and greet me as I came in everyday. The valet staff, the bell service staff, those at check-in, EVERYONE was kind and I can appreciate that. Yes, as some other reviews state, the room decor isn't the most modern and edgy but I would accept a simple room design with great respect over a fancy layout and not made to feel valued any day. Convenient to everything, I walked to several places to eat and the Epicenter for some fun on Thursday. There was a starbucks and convenience store connected so I didn't even have to move my car one of the days during my stay. Parking was a bit pricey but even that heightened my experience, having had valet meet me at the door any time I wanted to depart the hotel. I'll certainly be back!

I read the reviews before booking my reservation. ...

I read the reviews before booking my reservation. Many good and some bad. Just figured that since the pandemic, there would be less guests and staff would pay more attention. First I want to say that if I had to do over again I would definitely choose this hotel. It is well designed and the location couldn t be beat. Has the potential of a five star hotel but more attention to detail would make customers experience much better. Here is a list of issues we had with the hotel:

1. Celebrating a birthday weekend and asked for an add-on of wine and strawberries to be delivered to room. They were there when we arrived and it looked great. Until it was time to open bottle. No bottle opener and the staff was having problems finding one. They eventually did but took a while and it ruined the moment.

2. Placed us in a room where the air conditioning was only blowing hot air. They sent Maintenece up but he couldn t fix it. I requested another room. They complied and we had to pack up and change rooms. My wife wasn t too happy because she loved the bathroom set up because it was much bigger in our original room. Just started our visit off with so many bad experiences.

3. After first night we got up and planned to leave for a day of shopping and celebrating her birthday. We left around 10am and returned after 5. We received no turn down service with only an explanation of the pandemic. This was never mentioned prior and we had to request new towels. Would of been nice to know prior.

4. I had read the reviews so I knew about no food being offered and bar being closed during the week. But it was never mentioned without me asking to double check. I also knew about the $35 car valet fee that is mandatory per day. Never mentioned without me asking as well. Just glad I planned for it.

Like I said we would definitely try once more because of location and hopefulness of the potentials post pandemic. Outdoor bar area was amazing but if your looking for a nice family pool, this isn t the location. I gave it a three because of all the issues but everyone was very nice, just understaffed and needed more attention to details.

Nice hotel. We stay here when we go to Charlotte. Always enjoy the stay. Well placed in the center of all the action in uptown Charlotte. It can be a little noisy because it is close to the epic center if you have a room on the same side of where all the late night action is happening. Not that big of a deal for me.

My first time staying at the Omni was the most amazing experience! I was able to stay in a renovated room with a great view. The staff was more than helpful. Check in was so easy and the staff recommended some great places! Uptown Charlotte is a busy place with lots to do! Choose the OMNI!!

The hotel was dated and under construction. My room reeked of cigarette smoke despite being a non smoking room. The rug was filthy and the bathroom light was likely less than a 20 watt bulb. Never again.

The service was awesome! It's clear that they value their guests. The rooms look a bit outdated but I hear they may be renovating so I'd imagine an even better experience when my boyfriend and I return.

Arrived and was upgraded to a suite. Unfortunately it was on the 6th floor. I was woken at 1:30 am by people screaming outside. Then awoken again at 6:30 by Sunday morning construction work. We should have been told about all the noise...I would have been happier in a regular room on a high floor.

The bedding was awful. Scratchy sheets that where so tighy tucked they seemed riveted to the bed frame. Pillows where lumpy old and terribly uncomfortable. The decor was quite unappealing. Ick there was only one trash can and it was located by the desk. No trash can in the bathroom.

The staff was friendly and room serve prompt.

I think we ll try another hotel when we return to Charlotte.

After checking out, they charged my credit card for smoking in the room . I called and spoke to the front desk manager, Dan who claimed to have unquestionable evidence (photographs), but he REFUSED to let me see the evidence . I contested the charge with Visa and after the investigation, I won the dispute and the charge was removed. The nerves of these people for trying to falsely accusing someone but refusing to provide any backup. I guess the just wanted an extra $400.00 got nothing.

Attended Vision Quest last week which was held at the Omni Charlotte Hotel. Very clean, friendly staff, great location and a nice area to network in with colleagues. Bar area is just off the registration area where you can have beverages and if you are hungry there is a dining area too! Recommend bringing a jacket/sweater/shawl as the conference rooms were chilly!

I stayed at the Omni when in Charlotte for a concert. I was able to receive the room for a discounted rate from a popular hotel booking website. If I had paid full price for this room which would have been between $200-$300, I would be highly upset. The hotel building was nice and the staff was extremely friendly, but I was a little disappointed with the room. I'm not sure how it qualifies as a four star hotel. Perhaps because they offered 24hr room service. You can order breakfast by hanging a tag on your door requesting what items you would like and what time they should be delivered. There is also a mini bar, but the bottle of water was $6, so I didn't want to find out what they charged for that.
The bedding was nice clean and fresh, the toiletries were decent. They offered white robes, but I didn't use them. The room was a little cramped, and underwhelming. There was a fridge (The mini bar fridge was probably set at 60 degrees F), or microwave. There was a nice view of the city, and the curtains were great for blocking out the sun, but you could still hear the city noise. The room felt old popcorn 8ft ceilings, fake headboard mounted to the wall, small age-stained bathtub shower combo, the air vent rattled, and the ice machine near the elevator was very loud.
All that being said, I feel like the lobby and main floor were great. Very clean and open, lot of natural light. The main floor felt like being in an airport or mall. There were several restaurants, a pharmacy, a bank, and even a shoe repair shop. Perhaps my expectations were too high, but I've stayed in far nicer hotel rooms with a lower star rating.

3.5 stars, hopefully will be 4-5 after the renevations but rooms are dated, clean and no problem but old and somewhat worn if you look close enough. Again they are going through a major reno so Ill keep this hotel on the list for sure as it is a great location to EVERYTHING in Uptown(unlike NY and the north they call downtown, the center of everything, Uptown) where it truly is a great location so Ill keep looking at pics and waiting for the upgrades and come back here. Great staff also!!

My daughter and I evacuated to Charlotte during the recent hurricane. From the time we checked in to the time we left, we had a great time!

Some highlights include:
- at check in the front desk staff gave my daughter an Omni Kids goodie bag - she really loved it!
-Club 14 was a great place to grab a quick bite to eat throughout the day.
- the room was nice, well-decorated. There weren't as many unique features as other upscale hotels, but the room was comfortable.

I only had two minor issues: the internet was slow and the roof top pool water was cold. Neither of these would deter me from staying here again.

Beautiful hotel for foodies and families. The Omni Charlotte is in walking distance of some amazing restaurants and bars. Even if you don't leave the hotel you can find great food and drinks. The gym is insane. More equipment than you might be used to and a full basketball court upstairs, but the hours on the weekend are not great. So, get in early and work off the calories you are going to take in with all the great food and drinks you're going to find within a short walk from the hotel.

The Omni IS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. Me and my wife stayed here and traded in our car. Only 2 vehicles were ever parked and they were charging us for 3. When I went to ask I was told I needed to dig through trash for parking tickets in order to have the charge removed. They did nothing for me at all.

It was my first time in North Carolina, and I wanted to meet up with an old college friend who lives in Charlotte and go out. I chose this hotel based on location, and I was very pleased with the what I booked. The hotel is within walking distance of various uptown bars and night clubs (A lot to be found at the EpiCenter) and some great restaurants. If you are looking to close out the bars with friends, I would definitely recommend staying here.

HOWEVER, if you are looking for a quiet place with a good night sleep to rest before an early weekend flight or have children in tow, I would advise against it. I stayed on the 10th floor on a Friday night and could clearly hear the loud music from a neighboring roof nightclub starting at around 8pm. After leaving for the evening, I returned to my room around 1:30am and could still hear music until the club closed at 2. I don't think the club is open M-W, but I could imagine it being very hard to sleep.

Other than that, the rooftop pool was nice, the bed was very comfortable, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and if you sign up for a complementary e-membership for the Omni, they give you free WiFi (I just provided my old e-mail address from high school where groupon deals and other special offers go to die).

The staff was friendly and helpful

Hotel location downtown. This may appeal to some people. The issue is this hotel has very little sound proofing. We were on the tenth floor and could still hear every car horn, motorcycle and even people talking.

Valet parking is your only option. It s fairly expensive

Mini fridge in our room didn t work
Ice Machine in our floor didn t work.
Small pool

Unfortunately the hotel restaurant is still closed due to Covid.

Overall I wouldn t stay here again, If you prefer a downtown location this may be ideal for you. I m sure the ice machine and mini fridge not working is not the norm.

Rooms were nice, but small. My visit was for vacation, and there is a new poolside bar which is one of the reason we chose this hotel. However, the bar didn t open until 4:00 pm, so that was a bummer at 2:00 pm. The front desk did hold our bags after check out so we could grab breakfast, so that was a bonus.

Stayed there for a wedding. It is an older hotel undergoing EXTENSIVE renovation. The air conditioning went out at 8 in the morning on a 95 degree day and didn't come back on until after five. The rooms are awkwardly shaped and the beds are old. The lobby smelled like stagnate water. The only saving grace of this hotel is that it is connected to a plaza with great coffee shops and food options.

I stayed with your hotel a few weeks ago and wanted to let you know about my experience. I was looking up different hotels in the area and determined I was going to stay at the Omni. I looked at the rooms, prices and availability. I'd received a groupon email with a 20% off discount available so looked to see if the Omni was an option and it was. I booked a double queen for the weekend of July 23rd for 2 nights. I received my confirmation and was all set. The day of my arrival came and I was driving up with another couple and was going to be meeting my husband up there. He arrived before I did so he checked in. Once in the room he called me and said that it had only 1 king bed in it and tried to switch it to what we booked, but was told by a young woman that there were no other rooms available. She said that there a conference going on and all of the double queens were booked and when my reservation was sent from groupon it was for a single king bed. I called groupon to try to figure out what was going on. I spoke with a young lady who said that they did send over the correct information and it did say the room was suppose to be a double queen. I called and spoke with a manager named Greg and explained what was going on. He said the same thing basically. That groupon sent over the wrong reservation and there was nothing they could do because they were full. He suggested that I call groupon back and speak with a manger there. I did so and was told that they were going to call the Omni and get it straightened out. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case and groupon said that the Omni overbooked their double queen bedrooms and there wasn't anything else available. I arrived at the hotel and spoke with another young lady who said she was the manager. I told her the predicament and asked if there was anything that could be done. She looked at a couple of things in the computer and said that there wasn't anything that could be done at that point. I headed up to the room that my husband was in and looked around online to see if there were any other hotels available. I wasn't able to find anything comparable so wasn't sure what to do. I contacted groupon and was transferred to a manager named Brian. He apologized for the mix up and said that he would give a 50% refund for the hassle. That was very nice, but still didn't fix our bed situation. I called down to the front desk and asked for a pull out bed which they said they didn't have. I then asked for some blankets so we could try to make a bed on the floor. I thought maybe they would send up some comforters since we had to sleep on the floor, but instead they sent the thinnest blankets they had. The next morning arrived and both guys were pretty exhausted due to not being able to sleep comfortably on the floor. I decided to call down again and see if anything changed. A young lady answered and I asked if there were any other rooms available to which she replied no. I then asked for a manager. A man got on the line and said his name was Greg. I asked if it was customary to treat their customers this horrific and he became very disgruntled. He said he wasn't the manager and couldn't do anything to help me. I asked again to speak with a manager. Finally a gentleman named Jonathan came on the line. I explained everything to him and he immediately apologized and said that there was a double queen becoming available and would reserve it for me. He made sure that the transition was smooth and kept in touch with me to make sure the rest of my stay was nice. He also send up a very nice tray of snacks for me and my guest. Out of all the employees there I had spoken with Jonathan was the only one who knows what customer service is all about! You definitely need more people like him working for you.

The Loyalty Ambassador called us 4 days prior to our stay and inquired about any additional commendations that we require. The room was nicely decorated.

The all you can eat Buffet is $22.00, a little steep, but this included a made to order Omletes, non-pork options (Turkey sausage/bacon) waffles, french toast or pancakes and....most importantly ALL DRINKS!! I ordered a chocolate milk and when my waitress asked me if I wanted it hot, cold, skim 2% or whole milk, I knew I made the right choice. You have to eat here and hopefully you get Toya, she is awesome.
