Great service and Kevin was are waiter and he was awsome

Nice place for a drink and a reasonable meal before the theatre. We had nachos, chicken, tacos, and tostadas (not especially a Mexican food place, that's just what we felt like having). Great atmosphere and good vibes.

Be careful when you go there. I've had a server swipe my card twice and pay someone else's bill after I left to go to a nearby theater. If it happened to me, it's likely happened before with others who are heading over to the theater district and won't notice they've been ripped off until much later.

Chicken bacon mac'n'chese was very good! Service was swift and beer selection was decent. Even though they state several places in the restaurant that they brew on site, they don't. A server told us the brewery is in Pittsburgh. Quality of beer was ok, not top notch

I should have taken a video but really didn t want to get anyone in trouble. All I will say is a question the hygiene and safe-serve training of the staff and management. We sat at the bar and a container of wilts, black celery was at the service station. Then one of the floor managers was serving drinks .. cut limes with tongs for use in garnish - right in the service station where staff place their serving trays .. gross . Too bad as the staff was friendly

Everything about this place was awesome. Great place to go before a show to kind of camp out. Host was so sweet and conversational. Even helped us with directions ! My server was great too. Food was pretty well prepared

A great easy spot to meet large groups of friends. The service is fast and the beer is a good. If you're looking for a good, relaxed, bar this is a great option. They also brew their own beer which is an added benefit.

They have a good selection of local beer this is also a great place to visit if you like to watch american sports like football and basketball.

The perfect place before a show in the Theater District. They have great house made beer, and if you join their mug club, you'll get a great amount for the price.

Service was excellent, the food was a phenomenon of deliciousness, price was right, and received 15% off with tickets to Blue man group. Highly recommended!

My only regret is that I couldn't try everything on the first visit. I don't know that I've ever had a burger that seemed to melt in my mouth, but there it was. The Bourbonzola is easily one of the best burgers I've ever had. We live almost an hour away and stopped in before seeing a show, but I could easily see making the trip just to eat here again. I should also add that given the location and quality, the prices are very reasonable.

Food was really good, beer was ok, nothing fantastic. Non alcoholic drinks were very good, as my wife had one of those. Atmosphere was good and so was the service.

It's a bar and it has a great location next to the theater. Stick to something simple and you'll be all set.

Don't waste your time or money. Visited for lunch while in the area on trip. Waited to be greeted by a server with an attitude who seemed inconvenienced by us throughout our visit. Food was lack luster. Mac and cheese was blah, nothing special. Fish tacos could have been good if they gave you more than two bites of fish per taco. Clam chowder was luke warm and had wayyyy to much oregano that ruined it. Should've just gone to one of the chains on either side.

Doesn t accept international ID s, only place in Boston we have had this be a problem :(

I had long been a hater of Rock Bottom (from my DC days and their refusal to sell Miller Lite and other light beers), until I experienced the Brewery Nachos. Damn those things are good! Will definitely go back.

Food and beer were both excellent; however, the service was horrendous. Burgers were undercooked, even after being sent back to the kitchen, and one of our meals was forgotten. The waitress only checked in when delivering the late meal.

Service was excellent. Food was mediocre. Pizza crust was hard to chew. Fish and chips was huge but nothing special.

First time here, will be my last time! Stopped in Saturday night with my co-worker. We sat at the bar and the bartender asked her if we were having food. She relied " no just drinks" he said " I can't sever your friend ,she's had enough tonight" WHAT! I don't drink and was completely sober! She tried to explain I was the designated driver, but he walked away! Ironically, my friend was completely trashed and he served her!
Of course the whole bar heard the interaction and had to comment. It was completely humiliating, uncalled for and insulting! As a former cocktail waitress myself, this bartender needs to be retrained in spotting intoxicated customers. I will never return!

Fab food , great beer and excellent service. We couldn't decide which beer to order ,so the server walks away only to reappear 5min later with a selection of ales for us to sample! Fair play to him

Terrible service. Terrible food. Small portions. After our food was served to us we couldn't find our waitress for an hour. We needed refills and a check. We had to ask the host to get her. The portions were extremely small and overpriced. We only went here because we saw a show before. Will never go again.

Really lrge place which can accommodate decent size groups. Typical pub grub. They brew their own beer which is pretty good as well.

This place is doubtless one of the coolest restaurants in the region. Anytime I come to this place I am highly satisfied. They hold their very high standard service and the highest level of food they give. You definitely will enjoy this this place. Very recommended.

Nachos were very good and huge! Burger was excellent, perfectly cooked , but fries were extremely salty. Our waitress, Yamile, was excellent. Just an average place, but had great service!

Terrible everything! We had a reservation. Waited 15 minutes for our drinks. Excuse. Had to change the keg. Waited 45 minutes for a kid's meal and app. Both cold, no apology, nothing. Ordered another drink. 10 minutes went by, excus ed ...had to change the keg. The same beer was ordered. That's crap!. After I threatened the bill be comped if our dinner didn't come soon, food can right away. Food was crappie, service sacked. Bathrooms filthy. Surprised the plave is still in business. Save time, money and sanity...go elsewhere!

It is our number one place to go for watching sports! They have absolutely delicious food (highly recommend Firecracker shrimps!!!) and a great variety of home-brewed bear. We have tried a couple of different bears and loved them. Can t wait to get back and try everything else they have!

Great food and decent prices for the location, but curt service and overdone chicken where a bit disappointing. Burger was also ordered medium well but came well.

Still can't be beat if your staying at the W across the street. Location is super convenient.

I'm not a microbrew guy but this restaurant has been very accommodating whenever I have a reservation. I always seem to be late but they have my table ready when I get there. I do make a point of calling if late.

The whole menu is great. The chicken Mac and cheese is amazing!

Good spot with lots of TVs, but when they get busy the service can fall off. I prefer sitting at the bar.

They have draft root beer, what else do you need? I am a big fan of cream soda & root beer but not always easy to fin in glass bottles let alone on draft.
This has all kinds of menu options for people. If beer is your thing then I guess you can't go wrong either. My friend is a big proponent of the sampler.
I know they had done a renovation in the past few years so now the bar is more in the middle w/ alot more tv's as well.
Don't forget about dessert though because they have some tasty treats for everyone to enjoy.

Very good pub food had the chicken Quesadillas, delicious very relaxed, casual atmosphere the waitstaff made you feel at home would check on you to make sure everything was okay.My friend had the chicken sandwich and he enjoyed it

Rock Bottom is definitely a staple of Emerson College, which is located just north of this store. Nicknamed RoBo, the restaurant/brewery chain offers pretty standard Americana food. Most reliable: a huge serving of nachos, the $3 (house) beer of the week, and a lot of friends to share it with.

If the kitchen is going to prepare an unseasoned, fried variation, instead of the blackened fish taco described on the menu, the waitress should come out and make sure that is ok with the customer before serving it.
My husband ordered a glass of sauvignon blanc, but the wine he received was really effervescent. When he told the server that it did not seem right, she just said you don t like it, I will take it off the check . When we got the check, the wine she had to adjust from our check was a muscato; had she asked the bartender if the wine he served was a sauvignon blanc, she would have realized her error and could have corrected it.
We have had great meals here before, so lunch today was disappointing.

Loved this place from the great drinks made at the bar to the food which was very good.And had the best server I've ever had.If you want great service ask for Gerardo,he was such a great server.Had to be at a show and he had us right on time.Will def be going back!

Please do not eat at this establishment. I visited the one in Downtown Boston Massachusetts. I used my debit card to pay my bill. I left the server a cash tip. The server also placed another tip on my debit card. When I called to get the funds issued back to me, I was told we will look into it and call you back. I would never get a call back. This went on for two weeks. The staff there then began asking me my name, and once I would give them my name, they would place me on hold, and never pick back up. What a joke. I had to call the corporate office, who then called the restaurant. Once this happen the general manager of the restaurant called me back. As I write this, the issue has still not been taken care of, lets see what happens. Just know, if you go in this establishment, and you have "KEVIN" as your server, watch your debit/credit cards, cause "KEVIN" will help himself to charging tips on your card...He is a thief.

Stopped there with my boyfriend before seeing a show at the Wilbur. The Service was great! We sat at the bar and the lady and gentlemen who took care of us were super nice but the food in my opinion was a little over priced and not the greatest quality. I got the veggie burger which was okay but the veggies (Brussel sprouts and broccoli) were cold and had no flavor. You could tell they were frozen veggies not fresh, and in that case at least season them to taste decent. But again, the service was great !

The average institution with delicious sandwiches and not tasty beer! Prices and service is also average.

Was told "32 minute wait", fine. 15 minutes after that "maybe 10 more" -- now we've waited so we stay. 1:15 of waiting and now I see we are still 5 deep so left. I understand they dont want to pay honest, intelligent staff and things get busy, but I've never seen such dead behind the eyes, effortless ignorance. I am so embarrassed I trusted a Rock Botttom hostess. Won't happen again.

Been here several times and always great. I house brewed beer is flavorful and staff is great!

This place is amazing! The carrot cake is expensive but well worth it! The sizes exceeded my expectations and the food left little taste buds dancing on my tongue

Says they close at 12pm but didnt serve us drinks at 11:30pm.

Stopped in around 10 pm on Saturday night with a group of 4. Place was moderately busy, but not hectic. Seated within a minute. We ordered boneless wings, enchilada, Mac n cheese and a burger. Food came out in a timely manner and our server did a great job bringing water out to us. The wings,Mac n cheese and enchiladas were tasty, however, ALL the sauces were runny with a "watered down" feel. May have been an off night for the chefs, unfortunately I won't be giving them a second chance.

Excellent service and atmosphere, with a variety of food (and beer!) on the menu. Definitely want to return to check out some of the other items.

This place served quality food for a reasonable price. Waiter was friendly. Wish i could come back here some day.
I've been to a few bars in the United States and the food is relatively cheap and the sheep are really benevolent. Go eat nachos!

Had a reservation for a party of 12. We arrived about 10 minutes late and our table still wasn't ready when we arrived. After we were seated our drink orders were placed right away, and it was about 15 minutes before we received our drinks, and it was another 10 before we were given the opportunity to order.

The menu looked pretty good, and I ended up ordering the Mac n Cheese with chicken and bacon, as did 3 other people in my party. When our food came, I was extremely disappointed. The macaroni wasn't cooked right, the cheese tasted fake. The dish wasn't hot like mac n cheese should be, it was barely warm. And guess what...no chicken in my chicken mac n cheese. No chicken in my friend's dishes either...and one member of my party didn't even get her meal, until we finally flagged down the waitress about 15 minutes later.

A couple other people in my party also said their food wasn't very good. With so many options in Boston, I would say just skip this place. Terrible service, and mediocre food.

Walked in and was seated at a table by the bar. The place was dead. Sat at table in direct view of a bartender. Sat there for 5 mins without any acknowledgement. Got up and walked around trying to get anyone to even acknowledge me. Gave up and left. Management is clearly doing a stellar job hiring and training.

Burger came out with hair in it and when the hair was pointed out, the waiter just took the food away and pulled the hair out of the burger and broght it back as if it wasnt an issue. When we complained again the burger was taken away but not taken off the check and finally came back wildly overcooked. Very dissatisfied

That stupid kid aka host had no damn clue... Last night, he made me wait for like 15 minutes while my takeout order has been sitting there, right under his nose, the whole time. I kept reminding him to check the status of my order and he was obviously just pretending to do that. And instead of apologizing for wasting my time, he was like "it's not my fault... Very rude employee. Truly rock-bottom customer service... Never again.

We walk in to the hostess and waiter arguing about "who's gonna get that table, no one has helped them." Not a good sign.

Next , we're seated at a dirty table and chairs. We nicely asked the hostess to clean the table (which she did) but she did so with a little attitude and didn't say a word.

Last, no one ever waits in us, so we got up and left. On a good note, we turned a group of 9 guys away (who were waiting at the door.) They spoke briefly to the hostess and decided to follow our lead.

Avoid this place.

Food and service was great. Manager handled a disruptive customer with positive approach and apologized for my inconvenience (occurred near my table), which was appreciated. I d come back again.

Pleasant atmosphere. Satisfying menu. Wait staff was on point. I recommend it for your typical American fair. I had a kolsch beer and the fish and chips, and they were both quite good. Pleasant surprise: I tasted the first cole slaw I have ever enjoyed. It was not as heavy with mayonnaise as most, and it had (spoiler alert!) strips of apple that were hidden in with the slaw. They made for a nice sweetness and a healthy crunch.

Standard brewery and restaurant. Nothing extraordinary. Good food. Good service.

My wife and I have eaten here twice now in the last month and a half before a show in the city. We have eaten here before in the past too. The last two times that we ate here, we were not impressed with the service and I was not impressed with my food. When we ate here a month and a half ago, they messed up my wife s order, but didn t send it back because the waiter was no where to be found. Tonight, she did like her mac & cheese, but my brother-in-law and his girlfriend both ordered a SIDE Caesar salad. The waiter asked if they both wanted to add chicken. She said no and he said yes. They brought her a side Caesar and him a full Caesar with chicken. We were not able to correct his order as again our waiter was no where to be found. When the bill came, she was charged for a full Caesar at $9.99 and he was also charged for a full Caesar with chicken though he order a side. I informed the waiter of this and he fixed the price of her salad, but informed us that my brother-in-law s salad only came in full because it had chicken. I told him that he ordered a side and that he had asked him if he wanted to add chicken to it. I also informed him that he should have made him aware that the side did not come with chicken and he would be getting a full salad and be changed for a full salad, as it was double to price. For these last times we ate at this restaurant, we were there for shows in the area. We didn t have time to wait for our waiter to check back in and correct our above issues, nor should we have to wait for a waiter to check in. The waiters never made it a point to check in once dropping the food off at the table. Our waters never were refilled and plates weren t cleared from the table. I understand that this is a busy area, especially when there are shows going on, but that doesn t excuse poor service. Needless to say, moving forward, my wife and I will no longer be dining at this restaurant.

Good beer. Nice atmosphere. Big screens on sports. A little slow on service.

This used to be our weekly after work spot because of the 25oz beers for a good price. However a few months ago they removed this from the menu, so now the largest size is 16oz...but at the same price the 25oz was. Now it's just another corporate overpriced pub, of which there are many better options in the area. Sad.

The waitress was great and everything came out in a timely manner. The prices are typical of a place like this. The food was decent; however, my husband wasn't impressed with the ribeye. He said he is used to a thick ribeye, so he was surprised by its thinness.

It's a challenge to find a white Stout.
And the Nitro at rock bottom is very nice.

I usually love this place but after being greeted by the rudest host I've ever met I doubt I'll ever be back.

Went to Boston and had dinner here. Food good however the service was as bad as it could get. As we went in we asked for a table and were allocatd a table that wasn't clean. When I asked to clean the table, the guy who walked us in gave me an attitude. During the meal, and before we were done, the waiteress brought us the check. We told her that we were not done yet and we were going for deserts so she took the bill back. At this stage we had not asked for the check yet. Of course, when the bill came we were not generous on our gratuity. I gave about $4.00 of gratuity only. However, when I received my bank statement tha tip charged to my credit card had been $14.00. In short, they took $10.00 more without my consentment. I was ROBBED. I contacted my credit card company, but I din't have the slip that shows the gratuity. Please remeber that in the U.S., they give you a printout of the bill and then you add the gratuity by hand. I only had the slip with the amount of the bill without the gratuity.
LESSON: In this restaurant service is very poor and you are ROBBED. You don't need to be mugged in the streets. You will be mugged in the restaurant itself. Be careful in trusting them your credit card and don't expect a good service.
