Doctors, Nurses and Staff were amazing, why we love this hospital.
We have been to this emergency room on 5 separate occasions being sent from the instacare or our primary physician and on every occasion have left feeling the same way: annoyed, frustrated, feeling like they don't care about you, they assume you're over reacting, nothing is wrong. Then we get a $3000 bill in the mail after literally having nothing done and being told to go home and watch it. You do the math on how much money we have spent in ER bills alone this year. On half of those occasions there was something wrong and they waved us away because we were composed and not screaming in pain or unconscious.
Lessons learned: don't always listen do your primary care physician or instacare to go to the ER, avoid this ER like the plague.
Side note- we went to the ER in Bountiful and had a great experience. Although we weren't crying or wailing in pain they still took us seriously and performed definitive tests and the emergency surgery that needed to happen. Oh and the bill was cheaper than our visit to this emergency room where they didn't do any tests or surgeries.
Their billing department needs some help. I got billed without them even going through my insurance. Didn't here back from them for since March.
I m really conflicted on leaving this review because for 90% of our visit to the emergency room, it was great and the nurses and doctors were good.
However, my wife has been experiencing excruciating head pain, numbness in extremities, pressure in the head, mental confusion and all around mental cognitive decline. A) they do not perform any sort of CT or MRI of her brain. She also has an inflammatory disease so again, I m no doctor, but shouldn t a scan of her brain be in order to check for inflammation of the brain?
Next, as she is desperately trying to tell each nurse who is coming in to get blood drawn that her head is pounding, she is in agony and needs help one of the nurses responds with - and I am not exaggerating here in any way - oh that s just the media sweetheart, don t worry about that WHAT! I am being as literal as I can when I say this.
They may have nice facilities, an empty emergency room, but this is pure negligence!
I went to the ER, with stomach pains, and my whit blood count was high. Did a CT scan and I told they did not find any thing and sent me home nausea medicine and a few pain medication but no Antibiotics which I thought was was weird because I believe with my white count high that is a sign of infection. But overall experience was very good, I only go to Ogden Regional because all the staff makes you feel comfortable, and very professional.
The staff in the Women s Center were amazing! They listened to my desires and helped me when I needed it.
I had an infection that got bad enough I lost consciousness, went to Ogden regional ER and they ran a bunch of tests and scans only to tell me I was healthy and nothing was wrong with me. They also said I needed to follow up with my regular doctor.
I felt like the ER dr was trying to rush me out. She also was not listening to any of the symptoms and history I was telling her. Several times she asked questions that I had already answered. I would have been better off using google to figure out what was wrong. Hopefully I never find myself at that hospital again!
The rest of the staff was very kind and helpful. The DR would get a 0 star rating if I could give a review for her.
They got me in early as well as the nurses were really awesome. The front desk people were a little intimidating. Very nice though
This is the worst experience I have ever had in an ER. The treatment of the nurse and Dr was awful. My Dr s office called to explain to the nurse what my circumstances were and she wasn t interested in hearing it. I will never use this hospital again and I will encourage my friends to do the same.
Overall the experience was very good except for one incident. Was told and confirmed on many occasions that we had met our FULL deductible and the surgery would cost us ZERO dollars ....the Hospital ended up billing me for over 200.00 for Physical Therapy I never authorized or participated in...NOT PAYING IT!!
Went in for a common surgery. All went well. The check in was very easy, done on a tablet. I had already pre-registered online. I was taken to pre-op very soon after arriving. The nursing staff, anesthesia, and surgeon were all very good to address my concerns. Very pleased with my experience.
I have only had my bone density tests done at Ogden Regional and Cindy has done the last two. Cindy is a pure delight. She is knowledgeable and friendly and very informative,
I spent the night. During the night shift I could not get anyone to come to my room! It didn t matter what it was for. Every time I called the nurses station it took 30-45 minutes before anyone came. Even at 5:00 AM
Everyone was friendly and helpful went I was there to have some tests. They did their best to make sure the tests were done promptly and professionally. They also made me feel at ease and comfortable. A no worry visit.
Registration area was clean, employees very professional. Pulmonary Department employee, Alex, was helpful about the over night study machine. Thanks for asking.
Our experience at the preop appointment was terrible. The clinic was too busy and the nurse leader when to the preop area to get another nurse. She acted put out, extremely ornery.
The day of surgery and our experience on the floor was good with the exception of the food. Every time food was ordered it took at least two hours to arrive and was always cold.
Great knowledgeable doctors and staff. Had a quick visit here and was on my way. Thanks!
Staff was senserly friendly and helpful. Check in was easy and they assisted with the questions I had. Services were provided promptly and professionally.
RECONCILE ALL BILLS received with your insurance paperwork from this company!!!
This relates to the Ogden Regional Medical Center (aka Mountain Star, aka NPAS, Inc). Specifically their billing practices and negotiated rates with insurance companies.
This company billed our insurance and our insurance processed (in-network). Being it is in-network, there are negotiated rates between the two companies. The processed paperwork from the insurance came back with the typical in-network footnote that specifically states Provider negotiated discount. You are not responsible for this amount. Mountain Star, however, expected us to cover the negotiated amount.
I paid the amount the insurance stated I was responsible for and discussed this concern with NPAS, Inc (Ogden Regional s billing center) four different times. I also spoke with the insurance company who stated the hospital was not allowed to bill us for negotiated discounts.
The negotiated amount we have been arguing over isn t big enough to get legal help fighting so we paid. Our circumstance could be a one off. I just hope others will double check. If there is a pattern emerge, legal options could be explored.
They treated me as well as I've ever been treated. I would highly recommend this hospital to everybody. I felt like I was the most important patient which made me feel very good. The staff was nothing but smiles and friendly.
Our whole experience was awesome. The nursing staff in the labor and maternity ward were AMAZING and so helpful through the whole experience.
Everyone was helpful & made sure I was comfortable.
The staff was very good. Everyone was helpful with my needs. The building was very clean and nice.
I was treated with respect and courtesy by everyone. I noticed a lot of checking and rechecking of scheduled events and identity to proof treatment protocols. Very professional.
Very nice staff. The doctor and the nurse were very nice and helpful.
Unfortunately I have had to go to the emergency several times in the past and I can say Ogden Regional Center was one of the nicest ,professional hospitals I have been to.
I had to spend a total of 6 days in the hospital having my baby on the 5th I received great treatment from the staff and they were quick to resolve any problems!
The nurses and staff were great! They were very attentive. They also followed my wish to breastfeed. They were very knowledgeable for this fist time Mama. They are currently remodeling some of the rooms on the c-section floor. So, it made it interesting to walk around. The remodeling caused some issues with the temperature control in our room.
I came to get a Covid 19 test before having a procedure done. The tech's were ready to help me when I arrived and everything went smooth. I was only there about 15 minutes... thank you.
Everything was excellent until the end of my procedure. I was told it was an in and out procedure and was told I would be going home in the next hour. 5 hours later I ended up leaving. The nurse wouldn t come in my room at all. I saw her one time in the 5 hours I was there. She did send a CNA that was wonderful but the nurse was terrible. She was no help at all.
From check in to the completion of my procedure was less than 30 minutes. The staff was friendly and efficient.
Quick checkin, friendly professional staff. Ogden Regional is a clean hospital.
The nurses were very supportive and kind. It was a very comfortable experience
Went here in June of 2020 for a 90 minute visit to the ER due to an ear problem. About 30-40 of those minutes was waiting for a doctor or nurse. I gave them my insurance information and was cleared to go afterwards.
A few months later in September they send me a bill again telling me I still owed them $450. I contacted my insurance company and got it cleared up quickly and was told that my bill has been paid and I owed them nothing further. They gave me a confirmation # and confirmed that our business has concluded. A few more months after that they again send me the same bill for $450 telling me I had until December to pay it. They didn't acknowledge the prior payment and even the useless confirmation # I had didn't tell them anything. Insurance company tells me it's not their problem and they already paid their part of the bill.
:edit:
It took a lot of phone calls and even talking to their PR Director but the bill was eventually corrected and my insurance did actually cover it. I'm updating my review as a result.
I was so impressed with all those who were there!! I got excellent care and I will tell those I know to go there for their needs!! I was in and out with results that helped ease my mind and with advise of what I need to do going forward!! I will deinately go there again if needs be!!
Their check in process is SO fast - hardly any wait time at all. Friendly service and good customer service.
I went in to have a c section. This was my first time at this hospital so I was a little on the fence just because it was different so it s a little scary. Everyone seemed nice and pleasant. The procedure went smoothly everyone that helped me throughout the procedure was so helpful and on top of things, they made sure I was as comfortable as possible. I loved how caring the dr that gave me my epidural was. It wasn t until I was in my room recovering that I felt like the nurses weren t very caring. In my previous experiences at other hospitals the nurses help you throughout the recovery. They help you get up and are very hands on. Which is extremely helpful after this type of procedure. At this hospital I felt like I had to be the one to keep track of when to take my pain medicine because the nurses would not come in on time. Every time you would call one in to the room it would take them at least 20 mins to go in. They would tell you what they wanted you to do, get up and walk, go to the bathroom etc but they would not help you with it. There were 2 nights out of the 3 that I was there were they were extremely loud. My room was just down the hall from the nurse station and you could hear them talking and laughing very loudly at like 5am. You could even hear them swearing in their little stories they were telling! I was supposed to stay 4 days but I could not take it anymore! What pushed me over the edge was when I had to go to the bathroom and before I went in i called for more pads because i was completely out, they said they would send my nurse so I went in to the restroom. After 30 minutes and 3 calls to them they finally came in to bring them!! I feel the nurses need to be better trained at time management. You guys made what should have been a happy, positive experience a very stressful one! I would not recommend this hospital.
Other than Heidi and my doctor Robin it was a horrible experience and I will never go there again
1st time there, was sent there by ambulance and was in room and being taken care of right off the bat, Doc/Nurse were professional, friendly and made the whole experience less stressful.
Every step of every process while receiving care from them, something went wrong. This was back in March, and I felt my baby received subpar care, we waited for hours to be seen while her oxygen tanked each time. The peds unit was an absolute joke. The nurses that floated to be with us overnight were just awful and rude. To this day, 8 months later, they have still not billed the insurance correctly and every time I have to call the billing department, it is a pain with no resolution. I am so mad at myself for not going to Intermountain.
Friendly staff and very short wait time for procedure.
I have tried 17 calls to schedule a pre op apt
Left many voicemail
It says you will return my calls as soon as possible? Please define as soon as possible
It has been 2 weeks !!!
To the direct of this facility
I have no option here !!
They did a great job and were very attentive and aware of my needs before my surgery.
This was my second knee replacement surgery at Ogden Regional Medical Center in less than a year. I received excellent care from not only the doctor, nurses, and aids, but also from the staff who cleaned my room and from those who assisted with my care. My questions and concerns were addressed and I was truly pleased with my care.
I had very mixed emotions while being admitted to Ogden Regional emergency room then to a different room for 3 days... most of nurse forgot about me many times, whether it was help to the bathroom (Waiting more than 30 mins) , getting water (I requested 4 times in one afternoon), or getting answers for any of my questions. Day nurses we re definitely nicer/attentive than the night ones. But I definitely see how Covid could affect what s going on lately.
But I do have to say when i had my son in February the labor & delivery experience was absolutely perfect. I was treated with so much respect and care. <3
This organized, clean, and friendly facility made the process easy for my foot surgery. They were constantly checking on me and making sure I was OK. They had comfortable waiting areas. The paperwork was explained to me and they even had people to show me around the hospital so I didn't get lost.
Friendly, efficient staff. Lab receptionist is very nice.
Overall a good experience. One thing that could have improved was the timeliness of delivering medicine. A couple of times, delivery of pain medication was 45-60 minutes late.
The care that I received for my broken wrist was great.
$28,000 A month for drug rehab. No state or county funding, no Medicaid acceptance, no scholarship type programs. I asked the woman to read me the hospital s mission statement, I guess my daughter doesn t deserve help. They are a for-profit institution. I m a United States Navy veteran, with 35 years of medical experience under my belt, I took the medical oath; this hospital does not follow that oath.
My latest visit to Ogden Regional Medical Center was amazing. The nursing staff were knowledgable, Professional, tenacious, warm and friendly. They worked hard to make sure I had my regular meds promptly , along with medicines prescribed by the surgeon. They explained themselves in great detail when changing things or issuing new things.
The nurses during the day shift and night shift made sure I was comfortable. They were always there when I needed help to the bathroom etc.
They were so very patient with me, during times I felt lonely. I am a chatterbox and like company but they never made me feel like I was bothering them. I will always be humbly grateful for the kindness and professionalism shown me. I FELT SO VERY SAFE AND CARED FOR, which is phenomenal for me. I have trust issues so this made a monumental impact on me.
The room didn't have everything needed when I woke up , so the nurses went to work promptly making adjustments and making sure it was up to snuff , so to speak.
When it was time for food they helped me so much as my head was a little woozy. The one day nurse waa amazing. She encouraged me to eat even when I said I wasn't hungry. It helped to get something small into my stomach. The nurse knew what was better for me. I trusted her a great deal. All the nurses assigned to me were incredible.
I received such good care at Ogden Regional and would recommend it to anyone having to have surgery performed. The doctors and nurses were attentive and kept me well informed on what was going to happen and what to expect.
I was given high quality, attentive care and am very pleased by my recent out-patient surgery experience at Ogden Regional. The one suggestion - it would've been nice to know ahead of time what my financial responsibility would be.
I was very happy with my visit to Ogden Regional Medical Center. The nurses were very caring as were the doctors. I felt like they were actually LISTENING to me. Great hospital!
Dr Fisher is great, so knowledgeable and explains things do well. Natalie and Alex were wonderful to work with.
It was Great. Everything, from the moment i walked in to the minute i got kicked out. I Love it and all the people. Thank You Much!
Doctor wasn't listening to anything I said the only reason he did a xray on wrist because my husband ask him to he got mad really rude so we didn't dare ask for one to be done on my back I couldn't believe how bad he was my mom has been a nurse for 27 years she couldn't believe the way that doctors bedside manners were
From the time of admission to discharge the flow of communication between physicians and nurses was lacking. Especially communication coming to me, I often waited close to 24 hours before hearing from the hospitalist on test results. The whiteboard in the room was rarely changed to plans for day who my nurse was what my diet was. I got plenty of apologies and when I really let my frustrations known it got a modicum better. I will change back to IHC as soon as I possibly can if I live that long.
People were very nice and respectful. I was in and out in less than 45 minutes.
Most of the visit was friendly, courteous, and professional. I got into prep room very quickly, but they had an emergency to the actual reason I was there was delayed by 1 hour. Acceptable being a hospital. But when procedure was all done, again I was taken care off promptly by the nurses. Had to wait for the x-ray people for 45 minutes. Not happy. By this time we were 2.5 hours past the time they originally said I would be finished. Xray team said they had emergency they had to tend to. Trying to be understanding, but sometimes feel hospital and or doctor/ nurses do not remember (hopefully because they are busy and not just chatting) we have busy lives and have things to get done during the day.
I have used Ogden Regional now for several years for my mammogram, and they have also been professional, quick and friendly.
Best hospital!! The staff was super nice. The have saved my life in the ER and medical floor more then once. In very great full to this hospital. I love the staff...
I had a hip replaced, and everyone involved with me, was top notch. They were all very knowledgeable, and very quick to come too my aid as I needed. Everything went great, and the hospital staff were all fantastic too work with. I highly recommend them, and Thanks again for making my stay a great one..
This place is amazing! (Maternity) The rooms alone are "homie," large, clean private and the room u check into is the same room u deliver in and stay in until u leave (unless everyone gives birth at the same time lol). Then there is the nurses and the staff: they top the cake!!! Friendly, patient, kind, quick responses, knowledgeable, honest, caring, listen with out cutting u off. I love Ogden regional!!!!
Labor and Delivery at this hospital is the worse the nurses were very rude to my family also one of the nurses garbed one of the family members by her arm when she was coming into the room to see her great grand daughter they nurse also did not talk to me about what she was doing with my medication she would just turn up the machine with out saying any thing then when asked what she was doing her response was are you talking to me. This was the worse place to have a baby it should be a happy time butt it was horrible for me and my family.I gave them one star because i could not post with out marking a stupid star they get a zero from me.
Prompt testing, efficient check-in, available assistance, personable attention to patient comfort and concerns, helpful advice. Upmost respect was shown and my questions were answered.
Registration is fast and easy. Everyone is professional and friendly.
I was scheduled for a sleep study over two weeks ago. I told the staff three times that I worked swings but when I got there the tech knew nothing about it so they sent me home and rescheduled me for a Saturday. When confirming my appointment the secretary told me to be there at 8pm no one was there to check us in etc. I had to go all the way to the ER to register and sat around for an hour before someone showed up at the sleep lab.
Excellent staff allowed me to get on the table for my MRI & pit on an eye mask before wheeling me in...so no problems with being claustrophobic
ORMC shows compassion while giving comprehensive care. They may be a smaller hospital but their service is huge! Thank you!
I spent a very anxious week prior to taking the sleep study, but the experience was better than expected. The technician, Adam, was kind, helpful and attentive. I appreciated that very much.
Enjoyed the happy professional staff. We re very understanding and efficient.
Appointment was for 9:45 am, received a call at 9:30 and said Dr. got a little behind at other hospital so our appointment was pushed back until 10:15, which I understand things happens. We arrived at the hospital and we had no problem getting into a room, with questions answered and IV put in we waited. Around 10:30 we were told the Dr is way behind and it looks like it will be 12:00 before the surgery. Finally at 1:00 pm they are ready for my husband. Once again, I understand things happens, but I own a small business and made prior arrangements for my business to be covered until 3:00 pm, which if the original appointment was kept, there wouldn't of been any problems. At 2:30 I had to leave to go to work. I was promised that the Dr and or nurse would give me a call as soon as he gets into recovery which should of been in the next 20-30 minutes. 4:00 pm rolls around and I still have not heard from anyone. Why did I have to call and ask about him when I was promised they would call, is this hospital too busy. Luckily everything was fine but my question is why is it OK for the Hospitals and Doctors to "Overbook" and have the patient and their others sit around and wait for them. We also have responsibilities and I can't be 3 hours late or else I wouldn't have a business. I don't understand why hospitals and doctors think that our time is not valuable. Do we get to charge you the hospital or doctors for our time?
Most incompetent mental health facility in the state. Luckily I didn't die from them taking me off of my prescribed antidepressant which I require twice a day. Main doctor kept a constant attitude and seemed to have short term memory loss or he just genuinely did not care. Wouldn't refer my worst enemy here.
Staff are very kind and the procedures went well. I am feeling world's better.
I Could not have asked for better care for my Mother. The most Competent and friendly nursing staff. Dr. Grunander is the best. Everyone we came into contact with were knowledgeable and compassionate. All around top notch medical facility.
Dr. Fisher and the crew in the Cancer area are FANTASTIC. The area is the VERY BEST PART of Ogden Regional.
Staff was kind and caring from the front door. The ultrasound tech was awesome and made me feel comfortable.
I've gone to Ogden Regional before to get steroid infusions. The gals at the infusion center are great, it's everything else.
I have MS, so I have to get yearly MRI's and bloodwork done. I got an MRI done in November. I told the staff I needed it compared to a previous MRI. Here it is 2 months later. My MRI still hasn't been compared, no only that but my MS clinic can't reach the people from the radiology department. They've called more than 20 times and can't reach anyone. It's vital for my health that I get those MRI's compared. It's the only way we know what next step to take. My clinic also sent in a bloodwork order back in November when they sent in my MRI order. They couldn't find the order. I called 3 days in a row at the beginning of January, after talking to my clinic and them saying they sent it in. I go in today( on a Saturday before 12:00) telling emergency that I have an order and it needs to be filled but it's in an email. They call the necessary people and get told that they can't take it off my email due to HIPPA laws.. I've emailed them to a nurse before so I know it's not. Needless to say I'm not happy with Ogden regional and will not be recommending them to anyone. This is ridiculous, and no one should ever be treated like this when the necessary steps are being taken and it's important for your health that these be taken care of in a timely manner.
Staff member at the front helped us find our way. Parking was easy to find and place was professional and clean
Many people get services free. I am actually working and paying my way. The gate keepers here kept me from a diagnostic test for my heart because I didn t have anyone to borrow money from to provide a down payment for the test. Good thing there are other options in our town. Reward the freeloaders and punish actual tax payers.
Update: Sent an email explaining this review. Not surprised I didn t get a reply.
If I could give negative stars I would! I had emergency spinal surgery at Ogden regional and the only good thing that happened was the surgeon, but it makes sense because they called him in from mckay-dee hospital. After surgery the nurses were terrible, I am diabetic and the nurses would check my blood sugars and they were dangerously high. The nurses would go to get insulin to correct the blood sugars and wouldn't return return for hours. So I had my wife give me my insulin pump so I could get control of my blood sugar so I wouldn't feel so sick. The nurse got mad at me because it was their job to take care of my diabetes. So I lied and said I wouldn't do it any more, but I did. The same nurse came back for a I told you so moment because my blood sugars were magically better. Then since I had a super invasive spinal surgery I didn't have full use of my legs and it hurt my back to lay down. I need assistance to get out of bed and so I asked the nurse if I could get help into a chair so she got me rolled on to my side which was killing me. Then she said she would need help to get me out of bed which was fine with me. After laying in agony for 45 mins I told my wife to help me so we got into the chair. A couple hours later the nurse showed up with help then continued to yell at me because that was her job. Also they never wrote down when they gave me medication like pain killers. The first day I was extremely medicated so I had to start keeping track of when they would drug me to keep them from over drugging me. Also the doctor would order tests to be done and the nurses would do the wrong tests. Also when I was discharged they said that I would get all these orders so I wouldn't die, then they rushed me out of the hospital and left me at the entrance with a walker. Not having feeling in my legs I was high risk of falling and hurting myself more so I struggled to stand while my wife went and got the car. Then they never put in the orders so we had to fight with doctors for weeks just to get the help I need. I could keep going cause the follow-up appointments have been just as terrible. I would avoid this hospital at all costs
All in all a good experience. The nurses and staff were friendly, attentive and professional. Everyone kept me as comfortable as possible.
Just one complaint. It took 4 hours from the time the doctor and nurses said I could be released to actually get released. The only explanation I got was it took that long for the hospital to do the paper work. If not for the prescriptions I needed I would have just walked out.
I will not hesitate to go back, if I need to.
I arrived on time. There was a problem with my appointment. It had been cancelled. I live 80 miles away and left my home at 4:30 am. My appointment was for 6:00 am. It took them over an hour to figure it out. I finally reached outpatient surgery and the procedure began. The medical staff were very nice and the procedure was quick. The delay made it a very long day. Your medical staff did a great job fixing the problem.
Going to the hospital for surgery is never a really fun event, but all things considered I think Ogden Regional did a great job. The nurses were helpful. My only complaint was that food service was very slow - it took about an hour to get anything you ordered.
I have become a convert to this medical group. Traditionally I have used IHC for my health care needs with good results however, a recent condition directed me to Ogden Regional medical. I have found that the people there make a huge deference compared to other institutions. They are professional, carrying, friendly and helpful. If given a choice I won't go anywhere else.
So clean, roomy, convenient. Staff, drs, nurses, everyone of all departments were absolutely amazing!
