I love this hospital. Every single time I've been here, everyone has been so nice and sincere. I just had a spinal tap done and asked my nurse if I was able to bring head phones in. Not only did this nurse ask multiple other people, but I only asked that one time and they took care of the rest, and I was able to use them during the procedure. I loved that they wanted to help me find out and completely took care of it. I was not forgotten. I love this place!!!

I am here for testing. Upon checking in, I find there are several people waiting, with only two staff members to complete registrations. The woman at the desk says I will have to wait as they don't have more staff. When I I ask her to change my rating on my check-in experience, she tells me I would have to check in again. Unbelievable! Fail.
I had a great experience giving birth at Ogden Regional. My nurses were all very friendly and knowledgeable and helped me feel comfortable during and after my birthing process. My Dr (Dr. Smithing) was awesome and even came to check on me the morning we went home. If I have any more babies, I will definitely be going back to Ogden Regional.
Billing department is awful, unhelpful and very rude. I was pretty much refused any assistance and spoken to like a child. I was cut off whenever I asked a question, I was told to contact someone else regarding a bill OGDEN REGIONAL sent me. I've never been treated so poorly by a customer service person.
Ogden Regional helped me very much during a very scary time. I was feeling the worst I've felt and ended up in there ER. For starters there wait time was way less than other places. But the nurses are SO kind! You can tell they love there job. The doctors were stern but kind also!. Any staff I came across was very respectful. And will return if needed.
Most of the staff is very friendly. Nurses could have been a little more compassionate. What I was really impressed by was how clean everything was and how hard the housekeepers were working. I know how unappreciated the housekeeping department is at almost every hospital and it's sad because they work the hardest! The floors were spotless and mopped well, and the carpets were noticeably vacuumed! One of the cleanest hospitals I've ever seen!!
Billing department is AWFUL. Sent us to collections with NO NOTICE before hand. NO reason to send us to collections as we were making monthly payments on the bill we had. We called not even 2-3 weeks ago to see what was left and were told that we had a low amount left to pay. Now we are getting told that it s $900 over what we were quoted and now it has gone to collections. Thanks a lot.
I am here from out of town. I staied the weekend with a family member in the ICU tne nursing staff have done a great job. On the other hand. Earlt Sat was the last time I saw any cleaning staff only cleaning rooms the public bathrooms have not been cleaned all weekend . some bathrooms are out of toilet paper and thwe waiting rooms garbages are overflowing. I believe this to be unacceptable. To top it off the cafeteria closes at 1 the Subway closes at 3 on Sat so good luck finging what you need on the weekend. Glad i don't plan on being back any time soon
My partner went into the ER this morning at 0900 for abdominal bleeding. The ER nurses were nice but after being admitted the quality of care went down significantly. He was given an endoscopy at appx. 1330 but did not get any water until 2130. I was on the phone with him and he had been asking for water for hours (this should be standard procedure). He was not given anything for his stomach pain or to sleep until 2209. From the time he was admitted until 2130 his IV machine was continuously malfunctioning and making a very loud beeping noise, this would go on for anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes without anyone coming to check or turn it off.
My care while there was excellent. Nurses station for us across from their desk was a little noise at night. But my health care was excellent and all who were involved with my recovery efforts were very caring and professional. Thanks Ogden Regional Health Care Team. Sandra Hislop
Emergency dept..No passion for the people. Glad she didnt go to hospital by herself. Had to ask for a blanket or sheet for patient. Her bllod pressure was high. You know they have to wait til a patients blood pressure goes down before they discharge. They just discharged her. You have to have love and passion to be in the medical field.
I had a $750.00 bill that I made payment arrangements. I have made every monthly payment. But because I made a payment early they counted that as an extra payment and then sent it to collections stating I missed a monthly payment. When in fact in 4 months I made 4 payments, but because 1 was early they don't count that as the regular monthly payment just an extra payment for that month. I don't care if I'm dying, I will never go to that hospital again!
On 6/12 I received a call from Allen Rigby at Ogden Regional. He was very nice and agreed I had made every payment when I was suppose to. He said he would take my account out of collections asap. And he did just that. I would like to thank you again Allen and appreciate what you have done.
After several hours of excruciating pain, I decided to come to the ER. I was immediately taken to a room and seen by a provider. My pain was well managed, I was kept informed about results and tests, and my nurses were phenomenal. Thank you Ogden Regional for helping me feel better!
I went to emergency with pain in my right side. They did a CT with the dye going through my veins. They didn't find anything and sent me home. Well , when you do a CT scan with dye you are suppose to find a vein above my waist. They put the dye in my ankle vein so needless to say I ended up in the emergency room (went to Mc kay Dee this time) with kidney stones. If Ogden Regional would have done my test right I wouldn't have had to go through so much pain. I would have gotten the pills to help pass them. Also, that was a waste of money for the CT scan they did. That's not the only thing I had problems with either, but I won't bore you with more.
I waa in a car accident in November 2017 and was taken to this hospital. They did an X-ray and told me I was fine no broken ribs or anything else and sent me home. I got home and layed down to wait for my boyfriend to come over who happens to be a fireman/ paramedic and when he got there he knew something was wrong. He rushed me up tho the U of U hospital because I have an ultra rare blood disorder and my doctor was at that hospital. I was rushed into the back and right into surgery. I had a ruptured spleen and lacarated liver. I had almost 4 liters of blood in my abdomen. I was in the hospital for 5 day's. I don't remember much from being in the hospital. It wasn't until I had my staples removed I was told I had broken ribs. This hospital did not do their job and it almost cost me my life. I will never go there for any reason. The did an X-ray and still didn't see the broken ribs. Not a place I would trust to even treat a common cold.
After I came out of surgery I was extremely hungry but hurting at the same time..my sister and I asked and asked over and over again if I could get food and pain medication..it took a few hours for me to receive any help..I entered the hospital on the 27th..I was supposed to stay till 29th..I chose to get outta there as fast as possible because I just couldn't get any of the nurses to listen..I ended up leaving the 28th. Just do not understand the treatment I received. Maybe it's because I was on Medicaid for insurance I don't know..I just feel I should have been treated with more respect. Very upsetting!!
I had a laceration on my hand as the result of a glass breaking while doing the dishes. I went to the ER and got Excellent treatment from my team. From the Dr. on down the line. I received 5 stitches from the very skilled and personable Nurse Practitioner Ashley Hutchison. All around the experience was a pleasant one considering the circumstance. I call Ogden Regional ER a wonderful place to receive great Care. Thanks to all of you.....
This is the absolute WORST hospital I have ever experienced!!!! My husbands grandfather was admitted today and we waited over 8 hours to see a doctor!!!!!! When we finally saw him the doctor was very upset with his staff. The nurses have done NOTHING!!!!! I would NOT TRUST MY LIFE WITH THESE PEOPLE! Drive an extra 30 minutes to actually get the care you deserve because these people are definitely NOT it!!
The front desk personnel and nursing staff were very friendly and the fireplace was very inviting and beautiful, however after 6 pm or so everything closes down. While waiting in the waiting room for my wife's procedure to be done I witnessed 3 hospital employees walk into the waiting room and raid what ever snacks were left in the bins along with taking magazines left on the tables. The last employee was a little upset that nothing was left for her!! I was very surprised by their blatant disregard of others that were in the room waiting for their loved ones. I went to get some coffee out of the containers that were provided to only find out they were empty too..... Damn employees! SMH. So I walked down the hall to a coffee shop I remembered seeing when we walked into the hospital and of all the luck, they were closed! I guess I expected better!
Never felt more comfortable and cared for then this recent visit for out-patient surgery. The entire process was quick and easy, and the entire staff from start to finish had my health and well-being in mind. Thanks Ogden Regional.
All the staff was extremely friendly, helpful and professional before and after my surgery. Made me feel comfortable emotionally and physically. A great team at Ogden Regional!!
I have had to stay at least 3 nights for an emergency surgery and an overnight for covid pneumonia on 2 separate occasions over the past year. This isn't the brand newest place but it is always spotlessly clean and nice. The staff including the admitting, nursing, Drs, EVERYONE there is always Top Notch. I will always choose this hospital when I need the care.
I went into the hospital at the beginning of this year and was there for five nights of hell. I will never come here again, even if my life depended on it. Nurses were lazy, and one yelled at me for being out too long even thought she told us we didn t have A time limit. I spent nights wanting to leave but the doctors didn t okay it, so I touched it out until I was released. I will never come here again.
I went in for a surgery and everything went so smoothly. The check in was quick and Laura was friendly and helpful. Jodi at Same Day Surgery was very pleasant. My nurse before and after the surgery we very attentive when I needed them and made me feel comfortable. The doctors explained everything very well and all my questions were answered. For being nervous about a surgery, everyone I encountered along the way put me at ease and made a scary thing for me, not so scary. Thank you everyone at Ogden Regional. You are the best.
Dr. Parr and Dr. Ashley Korchy both were extremely professional and efficient in my follow up appointment. They were also both kind and caring in how they handled me during this difficult time. Also, the Ultra Sound nurse was very thorough and warm as well. The overall visit was very good and I would recommend this hospital and it's care takers to my friends and family.
I was left with some confusion. I went in to see why I was shrinking at such a fast pace to me anyway, I took a dexa? test. The one taking it said it looked like I has scoliosis in my lower back and she showed me the curvature but the one who called me with results didn't say anything about that, even when I asked (she was just reading results). She said to "take calcium supplement) I believe was what I was told. If they had looked at their records they would have seen that I already do. Just wish someone in the know would have explained the results to me. My primary doctor didn't know.
I usually don't get great care when I come here but today was way different. My son cut his knee open and the love and care my child and myself got today was great so thank you nurse Celese and dr Hawking.
I received excellent care during my recent visit. The staff were all very competent and friendly. Many seemed to go the extra mile to make sure I was comfortable while awaiting surgery. Thanks to all involved.
If you need care in a hurry, or don t have all day to wait for a scheduled appointment, go elsewhere. They don t respect your time, waits even for schedules appointments and procedures take forever.
Nurse got angry with me after I received my discharge papers and she took my IV out because the moment I stood up, I got extremely nauseous and started throwing up. In between vomiting, I asked if she could get me a Zofran to control the nausea. "The doctor JUST talked to you and you said you weren't nauseous!" As I continued vomiting into the sink in the room (she never offered to get me a bucket or bag), she stormed off. I threw up for 10 minutes. After waiting over 5 hours to have a drink of water and never being offered water after it was determined I didn't need surgery, I left out of desperation of thirst and exhaustion. I made it to the main exit and I collapsed and blacked out. The same nurse and apparently a friend of the other nurse, were shaking me roughly and saying, "Are you there? Hello?!" I finally came to and they lifted me into a wheelchair. I was sobbing and my knee and head were in severe pain. The nurse said, "I went to get you a Zofran but you left before I got back!" In a really mean and short-tempered voice. I sat back on the hospital bed, still sobbing. She turned her back and typed furiously for around 10 minutes without saying a single word to me. She left the room. I sat there on the bed. A different nurse came in about 5 minutes later and started pushing into my scraped and bruised knuckle going, "Does it feel broken?" Then she kept her annoyed attitude and said, "Well the doctor needs to come back in and give you stitches on your head." She left. The doctor came in 20 minutes later. He asked, "Did the nurses clean up your knee, knuckles, or forehead? Did they sanitize it or bandage it?" I said no and even the doctor was surprised. He said he would go ahead and do it. My friend who showed up to take me home asked the doctor why no one would give me water since I probably passed out from dehydration. The doctor didn't have a reason why other than I was nauseous and he was reminded that I wasn't offered water even before that. I hobbled out of the ER after the doctor glued the gash on my forehead. The male phlebotomist who was training to find a vein had a HORRIBLE attitude, complaining that he was tired and wanting to go home. He blew my vein on my left arm. The nurse who watched him found a vein in my right arm and stuck me once after he multiple attempts. I will never go back to this hospital at the complete and utter contempt they had for me in my most vulnerable state. Disgusting. If you have no compassion, get a new career.
My husband has been to Ogden Regional twice in a two month period. Both times have been a disaster! My step daughter posted this on Facebook and I totally agree with everything she wrote. Getting pretty livid and disgusted with the way Ogden Regional handles their inpatients! This is the second time in 2 months my dad has been there and has been forgotten about, mis-scheduled, left starving all day for no reason, etc. He sat ALL DAY yesterday, NPO, just to get an ultrasound done. After 8 hours of harassing nurses and asking for updates the nurse comes in to say that radiology scheduled him for today by mistake. Then today he finally had the ultrasound at 8 a.m and not ONE freaking physician has been by to see him to give him the damn results. He has no idea what's going on. The nurses say they can't call a hospitalist to come talk to him unless it's an emergency!?! Are you freaking kidding me!
The quality of care and the concern of the staff are all very good. If they hadn't charged me for six doses of radioactive iodine that my wife only had one dose of ($36,000) I would sing their praises. I have 30,000 reasons to be unhappy with them, unfortunately. Good people, good care and questionable billing. I priced radioactive iodine at McKay Dee and the University of Utah Medical Center and if the billing had been one sixth of what it was, divided by the 150 millicuries, you would have been in the middle of the local cost range. I was told by one of your employees that they charged us six times but then the company decided to cover up their mistake instead of owning it. I wonder what their ethics policy would say about that.
Came to the ER for eye problem. The waiting room is a mess. The staff is very nice. The wait time to see a doctor was horrible Checked in 10 min. Waited to see a provider for severe eye pain 1 hour 30 min. Why is it Such a long time to see a provider. Wish they had more providers to midigate incoming patient numbers.
Worst customer service I ve ever had. I jus hope everyone gets their bill right the first time. Because they contracted the billing out so getting them to communicate with our insurance was horrible. I called several times to each both insurance and ogden regional and both told me to have the other one call them, neither would. Got transferred to voicemails and never received call backs and also got disconnected mysteriously with no call back. I will avoid ogden regional as much as possible.
Ru/CNA and Bradley/PT were amazing in my recovery! Good experience overall. Only experienced a communication gap that 1 nurse seemed to have with everyone. That's the only negative from my 4 day stay. Delicious food, average choices and good atmosphere. My doctors orders weren't transferred from the hospital to the rehab facility so that posed a problem for several days, including scary amount of pain med doses given to me. Thankfully I had the printed orders with me and the facility corrected treatment!
I came to ORMC for genetic testing when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Everyone treated me with kindness, empathy, dignity, and respect. Check in was easy and I was in and out in no time.
I had an ultrasound and a mammogram. The experience was the best I ve ever had. I very much appreciate the way in which everything was handled. The kindness and professionalism of the staff was wonderful.
Very unimpressed. I had 2 day nurses that were great and actually cared, the rest of the nursing staff were less than attentive. To ask for help and be told you can do it yourself or no response is beyond inappropriate. Little to no instruction upon discharge never offered to show us how to bath our newborn and failed to notice a manufacturer error with how the car seat was put together. Thankfully our pediatricians nurse was able to help us fix it. To say I'm less than impressed is putting it nicely.
Someone stole $700 from me while I was at your hospital and no one was giving me any help try to find out who did it plus my driver's license two credit cards and a concealed weapons permit at this time I don't want to go back to the hospital
Ogden Regional is my favorite hospital! They are always kind, professional and caring in their approach to my healthcare. I will not go to any other hospital for myself or my family. We love you!
Spent 5 hours there and was sent home with really no resolution to the reason (severe lower abdominal pain) that brought us to the ER. Sent home stil in pain and no medications were sent home to relieve the pain either. Told to follow up with primary care doctor. In my eyes big waste of money and time but at 4 in the morning where else was I to go when could barely move and in so much pain.
Staff is very proficient and care very much for their patients. I could tell some have more of a work load than they should have, which could cause some minor issues.
I love Ogden Regional... I never have any hassles with them. I show up, sign a paper or two and I'm off to get my tests done. And the techs doing the test have always been top notch and empathetic. Great people.
I absolutely Love Kristie Palfreyman, she has been exceptional in taking care of my issues and she actually listens to you, takes action with direction to taking care of difficult issues. I am extremely pleased with Kristie.
A friend of ours had surgery there and we went to visit. The room was FILTHY!! The window tracks on the sliding glass doors looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months and there was visible dirt in the corners of the room. Mind you thus is a surgical recovery room you would think they would want it clean.
The staff was amazing! I had a 22 hour labor but went smoothly and no complications and the nurses are wonderful. My daughter ended up in NICU about 12 hours after she was born. That was hard for me having her away from me. But the nurses were amazing and took great care of me and when my daughter was doing better they took me to see her. I just can't say enough good things about the staff I loved all my nurses and the NICU nurses were amazing and helped me a lot and helped me understand what happened. I had an amazing experience!
I have been operated in this hospital 4 times. I have found great care there. They move you in quickly. They have been very good except the time in March of 2019.Which I was not pleased with the care in a timely manner.
Absolutely horrible!! Worst experience!!! They don t even deserve 1 star but that s the only way it will post! No one knows how to read reports no one knows how to put IV s in, had my husband brought their by ambulance and they released us had in back in the a different hospital and hospitalized for 5 days!! sure wish Ogden Region could read and knew what they was going could of prevented a long Hospital stay! We are now on home health care and praying for progress!! We will never go back to Ogden Regional!
My experience with ogden regional and gamma west cancer was extraordinary. I was treated timely with respect and efficiently. The staff and doctors was amazing. I would and have recommended them to several others.
The doctor that ran my test was so good. He explained everything to me very clearly and made me feel very comfortable. He was open and genuine and straight forward and I really appreciated that.
The people and the hospital seem great. My surgery went better at this hospital then the last one and I felt like the staff was experienced. However the billing department's customer service is horrible. Every time I would call the wait time would be quite short but the representatives would only want to take a number to call back because they cannot assist you with anything related on your account. If you ask how long it would take for a call back their reply is 3 days or longer....... And they are not kidding! I'm surprised people get paid to just take call back numbers. Anyways I would recommend the hospital but do yourself a favor and don't even bother with customer service.
I went into the emergency room with terrible ear pain. The wait was very short because I was the only one in the waiting room which I was very grateful for. I was then taken back and and was being questioned by a nurse which one of the questions was how much pain I was in and I explained that my pain on a scale from 1-10 was a 6-7 and that it hurt bad enough that I was having a hard time thinking clearly. About this time the doctor came in (J.Adam's) and I explained what had brought me in. He looked in my ear and then said I had a bad ear infection ant then left the room. He returned promptly and then decided to shove a dry hard piece of cloth in my ear and gave me a prescription to go pick up and basically said he was done. In the end the visit was very short but it was too short!! There was no testing done to see what type of infection I had, there was no ear drops or antibiotic administered, and I had to ask on a few separate occasions for something for pain. I asked if they could do anything immediate for the terrible pain I was in and was ignored. I was given a small prescription for pain pills but had to wait another 2 hours to get it filled. I feel I was treated more like an inconvenience than a patient who's doctor truly cared for. Now it is 4 in the morning and have been up all night in pain wondering if I need to go to a different hospital where I will be taken care of properly.
Using my BF's account to do this, cause I don't have one. My mom has been here nurmerous times because of strokes and kidney failure. Last time she was there she said that they restrained her to the bed after my dad left so she would keep her oyxgen on. They also released her and let her go, when she wasn't of sound mind, but they said she was. They treat her like a drug addict anytime she goes in and say it's the Percocet, and she OD on it. She takes it for her broken back and foot. Well it turns out after calling 911 again a couple days ago. That she has pneumonia and kidney failure from ALL the prescriptions that she is on. They said her kidneys can't keep up with that much medication, in her system. Her doctor has so many patients, and just keeps throwing prescriptions at her. Last June when she went in I wanted to punch the nurse who was caring for her. I wouldn't because I have RA, but I'd never met such a rude uncaring person in my entire life. She's white, overweight with short brown hair and glasses. I don't remember her name, but I can't believe they actually employ people like that there! When we called 911 a couple days ago, because she wasn't making sense, was low on oxygen and kept falling down. She understood when the paramedics said they were taking her to Ogden regional, she immediately started freaking out and saying no I don't want to go, so we begged them to take her down to Davis. We are now at the U of U hospital. It's further away but well worth the drive. It's refreshing to see nurses who actually care, and don't yell at their patients or family members.
My aunt fell and broke her pelvis and was admitted 2 weeks ago and stayed there for about 10-14 days
She stayed on the 2nd floor and I have not seen such terrible care from the nurses, she was in so much pain and they would not come when she pushed the button for help for hours! That was the case for pain, for bathroom help, meal that's that came to her was not taken out for two days. I guess I maybe understand a little bit if they were understaffed but they can be nicer to these people who are in the hospital who are sick or hurt. It takes a very special person to be a nurse and the nurses that were assisting were terrible. They were out at the nurses desk on their phones, laughing, while she has been waiting. I have been in the hospital several times and I have never seen the care that my aunt had while she was there! Horrible! If it is a case where they dont have enough nurses to take care of the patients, hire more! I will never recommend Ogden Regional to anyone, ever! And those who only have insurance that that is the only place they can go, I am truly sorry.
It's great at what they are doing but the hours are grueling 13 hour days. And even if your sick you have to go. Wednesday is the worst. After dinner at 5 enough is enough. Your soo tired how can you even retain anymore. Nurses and doctors and staff are great though. My 4th time there but won't go back. Because of hours.
Not the best hospital experience I've ever had. They seemed overly, short staffed, even the staff that was around, seemed to work in other departments, and were helping out. It was clean, but maintenance was as lacking, as nursing. Showers and faucets, leaked badly, and looked like they had for a while. If I were to have an emergency, or something more serious, I will go down the road to McKay-Dee, to a more professional staff, and a much better facility.
My son was diagnoses with a blood disorder and needed weekly therapeutic phlebotomies. My doctor's office was not capable to take the amount of blood that needed to be taken on a weekly basis to get his levels down, so we were sent to the hospital lab for them instead. I would like to know why we were not told that the phlebotomy (same as what the red cross does) would cost us $100 per time after insurance BEFORE it was done. We were under the impression that is was just part of our doctor co-pay. They checked my son in each week, but never mentioned anything until the third time when they demanded payment for that day. Shouldn't this have been a discussion before the bill was ran up. He is finally able to see a Hematologist (specialist) where there is a in-house lab and they do his blood under the $30/co-pay.
Just had an ACL reconstruction done at Ogden Regional Medical Center. From receptionist, to nurse, doctor, anesthesiologist, post op care, and everyone in between- I was beyond impressed with the exceptional care and treatment. Everyone was pleasant and helpful and kind. I appreciate everyone who participated in my care in making it a good experience and smooth stay. Thank you thank you thank you!!!
