Menu is made up of small appetizers at full meal prices. Our group of 4 spent $160 with no drinks. One example was a broccoli casadia which was made up of 2 small two tortillas (one on top one, on bottom) with sparse filling for $14.00. Their pizza was the size of a tortilla for $16.00. Save your money. So many better places to eat or drink in Austin with your friends for half of that and you will actually feel like you ate something.

4.5 star restaurant rounded up to a 5. They don't have a best of dish in Austin but a lot of top 5's, like the burger. Some dishes are way too salty, and I'm a man who loves his salt. I named my first baby Morton, and it's a girl.

The staff is great, always friendly and helpful. No way this place is 4.5 stars without them.

The lunch menu is whack, it's not much cheaper than the dinner menu and things like the $20 burger don't come with sides. At least float me a pickle Chef Miser!

Insultingly tiny portions for trumped up prices, with quality and flavor that aspires to humdrum, but often lands on vile. I don't mind paying a premium for quality ingredients, but this place is just the pinnacle of pretentious.

2 different experiences.

First - lunch was pretty good. I had the pig face (ham sandwich). It was delicious. Service is outstanding. Two of us ate lunch for $35 with tip.

Second - dinner wasn't as good. Beer selection is decent but the wine list is extensive. The dinner menu is small plates. The prices however are not small and do not match the quantity served. Small plates averaged $10 but had just enough for 4 people to get a taste of the item served. The $33 duck had enough for 1 person to eat as a meal.

To be fair, everything we ate was delicious. The carrots were great and the parker house rolls were great too.

If the portions were bigger this would be a great place for dinner.

4 stars for flavor and service.

Can't recommend highly enough! Everything on the menu was incredible, and I would trust anything they have on their rotating selection. The servers were super friendly, and we got treated to a small sample of one of their desserts just because we said it looked good. Treated us like family and fed us like royalty.

Went for Sunday brunch. Making reservations was a bit intense--you have to give credit card and if you don't cancel within 24 hours they charge $20pp (for 6+ people I think, we had 4 adults and 2 kids). Then when we showed up, half the tables were empty anyway--so it just felt very unnecessary.

They were very friendly! No complaints there. But they definitely pushed you to buy stuff--appetizers, drinks, etc.. We all felt a bit uncomfortable about how pushy they were.

Food came out super fast--as in, right after the drinks, and the staff was very quick at picking up empty plates and bringing check--which definitely left a feeling of being rushed. We weren't even there an hour and felt like we had overstayed our welcome!

Also, portions were ridiculous. Normally, I can take an entree and split it with someone and still have more than enough to eat--this time, my pancakes were so tiny that I was still hungry after! There was definitely no ability to share this $12 dish. I had two pancakes that were thin and about the size of a $1 coin. Someone had the "biscuits and gravy", and it was just one half of a biscuit with an egg on top. (They also had large plates--the plates actually emphasized how small the portions were; they would have been better off serving on smaller plates.) My friends also had similar issues with portion size; after eating brunch, we had to go get fast food as we were still very hungry!

Food quality/taste--average. It was fine--nothing great, but nothing bad either.

We did get to eat outside, which was lovely.

Plates--they had a collection of plates that were chipped, like they bought them at a flea market. One friend said she loved them, but I was less than impressed--I can eat out of chipped dishes at home. That's just personal preference.

They had a parking lot dedicated to them which was awesome! Valet service was free, but we got there a little before they opened and were able to park ourselves which was nice.

I had the pretzel appitizer, quail sandwich, and ice cream. My date had the burger. Some of the best food I have had in Austin. This wil be a regular place to go for me. Plus they have valet parking which is great in this area due to there being almost nowhere to park.

LOVE. This place, holy hector, Id move to Austin to be closer to this restaurant.

Locally sourced ingredients, HECK YES. Veggie, Pescie, and Carnie options, HECK YES. Culinary mastery, HECK YES.

I love food, and I love locally sourced food thats high quality with a decent price tag, and I really love this place. At the time of me writing this review there were 952 reviews, averaging 4.5 stars, that says something, theres special things happening in this kitchen. A group of gals, all with a variety of dietary restrictions, gathered here and ate, and ate, and ate. We ordered a plethora of apps, for tasty pre-meal snackies, then a bunch of meals to share. I shared the fish special, it was a hand breaded piece of fish served on a bun from heaven, and a spicy buffalo sauce. I. WAS. HAPPY.

Go here, order tasty treats, and donate some cash to the kitchen for beer. Its worth it.

Note, lots of veggie, pescie, and carne options. #veggie4life #veggielife #pescielife

Love this place! One of the best restaurants in town! I love how it's tapas style and very unique dishes. Super delish, great service and yummy cocktails! I loved sitting at the bar to watch all the action!

A must try. This place is amazing. I had almost everything on the brunch menu. & 2 orders of the chorizo pretzel with pork belly. Get ready to spend some money, though I have to say it is definitely worth the money. The environment is great, the staff is easy going, patient, & willfully respond to any requests. There is indoor and outdoor seating, and a bar. I only had the chance to take pictures of the drinks and some of the desserts beacuse it was that good! I dived right in to the food. It's a great place to take the family out or even just for a date. A must try in Austin.

My boyfriend and I were ISO a Friday happy hour during COVID. Y all- this place is doing it right. 50% occupancy, sanitizer and nicely distanced tables. We are so lucky to have this place in Austin. They are reservation only for the time being so try to plan in advance. The food is incredible and the cocktails were strong.

Odd duck is contemporary and rustic at the same time. We sat outside on old picnic tables that went very well with the clean lines of the restaurant.

We came for brunch and everybody shared their plates with each other. Cast Iron Duck Eggs, Fried Egg Sandwich, Kolache, Popcorn Hominy Grits. Cast Iron Duck eggs were rich and loaded with feta, olives, and mushroom. Fried Egg Sandwich had a delicious slab of pork belly and gouda. Kolache had a spicy jam that was great! Popcorn Hominy Grits were good, although I'm not a grits fan so don't ask me for my opinions. Everything was super rich and very decandent. Loved it all. P especially loved this place because he likes eggs on everything.

The servers were quick and very attentive. Overall a great experience!!

One of the crown jewels of the Austin "farm to table" movement, Odd Duck is one of THE can't miss locations in Austin. With a focus on small plates, great ingredients, and great flavors, the Odd Duck is guaranteed to impress in a great atmosphere with great service and fantastic cocktails.

Creative and delicious local eats. Small plates like tapas. Very kind waitstaff. Unusual blends of flavors, foods and cuisines. I really enjoyed the meal, but it was restrictively expensive. If I could afford to spend $150+ on a meal, I'd try more drinks and dishes without fear of paying for something I wasn't sure I'd like.

Pretty good! Me and my girlfriend had appetizers, dinner, and desert. We started with the Yellowtail Quiche, which was very flavorful, then we had the soft pretzel sticks with some kind of unique queso. Very good, small. For the main course, I had braised pork shoulder and she had grilled antelope. Both were great but I think I liked the antelope out of the two. For desert I had bread pudding and she had sweet potato sorbet. Didn't like the sorbet, but the bread pudding was awesome. I would come back here again.

This was an amazing experience - but it is an extremely popular restaurant. Make reservations at least one week in advance if not further out. If you can get reservations for happy hour - even better. The prices can be quite high for the menu, but the happy hour specials are excellent.

We sat by the bar and there plenty of two tables open. But ambiance is good, it is that trendy place you must go to. The food is very good but in my opinion nothing out of this world or exceptional. The waiter was friendly and recommended the special which was a good call. Definitely use their valet parking it is worth it.

Umm ... I dont get it, I guess. Relatively bland. Service ok but impersonal. Minimal depth of flavor. Feels like they are trying to get you out asap. Not worth the money. Wont be back. Bummed by the experience.

I absolutely love this place. Usually a 5 star rating on my end each time...but today was different. I had coffee in my hand and was looking to throw it away but the hostess immediately grabbed it out my hand and seemed very condescending about it. Jeez calm down lady. Second of all, the chicken was super pink inside. When I brought it up to the waiter he was so quick to say the chicken is actually cooked and appears that way due to the chicken brine. He even mentioned that many customers bring up the pinkness of the chicken. If that s the case, the Chef should really consider changing it up. The outside of the chicken was crispy and delicious but the inside was so hard to chew and it felt rubbery. I got sick after I ate. Clearly it wasn t cooked. I did love the fact that they brought a fresh bowl of water for my dog. I always appreciate dog friendly restaurants. I can t say I m never coming back , but I can say that I ll never eat the fried chicken there again.

I've been sitting here trying to decide whether the cocktails or the food were the highlight of the evening, and that pretty much sums the place up. Excellent food, and equally excellent(and unique) cocktails. Rotating menu with farm to table options - every item on their menu shows where it was sourced. Fast and friendly service with complimentary valet. Cannot go wrong with this place. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

No fries, no parking at lunch, and no way you won't love Odd Duck. It's a seasonal menu restaurant covering all your taste preferences. The fish tacos and wagyu burger are the most popular and it's easy to see why when you taste them. You almost can't find a better flavor balance in Austin. Wash it down with a cocktail that has been aged for a month like the Martinez. Be sure to come during off hours if arriving without reservations because it does fill and parking is limited.

Great small plates for lunch/dinner. My wife had some food restrictions due to allergies and the chef updated/crossed off things on the menu so that we knew what we could order. The wait staff are friendly, courteous, and helpful.

Un. Freaking. Believable. Reading the menu, I was pretty reluctant. I'm stupid picky when it comes to food. Not adventurous and more things I don't like than I do. But I was absolutely bowled over by everything I tried here. The blend of flavors, every texture, the presentation, everything. Simply astounding. Excellent place.

Walked in early on a Sunday evening and was seated right away at the open kitchen counter. The staff was friendly and offered great suggestions. The food was all locally sourced and had inventive combinations, like chamomile tomato panna cotta.

Everything was delicious and shared tapas style, the only thing that was a little questionable was the pork chop. It seemed a bit under cooked for pork (read: red in the center) but flavorful nonetheless.

It was well recommend by almost everyone we asked, our experience did not matched the acoledes. Plates were so small it was difficult to savoir the dish. They recommended sharing not a good idea w servings that size. The service tried to be be nice but it didn't seem genuine. One time experience for our party of four.

The first time I came here was within the first two months that it opened and you could tell that the menu was not quite refined. But I just recently visited again and they have definitely stepped up their game! Their menu and flavors are on par with their sister restaurant, Barley Swine. Great service, great flavors, and cool location. Their menu is ever-changing and the cool thing is that they will list the local farms that they work with so we know where the food is coming from.

Love love love this restaurants. It's an amazing place for small plates and intimate dinners, the food is amazing, the ambiance swanky and the drink/beer list is divine.

Haven't ever been here without leaving full and happy. Their cast iron paella is INCREDIBLE. I honestly feel like I could close my eyes, pick anything on the menu and have a delightful, creative, delicious meal.

Great food, many different things which are all delicious. The menu is pretty unique and looks like plates you will only get here. All plates are sharable, making it easy to taste multiple flavors. The staff is very nice and the place is good enough. Even desserts are awesome.

This seems like the place to be in Austin. With a diverse menu of small plates everything we tried blew our expectations out of the water. Staff was friendly and super knowledgeable. Good luck getting a table if you are walking in. We walked in and were told the entire restaurant was booked after 5pm, even the bar. We felt super lucky for walking in right as the restaurant opened for dinner service. If you are looking to impress visit the odd duck.

Great service, the staff is very knowledgeable about the menu. The food is always farm to market fresh, unique and delicious. Small plates, great for sharing with a date (3-4 items is recommended).

Wow. This restaurant was absolutely amazing. A friend of mine asked me to join her, and I did not really have any expectation. We were there during happy hour luckily, and the menu was our oyster. We crushed through over half of the menu. The tapas style dishes were quite fun to share. I personally loved the Pork Chop and the Pork Belly dishes. We did order the fried fish head, and it was very good. It was a little too bony for me and had minimal meat. The drink specials presented a great list of options for us. I love the location, and I look forward to trying more meals here.

I would recommend getting a reservation. We did not have one on a Wednesday night, yet we figured we could just get a table. We lucked out and grabbed a table before their reservation started. I definitely want to try out the patio, as I hear it is air conditioned too. The servers were very nice, and they were attentive to our needs. As we finished plates, they were quick to clean them off.

I would rank this place as one of my favourites in Austin so far. Even though I am new, I do know good meals.
