So good! We are visiting and my friend who lives in Austin took us. The burger is AMAZING, everything was made with care and delicious fresh ingredients. Fantastic atmosphere and the whole place smells terrific. I Highly suggest a visit to Odd Duck.

I'm not normally a fan of small plates because it means I have to make too many decisions but at Odd Duck it's great because it gives you a reason to try out lots of great dishes. The hummus with watermelon was refreshing, the fun-guy pizza had lots of smokey goodness.
Gave it 4 stars for the atmosphere and for trying, and while its a nice rustic place with great cocktails, I expected more from the food. Heard some mush of the place, but food is luck of genuine flair of flavors. Not much of creativity either but just a mix of what seems to sounds good on the paper but the result is poor and the ingredients do not bland well with each other.
Odd Duck is one of the best restaurants in Austin. Service, quality of food and ingredients, and creatively delicious cocktails keep me coming back. The menu changes with the season so there's always a chance to discover a new favorite!
This brunch place had great service and the food was creative. We ordered 4 plates to share: the Dutch baby, quail taco, pork belly bowl, and crab benedict.
While the bowl's nuoc cham was a bit salty, we enjoyed the fresh ingredients. My favorite item was the blue crab benedict. The biscuit was flaky, soft, and slightly sweet. A perfect amount of the blue crab and the ham was a plus.
We enjoyed the experience and all ingredients being local provided a palette like no other.
Really awesome old fashioned, good small plates of food, they were delicious and fresh. The ceviche was incredibly good. Great friendly service as well.
I liked it, great food and great start for new foodies. I think its the first step to complicated flavor and introduction to the foodie world. Be careful the portion are more like tapas, so you can get in trouble with total cost.
Awesome place! Highly recommended for a nice place a little different than normal. Service was amazing and so was the food. French press coffee was also on point! I will definitely be back!
What a fun menu! Everything we tried was delicious! The scallops and broccoli beer cheese quesadilla were standouts. The menu changes regularly with the seasons but the care in preparation was solid across the board so order confidently! Our server was friendly and attentive. Great lighting and atmosphere after dark too! Recommended.
Exceptional! Great unique farm to table dishes presented beautifully. Delicious cocktails, great space and super friendly staff. Small plates tatsing menu style...Just means you order double of what you like.
The dishes are creative and most were very tasty, though there were a couple of items that somehow missed the mark. The Shiitake doughnut, popcorn dish was interesting but it was hard to get past the unappetizing appearance. The Pretzel, ham and cheese, and mustard was a tasty good starter. The cheese in a jar is like cheese mousse. The charred broccoli, scramble eggs, apple was seriously delicious. Goat rolled in pasta, mole, butternut squash, mesquite was tasty; the braised goat was perfectly complimented by the combination of mole and butternut squash on top of pasta, topped with a sprinkle of pine nuts. The roasted chicken, left over bread stuffing, cabbage, apple brisket, dried chilies, pickles, white bread was a family family style main dish; the succulent chicken with a dash of the stuffing, baked apple and cabbage made up the perfect forkful of food. The bread pudding, malted ice cream, beer caramel is one of the best desserts in town.
Most of the food was just ok. Kept waiting to be really impressed by something, but it never happened. It s also very very expensive. Several plates that should have been served hot came out room temperature. Won t be back.
Odd Duck looked like a unique dining experience with a creative menu. The tapas style plates were inconsistent and a bit hit or miss. We ordered three plates of the Wagyu bavette and two of the dishes were perfect w/a delicious salsa verde, the third had absolutely no salsa verde on the plate. The pork chops were tough with a lot of gristle. Other dishes had issues as well. I will say the wait staff was nice and attentive while the management team became very defensive when feedback was provided. All and all there are much better dining experiences in Austin.
After hearing many great things, Odd Duck was a disappointment, especially if you have food sensitivities. My cousin and I both have food concerns which the waiter seemed annoyed by. He seemed resentful of us the whole evening - irritated we didn't order drinks, irritated we only ordered two items a piece, etc. $21 for a tiny plate with a few ounces of beef? The atmosphere is good but doesn't warrant the prices in my view. It's very loud as well. I have a $50 gift certificate still leftover, and I don't want to go back to use it.
On a positive note, the woman who brought us our food was very nice and fun. I wish she was serving us the whole way. The short rib beef was delicious as well.
Food: Really taste food. We ordered the happy hour 1/2 priced dishes, which were broccoli quesadilla and the corn bread. Broccoli quesadilla, sounds weird I know, was in good quality. The Broccoli was pureed into the creamy cheese base with a lot of flavors in it. And the crust was pan-fried to crispy but not burnt. For the corn bread, it was served in a super hot cast iron pan. The cheese and butter melt inside provides the perfect combination for a corn bread. I also order a craft beer which was good. And the dessert Lime Panna Cotta was good as well.
Service. Very attentive receptionist. All seats were committed to reservations but she was able to offer a 'happy hour seating' - she needed us to return the seat back by an hour and half - which is well communicated and served our purpose of visit well. The server was also very friendly and helpful. Knowledgeable to share a lot of the details of the food here as well as provide a lot of local guide to us. Other customers here were also very friendly. Behind us was a senior gentleman. He noticed that we were trying to get some attention for ordering dessert. He kindly talked to our server that we may need some help. Lovely Austin People!
Ambience. The setting here is truly 'odd'. They don't serve you the same series of plates. Every plate for individual use was different. And they have a lot of lovely and odd paintings/decorations.
