TERRIBLE FOOD! As returning guests, we attended a large wedding and we were expecting at least an average experience with food and venue. We were so terribly disappointed for the bride and groom's families. This is an expensive, memorable event for a family. The cocktail hour was on the open veranda overlooking the bay. There were supposed to be protective plastic walls on the veranda (for the wind), but those were only around the bar area. There were a few open fire pits but more for effect. The hors d'oeuvres were wonderful, but the guests were BLUE with cold. There was more than one wedding occuring, which is sad for the bridal couple as this should be their day in the spotlight! At the inside reception, the FOOD was TERRIBLE! The clam CHOWDER was so SALTY and COLD that it was not edible. The FILET mignon was OVERCOOKED, grey, dry and cold; the FISH was DRY and not edible. Hopefully the bridal couple and their parents were having such a good time socializing that they didn't try the food!

Must've been something in the 70s... Disappointing, as it is billed as something much nicer. Seems like they've been 'putting lipstick on a pig' for quite sometime now. Go to Chatham Bars instead.

My wife bought me a $200 gift card last Christmas thinking she was buying me a round of golf. Whomever sold it to her was very glad to take her money at that time but failed to tell her I had to be a resort guest in order to play the course. No reason for us to stay there as we are year-round Cape residents. Who knew the $200 was meant to be a down payment on a host of other charges they'd like to get from us...including the cost of a room, restaurant charges and other fees. If you want to gift your friend or loved one a round of golf, be mindful they want you to stay there and might think they're like Pebble Beach in that regard.

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL PLACE ... went there for the first time for my friend's wedding and was amazed. Service was great, food excellent. I will definitely return with my family for a quick getaway.

When we got to the room, everything was clean and room looked nice but there was no body wash and we were missing a pair of slippers, also the robes looked very over used and worn out on the inside, it was kind of gross. The towels were like sand paper. we called to ask for slippers and body wash and waited for maybe 30 minutes but we were anxious to go explore so left thinking the would just leave our stuff inside our room.

We went to the beach bar and the service was awesome, drinks were good but the chicken nuggets were rock hard and over breaded and the fries were cold. When we got back to our room we called back and asked about the slippers and body wash and they said their log said that they had been delivered to us already, they weren t. Our stuff came promptly after that, they were apologetic and said there was a mix up. Then we went to dinner at Linx tavern. Again, the service was wonderful but the food was bad and over priced. We had the wings as appetizer, they were really good! For entrees, my husband got the swordfish and I got the steak. The food was cold! Like actually cold. The sides were underwhelming and the tomato thing on the swordfish was way too sweet. We felt the food was very over priced for the quality. We had a bath planned for when we got back to our room. One of the reasons we booked this hotel was because of the deep soaking tubs in each room. When we got back, we discovered there was no plug for the drain so we called front desk and asked if that was normal and they said no, it should have had a plug so he sent maintenance. The maintenance guy was very nice and apologetic but said he couldn t fix it that night because there was a whole part they had to change in the drain, and nobody had noted that it was broken before. he said they could do it tomorrow and it was a bummer but we said that would be ok since we were going to be out all day.

The next day we went to the terrace for breakfast and this was definitely the best meal we had from all the places in the resort. Service was once again excellent both at the coffee cart and on the terrace. The food was good, salmon bagel and the eggs, both solid. My husband then went off to have yet another underwhelming and overpriced experience at the spa and I went to the beach. When he got back to the room he noticed the drain still hadn t been fixed so called front desk and spoke to someone who sounded like he was inconveniencing them. They said their logs said the tub was fixed same as with the stuff from the day before.. he assured them that it was not fixed and that someone needed to come and fix it. The response was very short with no apology and stated someone would be by later in the day .then we hung out on the pool that feels more like a public pool than a resort pool and the water was freezing though I thought the website said it was heated. When we got back, the nice maintenance guy was arriving to fix our tub and he did and we were able to have a bath that night, which was nice.we left the resort for dinner as we had learned our lesson with the food quality in the resort.

Later that night we were parched and had ran out of the water bottles we had brought with us so called front desk to ask for some water and they said they couldn t bring us water since the restaurant was closed but we could drive down the road to buy some. This felt very unacceptable to me, I ve been to many way cheaper hotels that provide water for guests in the room. Its like, the bare minimum. Not even a vending machine on premises! Overall the whole experience was bummer after bummer and we left underwhelmed and a little annoyed. We did not get the quality we deserved for the price we paid. No one really cared that it was our honeymoon, we weren t expecting fireworks but at least a little something to make us feel special! But there was nothing. I will also note that most of the time we called for something (front desk, housekeeping, spa) we had to call more than once because there was no answer which is odd for a resort.

The location is good but the resort is not worth the price. The service is run by exchange students who are new to handling customer service. The food is decent overall but the breakfast was awful. As one post said it s a decent hotel but there is no way they should charge the room rates they do for the service provided .

Started off rough with getting stuck in the elevator for 15 minutes. Pool and hot tub were nice and quite and enjoyable. Enjoyed drinks and apps last night for our pre-wedding festivities. Today was a delicious food tasting of entrees and deserts.

Overall this is our favorite resort at the Cape. However this time around we had some issues. We were put in a basement unit and charged the same as an upper level unit which doesn't seem right, twice within 24 hours our room keys had to be re-issued due to malfunction, and the Britterige village is a dead zone and despite the resort having wifi we could not get a consistent phone/text or wifi signal. Signal was very weak, intermittent, or not existent. They were very good about their COVID precautions which caused waiting in line for the main pool or lack of availability at the restaurants, however for safety I wouldn't change it. I recommend this resort as a place to stay, but do your homework before booking. I recommend the Arbor Village or the Mansion if its in your budget.

We recently spent 7 days traveling 5 states in the Northeast. We decided to stay 2 days on Cape Cod and we chose Ocean Edge Resort even though we didn t know anything about it. We were extremely pleased with our 2 bedroom 2 bath villa and it was the perfect place to relax and enjoy our time on Cape Cod. Our check in experience was positive and we found everyone to be very helpful and courteous. We will definitely be back in the near future to enjoy more time.

We went last month in warm weather September and all the water was drained or stagnant. The course needs to be repaired and there was stray golf balls everywhere. There is a shed/building part on the course that was all boarded up. But the kids didn't care so that's a plus.

My husband and I booked a room for two nights in a mansion wing over February School Break. We were excited to return to Ocean Edge having had several happy stays over the years. We were put in a room right next to the elevators - not a big deal. We came home from a day out to find about 8 young boys playing knee hockey in the hall. Again, not a big deal - I teach elementary school and understand kids have energy. However, three hours later they were still playing, screaming and running up and down the halls. Their parents did nothing to control the activity. We were trying to nap. We called the front desk and were told they couldn't make people stay in their rooms and that it was a hockey tournament group and February break. We said that wasn't our problem and we wanted some quiet time. They offered to put us in a suite in another part of the hotel but hockey families were there as well. We decided to stay put. Again in the evening there was a good amount of noise and activity until close to midnight.

Checking out the next morning the front desk apologized for the noise saying they tried to spread the group around to keep the noise down. Really? So other guests have to be surrounded by youth hockey teams with no quiet options? Very poor management decision. The hockey group should have all been put in one section of the hotel to allow other guests the experience they paid for. I understand it was February break. It was my vacation week, too. The hotel took $75 off our bill and said they hope our next stay will be better. I told them although we love the property, we will never return. ALL guests need to be considered when planning room assignments and Ocean Edge failed miserably.

Staying in a condo is nothing like staying at the Inn. Although the apartment was larget6(2 bedrooms and a den), the services were lacking. We asked several times for extra coffee and soap but it never came. The tp ran out and we needed the maid to give us a roll but she never gave enough when she cleaned the room (which we had to request). She was pleasant enough but did not understand. Food service was limited but breakfast was good

this was a 3 day stay with my family (kids are 13 and 10). we stayed at the villages condos. the condo was clean and neat when we arrived. the living room is large and the kitchen fully functional. nice TVs. clean bathroom. washer/dryer. the staff were very friendly and helpful. we didnt have one bad experience with the staff. it's a higher priced resort the staff should be cheerful and pleasant, and they were. most of the staff are younger europeans who were well trained and eager to oblige. paddle boarding was very fun.

Very disappointing. My good friends were staying to celebrate a special occasion. My husband and I called the front desk to arrange for a nice bottle of wine and a card to be sent to their room before their arrival. When our friends arrived there was no bottle in the room. I called several times that night and was assured it would be delivered and then confirmed it was delivered. It was never delivered. I spoke with several people and and then eventually a manager. The manager called me by the wrong name but said they would deliver the wine and it would be on the house. Upon seeing what was actually sent to the room (not what we asked to be sent) and a card with the WRONG name on it prompted me to write this review. It seems like there is a major disconnect going on at this hotel and customer service is not a priority.

Beautiful location (divided into the villas and the Mansion) rooms views and very close to activities. Resort has 4 pools in door and out and a few tennis courts, you can also rent out bikes from the resort and go on their bike trail. They have 3 restaurants, breakfast is amazing with very good service. The room was very clean and spacious with a full working kitchen wash and dryer, it was just like an apt. I main complaint for this place was the bedding and pillows, the sheets felt like plastic used on tables and the pillows were extremely hard woke up with my neck hurting. This is not something serious but you should really bring at least your own pillow; other then that this place was amazing and will definitely stay again :)

This was my 2nd time staying at Ocean Edge Resort....

This was my 2nd time staying at Ocean Edge Resort. Therefore, I had high expectations, since the first stay was pleasant. However, this resort fell short of that this time around. First off, we were given a room that was so inconvenient to get to, having to haul our luggage back and forth. Then we get to room and find that our refrigerator/freezer are not cooling. So much for bringing our own food to enjoy! Half of it went to waste. The hotel then tried to help by giving us a mini fridge. This fridge also wasn't cooling properly. What a hassle and waste of our vacation time trying to get a new fridge! We had absolutely ZERO wifi in our room. Couldn't use our phones or play music unless we walked outside. Nice inconvenience when you are trying to relax on vacation. The lock on our porch door was also broken, so we had to waste more of our vacation time getting that repaired. Fletcher pool was FREEZING. The temp said 85 degrees, but it felt more like 65. To top it off, the manager, Elena, offered a resort fee credit- Great- except for the fact that this was also a huge hassle trying to get it squared away. They refunded the resort fees, but then tacked on about $18 in 'water tax' after checking out, when we were all paid up, taxes and all. Spoke with Shelby regarding the $18 upcharge- she kept saying there was nothing that could be done, then refunded it, but angrily hung up the phone. Said she would email receipt. Never did, so low and behold, we still thought we were going to have to pay the excess tax. So, essentially, after having to go through this mess, we were able to enjoy about 1/2 of our vacation. Do not recommend this resort at all. The only nice thing about it was our shuttle driver ROB. That's the only reason it gets 2 stars not 1. We will take our business elsewhere next time.

I really enjoyed working with Moriah Saccardo, who was my original contact at Ocean Edge for the 3 day retreat I was planning for my company. She was sweet and informative, very much unlike Christine Trimarco who was nothing like Moriah. Working with Christine was a very unpleasant experience. She was quite short on the phone, she was never available by phone and when I got a return call it was hours later. I booked 60+ rooms with Christine and then was told that there was nothing they could do with the $1,000 we had left over from an attendee drop out. Not only did I have a very hard time working with her but my boss had very unpleasant things to say as well after leaving the resort. Needless to say that we spent a small fortune for the 3 days we were there, we will not be returning or planning any more retreats going forward with Ocean Edge.

Check-in was super rushed, got no info about the resort. Were handed some passes, no idea what they were for. Last night of our stay we realized there were no dishes in the room. Found out they were all stuffed in the dishwasher and were dirty. Nice rooms, but stay wasn't great.

If you plan on using the pool in the villages
Be prepared for understaffed shark bah

Overall a big disappointment
Been a summer renter for over 15 years
Oceans Edge is failing
Radio advertising -- increased fees ( additional $20.00-- total of $70.00 per person per week )
