I stayed at the villages, it sucked. it was filthy, there was trash everywhere, bet cans, schnapps bottles, cigarettes lots of cigarettes. big sticky stain of something that soiled the rig and was never cleaned up, gum stuck to the ac unit, the screen door kept popping off. sheet rock discuss all over the window sill obviously not ready for guests. I alerted them they offered me free buffet breakfast for my son and I. I thought it and said for dinner for myself, he was at camp, they offered the pub, I asked for the terrace which they agreed to. skip the Chatham muscles and chorizo, clam chowder was good, halibut was really good. indoor pool was nice there is a hot tub as well. locker room is small the sauna said it was supposed to be in the mood 100s the temp inside said 235. too hot for me. they hire young foreign exchange type workers. Chloe from Ireland at the desk, Ally from Russia and Rasheda from Jamaica at the pool, Nicholas from Arizona waiter at the terrace all were absolutely wonderful. simply delightful people. I would NEVER stay at the villages which is just down the street again but I would consider the main Mansion grounds. Mansion and it's grounds are beautiful. with the exception of Nicholas I found the Americans to be less inviting personally, they were polite don't get me wrong, but somehow cold compared. there is an Irish guy ,Tom I think ,who coordinated the foreign workers around the grounds he is very pleasant as well.

the one thing I did notice was some of the foreign workers seemed a bit nervous when the higher ups came around, jumpy maybe it's a cultural thing who knows . if you go engage the foreign folks, from the ones I mentioned above to the random grounds keepers simply delightful people to chat with

DON'T stay at the villages

I've read mixed reviews about the service, but we had exceptional service and the staff was extra helpful: my wife "accidentally" dropped our keys down a drain near the club house just as I was getting ready to tee off. The folks from the pro shop and grounds crew came and fished it out with rope and a magnet. It was a life saver... And I was able to swap to a tee time the next day! The pool, golf course, food, beach, and resort were all great. The proximity to the bike path is also a big plus.

Not maintaining it as well as they did. Lots of mildew on pool furniture and patios. Missing tiles in pool. Lights not working on walkways. Poor supervision of summer staff too. Generally getting pretty rundown.

Booked a room for a hockey tournament that was cancelled, called one month in advance to cancle room and was charged a $25 cancellation fee! Worst policy! If they do this kind of stuff, what other anti-customer stuff do they do?

A lot of minor issues. Initially, we were given the wrong room number, and half our door cards didn't work. On the second to last day, the door cards just stopped working. Our friends staying next door had the toilet break. Housekeeping did the bare minimum providing fresh towels but didn't take the old wet towels or topping up things like the toilet paper. The resort is beautiful, but the rooms leave a lot to be desired. The lighting is dark and awful (apparently the living room doesn't require a lightbulb). Overall I would not recommend the resort given the price 2.5 out of 5.

Not sure what the other reviews are talking about with this place. We stayed here for an entire weekend and it could not of been better. Look at my reviews and how many reviews of high end resorts and hotels I have and then you make your decision based on other reviews. This place could not of been better. Yes the buildings are a bit dated, but the rooms are redone and spacious and comfortable and the grounds and resort facilities including the pools are in pristine condition and sparkling clean. The staff bends over backwards to ensure they pamper you from start to finish and they could not of been more welcoming and nicer! Yes this place is pricey for a reason. You are in an exclusive resort spanning 429 acres on the east end of Cape Cod with top notch facilities and a private beach with wait staff taking your drink and food orders directly on the beach! Of course you will have to pay for that convenience and luxury! Trust me, why stay in a motel along 6A and have to drive to the beach and pay for parking and then schlep all your chairs down on top of it when you can have it all in one place. Don't go by these other reviews, I am a well traveled individual staying in only the finest establishments, I know quality and this place is it! This place is great for families and couples and of course is situated in one of the nicest parts of the Cape overlooking Cape Cod Bay with amazing sunsets on a very nice private beach!

I had the most memorable time of my life elegant romantic evening dinner I wore a nice gown. Waking up in the morning any feeling like I went back in time like I was a part of their family I had a feeling I was reincarnated into the future and left with the most fondest memories of my life . I later had a beautiful walk on the beach nothing like it in the world

It was alright? I got a few nights stay as a gift from a friend. I'm glad I read the reviews beforehand because we were charged an additional $25 a day as an "amenity fee" which seems real shady because isn't that the point of going to a hotel like this in the first place? The staff was pleasant and the room was clean if a little beat up. The murphy bed was a cute touch. The bed was overly firm and the pillows were weirdly small and round at the same time. I feel like I could find a better option for much cheaper in the same area.

Very nice rooms

Very nice rooms
Pricey though...even off season there is a "resort" fee...meaning what??
Not much..even had to pay for a continental breakfast... so went down the street for a bagel...
No thanks..
Many other places to stay....
