2.5 hour delay in check in. We were told there was a bowling alley down the road we could kill some time there. The room was old and smelled like rotten sea food. No maid service fue to covid 19 but no discount. Room for four had a table and 2 chairs. Could not reach anyone on the phone for house keeping or front desk for hours. Bed was so uncomfortable I had to take sleeping pills to sleep. Advertising. Said hot tub in room, which they have none. Spoke with travel agent they called management who was suppose to contact us. After 3 days still have not gotten a response. The kayaking has to be booked in person waited 2xs for over a half hour no one came to the rental station even though the door was wide open. Tried calling resort yet again no one picks up the phone. The worst family vacation resort ever. Thank god we brought our own food but did have to go buy cooking utensils.

2 star hotel with 4 season prices and Motel 8 service. I was greeted with two cockroaches in my room in the Mansions. They said they d sent someone to clean it up. I just checked in and had to wait an extra 20 minutes because housekeeping was thoroughly checking it. Disgusting.

Literally the worst meal I've had in my entire life. It took 45 minutes to get the water and bread, 90 minutes to get the appetizer, and two and a half hours to get the meal. Then the food came, which turned out to be unfortunate: matted hair "squid ink" (i.e. food dyed butter) angel hair pasta and the most rubbery (and cold) lobster in existence. I would rather have not eaten or stayed here than to have been subjected to this.

I stayed there back in April and the cleaning ladies stole all of my underwear, bras, curling iron, and even some clothes! The hotel was very difficult to work with and explained they will not reimburse for all lost items, only $200. The hair curler alone was worth $200.

Stear clear from this hotel!

Without doubt, Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club is Cape Cod's premiere destination. With breathtaking scenery and great food and drink, I highly recommend taking a visit or staying overnight at anytime during the year. The staff is approachable and helpful, offering plenty of information as well as Harry Potter themed events for children. The rooms are large and beautiful, incredibly clean and cozy.

I had paid to stay at the Mansions for 4 evenings at $450 a night. This hotel is not following CDC guidelines . I was told when I booked my room in March that the hotel would be at half capacity and everyone on staff would be masked. 3 nights were at full capacity. No on in my floor in housekeeping wore a mask and servers in the restaurant all had noses exposed. Please don t endanger you re guests if you re not ready to open

Insisted on charging a mandatory resort fee, even though I was there for business, and even though the pool and hot tub were closed. That s petty, sleazy, and desperate. Don t defend it.

My wife and I just returned from a couple days stay in the condo villages across the street from the mansion. The properties are clean and beautiful and the grounds are meticulously maintained and a pleasure to view whenever passing thru. One big disappointment was the terribly worn out and uncomfortable mattress. The staff was responsive to our concern but unfortunately the remedy of simply turning the mattress over (as their 1st attempt to rectify) resulted in a 2nd nite of uncomfortable sleep.

Feels like the others who have written reviews here should indicate if they stayed beach-side (mansion side) or golf course side. I think the experience is much, much better if you are in the mansion (with beach access included). (It probably should be as I think it s considerably more expensive). Staying on the golf course side is a bit more of a second-class citizen experience. Buildings on that side are clean, but with thin walls, weak wi-fi and for some reason no curtains on the windows to keep the morning sun out! What we could find on the web feels a bit like a bait and switch (although a lot of it s there in the details if you look hard).
The grounds are immaculate with plenty of places to walk and access to the Rail trail. Pools, kayaking and biking are convenient and great. Did not golf or play tennis. Staff was very pleasant. Probably the biggest disappointment is discovering that the beach is reserved for those in the mansion and parking at the local beach is $20 a day and almost non-existent as well. Shuttle ran to beach but only once an hour and its timing was unpredictable to me (or poorly explained either could be true). Felt like the staff knew more than they were telling us, but were forthcoming with info if we knew the right questions to ask Can we use the beach ? Restaurants on site seemed to cater more to an adult crowd if you re there with kids, and there s plenty of other places in the area to eat (JT s right outside the entrance is great). Didn t feel like we could take advantage of all of the amenities being on the golf course side (parking on the other side also seemed almost non-existent, especially if there was a wedding that weekend) and not sure it was worth the cost when that s taken into account.
Gotta go 3 stars to balance out those reviewing only the mansion side experience a bit.

Went here for a training. The location is beautiful and bucolic, and the wait staff is proper and prompt. However, this is not a place to go if you want updated ammenities-or updated wallpaper. The looks could get a facelift, but the overall experience is beautiful. I would recommend.

We only went in for drinks and for the view which is lovely. It is a very beautiful hotel and the staff I spoke to were vey helpful. My only one issue is the amount of staff standing around chatting not paying attention to customers, we actually had to ask to be served. There were too many staff at the bar and they were not being supervised at all, hence the amount of chatting amoungst them. It was very easy to over hear their conversations and given the level this establishment seeks to present I found this wrong.

Stayed there this past weekend and this 'resort' is nothing more than a glorified motel. Had a musty smell, poor customer service from staff, and room had garbage left in it from the previous guests. I guess this is what you should expect from a 3 star hotel.

Dated mansion and amenities. The service is generally good but it was understaffed the week we went so there was little service. I do feel like they tried their best. The food here is mediocre. I would definitely recommend any of the local restaurants instead. The rooms in the resorts are decent but some need repair. The first room they assigned to us had an electrical outlet coming off. Definitely unsafe for kids and adults. It also had an ant infestation problem. It was quite disgusting.
The staff here nice and friendly. I think management needs to make some investments in refurbishing and cleaning up some problematic areas.

Outstanding. Our second time staying and I can't say enough nice things about this resort. One special.call out to their super friendly and helpful tennis pro. Handled bike rental as no one else available. What a nice guy. Location is gorgeous and amenities are wonderful.

Had a company meeting here and really enjoyed my stay. I cannot say enough great things about the staff, especially Sam who works the front desk reception area. I had forgotten my sweatshirt at arbor village and the bus to go home was leaving. I spoke with him to see if he could help me. I went to wait for the bus and all of a sudden Sam comes out of nowhere in a van with my sweatshirt just as we were leaving. Two words Rock Star!

Beautiful beach. Otherwise, this place could have been a super 8 motel which was built in the late 80s. The rooms were old, with lots if little annoying problems like a toilet that didn't flush, stains all over the furniture and carpw, and shower door which didn't close, and a kitchen which barely had anything to cook with. Everything on the property is premium pay-per-use pricing including using the gym, riding a bike, or roasting a marshmallow. If you are paying $1000 bucks per night , you would think that they would at least let you use some of their amenities. Comparably priced resorts anywhere else in the world would come with newer rooms and much better amenities. My advice: you can go to beaches in Cape Cod for free which are just as nice, and skip this tired old resort.

Love Ocean Edge, but Linx restaurant was awful. Poor service and waitstaff inattentive even though we were one of 3 tables of customers. Went back for dollar oysters the next night and again service was awful. Had to get our own silverware, napkins, drinks took forever, etc. This time the waiter tried at least. The staff at the Linx were no comparison to what we experienced at the Mansion or on the beach. Ricardo was amazing to us on the one day we were able to go to the beach.

The ocean's edge restaurant definitely has the views, but the bar tenders act like they're doing you a favor, and the menu is filled with basic $35 options that you would expect to be a third of the price. Go for a drink but make other plans for dinner!

The rooms are very clean, and so are the bathrooms. The pools were awesome. If you like swimming, than it's worth it to get a room near the pool. The beach is close, but you will probably have to drive there. Overall had a great experience here!

I would not recommended this place!

I would not recommended this place!
As far as the room, very clean and nice but no mini fridge, the door to the patio stuck and was difficult get out to the patio and the shower drain was plugged.
Also, no ice machine available... we had to call room service to bring ice to us! And if your planning breakfast, plan on waiting on a long line for your omelette station, because only one person was working!
Saturday night and we were looking forward to a nice dinner overlooking the ocean on their Ocean Terrace restaurant. But the rudeness of the waitress and arrogance of the chef ruined that moment!. My husband ordered the halibut which came with asparagus, but could not have due to an allergy. We asked the waitress if she could sub the vegetable with the squash which was offered with another dish. Simple... but no! The waitress just rolled her eyes and said she would ask the chef but already decided we couldn t change because they already portioned out all the meals!
What? How did they know what guest were going to eat? After several minutes the waitress returned and just said that we could not substitute the vegetable and that the chef just wouldn t put any vegetable on the plate! We paid for my warm glass of wine and left.
But the biggest reason for my low review, be careful if you use the safe in the room. We had forgotten that we had locked up valuables in the room safe during our stay and had checked out and forgotten the item inside. It was 3 hours later before we realized that we had left that item but when we called, they already knew we left this item in the safe. So why hadn t they called us? We re they ever going to contact us? All we were told is that management escorted the item with the maid to the front desk so we could pick it up there with ID.... thank god we got the item back!
Use caution when booking a room at the mansion, Overall experience was very disappointing!

This was the worst experience I ve ever had a hotel paying $425 a night . They do not follow the standard CDC guidelines. Servers half masks half on . Management is incompetent. I would write more details but I can t waste another ounce of energy on this dump. Look under the 4.5 rating .... google has it at 3 stars. I guess because Brewer doesn t have many hotel options they can get away with this but I would keep driving to Ptown.

We attended a wedding here. The ceremony was on the beach, reception was in the Carriage House, and we stayed the weekend in a one bedroom condo in the Arbor Villa in the Villages. It was gorgeous and watching the sunset from the deck of the Carriage House completed a beautiful day.

Terrible place. Terrible spa. Terrible management. The hotel was even awful. While watching tv, they sent someone pounding on the door like the Gestapo because it was too loud? So unprofessional. This place is such a disgrace to Brewster and the locals.

The perfect place to stay on cape cod with a gorgeous golf course, tennis courts, a private beach complete with beachfront bar, two other bars/ restaurants, a range of accommodating price options and fantastic service. Shelby at the front desk was wonderful in making our stay a particularly enjoyable one. Highly recommend.

First vacation with my boyfriend for our anniversa...

First vacation with my boyfriend for our anniversary after being quarantined for so many months. I REALLY wanted to love this place and was extremely let down. We arrived early the day of check in to have a full beach day and once we arrived we were told check in wasn't until 5pm. So I had paid $700 for a day/night that I was barely in the room for. We had a 6pm reservation so by the time we got our room we were rushed to get ready and had no down time. We went to take a shower and the tub clogged up so when we removed the plug in the tub there was a ball of hair and a bandage! I understand that no place is perfect but we waited ALL day for that room to be cleaned and we went up to that. We had dinner at the ocean terrace. For the price of the place I was hoping for a very high end dinner because that's what my boyfriend and I like. We were very let down by the small portions, the way the steak was cooked & asked for a table with a ocean view that morning saying it was for a special occasion and was not given that. (Also why I thought $700 a night might have been worth it. For the ocean views.) After dinner we were still hungry so we went to the front lawn for the brick oven pizza .. which was 10x better than our first dinner. We went back to the ocean terrace the next morning for breakfast hoping to at least get that ocean view we wanted and a big nice breakfast and the menu had only 3 options... We left and went to the local place down the st. Truthfully all your paying for here is a beautiful beach day on the private beach and the awesome beach bar over looking the beautiful blue water... This place is a scam I will not be back.

I attended a work event here and the experience was pretty good. The food was average during lunch and dinner. The staff was very nice, though. The main issue was how early everything closed. The bars shut down around midnight and room service stopped at 9. It would be nicer if things were open later.

This resort should be ashamed about the way they handled a recent hockey tournament cancellation after partnering with the tournament. There was a major noreaster storm and the tournament had to be cancelled. Conditions on Cape Cod were UNSAFE. Yet, when asked to check out early and escape the dangerous storm, the management decided to keep with their cancellation policy and NOT refund anyone. In a sense they are taking money out of our childrens pockets behaving in this fashion. I highly recommend taking your vacation budget to a different provider...

Lovely location. Too few staff at beach/pool/snack hut. Pool needed ph attention to water. It was extremely hot and nobody appeared to be around for that type of maintenance. Would give it another shot.

The resort reminded me of a giant apartment complex you might find in the suburbs. Not particularly charming or even that nice. The room smelled musty and minimally appointed with furniture. The TV in the living room didn't work either. The kicker is that they charge a $25 per night "resort fee" for things like the shuttle bus, pool towels, etc. etc. Seems like that should just be absorbed into the room rate but was a surprise to me. I wouldn't recommend this place even at a highly discounted rate. There are better locations and accommodations elsewhere. Very disappointed.
