Pricey, but a nice hotel. It's oakland, but there's plenty of places to eat nearby. Overall a great location. Rooms were clean and well taken care of.

Nice hotel. Even with the strike going on, we were quite comfortable.
Recently remodeled, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Comfortable and clean rooms. Attended a conference here recently . It was easy to travel via BART from the SF Airport to the Oakland Marriott. The hotel is conveniently located near a Bart Station. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Whole Foods is a little over a mile away. I would stay here again.
The location was sketchy but the facility was nice and employees were professional. The bar's selection was okay, they didn't have my personal drink of choice. The price was fair but still slightly expensive.
Good hotel, comfortable bed, huge TV, great view of the bay. I'd definitely stay there again.
We love our stay. Rooms on the 5rh floor were nicely decorated 40-50 inch screen TV, REFRIGERATOR and micro on request. Quiet and clean
Location is good here. Too many Knick Knack charged. $59 per day valet is crazy. Charged me for WiFi even though it was supposed to be complimentary. Nice place is stay if you want to burn money. Plenty other options out there.
Good service, clean with a good amount of snacks during our 3-day event. Minus a star due to lack of foresight and having to wait an hour for food for the first day
It was a nice place and the drinks and food was adequate. Not outstanding, but definitely good.
Stayed when most hotels were fully booked in San Francisco. Hotel in it self is fine, room was very good. 10-15 train ride with BART to downtown SF, with the station just outside the hotel entrance
Big venue, staff was professional. And you're allowed to eat on the floor.
Amazing staff & views facilities were under construction. Overpriced but ok!
The service was good. The food was good. They had to serve a large crowd for the conference. They did so very well.
Clean, nice room. Nice TV that I could hook compute stick to.
Stayed here for work and it's way better than the Courtyard! Great location a block from my job and the gym is pretty good. Attention to detail could be better... Some dusty places that haven't been touched in a while, but I also realize this isn't a Ritz. Definitely will be staying here for future work trips to Oakland.
Overall the services was good. Clean environment, good customer service.
This hotel robs you if you are staying there for any event. My husband and I stayed here for a couple of nights and paid a fee of about $270 a night. They cut amenities to reduce their costs but made it more difficult for guests. Simple amenities like room service is not available and when we tried to order from our room to go pick up the food, we were told we could not and had to come down to the resturant to place the order and wait 30 mins for the food to be ready. Not only did they inconvenience us in that matter, the staff at the restuarant was extremely rude. Also there was a terrible noise that would persist from others taking a shower. Someone would always take shower in the late night and the noise was soooo loud and we could not sleep. Also, not to mention having to wait 45 mins for valet to bring our car after paying a hefty fee of $45 per night. There were many other things. If I am paying nearing $300 a night, I expect to recieve at leasr standard service which I did not recieve.
This is your typical large Marriott location - clean, comfortable and newly styled. The front desk staff was phenomenal - Julia, Sandy, and Santi were all a pleasure to work with. Only downside of this location was the valet service, however Julia was extremely transparent with us, identifying the problem rooted in their transition between valet services. We waited over an hour for our vehicle to pull up, but at least they didn't misplace ours like they did the fellow before us! We brought the long delay up to Julia at the front desk and she immediately emailed her manager to note that we should be credited for the parking fee for that day. Santi provided us water throughout the trip upon request, she even juggled our request while assisting another couple awesome customer service skills! And upon checkout Sandy managed the credits back to our account, stepped out from behind the counter, and walked us through our receipt line item by line item again fantastic customer service!
My room was beautiful with a great view of the city. It was located on the 14 th floor. The room was clean and the bed was very comfy. My only upset is that I was charged for the internet when I was told it was free. I wouldn't pay 15 dollars for one night of internet. For this I take away stars, cause I can't stand liars!!
Wonderful staff. Very supportive and helpful for our leadership conference. I did not stay in the hotel so I can't speak to that, but I would book another conference there any time. Only downside is the parking is very expensive and less you're staying there.
Real upscale with a nice view of downtown Oakland...
$11 dollars for 2 tiny ice creams and one soda. Are you kidding me?
The room was spotless and exceeded my expectations. I was surprised that they had a smart TV in the room where I could log into my Netflix.
Nice, upscale room; slow check-in; meh pool.. The Oakland Marriott City Center offers a very comfortable place to stay in Oakland, with well-appointed amenities onsite, but a few downsides. The rooms and public areas are very pleasant and well-furnished, and we got to enjoy a thorughly spectacular view of San Francisco (sunset!) from our room window. However, checking in was a dreadfully slow experience: long wait time in line, and really slow to process our booking because their reservation system is not properly integrated with corporate (from whom we had a complete confirmation, but the hotel did not). If you plan to stay, you might want to call ahead to confirm they have your booking, and look into mobile check-in, if possible. Finally, their swimming pool is on the small side, and does not have a jacuzzi/spa, and I had to seek out housekeeping for them to restock pool towels.
Although a bit expensive, we really enjoyed our 5 day stay and the rooms were nicely decorated and very spacious! Highly recommended!
I went to an A's game for work and also to Fisherman's Wharf with my brother.
Went for SF Comic Con. Definitely set up for business meetings but staff was awesome and hotel looks real nice.
Food is OK but it is way too expensive like ridiculous man!
Great bed and room, but kind of offended that they charged $10 for wifi in the rooms. That was $10 if you wanted to use just regular, and like $15 for "For high speed.". Also, parking was $40 a night. Boooooo..
Gym was in a conference room. Temperature was not regulated. Arggghhhh. Rooms were not as clean as I would expect from a downtown marriott location. Service was good and staff was friendly.
Got assigned the wrong room 3 times. No free WiFi. Shower head wasn't working properly.
Attended a conference in the hotel. The valet parking was easy, but a bit expensive. The hotel conference hall was nice and it was easy to navigate around.
Good location right in downtown Oakland. Close to bars/restaurants. The tooms are nicely renovated and have some really nice features.
Nice hotel but the room was odd shaped (triangular), and the toilet had trouble flushing and took forever to refill.
Convenient location. The food they served at the conference was actually very good. I was able to find Oakmont right outside.
Horrible customer service! I called 1/30/20 and it took 30 mins to make a reservation but the guy was nice, he just kept getting mad the computer or program he was using. Today I called to change the reservation and when I told the gal, I got the biggest sigh. Wow, am I bothering you?? Then she couldn't change it for me because my name was not added to the reservation when I made it for my employee. Such a hassle, I won't stay here or put my people here ever again.
Worst hotel, save your money and go somewhere else.
Staff is rude, they don't explain anything how parking works.
And elevators are broken , and lying to the guest that its just everyone checking out at same time , but in actual technician said only 1 of.the 4 is working.
I'll give them 0 star if I could.
Considering the money you spend, good advice is take your business somewhere else
Great service , good food. Attended the NCIA 2018 cannabis conference
Harrison, Farida, and the staff at the hotel are exceptional!
Attended a work party. The facility was nice, the food was good, but not great.
The rooms are nice, large TVs and the bed did very comfortable. Definitely deserves a second stay. Staff are professional and helpful.
Service was excellent. Our room had a great view of the bay. Standard breakfast
The employes were very nice and the service was incredibly good. Although one issue I has was that room service closed a little too early.
A great place to stay and just a few steps away from bart station to get to San FRANCISCO and the staff are very nice and helpful and there are great views of city and there's local farmers market on Fridays. And there are a lot great local restaurants and the hotel have a great place to eat the Iron&Oak restaurant on the second floor they sever good food, the best are the loaded tots and truffles fries.
The hospitality was great. The security kept me safe. And everyone was friendly.
Service was impeccable. I got lost trying to find the entrance to the parking lot and a hotel attendant happily directed me to the elevators. The convention center itself was immaculate and well catered. Plenty of little shops and bars nearby for a super fun weekend of magic and downtown Oakland fun!
Love the staff. Help their. Local bus driver thank you for your great sevice
It's a very stylish hotel with comfortable beds and big TV's and airy room's. The food is good and in the Marriot lounge you can go and grab some soda or beer for free. The price was a bit hefty considering the location. The hotel also has a pool and a gym
I'm a member of the Marriott
And before to book the room, l want to use the Restroom???? But Restroom was needed the password, and l try to get the Password and they did not give the. The password to me terrible terry bad Service Desk service did not Help client
Valet expensive, but worth it! Beds are comfy and the staff great!
Wonderful place.
Worth visiting
Great experience! Donna from the front desk was very warm and helpful. The location is great--walking distance to great restaurants. Really enjoyed my room and the overall hospitality of the place. The in-house restaurant is also excellent.
