The hotel is mediocre at best. Over priced, run down conference area and service is less than stellar. More so CHECK your bill. I run conferences and expo's and I had many guests at my conference who stayed at the event that had to dispute their bill. I also had thousands of dollars on our conference banquet orders I am still disputing. The disputes are still in progress and it has become clear there are ethical business issues at this hotel venue.

This is definitely a business hotel and not what I would consider a Marriott experience - there was saran wrap on the smoke detectors (that they never came to remove after we complained about it), they charged us for the wi-fi even though we used the free option (which really wasn't completely free as we had to join Bonvoy), the service at the front desk was slow, as was the valet service.

But...the rooms were clean and in good repair, the food at the restaurant was good and the housekeeping staff was very friendly.

Just in for a beading class. As always, facility was very clean, bathrooms in particular very nice! Water was provided in each room. Experience could be improved if one didn't need to leave the hotel to get a reasonable latte!

They decided to shut down and/or reduce their services because of the conference running this week. That isn't how a hotel works. You don't cancel the room service and other amenities you advertise and charge for whenever you are a little busy.
If you're looking for a place to schedule a conference, don't come here. If the rugpull of amenities isn't enough to deter you, consider the constant sirens (avg one every hour?) and the homeless crackheads living two blocks away who literally roll their carts of garbage in front of the hotel and chase people across the street threatening them because of the voices in their head. That part is pretty cool too.
But wait, there's more! They set off the fire alarm in our room in mid morning, a siren that seems to indicate the end of the world. Apparently it was a routine test. Good thing they didn't warn us, or do something stupid like wait for the damn afternoon. Every day here provides new and exciting frustrations.

Friendly staff. I had been packing up a friend's house all day and i was looking kind of Grundy. I wouldn't blame the staff if they were less than nice. But it seamed like they knew how my day was going and made sure my requests were met and exceeded. And the room was very comfortable

Parking valet joy rides your car. Watch out! If you have a high performance/luxury car, think twice about handing the keys over. They damaged my gear shifter and took NO responsibility for it. Gave me the run around for weeks . Better yet, DO NOT park your car there.

Great location. Recently renovated rooms were well designed and so comfortable. The beds were so good, we almost missed our check out time. Highly recommend booking here, particularly if you're after a break from the San Francisco scene. We drove around Oakland and discovered some of the local restaurants.

I normally don't write reviews but this one is much needed. I never stay at the marriott (they don't deserve to be capitalized) because their hotels/rooms suck for the price point. You have more room staying outside in a tent with the homeless and the decor of the hotels are always horrible. The reason I stayed here this time was because of business and work booked me here due to proximity of the business in the area. Employees of the marriott were on strike 24/7 due to the marriott not meeting their employees half way and offering contracts. By the way, I stayed here about a month ago but this past week there was a $200 charge on the credit card for no reason whatsoever none other than by marriott. Called the hotel and not 1 person could say why the $200 was charged to the card. Eventually the charge came off after several run arounds with the hotel because it was their mistake (surprised they had the decency to say it was their mistake). During the stay they were no apologies from any of the staff about the 24/7 ruckus nor did anyone ask if my girlfriend and I could be better accommodated by the hotel (shitastic customer service). marriott hotels are being run by a bunch of clowns running a circus act all the way to the top. DON'T SUPPORT SHADY BUSINESS, BE A CONSCIOUS CONSUMER AND STAY FAR AWAY FROM ALL marriotts, THEIR AFFILIATE HOTELS AND OTHER PARTNERS. THE GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEIR ORGANIZATION AS WELL TO SUPPORT A RIDICULOUS BRAND LIKE the marriott BEING THAT THEIR PRACTICE FACILITY IS WITHIN THE COMPLEX. I hope the employees get what they're fighting for.

No pool. No sauna. Toilet leak in room. No complimentary parking, have to pay 45 dollars per day. Double charged me for first night. No complimentary breakfast. Room was small but decent. 80's style bathroom with toilet (leaking toilet) next to tub. I don't drink but my partner does...said paid 15.00 (plus TAX) for a Long Island drink (16.42 total). Lastly, the biggest disappointment was that there was no pool or sauna...it was " being renovated" as of June 2019 while this is late August 2019. Pool and Sauna are our signature events whenever we stay in hotels so this really made things feel like money wasted. Could have stayed home......had a room on 18th floor. The view was nice.

Very nice facilities, and very friendly people, something that made me curious was that I did not include breakfast, I did not see any restaurant or something, I do not know if it was my mistake not to see it or it really does not include it.

Clean.

I stay a lot of Marriotts and this is one of the best. The fact that the subway is literally a hundred feet away is super convenient for getting into San Francisco. This is a great, lower expense alternative to staying downtown with convenient access and a good onsite restaurant.

What once was the only place in town has turned into a corporate experiment to see how many corners can be cut. Very sad, an incredible staff is being managed out of existence by East Coast decision makers. Highly recommend looking somewhere else.
