Service in the bar is excellent, and you don't have to be a guest.

We had a wonderful stay. Staff is very welcoming and friendly. Front desk is exceptional, they truly will try to meet all of your needs. Also, the hotel takes all precautions needed regarding COVID-19. Highly recommended hotel!

Had a company meeting here a couple times, the staff is great and the parts of the hotel I saw were very clean and well taken care of.

Fancy and convenient. Very good customer service and the rooms were the standard in cleanliness. Don't shop at the UPS though, they charge you a pretty penny.

I booked my daughter a room to take the bar exam which was being hosted at this hotel. I called and requested the group rate which was negotiated by the California Bar Association. I also requested an extra night so that she could rest after the exam and fly out the next day. They charged her the full rate, did not honor the group rate and told me if I didn t have the quote in writing they wouldn t honor it. I ve patronized Marriott for many years. It s a shame they won t honor their commitment, especially given that they force customers to transact business online or on the phone. I m so disappointed in this company!

Nice hotel. Staff were friendly and quite helpful with directions to San Francisco. The only issue was when the plumbing backed up in my bathroom. The maintenance guy was able to fix it at 9pm.

The location is conveniently located near BART. The rooms are a great price and the service was excellent. The menu was vegetarian and little expensive.

Had a great stay here last week. The linens were fresh, the room was very nice with a giant big window. People were courteous, the restaurant was good.

Stayed two nights, nice room, friendly staff, convenient location, did get charged for something I didn't recognize incurring but they took it off the bill without a fight.

I went to City Center for Developer Week. It was a bit crowded but I thought the hotel managed the traffic as best they could. I'm certain I'll attended more events there again.

The Marriott conference rooms were amazing and extremely comfortable and accommodated the conference extremely well.

Come here often for mandatory conferences. The only pro is proximity to BART. Food is a hard meh.

This is one of the best Marriott's in the bay area. The customer service is top notch. The rooms are clean and smell great. The restaurant area is awsome. The hotel has some amazing views of the Tribune building. I have stayed here a few time and i will stay here again.

The staff at this location is wonderful. The manager is a Gem of a person . We enjoyed our m stay at the Hotel. The hospitality is amazing at this Hotel. I will highly recommend everyone to try this Hotel. The only reason I am giving it a 4 star and not three, is because the neighbourhood arnd the Hotel is a bit shady and you will see lots of Homeless people arnd. I wouldn't wak arnd the Hotel in the night.
The Hotel is almost in front of the Metro station and very near to the down SF (almost 3 stops I think) If you don't consider the kind of people you see and hear in the neighbourhood this Hotel is perfect for a stay.

Great front desk staff! So professional and friendly. Room was immaculate. Had dinner at the restaurant, Iron and Oak, and it was very good.

Hosting Conference in April 2019 WACUHO/WACE, was on a tour of our meeting spaces our rep was awesome she was knowledgeable and represented the hotel well

Check in was a bit confusing and slow but they gave us free popcorn for the delay. The hotel is in a great location. Connected to the convention center and close to tons of restaurants and bars. Room was clean. The bed was super comfortable.

The staff is very courteous and helpful. The rooms were a bit dated but other than that the stay went well.

Hotel is clean. Rooms are good size. Water pressure in bathroom too low. Toilet when flush is too noisy.
Hotel is located above the Subway line..
Trains passing under are quite loud.

Clean spot. Expensive parking like all other hotels. Not much to speak of for food, but being just a few blocks from China Town, it's easy to get good food, if that's your thing. Street parking is expensive, look for cheap mom and pop owned parking. Most are cash only though. Don't expect a 5 star service and you'll be fine.

This is a great place to stay with an outstanding staff; lovely views as well. I will be back soon.

The room was exceptional with a very nice TV abd refrigerator. The staff was very professional and extremely helpful. The Members lounge was outstanding!

Love there drinks . ... On top but the food is cool too.. Drinks is what I go for ..my hidden place..........

I was only in the ball rooms for a work event so I cannot talk to the quality of the rooms, but the staff was nice and everything was orderly.

Clean rooms right of the BART station, so easy to get anywhere.
Customer service was just OK. Not making your problems thier own in finding solutions together like I'm used to with other Marriott properties, but willing to point you in a direction for a solution.

The water quality was ok, but the bathrooms were pretty nice. Solid place to host a small convention

Fairly-standard convention center and hotel in downtown Oakland.

AC was on 60 just to get like warm air. Bathroom is very small. The employees however are great and the bed was very comfortable.

I was here for a guest speaker in the convention center. Parking was easy but very pricey but did not want to try to find cheaper parking in downtown Oakland. Food provided by the hotel was great. Service was exceptional from all the employees. Only con was that it seemed a bit dated and probably needs some renovation.
