Area was spacious, staff was very welcoming and friendly. Elevators are a bit confusing. Two sets of elevators, one to access floors 1 - 21, another to access private floors 1 - 5.

Clean fresh rooms but kinda small. Friendly staff and great location. BART is right in front and a nice farmers market on Friday one block over.
Going into the middle of Oakland turned out to be a much better experience than expected.
Great, clean hotel in a great location. The bar/restaurant staff was excellent. Right off of BART 12th street/City center. Highly recommend.
Service was good and friendly. Rooms were a bit small but comfortable. No continental breakfast. Location was supreme. Expensive place.
Excellent service. Upgraded our suite because they heard we were getting married. Promptly took care of the vending machine that didn't give me my drink. Friendly staff. We also received free drinks, free soup and amazing service at the iron oaks inside the Marriott. First time customer at the Marriott and they will be my first choice for the rest of my life.
The area was clean and orderly. The price for parking was pretty steep, but it's also downtown Oakland. Loved that there was a farmers market on Friday though. That was an unexpected bonus.
I stayed overnight for a friend's birthday. We went downtown to a club and stayed the night at the Marriott. The hotel staff were courteous. They had overnight security to ensure hotel guest safety.
This place is beautiful! All the updates have made this hotel top notch! Rooms were clean and beautifully designed! I loved that there were so many usb ports throughout the room. And finally a Bluetooth alarm clock!!!!
The Oakland Marriott City Center is peaceful 95 percent of the time
Stay there every year for the convocation in June love it
I am attending a convention. Hotel staff are friendly.
Easy check in. Right across from 12th Street BART station (two stops from coliseum). Comfortable beds. Great Lounge. Good views from the higher rooms.
Staff is awesome and assisted me with everything I needed. Room was nice. First hotel I have been at that have an excessive amount of pillows that were actually comfortable. Room has an urban modern design which is a nice touch. Restaurant on the 3rd floor with a bar. Had the rib eye and a salad, a little pricey but the food was great. Gym is located on the 3rd floor as well. Gym had a squat rack that was a combo chest press, kettle bells, dumbbell rack, ellipticals, treadmills, and a few machines. Not a soul is around 11pm-2am. Of course there is water and towels. Pool is on the 4th floor but was too chilly outside to use it. Restaurants are located around the hotel within walking distance. Also there are these electric scooters you can rent but I never really had to commute that far to use them. If you have to drive make sure you're comfortable with the specific style around Oakland...drive defensevily because it can get rough at peak times which is from 9-11am and 3-8pm. Watch out when you bring food outside, some seagulls are brave enough to come down and snatch it from you. Finding parking anywhere is a challenge which is why I chose to walk to most places.
Location is great, food options and public transit nearby. The facility is well kept and the staff helpful and friendly.
The staff was very attentive to my needs. A smile goes a long way folks!
Went to the Marriott after the Warriors parade and rally for drinks. Service was fantastic!
If anyone out there is searching for deals for hotel rooms head to . booked a hotel on there and these guys had the lowest rates worldwide!
My family and I had enjoyed staying at your hotel because it was very cleaned and organized. The menu was large without being too hard to choose from. The quality and quantity were excellent. I will be returning! this was an example of a very nice hotel. Highly recommendable to all of my friends and family!
Small convention center, easy to get to via public transit. Parking is a little difficult.
The hotel was recently remodeled and it's lovely. The rooms are modern and very well done. The staff was very friendly providing great recommendations. Also it's a great location to go exploring with good shopping and restraunts near by.
Security was very rude. I admit my room was a bit loud and there was a complaint but the condescending attitude and threats 'don't make me come back here or I'll kick your a$$ outta here' was unnecessary and highly unprofessional. I am contemplating switching my platinum status to Hilton from this experience.
The Oakland Marriott City Center is in a very convenient location just turn the corner and your in the hustle and bustle of China Town with it's many little markets with the freshest fruits and vegetables and the best prices in Oakland. It also has some of the best authentic Chinese food around. A little further down the street within walking distance is Jack London square with a brand new Bowling alley,a movie theater, fine dining, shopping or just walk along the Pier and admire all the beautiful boats. Day or night plenty of entertainment. All of your needs just at your doorstep. All of the staff are helpful and friendly. All of this located in the beautiful clean, safe Downtown Oakland,CA
If anybody is trying to find good deals for hotels visit HotelBuIIy. com booked a hotel on there and they had the best rates anywhere!
Great hotel experience. Clean, well-managed, great facilities, wonderful staff. Kristoffer at the front desk answered all of my questions, directed me to restaurants, and was above and beyond accommodating and helpful. Thank you for making a business trip all that much easier!
The lobby was great, the decor was simple yet refined, and you could talk. There is a restaurant on the second floor.
Nice big conference room. Great food, welcoming and helpful staff.
Have stayed here several weeks. Clean rooms, gooed amenities, strong water pressure and good supply of hot water. Well equipped gym and comfortable club room. Great service.
So much art everywhere!! #eyecandy lots of food and shops to encounter while walking around.
Excellent, very nice staff, and very much 5 Star for cleanliness, kind of on the expensive scale, but service is worth
Staff are great and the rooms are nice. Pool is either gone permanently or is seriously under construction. Easy Bart access.
The Marriott was conveniently located for our trip (in town for a show at Fox Theatre) and there were great bars and restaurants in easy walking distance. The hotel itself was great! We had a beautiful view of the Bay from our room on the 20th floor, the bed was comfortable, and the room had both a fridge and a coffee maker. The on-site restaurant was definitely better than most and everyone we interacted with during both late night and breakfast service was delightful. Lastly, there's a large parking garage at the corner if you don't want to valet and we were thrilled to find it connected directly to the hotel making it easy in and out.
New rooms are nice. Old rooms are not. In the middle of renovation so request appropriately
I regularly meet coworkers at Iron & Oak at the Oakland Marriott City Center. They have a small but diverse menu during lunch, which is the only time I've been. The service is prompt and always accurate. I would definitely recommend this for your next corporate lunch meeting.
Oakland convention center is located here. The venue is a minute away from the Bart station. Lots of restaurants nearby
Dinner food was mediocre, music was way too loud. (Ballroom)
The Marriott seems like a wonderful place to stay from the outside, but I would only stay here if the conference rate was cheaper than literally every other hotel in a half a mile block. The hotel advertises mobile keys and mobile check-in, but neither of these amenities worked throughout my stay. I went to the front desk three separate times regarding the mobile key situation, and each time they said that it should be working -- it never did.
If you do end up having the misfortune of staying here due to attending a conference and not having another choice in hotel, make sure to CHECK YOUR BILL! The hotel billed me at the wrong rate, causing a charge on my credit card of over $500 more than the rate that I originally purchased. If I had not checked the bill that was emailed to me post-checkout, I would have been out that money. They did refund me, however the refund takes 7-10 business days to process - which means that large of a charge on my credit card that I need to pay off with funds I don't have.
The staff was nice and it was nice to be able to just go up the elevator to my room after a tournament day, but the hotel is also poorly staffed in terms of functioning vending machines or anything to get a snack. The vending machine was broken but sent four charges to my card without actually giving me my drink. There also isn't a grocery store nearby anymore, so your options for drinks are literally the hotel lobby (which you need to wait in the check-in/check-out line to even get a drink there.
Best thing was the housekeeping was great - they don't move your stuff but ensure you have clean sheets and towels nightly. Also, the view is quite pretty over the city, depending on what floor you are on.
Overall, I'd say this hotel is one of the worst I've stayed at and incredibly disappointing for the amount of money spent for the stress it has caused me. I do not recommend staying here.
Great hotel! Perfect location, friendly staff, stylish accommodations. Girlfriend and I enjoyed the hotel for our weekend visit to oakland.
Nice hotel. Put me in room next to the elevator. Don't do that.
Service was great, the Venue was really big, rooms were kept clean and they brought towels when we needed them really quick.
Great refreshed hotel, reasonably priced. If you have a car use the valet to avoid smash and grabs and don't walk the area at night.
I have stayed at This hotel under all 3 bannersIn the service of always been seamlessly impeccable
Beautiful hotel. Easy to get to. Very helpful people who work there.
Was here for a conference, not good, fair food until uncomfortable rooms, not clean rest room
They didn't have waters some of the days. Other than that they were nice
Holding Marriot to a 5 star comparison I wouldrate it good but not the very highest rating. The check in experience was efficient but it felt pro forma. The restaurant was adequate but not stellar. The TV in the room was not positioned to comfortably view from the bed. The conference facility is nice however. The support staff is very friendly.
Great service.
Professional.
Couldn't get more welcoming staff at this hotel. 10/10 would recommend to everyone staying in Oakland and wanting to travel over to San Francisco with easy access to the BART and Jack London Square Ferry Terminal.
Nice hotel in a decent location. It was a bit disappointing that there was no commentary wifi and to use a computer just to print things required you use your credit card. Overall though it was nice and clean with a great view if you're on the higher floors.
Took forever to get car from valet. Not very friendly.
Rooms were great and check-in was fast with the friendly staff at the front desk.
Good beds but the facility isn't amazing. Some meeting spaces were terribly uncomfortable. The room layout was inefficient and the bathroom is unusable.
Clean, good location, and friendly staff. Food options mediocre.
Nice rooms. The conference I attended seemed to stretch their capabilities
