We had a swim up room that my travel agent booked through Delta vacations (which I will never use again). While the room was nice, the bed was comfortable, and the pool was good, the rest of the resort was definitely not worth my time or money. I have stayed at many different resorts over the years, and this is my third time to Punta Cana, but I have never had worse service in my life. The staff is downright rude. Check- in was a mess. The room I booked and paid for wasn't available so they tried to pawn off a different room. When I refused, I was told I had to wait and hour and a half without my luggage so I couldn't even go swimming or relax. None of the staff speaks or understands English so it was a struggle all week, especially when a woman needed medical assistance and no one could understand. The food was subpar, at best. The final straw was the enormous cockroach in my room. I called and complained and no one came to remove it. I called again, and they said they would call me back, which they didn't. Thirty minutes later someone shows up and doesn't even speak a word to us. On our last night someone called to ask how the stay was. I told her what was wrong. She said she would talk to management and get back to me, which she never did. When we check out I got a receipt, and no apology, no thank you for coming, nothing. Just another rude staff member. Luis at the Seaside Grill was the one staff member that was pleasant. I don't even have enough space to lay out all the issues, but I would NEVER go back.
