Adults only, all inclusive! Friendly staff, and they were well organized. Only downfall was: they put us in the wrong room initially, but got it sorted out. Didn't like that smoking was allowed. Food & Entertainment was ok. :-)

10/10 resort experience. Preferred Club = private beach, restaurant, lounge, etc. Food was exceptional compared to other resorts we have been to in the DR.

The food is good but the service could use some improvement, this could be a difference in culture, staff does need to be asked several times for the same drink before it is delivered.

Food menu items when ordered with some adjustment ( ham and cheese sandwich with vegetables removed, as an example); the adjustment is usually ignored.

The hotel and most facilities are clean, easy to find, and clearly defined. Rooms are large and just as clean. No major deal breakers on the overall stay but the service is inconsistent and could be fixed easily.

I absolutely loved the staff, the food, the weather and the trips. There was excellent safety, quick service, polite staff and amazing drinks! Preferred was completely worth it. I will absolutely return! Thank you so much to the entire staff.

Beautiful resort. The staff was awesome. The food missed the mark. The "romantic" dinner on the beach was a waste of $240 The food was cold and had no flavor

Beautiful hotel and pool with fantastic staff. Was very quiet the first week, before large noisy groups arrived. Unfortunately, the restaurant food is not very good and the house wine is awful. I had a bad tummy for a week. The cleaners take things from the room and dont replace them; hand towels, cups, bath robe, face cloths. Would not return to this hotel.

Fantastic Resort, wide choice of restaurants, entertaining Entertainment and no small children in the pool. Ideal honeymoon.

A great all inclusive hotel. Not too big with great entertainment, a beautiful inner garden and nice staff.

Me and my wife had a amazing honeymoon there. It was what we thought but more. The restaurant was real good. I would recommend if anyone go on any excursion go throw the resort only. In the future we would go back to secret resort. Now for the room my Jacuzzi had and jet broken and the next day we went to guest service and ask if we can get it fix. No one came up to fix it at all. I would like to relax in it like I do at home. There a few others things happen this is why they got and 4 star.. no mean no

It's still early in our stay but this is a great resort. We're currently enjoying the nighttime entertainment.

Just arrived back home from a 7 day stay at this resort. We Really enjoyed our vacation. The beach was absolutely amazing. Clean, very pretty and lots of activities if you choose. No complaints about the preferred club.. Except the preferred lounge was very small. The food was pretty good- there were many restaurant selections to choose from between both secrets and now. The nightly entertainment could improve a little. Was a little boring- the Staff were awesome, very friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed the spa one of the days however, prices are a little expensive. The massages on the beach were absolutely amazing. Both me and my spouse end up having a massage 2 days in a row. Those ladies were great! :)
The only negative feedback that I would comment on would be the toilets in the rooms .. They would not flush properly!! We had to call room service 3-4 times out of a 7 day stay to get a plumber to fix the toilet. This is a huge problem that needs to be corrected ASAP---And as a suggestion I would recommend that you get more English channels for the tv. All in all we had a wonderful time! Thank you Secrets!

Great resort! The staff goes out of their way to make you feel like family. The food was very good and the grounds are beautiful. It is windy in February but still warm enough to swim in ocean. A great vacation!!

A very nice hotel area with a fantastic entertainment program. The service is outstanding, with a well trained friendly staff. The buffet is delicious and varied. Otherwise, different restaurants offer variety. The beach is gorgeous and clean. The water invites you to swim. All in all, this filing is highly recommended.

We have not stayed there yet but have been to punta Cana. We were a little apprehensive in booking with secrets. We are loyal Gran Bahia guests. We are hoping this is as good as our last visit.

The staff was wonderful. The resort looks like paradise. The food was okay. I recommend staying away from the beef.

The staff was very nice. Great beach location. Everyone spoke great Engliah. The food is good, but not great. Breakfast at La Riviera was the best there. Very relaxing place.

The food and hospitality were top notch. Would absolutely go back to this resort again on our next trip to punta cana!

Great staff even do they re understaffed. Selected this place after not being able to travel to Jamaica for my Honeymoon due to new government guidelines and restrictions. The original plan was to go to the Excellence Resort & Spa at Oyster Bay. They try to do the best they can. Ok I rated it a one star for the following reasons Had a VIP they call it (Prestige) reservation arrived at the resort about 3:15pm didn t get into my romantic honeymoon suite until about 5:30pm. They kept telling me the honeymoon suite wasn t ready. Restaurants had a very limited menu and the room service menu as well. The first day I ordered room service everything I ordered that was on their menu they didn t have it, ended up ordering something awful selections and options were very limited. How can you not have pizza or wings. Come on! Room was ok didn t have much privacy. The drinks were ok depending on the bar and bartenders it was a hit or miss type of deal. The Romantic Ocean Front Romantic Dinner is a must it s worth every penny. The best meal I had the resort hands down! Some waitresses had an attitude due to being overworked and understaffed. The result bad customer service. I can go on and on but I rather keep it as briefed as possible. Definitely not a resort I will visit again.

Beautiful resort, we have used Secrets in the past and have never been disappointed. The staff has always been great. Language barriers have never been an issue. Food and buffets are on point. Adults only still allows for you to visit the family resorts on either side and watch shows and use of facilities such as bowling amongst other things as well as casinos. I suggest using the resorts to book any excursions. Reason being, resorts only use & book tours and activities that are as much as they can verify, safe. They wont recommend activities & food not up to par with their highest safety and food quality. That's my take...Enoy!

Had an amazing time! We stayed in the preferred club area, our Butler Marcelo was absolutely the best. I can not say enough how awesome he was with everything we needed, and taking care of us. The staff was really friendly and helpful. All of the restaurants have amazing food. The resort was very clean, and the beach was kept spotless by staff.

Resort is beautiful, people are super friendly! We did adults only, all inclusive, prefferred club, with butler service, master ocean view suite. Only complaint/criticism was first two nights they did not have a master suite available due to roof repair. Had some issues with AC not working well, fridge not working well, and wifi not working one day, once all that was fixed it was perfect. Food was good at all restaurants. We will be using secrets again on our next vacation.

We visited Secrets Royal Beach in January 2013 and loved every minute of it! Service was amazing, the beach was immaculate and the food and drink was perfect.

A Clean, safe, and centrally located hotel with excellent service!! Secrets has two sister hotels on either side that offer a variety of dinning experiences.

The Hotel and the resort is good. It is a kid's friendly facility, not too much variety of restaurant but their main buffet restaurant is very good. It has different types of food and they are delicious. Beach is nice and clean, the pool area is also good. They have a fair entertainment program every day. We had some small issue for room cleaning and also they assign lots of amenities to their members and we didn't have access to them except if pay alot more. It was my 1st time in Punta Cana but I realized the personnel cannot speak English well and we had come communication issue too.

Great all inclusive resort.. If going definitely get the preferred club. The partial ocean view rooms are not worth the extra expense.

We stayed in this hotel for 7 days with a family of 6. This is by far the best 5 star all inclusive resort i have ever been to. The service quality is exceptional. It truly is. Everyone go out of their way to make the guests happy. Secrets Punta Cana has raised the bar so high that I don't think I can ever be happy with anywhere else's service.
To give you a little example I was standing at the bar looking at the ocean. I got two different staff members asking me if I need anything on two separate occasions. This is what I call being proactive in business and I know it is hard to implement it. I have been to at least to 9 other five-star hotels in Mexico, Cuba, DR, US and no other hotel offered such an excellent or better said EXCEPTIONAL service.
At the fourth day of my trip the concierge called my room to see if I have any concerns or complains, another proactive move that I really appreciated. Out of all 9 resorts I have been to only one had previously done so. These are little thing that matter and make your stay even more delightful. You find yourself welcome in this resort.
Great job management for running this place so meticulously.
and BRAVO to the staff for their excellent service. Tequila, Bryan, Eddy, Obama, and the rest of the entertainment group were awesome.
The bartenders were working hard to please everybody in the pool. Willy, Carlos and the rest of the group whose names i cannot recall make a lot of effort to make drinks in no time even at busy times in the pool and make it fun for everyone.
There was also a waiter in the buffet, Danielle, who is my favorite waiter. He is a bomb with lot of energy.
And what I really liked in the hotel was almost everyone spoke English. I have gone to two other resorts in Punta Cana and the majority of staff had great difficulty communicating in English.
The only area they could improve is the gym. The gym was too clustered because it was just too small. One day in the morning I found myself working out with 9 other people in the weight room which is very small. I had to literally wait standing for a couple of the guests to finish their set before I can pass through to get to the machine i wanted to use. Also the air ventilation in the cardio room was not the best. Same thing in the buffet where it sometimes got too hot during the day. A couple of days we were sweating while eating.
With all that being said I would 110% recommend this place to anyone who cares about quality, professionalism and great foods and drinks and of course one of the most beautiful beaches on earth!

We had a great time in this wonderful hotel with an exquisite treatment of all the staff, Rudy, Nelson ,, Aida, finally to mention some names of the staff, in each space the treatment is very good. We will have to go back.

One of the best resorts I've had the pleasure of staying at. I will most definitely refer all of my friends and family to this place. Love it.

In comparison to 2 other resorts I've stayed at in Dominican, this one is pretty decent. They don't always bring what you order via room service, the food is sub par, they play really loud music in the middle of the resort that goes until about 11. The resort does have a casino and a nightclub, which are both actually pretty good. The a la carte resteraunts have great food, but the buffet is not the best. 3 stars because the other two resorts I've stayed at in Dominican are better than this.

Tonight is my last night here after a 7 day vacation. This is the most amazing resort I have ever been too. Jefry,Rosa and Ana Louise at the lounge preferred bar, made us feel like family. I have never been treated so amazing in my entire life. They spoiled my husband and I with endless drinks and constantly made sure we were okay and comfortable. The employees at sea side remembered my husband and I each day and greeted us with he biggest smile and endless good service. Our room was spotless and perfected each day by the awesome room service. I cannot forget our butler Garcia who treated us so.wondefulky she even remembered my birthday and made me feel soooo special. Overall, we will be back. We will recommend this resort to friends and family and I do hope we can return. It is my hope that Jefry, Rosa , Ana Louise and Garcia will be treated like we were one day on a vacation themselves that they deserve. They work so hard to make everyone feel so special.

First experience at an all inclusive resort, and that aspect of it is exceptional. Anything you could possible need regarding food at drink at any hour is provided. Being at the resort is a bit like being in a gilded cage, and isolated from what feels like the "real" Dominican Republic The food is fancy by Mid-Western standards, but those who live on the west coast or in "foodie" culture will be disappointed. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, advertised as "suites" but not really two separate spaces.
Also be advised that there is no physical barrier between the Adults Only Secrets side and the family-oriented Larimar side. Those older folks wishing to take an afternoon nap will likely be woken up by the 3pm Foam Party blasting pop music from Larimar.

More signage to navigate throughout the resort would definitely be helpful; and while all the staff there speak limited english, a knowledge of Spanish will go much farther should you wish to communicate.

Great hotel (adults hotel ...) with a beautiful outdoor area and a large pool. Modern (certainly a bit worn ..) but nicely decorated and tidy. Had a great view of the sea. The hotel is not crowded, here you can spend a nice time. Beach gorgeous, spacious and above all clean. Food fresh, varied and delicious. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again at any time.

I was very impressed with how clean the Resort & beach were. The staff was amazingly friendly, the food amazing and the daytime & nighttime entertainment was fantastic!!
The only thing I was not a fan of ( at all) was the pressure upon arriving to meet the next morning for breakfast which turned out to be some 90 minute presentation.
I was there on vacation, to be on the beach etc not stuck in a room for 90 minutes listening to some up selling presentation.
We politely declined, but it took another 5 minutes to get away from Freddy & Jacquelyn and her on with our day. Don t get me wrong/ they have a job to do and both are very kind, I just do not like pressure sales talk - especially while on vacation
This was my first time at an all-inclusive resort, so maybe that s all part of the welcome package , but that s not my cup of tea.
I would definitely go back again, and certainly hope I get the opportunity to - but I ll be more prepared for the high pressure gig and cut it off at the get go next time and enjoy my stay at a 5 star level

Outstanding resort. Things were a bit limited by COVID but they did a great job making it the best possible. Amazing pools and beautiful grounds and wonderful beach. The staff are all so interested in helping. It was the staff that elevated my rating to five. Food was just ok, don't expect much at the main cafeteria. Restaurants where better but still not great.

Wonderful. Immaculate. Great food! Friendly and professional staff. The downside is that it was quite windy the entire time we were there so it was a bit of a challenge to paddleboard (which were free to use for guests).

I got a bacterial infection from a dirty hot tub on our balcony and the horrific on site doctor tried to forge information on medical forms because I wouldn t sign saying I agreed that I had an allergy. She told me if I wouldn t pay to be taken to an offsite hospital and given injections paid for by me (adding an extra day to my trip without reimbursement) then i had to sign a form she wrote all in Spanish and I wasn t allowed to write a note saying i disagreed with her diagnosis. I have a painful case of bacterial hot tub rash on my entire body as well as a fever and throat infection where it s spread to my lymph nodes. This is after my boyfriend broke his toe on a loose door stop and they claimed he couldn t see the doctor because we gave you a lobster dinner so you ve been compensated . It took them three days to clean the blood off the floor, they wouldn t clean the hot tub after I informed them about my rash, and we met four people who ALSO got food poisoning from the terrible lobster dinner. Weak drinks, bad food, a beach covered in seaweed because they allow far too many boats for water excursions to speed through the area (we checked out several other beaches and none of them are experiencing this problem, plus the signs they have up about the department or environment saying it s because of global warming are lies - when I contacted them they had no idea what I was talking about), and a staff that will do anything to up a sale. Why am I being disturbed on the beach and pushed to purchase spa packages? THREE TIMES IN AN HOUR. Why was I told to participate in a 90 min breakfast for $200 in leisure credits when it ended up being a THREE HOUR meeting we got $100 in credits for. Being told the credits could
Be combined was a lie. Being told they could
Be used at the casino was a lie. Being told they could be used at the gift shop was half true - if
You don t use it all at once you get nothing back. When we checked out we told the staff the trip was horrible and I explained how my rash was being ignored and no one bothered to consult me after the doctor literally pushed my injured boyfriend to try and get papers back with my signature on them (she stated quite obviously she would forge them). She said that s too bad and that was it. We sat for over an hour in the lobby waiting for our bus to the airport and NO ONE said a word to us. Not even our personal concierge bothered to ask us anything at all. Once he stops getting points for our resort actions he didn t care. I had to go to the ER last night and now i have to make another trip to the doctor today because of how bad the bacteria has spread. Has Secrets or AMResorts said ANYTHING? Nope. Not a word. This wasn t my first experience with these properties but it will definitely be the last and I ll be pursuing legal action to be compensated seeing as how they have no interest in being decent human beings.

Relaxing with great food & fun! Plus, our room was GOREGEOUS. So was the beach! Sales pitch at the start was annoying since it's a vacation. But once I said thanks but no thanks to a 30-90 min breakfast/presentation, the staff was respectful and polite. I would definitely return .

My Mom & usually stay at Secrets Cap Cana however, we wanted to try Secrets Punta Cana since the price was much more reasonable during our stay in March 2019. This review was way overdue. I first want to thank the staff members for making our stay so pleasant. I ll review my personal experience & encounters with the staff members.
1. I love love the service in the spa & fitness area. I went daily to the spa and we had an awesome experience.
The spa was very clean, very well kept & the spa assistants hospitality was outstanding! I highly recommend a visit to the spa. I loved the mint scent inside the sauna!
I did have an incident.. my big straw hat was stolen from the changing area in the spa women s lounge.. it was another guest form the Now Larimar facility. I personally confronted the girls that took it. The staff at Secrets were very concern with the situation they all did whatever was in their power to look for my hat since I have a medical condition that makes me sensitive to the sun. They all felt bad, long story short.. Daniela Fernandez, (front lobby consigliere) got my hat since it was returned at the women s lounge in the spa by the Lamar guest.
While my mom an I were having dinner, before Daniela went home that same day..she made it a point to return my hat. It s not the value of the hat, it s the principle. All the employees were super supportive & truly felt bad that my hat was missing.
I got a daily call from Daniela after that to make sure my mom and I were having a great time which we did have an awesome time! I truly appreciate Daniela Fernandez s hospitality, she is an amazing staff. We loved our room decorations on our last night at Secrets!
2. We were checked in by Alejando he was very nice & gave us a nicer room close to the gym & beach which made my stay much better since my mom is 81 years old. I wanted to be a bit closer to beach.
Beach area:
At the beach we got a palapa on a daily basis awesome bartenders/ beach attendants always willing to make our beach day extra special.
3. Restaurants:
I loved, loved the Hibachi restaurant the food & service was phenomenal we went 2 times from our week visit.
The Italian, Portofino was also amazing Wanda (host) always got me a table even when I forgot to make reservations. Outstanding service.
Jose- outside bartender at the portofino restaurant made the best mojito ever! He is a friendly person. Always in a good mood. He also played awesome music he had on great salsa songs .
4. Francis & Eduard the wine connoisseurs provided outstanding service too. We enjoy our dinner at Oceans too.
We ate breakfast & lunch at the buffet witch was always delicious & great service. My omelette chef , had my eggs exactly how I liked them on a daily basis.
5. The nightly shows were very nice too. The dancer & animators Nani and Maria Elim were fun to talk too, very friendly! I do need to remind people traveling to Dominican Republic always bring $1 single bills, these staff members do not make much income therefore, all inclusive does not mean tip included.. if you tip in the US also tip in the islands!
I plan to go back to this Secrets in August with my husband this time. Hoping to get the same outstanding service as this trip!

I just came back from a week stay at Secrets Royal beach Puta Cana and the expirence was amazing. Our room was steps away from the lazy river, the views were astonishing and the food and drink options were never ending. Overall the trip was one of the best I ve ever taken but the true shining star was the staff. While all were friendly and attentive, Angel, the pool side drink server, really stood out. His speed and service were remarkable and his friendly personality really made our stay special. Great work and we are deffinitly returning!

Loved this place. I will admit some of the restaurants are just so so. But a couple are really good. Plus you can use the restaurants of the resort next to it. I really liked the Italian restaurant at Now Lamar.

Staff was very courtious and helpfull. The grounds are very well kept. This is an adults only resort. Their sister resort, Now Lamar is for families.

booked a king bed in secrets, they overbooked sent us to now. never got back over to secrets after asking everyday for a room back with our party of 6. even if youre booking with a party remeber they can send you to the kids resort if the adult resort is overbooked. we told 4 different people about the Wasp nest in our balcony and it was still there when we left. Now is a whole different resort so you have to travel back and fourth. on top of it our other members of our party got upgraded rooms and we got sent to Now. They gave us preferred alcohol but ran out of the top shelf almost everyday. whats the point of having preferred it if they say they will be refilled the next day. Preferred lobby Jonathan, henry, liliana, apolina, antoine were amazing hosts. we felt like we got the bait and switch when we arrived and disappointed.

Very nice and attentive staff. The place is beautiful! Right on the beach, all excursions available. All around great place.

La Riviera the meat and potatoes were very hard. Lunch started out bad.
