I live in walking distance to this ER/Hospital..Ho...
I live in walking distance to this ER/Hospital..However, when im sick i do not mind driving to CMC Concord.Today, I was in a lot of pain and lower left back..I am in poor health with maybe (2 years ) or a little longer to live. I have a history of kidney stones, and have been hospitalized several times in the past year. again, I have A LOT of health problems so i am seen at the ER quite often. single male, no medicaid, no insurance, awaiting disability. Went to this ER, in Triage, was seen by a NP Joseph Sandusky . VERY rude and condescending. Told me, : "You have been at this ER multiple times in the past year, most recent a few weeks ago.."I told him I have severe pain in lower left back and have ( among other things) a history of pancreatitis, Kidney stones, UTI's and this feels just like kidney stones ( I was crying in pain )..He stated, "WE HAVE NEVER DIAGNOSED YOU WITH KIDNEY STONES". I informed him I was seen their for that problem as well, CMC hospital admitance for pancreatitis and galbladder and this feels the exact same way. I told him they usually do an ultrasound, blood labs to check my Lipase levels etc.. he then told me, without checking me over. "you have a pulled muscle in back, ill give you flexril muscle relaxer, have a good day"..I wasnt their everybit of 15 minutes, basically refused to properly diagnose me, and he is QUICK to use her personal oppinion of someone vs reading their history, medical issues, prior diagnostics..HORRIBLE experience. Upon leaving, you are then sent to the registration window where they ask for your insurance , etc etc. I told the lady I had no insurance, no medicaid. She informed me their was a $75 copay due at time of services. I then informed her that the Doctor wouldnt get $1.00 from me, he didnt do nothing. No wonder I read an article when searching for reviews of Novant health ER Rowan regional which stated, this hospital has had so many complaints, they are facing losing funding..google novant rowan regional complaints funding, you'll find the article. when I moved to Salisbury, EVERYONE told me, " dont go to Rowan Regional" it's a bandaid hospital and many times, even Rowan regional ( NOVANT ) will send their own patients to CMC NE Concord.
