Excellent dermatologists and esthetician. I was able to get an appointment quickly for a skin issue. I am very impressed with Emily Dionne, LME who helped me with skin care. She also offers informative videos regarding skin care.

Zero stars, worst customer service ever. After waiting over an hour for our appointment we were given 1 choice and left with a crying child. Then I received a bill, paid it, and got another charge that no one could explain after several attempts. I tried several times to find out what this add l charge was for and no one could explain it. I then received a bill from a credit agency. After a few more conversations where they admitted fault, then said I own more than the bill, and finally said their system is down, I still can t get an answer on the nature of the bill (fraud??) The office manager refuses to call me back after several days and they refuse to let the credit bureau know this is under investigation. On my last call, I was spoken to in a rude manor. This is the worst customer service I have every experienced. I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially for children.

Dr. V Patel and his staff are great - very friendly and we have never had to wait more than about 10 minutes. Dr. Patel is up on the latest research and is extremely knowledgeable - giving his patients full explanations that make sense to non-medical people. He spends plenty of time with each patient to make sure all questions are answered. He also tailors his treatment depending on the patients and what makes sense. For example, teens boys are less likely to follow a multi-step acne regimen than teen girls so he prescribes products like medicated wipes for them to use. I have had skin cancer 3 times and he is appropriately conservative in my treatment. We cannot recommend North Carolina Dermatology Associates highly enough!

Call the office to see if we could get an urgent appointment because of the rash my son had developed. The receptionist was to reluctant to even consider the appointment. I was told that on Fridays they usually leave around four in the afternoon.

I found a very fast growing lesion on my leg, so of course I was very concerned and called the North Carolina Dermatology Associates (Google search). No one answered the phone and I was transferred into a voice mail system. 3 hours later someone called me back. I had already scheduled with an office where they actually answer the phone. Really poor way to run an office.
'We care so much about you, we won't answer the phone." "We'll try and get back to you when it's good for us."

I first went to Dr. Ju with an itchy underarm rash. Her first approach was to do Botox to freeze the sweat glad. My primary doc said it was fungal, but I trusted Dr. Ju and moved forward with the Botox. Turns out, Botox didn t work and just cost me a pretty penny. Then, Dr. Ju did a biopsy (not sure why that was not done first) and found out that it was indeed fungal. She gave me oral dose and it eventually went away, but came back 8months later. At that time, I found out that she didn t run a sensitivity test as part of the biopsy to essentially determine which drug would react best to fungi. They said she likely didn t think it was fungal when she did the biopsy, which I m frustrated about since that s what I told her it was the entire time. Now I m trying a different drug as a guess and test game and if it doesn t work, I will have to get another Biopsy to run test she didn t do the first time. I m disappointed because it shouldn t cost a patient $1000 to treat a fungal infection on top of Botox and potentially two biopsies (all of which aren t pain-free procedures in your underarm). I would recommend going to the other two docs or looking elsewhere for your dermatology needs.

I've been seeing Dr Patel at NCDA for 4 years now and have had a great experience. The staff is always very professional, kind, and responsive. If you're looking for a new dermatologist, definitely consider NCDA. Of all the dermatologists I've seen, this is easily one of the top (if not THE top) places on my list.

I have had great experiences with this office. The staff is helpful and I didn't wait long for my appointment. I had an appointment with Emily the Aesthetician for the first time. She was wonderful. Gave me so much information and was very patient while I asked my many questions. I also never felt pressured by her to buy the office products. I highly recommend this office for all dermatology needs.

Very courteous staff. Dr. Ju is wonderful. Unfortunately, there is a lack of communication between the doctors and the receptionists that schedule the appointments. My appointment was not scheduled correctly and was almost not honored. Thankfully Dr. Ju made it right, but I am nervous to schedule future appointments here.

Not sure why ncda skin facility in Brier Creek NC is slacking....I have called numerous times and left detailed messages just to obtain my test results and so far no one has called me back(I must say the 1 time I did call, the medical asst. I spoke took my info and I have yet to hear anything)....this is ridiculous.....My initial and only visit so far was 3/2/15, I had lab testing done on 3/7/15, now here it is 3/27/15(left another message) and still have no lab results...if the doctor is so damn busy then he needs to hire another person/ or join(partnership) with another doctor in order to bring his practice to flow better and follow thru accordingly........Mr. Patel (not worthy of being referred to as Doctor right now with me)..someone in your office OR YOU need to contact me ASAP and provide me with my medical information as I have requested numerous times....I am not one who leaves nasty reviews or any reviews for that matter but when I notice that my requests are not being addressed then I feel I need to let you and/or your staff (for whom ever is dropping the ball and not doing their job) know/ and be made of aware.
As you are very much aware that one of the BEST REFERRALS are word of mouth referrals, so if you want your business to continue to prosper and existing client to continue doing business with you then step up and execute....so when you or your staff member EVER contact me with my results, don't give me no sob excuse or story, nor any lame apologizes on why its taking sooooooo long to get back to me....so until then I can only give 2 stars( based on post services)

This was my first appointment with them. I was referred by another Doctor. I met with Dr. My and I LOVE her.. She is so pleasant, easy to talk to, and listens to you. You don't feel hurried by her. She was very thorough and actually looked at a spot on my face that I hadn't come in for and found by-opsyed it and its skin Cancer. I wouldn't have known if she hadn't been so thorough. Front office staff are very nice as well.

Dr. Elizabeth Ju explained my condition very well and provided a course of treatment that worked! (I had been itching for 5 1/2 months and had spent three visits with two other doctors before seeing Dr. Ju.) I learned much more from Dr. Ju than I had from previous dermatologists. She was a caring and patient listener.

Came 30 minutes earlier than my scheduled appointment with dr. Patel, and I stayed in the waiting room for 35 minutes AFTER my scheduled appointment.
Literally every single patient in the waiting room was seen and 4-5 new patients who came after me (after my scheduled appointment) were are seen and went home while i was still waiting !!
I had to leave work early and i had buisiness meetings after the appointment, my day was ruined.
I came early to make sure that i m seen atleast AT my original appointment, this is very unproffessional.

Dr Ju seemed knowledgeable and professional during my first appointment, but I did get a slight feeling she was trying to sell cosmetic services for my acne issue. I had been stable on a treatment for hormonal acne for 4 years prior to seeing Dr Ju, and she had no issue continuing my prescribed therapy during my initial visit. Upon arriving for my second appointment, she refused to continue the therapy at the recommended dose, and advised me she would be lowering the dose and then discontinuing therapy, because drugs that affect your hormones are not healthy for long term treatment. I addressed concern, and admittedly became defensive I had been stable for years and happy with the therapy. She refused to discuss the concern or objection that I had with her decision. There are multiple issues with this first being, she is failing to practice using evidence-based medicine. There is ABSOLUTELY no scientific basis for her assumption that long term treatment with spironolactone has any adverse health effects. In fact, there is little research to substantiate her view, except for an article which took results of another study out of context and drew incorrect conclusions. Additionally, long term treatment of hormones is actually pretty normal for most adult women you know, in the form of birth control, which actually has proven negative health effects. I digress, I left that day upset. When asked to schedule my next appointment, I told the receptionist I would like to hold off, because I wasn t happy with how things went, and I would probably want to see one of the other doctors next time. Flash forward, after having my family care provider continue the therapy for a few months, I called to schedule an appointment for myself and my spouse. I figured I would give the other provider a chance, since the office seemed okay aside from Dr Ju. The receptionist told me that there is a note on my account, and she had to check to see if she could schedule me. She returned after several minutes, to tell me that they would not see me, and I had been discharged, or something similar to that. She said they sent me a letter, which I never received. She refused to explain further, and when I asked if I would be able to speak with the office manager, she said sure. Without telling me, she sent me to voicemail. Completely unprofessional. The entire situation is unethical dismiss a patient from your practice for asking for a reason to why they are changing a perfectly effective and safe treatment, without offering a recommendation for another provider? I would recommend Dr Ju get some C.E. credit on evidence-based medicine and bedside manner. Maybe gain some interpersonal skills.

1. On calling the office to schedule an appointment, I noticed the receptionist spoke broken English, and had a hard time waiting for me to finish speaking.

2. I arrived 25 minutes before my appointment, and was not seen until 20 minutes after my time, classically watching patients that arrive after me leave before I've even left the waiting room.

3. I knew what was wrong, and asked for a specific treatment that has worked for my family, which the doctor promptly denied. She instead "prescribed" some unrelated product, not even medication, that I have to have mailed to me to treat a BACTERIAL INFECTION.

4. I say "prescribed" because she ticked a box on a pamphlet and told me to have a nice day.

5. The infection has grown worse to the point where I can not work a full shift... Expected from applying such a product to a bacterial infection (Just give my my antibiotics I asked for).

6. The doctor was obviously grossed out by the area of my body the infection lies in. Don't be a dermatologist if external anatomy of any sort is gross to you.

7. Maybe the worst of all, turns out the office did not send my insurance information along with the notification of my prescription to the pharma company. This led to the request being ignored. I am a week past my appt., and will now wait up to 2 more weeks to receive my redundant, mail-order glorified baby wipes.

8. Upon calling to try and sort through these issues, I was met with an unprofessional tone, and the person on the other end even told me that what I had was not a bacterial infection... 5 seconds ... "Oh wait, it is. No, I don't know why there isn't an antibiotic listed... hmm have a nice day, CLICK."

OVERALL: The staff here are not listening to a word you are saying. The placement of profit over health is baffling to me. If a patient knows what is wrong and this diagnosis is preferred, at least some weight should be placed on the wishes of the patient, not the pharma rep you have to keep happy. Unprofessional in every sense, from phone to front desk to doctor, and don't even get me started on personal treatment or record keeping.

I have a mixed review based on several visits I had. I met with Dr. Patel. He is very professional and knowledgeable. However, I don't like they always want me to use a pharmacy in Virginia called Loudoun Family Pharmacy. No one ever picks my phone call there, and it is very hard to get my refill. I'm wondering if this doctor has any kind of agreement with this pharmacy.

I was referred to North Carolina Dermatology Associates and Dr. Ju recently to have my annual mole check and was very impressed. While there I brought up having some adult acne issues and she took extra time to diagnose what was going on and put me on a pathway to a clear face, even though I was there for another concern. She was patient, friendly, attentive and sincere. Truly, a delightful visit! I cannot speak of my experience highly enough. Front staff were approachable and kind as well.

Dr. Patel is a good doctor, but his front office s...

Dr. Patel is a good doctor, but his front office staff/operation need serious improvement. Because of this, unfortunately I'm switching practices for these three reasons. I'm writing this in hopes of Dr. Patel making some changes for the sake of others.

1.) COVID safety. I did not feel safe during check in. Counted 12 adults and 4 kids all standing in a small waiting room. I only felt comfortable waiting in the building lobby area (outside of the practice). They handed me an iPad to sign in with, did not look to be sanitized, and confirmed that be seeing the same iPad being given to the next patient in line (no attempt to wipe it down). Need to do better on wait times...with no chairs in the lobby, why not have folks wait in their cars?

2.) They have refused to waive my $25 "no show fee" for not coming to the office in April this year, at the height of the lock-down. They said we called you and you never got back to us, which I dispute. I never set this appt. in the first place, it was "auto set" based on a recommended Dr. follow-up. Recently, they have a text appt. reminder system that is a lot better.

3.) Front staff were rude and dressed inappropriately. When I asked to speak to the manager, the front office staff went to get her and then came back to say she can't speak to me. I have a friend to confirm the same, his experience, front office staff needs customer service training. Them seem miserable generally. Honestly felt better service at the DMV.

No one ever answers the phone here. I have been trying to get in touch with someone, ANYONE from the office that is capable of scheduling a consult. I was interested in the subcision treatment, which is not performed at very many places in the state ... so being that they are careless with professionalism, answering phones, scheduling appointments, I would recommend that you seek another business to hand your money over to.

WORST COSTUMER SERVICE!

WORST COSTUMER SERVICE!
I went there this morning, and I did not bring my physical insurance card. My husband asked if we could email them a copy and we were told they do not have email.?. Look, I understand that it is the office policy to have the physical card so that it s not what bothers me however, there is no reason to be rude to potential customer. The rudeness of the front desk associate since we arrived was astonishing. I had no problem on coming back when my insurance send me the physical insurance card, but after that I have no intention on coming back. I already was able to schedule an appointment on the same day with another dermatologist. Guess what? They have email!!
The only reason I do not give less stars is because my husband is a costumer and we know how good the doctors there are!
Sadly their front desk gives the opposite impression.

As far as I'm concerned, the best doctor visit I've had. In September of 2017 I had an early morning appointment. I waited in the waiting room for over 2 hours for a follow-up exam. I finally had to reschedule all my morning meetings. When I got in too see the dermatologist, the appointment took 10 minutes at most. He asked why I had waited so long and the nurse said there was a front desk error.

When I went to pay, I let them know how displeased I was with their mistake and felt that I should be compensated for my wait. Any other service establishment would take care of customers that were unsatisfied by mistakes made on the establishments part. After talking to the Office Manager, she agreed that they would take care of my outstanding costs and I left as a satisfied customer.

6 months later, I received a bill for the appointment. I called to find out why I was billed and I asked to speak to the Office Manager. She was busy at the moment and the attendant said she would call me back. I have since received another bill ever 60 days and have made 2 more calls. Still no call back.

It is ridiculous that these offices get to charge hundreds of dollars for appointments regardless of services rendered on behalf of the doctor and the office. I will never go back and I would hope more people expect the same level of services as they would for a fine dining restaurant.

The fact that they said they would take care of the costs and turned around to bill me was disgraceful.

I had an appointment with the North Carolina Dermatology Associates office and I am extremely displeased with this office. I was not treated by a physician or anyone, was referred to another doctor AND was charged a $80. co-pay just to be referred. I called multiply times to discuss this with the office manager, finally spoke with the Michelle, the office manager who was not the friendliest. Michelle stated it was documented that I was evaluated which I was not. There is no real way to dispute this so I paid $80 for this office to tell me to go see another doctor. I would not recommend this office if you are not certain they are able to treat your condition. I wish I would have read the other reviews before selecting this office. Maybe my review would save someone some time and money.

I had a wonderful experience. I saw Dr Vikas. He is a wonderful person and doctor.

But management is poor.
I wanted to schedule an appointment, I called 10 times no one ever picked the phone. After several days they called me back for scheduling appointment and the lady who called me. Said you will receive the confirmation message/email of appointment which I never received. She said you need to come with some paper work pre-filled and told me wrong website address which I eventually sort out with correct address after some googling.

On day of visit they created my patient account. I received email for that. To register my account using the link I was never able to create my account. It gave error wrong information. I asked her about the problem. She said they do not know she will ask to management, I never heard back.
