I first went to Dr. Ju with an itchy underarm rash. Her first approach was to do Botox to freeze the sweat glad. My primary doc said it was fungal, but I trusted Dr. Ju and moved forward with the Botox. Turns out, Botox didn t work and just cost me a pretty penny. Then, Dr. Ju did a biopsy (not sure why that was not done first) and found out that it was indeed fungal. She gave me oral dose and it eventually went away, but came back 8months later. At that time, I found out that she didn t run a sensitivity test as part of the biopsy to essentially determine which drug would react best to fungi. They said she likely didn t think it was fungal when she did the biopsy, which I m frustrated about since that s what I told her it was the entire time. Now I m trying a different drug as a guess and test game and if it doesn t work, I will have to get another Biopsy to run test she didn t do the first time. I m disappointed because it shouldn t cost a patient $1000 to treat a fungal infection on top of Botox and potentially two biopsies (all of which aren t pain-free procedures in your underarm). I would recommend going to the other two docs or looking elsewhere for your dermatology needs.
