North Carolina Dermatology Associates Review

I saw Dr. Patel for a couple of minor skin issues. He was very nice and charming. I ask him about the out-of-pocket expense with my Blue Cross and Blue Shield insurance. He told me it would be $175. I paid that day. I was later we billed an additional $125. I called to ask the billing specialist why was I charged an additional amount. I ask if Dr. Patel was unaware of the charges in his own office. She was unable to give me an answer, When I asked what question should I have asked beyond what will be my out-of-pocket expense. She was unable to give me the question I should ve asked other than what will my out-of-pocket expense be. I asked to speak with the physician who saw me because the billing specialist Shiquita Wilson was unable. She said she would leave a request for the physician to call me. That call never came. The lesson is clearly if they tell you your out-of-pocket expense you could expect it to more than double. There is no way to get an honest answer from this office.

Dr Patel was able to handle a tricky situation over a course of time that has allowed everything to heal with minimal scarring and was very thorough in the process. His patience is very much appreciated and I d recommend him 100% to anyone. If you want a doctor that truly cares for his patients, he s your guy.

From the first phone call to make the appointment to the last session with Dr Ju, I was never disappointed. I have been working with anorher dermatology group for over 6 months and there was no change to my condition. When I first met Dr. Ju, she took the time to listen, discuss various treatment options, collaborate with her partner and other experts to see what else could be done. Her communication style is open with compassion and professionalism. Dr. Ju is highlly educated, published and respected in her field. I recommend Dr. Ju and NCDA to anyone who needs expert care.

My doctor is Mr Vikas Patel and I am 100% happy and satisfied with the Treatment given.

For starters, waiting room is comfortable and quiet, with classical music! Much better than typical office TV that it's hard to get away from or tune out. Dr. Ju is both professional and personable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to a friend or associate, and already have done so many times.

Rude customer service reception people, they are arrogant and talk down to people. They wanted to charge 2 bucks for a face mask !
They make plenty of money here, masks should be free !

Excellent care at NCDA. Dr. Patel takes his time and explains things through my visit, communication is great. The front office is always accomadating. Also, NCDA helped with arranging for a pharmacy that provided a discount for my prescription. My typical pharmacy was significantly more money. I recommend using NCDA.

Dr. Ju and the whole staff were wonderful! She took the time to understand my issues and took great care of me. I can't believe they fit me in on such short notice. I used to wait at least a month to see my old doctor. I will definitely be back to see her and will happily recommend her to my friends.

Smooth and wonderful experience with Dr. Ju and her staff. I went in for a skin exam and left with two concerning moles removed. They had me feeling very comfortable through out the procedure. Waiting for biopsy results to come back

Dr. Ju caught my moms early stage melanoma during a routine skin check and quickly made the appropriate referral for treatment.

Patient centered quality care is lacking. The doctor barely looked at me and barely spoke to me. He was busy directly addressing his assistant. I was not directly addressed most of the time and I found that the doctor and the assistant had on many occasions digressed and were talking about other things.

They were very professional and friendly. I was in and out in 25 minutes.

I love the providers at this practice but making an appointment is literally impossible. I am considering switching practices because I cannot ever get anyone to pickup, answer patient portal requests, or reply to voicemails. I have never had so many issues with making appointments.
