I like going here for oil changes an estimates etc. The prices are better then other dealers and everyone here seems to be friendly, knowledgable and overall good costumer service. No issues by far. I'm sure car buying would be great, I browsed and test drove a vehicle once. The staff over the phone in reguards to service and other depts are awesome. I come here from Baytown. They work to get me in and out as fast as they can.

My tire pressure sensors stopped working after putting new wheels and tires on my truck. I stopped in, they saw me within 5 minutes, reset the sensors, and I was on my way without paying a dime. I know what dealer I m going to when I need one.
Those guys were great. Called me to arrange the service, Had my vehicle ready when promised and were just all around accommodating. In fact, I have decided to have my routine services and oil changes done at Norman Frede from now on

The first thing I want to say is that TJ was my service advisor and this review in NO WAY reflects on him. He was excellent to me. He tried every avenue available to him to help me. I guess my issue is with the previous service advisors, the service department and the service technicians.
I have a 2015 Suburban that I took for a routine oil change and state inspection on June 4th. I was told my car wouldn't pass inspection because of the uneven wear on my tires. With 64,000 miles on my car I could see that I would probably be in need of a new set of tires BUT this would actually be the THIRD (yes THIRD) set of tires on this car. The original tires only lasted 30,000 miles because they said my car was out of alignment. Ok fine, we replaced the tires at a cost of approx. $1,100. What the service department FAILED to tell me was that the new tires came with a 75,000 mile tread warranty and an alignment for 2 or 4 wheels for free once a year. Had I known this, I would have made sure the Suburban was taken in for the alignment in a timely manner. At no time has the car "felt" out of alignment while driving since I purchased it. What makes me even MORE mad is that the Suburban has NEVER been anywhere else for service. Not even for an oil change. It's had all oil changes, tire rotations, front end balances etc. at Norman Frede service department and not ONE time has anyone checked for, noticed or suggested an alignment was needed for my tires. So, now Norman Frede says I need new tires at a cost of $700 or I won't pass inspection and I won't be able to get my registration for my car that's due this month. Then, an alignment for $125 on top of that I assume.
Tyler did try and get the tire manufacturer to consider a warranty claim but they wouldn't touch it due to the alignment not being done because I had no idea I needed one or had to have them done to keep the warranty.
My last oil change and YES, multi-point inspection was just performed at the end of March. The form they provided clearly shows that there is no need for an alignment. This is just a complete breakdown of the service that Norman Frede offers and is clearly an apparent act of deception if not to the threshold of just plain negligence on the part of the staff that were there at the time of my most recent tire purchase.
This is the second time that I have had issues with the past service staff, where either they flat out lied or just didn t share needed information with me as a loyal paying VIP customer. I am not willing to wait for the third experience to occur. Most businesses appreciate a loyal customer, apparently at Norman Frede it is just not the case. Since my loyalty is rewarded with fraud and deception, it may be time to take my business where it will be appreciated.
So, now what? I guess I'm stuck out another $700 minimum to keep my car & family safe on the road...???
Jared Gaspard was AWESOME! I came down to Houston from San Antonio, Tx to do some free lance work and to visit my mom and brother when, unfortunately my car completely broke down. Jared and Audrey little made what I thought impossible possible. Ms. Charice and Bradon were also a huge help. Charice has a very welcoming energy and kept me positive throughout the process. Brandon was also a huge help guiding me through the process of making sure I was comfortable with the equipment in the car. This place is AMAZING! I have been to other car lots before but, have never felt more comfortable and secure in buying a car until I came across this place.
I bought a used car in April, which had to be taken to service 3 times in less than 60 days. My car was in service for 10 days for a squeaking sound, loose seats and a massive leak in the back passenger floor, which was evidently fixed when I placed the car in service the first time because the leak never occurred again. Service called to notify me my car was ready, and when I picked it up, I could still hear the squeaking and there was a big bolt sticking out in the back seat where they repaired the back seats, when it was the front seats that were loose. I was charged $360, basically, for cleaning the carpet in the back where the leak was, which was not smelling or wet. The other two problems were fixed under warranty. To this day, my car is still squeaking and my front seats are still loose. I let them know, and I refuse to bring my car back to Norman Frede Chevrolet service department. I will just deal with the squeaking, which the service mechanic said he didn't hear, but I am able to hear it even with the radio turned up!
Took my car in to get a floater replaced, 2-3 hour job, and my recalls done. 8 hours later, only got a floater replaced and they told me to come back another day to get my safety recalls fixed. I had scheduled and appointment and they said themselves they didn't have much work to do that day.
Guess someone was lying along the way. I do not recommend this place.
I hv had a wonderful Experience since I purchased my car. I recommend all my friends and family to Norman Frede, I hv no idea If they ve gone Bc it is very far from where they love, but to me it is WORTH THE DRIVE
Very pleased with speedy service. 1st time ever in 5 years that I have owned my Camaro, Saturday was the first time that my vehicle was serviced within the hour. In the past I would schedule an appointment just to end up waiting about 3 hours, I am not exaggerating. But Saturday was different, exceptional service. Will return, no doubt.
Relaxed atmosphere Brett Barr took the time to explain everything to me. He was patient,informative and courteous. I took my 2014 silverado to get some work done and the dealership screw me over they did not check my truck before giving to me.. I took it for antifreeze leak and they mess it up more it misfire and even my a/c dont work and they even change the antifreeze.. They put green color and that not the color of antifreeze should be on GMC.. I paid over $2,000... I took over back but they try to chargr me more if they look at my truck.... I do not recommended this dealership because of the damage they did to my truck .... The mechanic let it worse .. I don't trust them to do work on my truck .. Now I have my truck in another mechanic shop and they found out that the gaskets are not put on right and it not sealing properly and it not even Freon on my A/C system.. It ridiculous the way they screw people over to get more money out of it I would like for corporate to contact me and show them what their people it doing in the dealership.. Even one of the guys of customer servicemen told me he even has his on shop and it a mechanic .. So if he it a mechanic why he it working there then....
I just want to thank the service department for helping me out in my time of need! I had to leave out of town in an emergency and they fit me right into their schedule to get me in and out so I could leave! Thank you

Just went in for oil change and tire rotation. Had time and NFC was able to fit me in within 15min of calling. Quick writeup by service desk when I arrived and fast turnaround on oil change and they perform a multi-point inspection as part of service (no issues found on my Suburban, but also no attempt at up-sale either, nice).
It is always a pleasure doing business with a company that actually show they care and take the time to actually listen to what you are looking for... Norman Frede Chevrolet went above and beyond recently in repairing my car. Even to the point of sending a driver to my house when they couldn't get in touch with me.
Service guy didn't call to let me know my truck was ready, luckily I got the right before closing and another guy was able to release my truck. He didn't seem happy to have to do this and when I mentioned the special I found online he acted like it was a big deal to use the coupon. I don't understand why he would act that way seeing as that isnt his money, also why didn't the first guy pass the info along about the special and then when I first mentioned the coupon he acted as if he didn't know it was there. The service guys should know and willing offer to perform the specials on the website otherwise why would yall run them? Ultimately will probably come back because of convenience but I wish the service guys treated me a little differently. "|"
I have had my oil changed there many times. Every time I remind them my truck has grease fittings that need greasing. A majority of times it is not done. This time was no different. The tech writer said it was in my file and that he had written it on the orders for the shop. As I paid for the work, he confirmed it had been done. I went to my truck and looked. No, it had not been done. They took the truck back to get it done and it was returned to me in minutes with the most visible fitting greased. There are 10 fittings and I d be willing to bet that only the ones I could see had actually been greased after I complained. This is shameful quality control and attention to detail.
I loved that Trevor in the service department kept me informed during the week that my Yukon was there for repairs .He even took the time to call me and let me know he would be off and who would be taking care of my service in his absence. When we went to the dealership we just went to look, we were not expecting to purchase anything. The Chevy Traverse I looked at online was the one we ended up leaving with. The manager and the sales associate really listened to my wants and budget. They worked the numbers to make sure we left happy. Everything I asked they found a way to do. I am very happy with my experience and I LOVE my Chevy Traverse.
mechanic checkEd 4 tires.all showed yellow but one tire is brand new purchased in jan after a flat. tire has less then 2000 miles,yellow! i don't think so. Therefore its hard to trust the checks made on the rest of the exam.you might check this out. surprised car wasnt washed. not busy. i was the only one waiting on sat. not the usual good experience. disappointed. had oil changed,tires rotated,new a/c filter installed in cabin, yearly inspection. i could do all this service at classic chev located 10 min from my house in galv.and not travel 55 miles r/t. m. tarman
Literally the best dealership ever. Omar Jimenez was a joy to talk with and shop with. He made everything simple and they were very flexible with my demands and needs. The other staff that also helped me (sorry I forgot your names) were also extremely kind, and accommodating.
I also had a trade in to give and they met my price point when I was hesitant about their first offer. They didn't hesitate to give me an extra $600 on the value to meet my offer, and then also gave me an extra $1000 off on my vehicle that I was purchasing. The price of the truck I got was also the lowest I could find in the Houston area with the same features as everyone else.
I've been to several dealerships over my life, and this is hands down the best one. They met all my needs and more. Do yourself a favor and go here FIRST if you need vehicle. I'll definitely be back here first if I ever need a new car.
I come to Norman Frede to trade in my vehicles every few years. The selection and customer service is outstanding! I just purchased a 2020 Equinox, I am very pleased with the updated features and how well it was all explained to me! They make the whole process very smooth. I have had interaction with every department over the years and never had an issue or met an unpleasant person!
As usual the service team was amazing and very helpful. Sometimes dealerships are just after the dollars but this company has stringent standards about customer service. My extended warranty is expired but I would rather come to Norman Frede then go any place else. Better value for the buck. Thank you guys!!!!

My experience was great! My Service Advisor, John Wright, ensured the maintenance services I requested were performed. John also noted that a couple of other items were needing attention and we added to the schedule. John notified me when the services were completed and I was on my way home!
BOB HOLCOMB was my salesman! Well, actually, I sold it to myself but I already knew what I wanted lol! I went through the Costco car buying service and got ~$300 off, and Bob did the rest! It was the easiest, most straightforward process I ever went through. Tonia Allen was my finance manager and she got me a really nice APR! I was so impressed with Patrick Wood as a salesman. He listened to everything I had to say, and never high pressured me into anything I didn't want. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous; something you don't find too much of today at Used Car Lots. When it came to the paperwork, Mr. Cotton stepped in and gave me the same courteous and friendly treatment. He explained each sheet of paper I signed and answered all my questions. Made an appointment for oil change and state inspection. Service was completed in 1.5 hours. Check in, check out, and service was very efficient, waiting room was clean, coffee was fresh and hot.
I contacted them about getting on the list for a 2020 Corvette. Overall a good experience, but they didn't give enough detail for me to make an informed decision
The good: Very quick and personal response (no automatic emailer) They are pricing them at MSRP (This is a great thing, they aren't taking advantage of their customers like many chevy dealers)
The bad: Couldn't give detailed info about what percentage of their allocation has been reserved. This is vital info if you want an early delivery.
Overall I feel they are very honest and forthcoming. I ended up going with a dealer in Dallas that could promise Q1 delivery, and for that reason alone.
Customer service here is amazing! My car stalled on me while I was running errands the other day, luckily not in the middle of the road though! I called Norman Frede Chevrolet and I spoke with Trever. He was extremely helpful and patient and walked me through the whole process while my car was being repaired. I was able to drop off my car after hours and pick it up at my convenience. Allan re-explained what happened to my car and made sure I understood what they did. They did recommend another service on my car, but were not pushy at all. It's hard to find someone you trust with your car nowadays, but I will definitely be back again!
I had a few bad experiences here but I did receive a call from the used car director and he assured me if I come see him next time he will make sure I am taken care of so thanks for that Norman frede!!
From the moment I walked into Norman Frede Chevrolet I felt comfortable. My Sales Guru Anthony Rosten took the time to listen to me and worked to get me the car that I have been looking for for 3 years at the price I was comfortable with.
There's a reason I avoid dealer service departments and Norman Frede Service is no different. Charge me $75 to tell me that the code I already ran for you would cost me $900 to get repaired except you couldn't provide the part, didn't know when you could get the part and offered no real resolution to the issue other than I can put the $75 towards repairs when they happen. $75 dollars and you can't even give me the part # with out me having to call back so that I can try and fix my dilemma? Your mileage may vary but as far as I can tell, this is one company that cares more about profits than customer service.
It was the worst experience I have ever had at a dealership. I will not be back. I called the day before to make an appointment and I was told they had an opening at 9:00. When I got to Norman Frede I was told 9:00 was not my appointment time but rather the time I could come get in line. I watched my truck sit on a lift untouched for 2 1/2 hours to change the oil. They are so cheap they filled my washer reservoir with water. I buy a 40k vehicle and they can't spring for 50 cents worth of washer fluid? It makes me wonder what other sub par stuff was done to my truck. It was a three ring circus and when I finally left my truck was in worse shape than when I arrived. I had to return to the dealership, get a refund for the front end alignment and go to Firestone. You will NEVER see me in Norman Frede Chevrolet service department again. You will never see me in a Chevrolet service department except for warranty work.
This encounter with Chevrolet service has totally tarnished my perception of Norman Frede and Chevrolet.
Friendly service managers. Was met when I parked my truck at service department. I was immediately helped and work was started. I have always had good service everytime I come in to Norman Frede.
I bought a car from them less than a year and a half ago, the salesman was extremely pushy. The real issue though is that the car breaks down all the time ever since I got it and they gave it a clean bill of health.
Norman Frede offers great service and inventory. You are treated like part of the family. I highly recommend giving this business a try. You will be very pleased with your decision.

Where do I begin?? From the get go, Chris Suddeth took awesome care of me. Tired and frustrated of the haggle with other dealerships in Houston, I called Norman Frede and Chris took the call. I explained what I was needing and he guaranteed me that driving south 30 min would not be a waste of my time. When I arrived he already had the trucks that fit my description. I loved the first truck I test drove. He and Brett Barr, the new car manager, put a really awesome deal together that I couldn't pass up. Waylon Mckenzie really put it over the top with the extras at such a good price. Audrey Wiggins in finance had me in and out in 20 min.....fastest closing ever! Awesome Awesome Awesome!! Easy 10 in my book!
