I had to take time off from work to have the safety recall on my keys done. they said they couldn't do this on a Saturday. Why couldn't I have just dropped the keys off one at a time instead of wasting 5 hours of vacation. It was a 15 minute job.

I needed new tires and an inspection. I had found a better deal at NTB and Norman Frede matched the price! I had just happened to have a $50.00 off services coupon, so I got a VERY good deal! I ended up getting my tires AND the inspection for cheaper than just the tires and installation at NTB! I love Norman Frede Chevrolet!

If I could give zero stars, I would. I purchased my vehicle from Norman Frede in 2016. Today I went in to have a window motor looked at. I wanted them to look at it and give me a quote before I agreed to let them fix it (knowing that it is more expensive at a dealership) but they told me that if they diagnosed it and I chose not to have it fixed, I would owe them $75 for a diagnostic fee. That is just terrible business practice, in my opinion. Someone should be able to get a quote for services needed and take it elsewhere if they so choose. I took it to a mechanic shop, they diagnosed it, told me how much it was going to be, and had it ready in less than 2 hours. I will not purchase a vehicle from Norman Frede in the future because of their service department.

Absolutely horrible experience here. I took my vehicle in to have a hood latch replaced. They wanted to charge $298.00 to fix it. I asked why it was so much and they said it takes at least two hours to do this work. I told them that I couldn't afford that it was more than double what the warranty company said it should be. I told them that I would come pick up my vehicle. I was then told that since they were not doing the repair that there would be an $80 diagnostic fee. Of course, that was not mentioned when I brought the vehicle for repair and told them that I was going to be using a warranty company. I will NEVER use this place again. I spoke with Firestone, Christian Bros Automotive, and Monument Chevrolet and was given a price of at least a $100 less from each place.
Frank Caceres and Suzanne Bonner were decidely unhelpful and even lied about what they told me.

Everything went great. Vehicle warranty did it's job. Only complaint would be that I left DEF fluid for them to use and they didn't use it. Instead they charged me for your DEF fluid which cost more than the stuff I already bought for home too use. Also it took quite a while for the service to be completed. They were kind of bad on communicating what was going on. They kept my vehicle for two nights.

My family had a positive experience here. In the end we did not purchase a vehicle here, but the customer service here was exemplary. Our salesman was Nathan. Nathan helped my daughter as much as possible in regards to vehicle price, payments, and interest rate. She is a brand new buyer with no credit so she was really limited on price, so we ultimately had to make another choice that did not involve this dealership. Regardless he really worked hard to get her a really good deal. I would most definitely recommend going to see Nathan. For the record he was a really nice guy and really helped us.

Service Advisor staff is great! I had the pleasure of meeting a nice young man by the name of (Steven Bauch) I hope I have that correct. He was extremely knowledgeable, answered all of questions, even sold me things that I need for my vehicle that I didn t know about - he also went over exactly what each part was for. I can tell he wasn t in it for the money, but wanted to make sure that I received the best service, and care! From now on, when I come I would like to do service with Steven! If they tell you to leave a deposit so they can take the car off the Market DON'T do it! They'll tell you they will give it back if you decide not to take the car after all. They don't! We got to the dealership around 6PM. We knew the car we wanted since we had gone to take a look at them prior to the date we decide to go through with the paper work. First off the car wouldn't turn on took about an hour to an hour and a half to get it running. They told us it was the battery and that they would replace it for a brand new one, we agreed to still go on. We then sat down at the sale persons desk he got all out information and then wouldn't tell us any type of rate or anything because he said "if I don't like the rate for you guys, I won't show it to you". 9 o'clock came around(closing time, I'm assuming) and he then told us to leave a 500 dollar deposit so he could take the car off the market. We were kinda hesitant but he said he would give it right back to us the next day when we agreed we would be back. Next day came, we decided not to take the car because it was over our budget(interest rate to high) we asked about the 500 dollars and they told us those were non refundable! Seriously? If we knew they were non-refundable we wouldn't have given them that money. They then tried to fix it by telling us they would transfer those 500 dollars towards a payment for a vehicle we had financed with them, they said to give them a couple of days and that they would call us back. Few days went by, they never called. We then called them and asked them about the issue and they said they would call us back the next day and let us know for sure. It's been about a week and a half and nothing! I hope their main boss sees this and gets this issue resolved. It's not fair 500 dollars is a lot of money to just take away from us.

Left a vehicle to be serviced. It sat on their lot for a week. They did not touch it and called us at the end of the week to tell us to come pick it up What was the point. We were without the vehicle fr 8 days, it still had problems. They did not try to charge us, but also did not even evaluate the car! Pointless inconvenience.

When it came time to purchase a bigger family car, we really did our research. Living in Austin, we were willing to look beyond our hometown if need be. We first started working with Nathan Cook from Norman Frede in Houston when we came across a Tahoe that we were very interested in from Auto Trader. Not only was Nathan extremely professional to work with, but he was also super quick to respond, get me answers, and work with us on our trade. I called several other Austin dealerships that were not near as fast to work with, or professional, or that were willing to give us the deal that Nathan was able to work out. We wanted to make sure that if we were making the drive from Austin that the vehicle was as accurately described as possible. He answered all of our silly questions again, with professionalism, couth, and speed! Nathan was great about following up without being annoying or overbearing. Nathan made sure to have all of the paperwork taken care of in advance so that when we did arrive everything was seamless. We were in and out in under an hour and the best part, the vehicle we purchased was even better than described and what we expected. A few days after our purchase, Nathan called to make sure we didn't have any questions and thanked us again. In addition, we received a hand-written thank you letter. It's not very often that people go over and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction, but that's what sets Nathan apart from the rest. Hands down one of the most positive car buying experiences we've ever had. Not only would I recommend Nathan and his team at Norman Frede, but I hope that if we continue to buy in the Chevrolet/GMC family, that we will continue to work with Nathan! We absolutely had a stellar experience...this coming from a very difficult to please with high expectations Austin mom!

It's about an hour drive for us(coming from sugar land and passing up the mega dealer classic chevy who I tried to get to match the deal frede was doing but they couldnt/wouldn't.)and we passed by many other dealerships- but definitely worth it and would send anyone looking for a car out that way.
