Stayed at next A few times had no problems but last time they booked my party in on a Sunday instead of Saturday which was strange seeing I had a email Friday to say see you Saturday , so they made us pay a extra $30 for the rooms ($90)which I paid on check out but I checked my bank two day later and found they took a extra $75 without no email phone call or invoice so I think next time I will stay else where (four points)

Awesome hotel right in the city centre! Super modern and the rooms were lovely, we had a very relaxing one night stay. The pool was fabulous and the bar had a great happy hour. Easy walk to Southbank too. I ll definitely stay here again next time I m in Brisbane

If you have a child with special needs do not go here. The restaurant don't want to know you and make zero effort to accommodate you or your child's requirements. We were put there by our airline after our flights were cancelled. Lovely hotel, fancy with all the bells and whistles, general manager even shot out to the dairy for me so I could get cereal for my son for breakfast. But that didn't get us tea. They wouldn't even rustle up a cheese toastie. Couldn't even get room service the next morning for toast or weetbix because the chef didn't start till 6am. Yes I said chef. Apparently toast or weetbix require chefs. When i asked room service for scissors so i could cut the zip the off my luggage I was told the scissors were kept at the front desk and I would have to lug all my bags back downstairs to get the scissors and cut off the zip ties and then lug them back upstairs again. Farcical.

Fantastic. Couldn't fault anything. Was so central and the bar beside the swimming pool was a "cool" place to be. Have already recommended Next to family and friends. Oh the food was great too! Will be back.

The best part of staying at this hotel, apart from its perfect location in Queen Street Mall, is Paul, the Concierge. After driving in heavy traffic from Northern NSW, I was feeling anxious about driving my car to the Myer Carpark. Paul's kindness and generosity made a huge difference in making me feel better. It allowed me to relax and enjoy the weekend. He is a definite asset to your hotel and i will definitely be returning. Thanks Paul!

Great location for discovering the Brisbane CBD. The room was small but convenient.
The food was average compared to the look and feel of this place - I was expecting more. The minibar allowed for 2 free items a day which was pleasant.
Very friendly staff!

Negative side is that it is loud over the weekend but thats what you get by the central location. They could mention this more explicitely when booking.

in one sentence: great location, modern hotel, but for breakfast go elsewhere. cooked breakfast is very average, and they charge an arm and a leg for it. they used to do much better than this. also room control systems need maintenance. this is my 4th stay, and first time I am so disappointed.

We stayed here for NYE 2015 and was definitely happy with the hotel, the location and almost everything about it. The hotel is right in Queens St Mall so across the street we had the Myer Centre. We were also close to the bridge to cross over to the Wheel of Brisbane.

The hotel itself was great. The staff were friendly and you get a long things including. 4 free items from the mini-fridge every day. A large TV that has AirPlay, DLNA and SamsungShare along with a good selection of free movies to stream. Disappointing that it didn't have too many cable channels, would have liked some ESPN.

Overall we were extremely happy and if we were in Brisbane again would definitely come here.

We had a distinctly average stay here for 5 nights.
Pros:
- Reasonably priced. We got a price match deal from the hotel direct.
- Location. Right in the heart of Queen Street Mall and backs on to the super trendy Burnett Lane. The mall can be very busy and noisy until late at night so best choose a room on a high floor.
- Lovely MOR toiletries in the room.
- 4 x free mini bar items every day.
Cons:
- Reception almost always busy and almost always involves a wait.
- Lights, temperature etc controlled by a phone in the room and although technologically awesome, a simple light switch would have been easier and most welcome, especially when the phone crashed and had to be rebooted!
- Our safe didn't work for the whole 5 days we were there despite reporting it twice it was never fixed.
- Rooms are very compact. The bathroom is open to the room but can be closed off with wooden sliding doors but this makes the room very dark.
- Despite being modern, the room felt tired, lots of scratches and scuffs on the wall, worn leather on the chairs and fingerprints on the woodwork.
The location was good but not good enough to entice me back.

Fabulous hotel rooms are very nice, carpet a little stained, safe didn't work but was fixed within 15mins. Hairdryer didn't work on second morning and they had added breakfast on to our room which we had not booked. But overall it was a great place to stay, staff on level 4 were very nice

-Receptionist was a bit abrupt on my arrival.

-Receptionist was a bit abrupt on my arrival.
-You control all lights in the the room from a mobile phone. Nobody explained that. it didn t work very well, the phone was dead in the morning with no battery and I couldn t switch on the lights or call the reception.
-The shower pressure was ok, not great and the water temperature not consistent. Sometimes warm but not hot.
-Breakfast a desastre. Savoury muffins not fresh, cheese slices not looking fresh. They had 4 options for cooked breakfast. I just asked for a simple omelette instead.. It was REFUSED! After I complained they decided to make it and then I declined.
-What is on the pillow cover (photo below): Everything here Revolves around around you .
It is a lie.

This is a business hotel, so expect that when you book. It's very nicely appointed and the lobby staff are great. I was there two nights, and meeting in their conference rooms, so it was very convenient. Bring on Queen Street meant that it was easy to access shopping, food and South bank. Bar and restaurant were both quite good, although the morning tea provided for conference members was pretty poor. I'll gladly stay again and recommended it to my Business Manager for future conference bookings.

Great value for money. Rooms are clean and roomy. Guests can take 4 free mini bar items per day which include water, snacks, alcohol, soft drinks and juice. Rooftop pool is great. Could do with some extra lounges and umbrellas though and the general publics entrance into the pool bar is through the pool area which is strange. A few randoms were hanging around gawking at swimmers. Bit creepy. Pool cocktails are tasty and pool food is ok. Staff are lovely and helpful.

Modern budget hotel in a central convenient location. Rooms are small but clean and have a strange layout, which some people might be uncomfortable with. Service was as good as any in upmarket hotels, however breakfast was a let down given limited selection for continental buffet any only a few options for eggs. Also, some rooms are not suitable for business travellers as they don t have desks.

First thing I noticed when I got to my room was that the Samsung Smart Device the hotel boasts about was not functional. Upon inspection the back case of the phone had been melted off from overheating on the wireless charger (clear fire hazard).

It only got worst from there. At night I was informed that the hotel pool (one of the biggest selling point of the place) was closed off to hotel guests for 5 hours due to private event.

The following day I received a letter saying my mini-bar hasn't been restocked as I had the do not disturb sign on. Which was not true as the cleaners did go in to make up the room on that same day. And as aforementioned the faulty Sansung control unit was returned to front desk so I couldn't have put the sign on even if I wanted to.

At check out I was told the bill was settled. After flying out of the country, received an e-mail saying I had unpaid minibar items which were then charged to my card on file. On the hotel website it clearly states that guests get 4 free minibar items per night.

Overall, the stay was extremely disappointing. Out of all the amenities listed (screenshot attached) only about 2 were actually provided. Would steer well clear of this establishment.

Parking is an absolute nightmare. Front desk service shocking - 1 of the staff wad great the other couldn't care less if he took all the time in world checking in 1 person, all the while, head down, no eye contact or acknowledgement determined to egnor the long line of other people waiting. Bar staff also egnor you. No eye contact and certainly no smile when they actually lift their eyes and discover you haven't walked away. Buffet breakfast did not deliver, the promised table service for a hot meal order - never happened within the hour we were there.

Nice modern hotel, BUT:

Nice modern hotel, BUT:

- In-room smart phones are a joke. Constantly hanging up mid-call, slow and unresponsive UI, and SIP/HTTP status codes displayed throughout, like my mother-in-law will understand. One of them couldn t adjust brightness up (you could adjust but it wouldn t stick) and had to be soft-reset. Another phone kept buzzing/chiming every 3-10 minutes with no discernible voicemail or missed call or other activity (we hid it under a pillow). The duplicate Cisco phones also barely worked - too quick to push an incoming call to voicemail.

- Pool is made to look at, not swim in. Have to exit through the bar (while dripping wet and looking oh-so-suave in swimsuit and flip-flops)

- The hotel is right next door to a strip club, with entertainers out in front leaving little to the imagination about what is going on. More power to them, but not something I want to be walking my inquisitive young kids by two or three times a day. So definitely not a hotel suitable for families.

Had a two night stay here, the proximity of the hotel to the city centre was extremely convenient. I booked online, check-in and check-out was very fast and trouble free.

The Next hotel rooms operate everything via a remote control android device in the room and you can also download their remote control app on your own device, the number of times that the remote software lost contact with the room was a little frustrating. We dined in the restaurant a couple of times and found that the food and service were also excellent.

Car parking was a little problematic, with either the choice of valet parking or Myer Centre carparking we chose the latter. Unfortunately something did not work to expectation and the parking turned out much more expensive than expected. Apparently, according to a colleague, you can have the parking validated by the Hotel reception to reduce the fees at the Myer Centre car park.

I have no other complaints and would stay again.

Probably the best business hotel I've stayed in Brisbane. Rooms are modern contemporary design and everything is meticulously designed and thought for the convenience of the business traveler.
Special mention about the smartphone based concierge and TV infotainment is worthy. Best I've experienced in any hotel in Australia or elsewhere.
Bonus: 4 items per night from the mini bar free of charge ;)

Fabulous. I cannot rate this hotel highly enough. The whole experience was perfection. Great rooms with some nice extra touches like 4 free minibar items during your stay, funky furnishings and nice toiletries. Great location right on the mall. The pool is beautiful on a nice day, the business lounge very handy if you re in town for work. The breakfast and lunch was very reasonably priced and interesting, brekkie better than the usual hotel buffet selection. The service throughout was flawless. I can t wait to return!
