Immigration service was very slow and inefficient in dealing with the relatively moderate number of visitors. Check-in service was excellent (United Airline). Amenities and food areas at gate area were adequate.
Nice clean rooms, East access to airport. Decent food options
The service was extraordinary. The rooms were really fancy, and the food was amazing.
I arrived late into Newark (1:30 AM) and the shuttle picked me up promptly after I phoned. Checkin was extremely friendly and courteous. Accommodating for my late check-out request. Food from our corporate events in the salon was fine for hotel catering. I would stay here again as an individual if my travels required a nights stay in Newark
The 3 a.m. lady in the entrance of the security section gave a terrible customer service. Made the process really stressful and wasn't helpful at all
For an airport hotel this place is very warm, clean and convenient with shuttles to the terminals every 15 minutes
Nice, clean, and newly renovated rooms with modern furniture. The staff where friendly and helpful.
Waiting lounge is not good also the Duty free shop is not good
It's clean and comfortable with a fantastic variety of shops and restaurants
Staff attentive, good service, but did not find much of the infrastructure.
When convenience is key, it's the best place to stay
Amenities were pretty skimpy, breakfast lounge only has the basic continental breakfast, no upgrade for elite members, room is outdated with minimal outlet plugs.
Front desk receptionist spent 25 minutes BSing with a single American male but when it comes to us Asian, it took her less than 10 minutes to check us in without offering any upgrades to our room. Now what is this? Racial discrimination? All of the other hotels we've been staying gave us the upgrade once they saw we are Elite Members but NOT THIS ONE.
Definitely, BLACKLISTED for us & will never stay here even if we are tired & need a place to sleep next to the airport.
NO free Wifi, NO safe - false advertisement
Super big airport. everything is clean and modern. many passengers on the road. You have to walk a lot, from one gate to another. I loved hy lots of connectors to charge cell phones and computers. Language translation is fast and efficient.
Convenient to the airport and generally nice. A very minimal room service menu.
Oh Newark. How did you become so complex? It is such a tangle to simply depart...
Newark A (gates 12-18 wing) is the most disgusting airport I have ever been in. It s completely filthy and run down. Security is in a bizarre corridor / bridge thing where the lines don t move because there is no space for anyone to unpack their belongings and prepare to be screened. Avoid.
Awf. Flight delayed then cacelled. Had to spend the night. Hour long lines at airline customer service, all because of air traffic control delays, so got nothing for all the inconvenience. The airport doesnt care.
As a bus driver Breakfast was great! The beds are super soft. Room 528 has a telephone shower! Awesome!
Overall I enjoyed my stay. Staff wad friendly and room was nice. I was a bit disappointed at the stained/dirty bathroom towels and ripped bed sheet.
Staff other than concierge were extremely rude. Rooms are small for the price and rooms were leaking.
Friendly staff, great room. Resteraunt is limited and expensive.
Ample parking and the signs guide the visitor for the first time
Expensive parking. Didn't stay overnight, was there for a wedding. Decent place, bartenders were slow and rude.
Really like it since the renovation. The rooms are nicely furnished and the beds are super comfortable.
This hotel is always kept in pristine condition in spite of the nonstop foot traffic. Bravo to the staff.
Hotel staff misbooked us. We booked a two night stay, and tonight we came back to find our room cards incalidated and our booking just gone.
Convenient to the airport, nice wnough restaurant
Real nice hotel. But could use a fridge and microwave in the room.
Everything was clean, easy to access, and the shuttle was timely and efficient.
Pleasant enough as airports are anymore. The dining options have been expanded, certainly a plus. The terminals are clean. TSA keeps the lines moving. Charging stations located in all the gate areas. Many off site parking companies in the area.
The WiFi charge of 13$ is absolutely ridiculous and pretty insulting. The cost of the rooms should include WiFi for free. The staff were hit or miss. The restaurant is very overpriced and the portions are small. The TV in my room was staticy. The beds are comfy.
Nice hotel. Attend a conference there. The accommodations and the food were very good. Would not hesitate to attend again.
I just parked there and used the restroom. Lobby looked nice.
We stayed here overnight to catch next day flight back to india. Stay was good. Staff was helpful.
I was grabbing a quick dinner with a client and decided to eat at Aviation Grill - and was pleasantly surprised! the seared scallops and risotto dish WERE AMAZING! A decent wine list and ambiance was such that we could have a good conversation while noise was at "vibrant" levels.
Always delayed connecting through this airport. Needs updating too
The airport is difficult to move around in. Having to take elevators here and there. After renting cars, found no place around to fill up the car.
Probably about typical as an airport Marriott as you can get - even complete with the tacky Marriott lobby furniture!
All kidding aside - good property. Rooms are renovated, club lounge breakfast is very good, and property is located conveniently to the airport.
Flew out on Easter Monday, never saw so many people...elbow to elbow but still got checked in and at the bar near our terminal with 2 hours to spare....
Shuttle goes every 30 minutes to the airport, but rooms are very nice and had a great view of the city in the distance
It's an airport. I don't think you need much more than that. The only reason I'm writing this review is so Google will stop posting it on my review list. I only come here because I drive for a limo service.
Good size rooms, most renovated in bedrooms many also in bathrooms. Clean, offering view at the airport surrounding area. It has a restaurant, mini market, office center, gym, ticket printing and ample space to walk even within the hotel. Lobby area nice and cosy. Personel both at the reception and breakfast area could be friendlier but they have so many customers that they probably do not care! Restaurant service is very slow so plan in advance if you need to catch a flight. Shuttle bus convenient, well preserved and clean.
Clean rooms, no noise even being close to the airport.
Very beautiful place to behold. Comfortable departure hall
Fairly well organized. Roads around it are gettkng a lot of work done.
Paying for parking there is overhyped they should separate visitors from the people going for an event.
The Marriott Hotel. Martin Luther King breakfast hosted by JC Branch NAACP; nice breakfast. Great service .
The food at the grill was horrible. I ordered salmon summer roles were awfully salty .it took forever to get the food.
This is a very good location if you have an early flight. I've stayed here off and on for 22 years. Always clean. Its what you expect of a Marriott
I have stayed at most of the Marriott properties around the Newark Liberty airport. I m a loyalty member and will continue to stay at Marriott properties. Only writing this review to offer advice to anyone that is a Platinum or higher. I would recommend booking at the Renaissance instead of the Liberty Marriott. The Concierge lounge at both properties are closed due to COVID. The Renaissance will give you bonus points, $10 meal voucher and a coffee and breakfast sandwich voucher whereas the Liberty Marriott only gives you 1000 points. The restaurant at the Renaissance has a much better and more diverse menu for dinner, and all their draft beer taps are operating. Very limited menu at the Liberty Marriott and no draft beer. I understand Liberty Marriott is very convenient due to location but if your stay entails dinner plans you might want to opt for the Renaissance. The gym is also open and very well equipped.
The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I can not comment on the rooms as my visit was limited to the lounge area for a professional event.
Rooms are ok, but don't forget any valuable items when checking out, 'cause u won't get it.
Very nice Shuttleworth hotel very well organize indication to take it are exact and perfect
Shuttle schedule every 15 minutes
Very comfortable bed
Perfect restaurant with varying prices good choice of beer the plates are filled generously
The bar has no sour mix to make any kind of drinks and this 1 poor guy is attending about 30 people. They have a menu and many items aren't even available I call room service for breakfast because the in room dining clearly says dial zero. Yet te woman who answers says to do it through the TV and hangs up. The service here is the worse
The airport has too many construction areas that make it confusing to get where you need to go. Short term parking was difficult to locate.
The staff was super friendly and the rooms were clean updated and modern.
Poor front desk service for elite members, provided several pieces of misleading information
Stayed last week, beds are really comfortable, showers are nice and hot. Ask for a code and they will give u free wifi and if your a rewards member it's free as well. Slept like a baby rock
Pain in the butt as always but they keep it a safe and clean airport
Has a meditation room in terminal C. Unfortunately, it's not a great Interfaith representation. However, its peaceful.
Overall a pleasant stay. The room was clean, albeit a bit small. The common areas were modern and updated with conscientious check-in staff members. Dinner at the Aviation Grill was excellent, the food was above average and the drinks were strong. Our server was efficient and had a positive attitude which made our dinner enjoyable. Breakfast in the morning was okay, the food was good; however, the server failed to meet our expectations, her tone was short and she lacked the positive attitude of our evening server. Our family would recommend this hotel if you are flying to/from EWR.
Not hard to get in and out but the cell phone lot is almost impossible to find. If I didn't come here once a month I would never know where to go to wait.
We often stay here when traveling out of EWR. Convenient shuttle to airport early morning flights
Great location and service for an airport hotel. Will stay again.
Horrible lay out for an airport pickup was a nightmare don't fly here
Stayed at 2 weeks ago for work. Normally despise Marriott properties but with my company & their financial relationship with them I have zero options. Was in especially unpleasant mood & Blanca and Joe (front desk staff) listened to me complain for a solid 5 mins and actually listened. Offered me some complementary concessions based on my situation (declined) which was just awesome. Room was updated and had overhead shower (love). 6mins from terminal to hotel. Would recommend if need to be or want something close to EWR.
