Location is great right next to the airport, lobby is nice and the place is clean. The restaurant wasn't very good however.
Has not been there in a few years. Upgraded lobby area was nice. Staff friendly
Bathrooms were neat and clean, excellent furnished lobby with great atmosphere.
Average Airport with good restaurant and food options. No luggage storage so you can easily tour city during layovers. Clean bathrooms.
Renovations are nice, staff was nice, did was decent, parking was confusing.
It was ok. Room should have been cleaner. Things left over from last guest. Restaurant was great
the parking is a nightmare, I was driving for about 40 minutes to get into a parking lot that was not even free, and the whole parking system is a Nightmare
Originally denied reservation at check-in, and offered a room at Extended Stay America instead. Outrageous. Fortunately managed to convince them otherwise after providing my loyalty details.
Nice hotel room. Much better than the ones that you typically encounter at airports. Well maintained and convenient to airport with shuttle bus to airport every 15 minutes. The rooms are sound proof, you will not feel you are staying close to the runway or highway.
Location is great if you are looking to be close to the airport. I stayed here for a conference and rooms were offered at a discount rate. The room was nice enough and pretty standard for the hotel chain. I deducted some stars for value. For the price, I felt that free wifi and parking would normally be offered and sometimes even at a lower price by other hotel chains.
Nice place to stay if you need to spend the night near the airport. They tout themselves as a terminal airport, with the website description as "directly connected to the airport.", but they aren't located in the terminal. The website mentions the shuttle service that stops at each terminal, but there's no help finding the pick up locations until you actually arrive and call. Once at the desk they will give you a card printed with directions to the stops at each terminal, but you don't need it by then because you've already found your way there.
The restaurant prices are too high. But hey, they're catering to an upscale clientele.
The poor review is focused on the hotel restaurant -- Chatfield's Casual Restaurant. The service was incredibly slow -- and this was mid-afternoon when the place was virtually empty. Our waiter didn't seem to have a clue as to what he was doing. We wondered if he was in training, or something. We had to essentially ask for everything -- amenities which should have come to the table without asking -- water, ketchup for the fries, a coffee refill, and so forth. (I even had to finally ask for the bill, or I think we might still be sitting there.) We sat for a long time before our waiter came initially. Then, after the order was taken, we waited a long time again for the food to finally come. It was cold and obviously had been sitting somewhere cooling down while our waiter did -- who knows what? The restaurant facility was OK, and with a different waiter we might have had a more positive experience.
Pros: The room feels clean. Easily accessible to and from the airport. 24hr room service. Nice staff.
Cons: No free WiFi, just makes me feel like they just nickel and dime you.
Clean and well appointed conference room. Attentive and friendly staff.
Excellent airport hotel made much better by being a modern, full service place with that Marriott touch. Good food and beverage services and a shuttle that runs to the airport every 15 minutes.
I went to the hotel to look at venues. The hotel seemed very high class and fancy. I liked the venue as well but was a little too small for what I was looking for. You also get an awesome view of the airport, so you always see planes taking off. I would love to overnight at the hotel one day.
The staff was very polite and helpful. Did and parking were rather expensive. The room was clean and the shower was amazing.
Stones throw (literally) to the airport. Clean rooms, professional staff and a shuttle every 15 minutes to airport. Sunrise views over NYC
If I have to fly then I definitely like to fly out of Newark airport. It's the easiest airport to navigate around.
No upgrade recognition for Bonvoy Ambassador, even if you are regular with them. Will switch to other hotels.
When travel from Dallas to Newark my bags was delayed for 3 hours later and I had them with me a day later because they sent that to my room in my hotel
I had a work event here. We've had it hear for many years. It is extremely convenient and I know people that fly in and out the same day, which is really valuable. They have a free shuttle that makes it even better. The hotel feels recently updated with a contemporary feel to it. It also seems that they are implementing some newer apporaches here, as well. For instance, Instead of one front desk, there are 3 kiosks for checking in. Even though there were many hotel guest coming and going, I never waited in line the 4 times I approached the kiosks. I was served immediately. Love it! My room was also recently updated with a contemporary feel. I especially liked the small L-shaped couch with movable lap desk. It was a great setup for working and eating. One of my favorite features was the in-room dining. A large menu of items was available until 11pm and the prices, quality and speed of delivery were all good. I had wine and cheesecake my first night and a breakfast burrito the next morning. I'd describe the quality of the food as airport kiosk or Starbucks level. The presentation was top notch but the flavors were a bit dull. I also ate in the restaurant one night. I had the lamb shank. The portion was huge and my dinner companion's short rib was also enormous. The quality was about 4 star. Mine needed a bit more gravy for the amount of meat. In general, though, the amount of options and quality were impressive. Overall, I'd stay here again and would recommend it to others.
Too crowded, though the staff compensates with courtesy and respect
Wonderful rooms. Excellent service. Worry free stay with 24 hour shuttle that runs every 15 minutes. No need to register. Very pleased.
This airport does its job, but its old and used. I didn't like the fact that baggage claim can be visited by anyone, since its in the public area of the airport.
Really challenging stay at this Marriott. Checked in around midnight due to a late flight to a room where there was a large unsightly stain in the middle of the sheet/comforter. Called the front desk and shared that information and was asked "What would you like us to do about it?" For starters, I would have liked for you to say "We're so sorry! That's gross! We'll send up a new set of bedding immediately." Then, hair in the shower, ick. Then, ordered a veggie burger for room service and definitely received a turkey burger. Thankfully I'm not actually a vegetarian so I just rolled with it rather than waiting another 45 minutes. Room on second floor is so loud with sounds, laughter, and shouting from the bar that I got up twice to see if maybe I left my door open...that's how loud it was. Seriously hope to never stay here again. I will say that the people that work here are all very nice!
After the remodel the hotel it great. The room services was better then our coporate meeting food!
Nice place with very frequent airport shuttle with friendly staff
Very friendly, CLEAN, large rooms! Shuttle to and from airport! $219 per room with king bed! Clean bathrooms, marble.
Very nice room, food was great too. Enjoyed my stay.
Good airport. Nice and supporting people and the ways to the gates are simply explained
The hotel is one of the better Marriott's in the area. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the ease of getting to the airport is a real plus.
I dropped my passenger there. Airport seems to look nice and clean.
Nice soundproofing rooms since it is in an airport, comfortable bed, newly renovated hotel. No pool. Quality of service and food in the restaurant / bar is poor.
Just parked here until flight came in, was only here 5 minutes.
Free shuttle from airport, but no good way to walk. Have to wait for the shuttle everytime. Food options are really expensive. The place is nice though.
The room was nice and clean, but the walls are a little thin. The food at the restaurant downstairs was better than expected. I also loved the fact that it was a very short walk to the terminal. I didn't hear planes overhead, which would normally be a concern being so close to the airport.
The lobby was wonderful and the concierge lounge had a great breakfast. Starbucks was closed. They said it wasn't busy enough to open up Starbucks on a Sunday.
The facility was incredibly clean, and the layout of everything really gave off the feeling of a high-quality, luxury building. I was there for a Professional endeavor, although the building really was beautiful.
An ok Airport confusing as heck driving around and don't try to get out.
It gets you to your final destination... eventually.
I went here for a two day dance convention. It was clean, friendly staff. Has a star bucks, bar, and restaurant. Prices were decent except for the snacks in the lobby. 1 bag of Microwave popcorn, small bag of nuts, and the tiniest bag of beef jerky I ever saw=$22
Great view, love the bed, TV wasn't working, have to pay for parking.
need to treat their employees better and they work every day and night they think they are machines they comes first as well
This is the address of the Marriott Hotel on the Airport property. This the only hotel on the airport property. The hotel operates a free shuttle to and from the airport. The hotel has a full service restaurant on the first floor.
Very convenient for airport connect just next door. Have restaurant. Business center is costly 10$ per use minimum
Good location but difficult to Access on foot from the terminal despite the short distance because no walkway is available, you'll have to cross roads and gardens.
The room was large and comfortable but m'y bedshit was full of holes.
The gym is large and well equipped.
Poor service for the price. I won't return.
Staff member who greeted us was very friendly and informative. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We stayed on the concierge floor and had some great hor d'oeuvres that night. Food from the restaurant was excellent as well.
Upon checking in and wanting to get to sleep, I pulled back the coverlet and there was a fresh bloodstain the size of a nickel on the pillow case. I called and asked for replacement pillows, which took 40 minutes to be brought up (Sunday evening at 1030pm) and there was little acknowledgement as to how unpleasant it was to find someone else's blood in my bed. The next morning I went to shower and there was hair in the shower. It was pretty gross and concerning since they clearly didn't change the bed linens or clean the shower in between guests.
*update*
After reading several other reviews, I'm horrified to discover mine is the THIRD review of fresh blood stains in the beds. These people are NOT changing the linen between guests. Someone also replied to my complaint with a useless "someone will be informed" comment and states their housekeeping is normally good. What hotel are you working at Dave?? Housekeeping is pretty bad when there are DOZENS of comments discussing how unclean the rooms are, and again, there was FRESH BLOOD in the bed I had to sleep in when staying with you. It's clear they don't care and this is so normal they don't even respond in horror as they should if they were truly serious about providing an exceptional stay.
The staff was awesome made my two week stay feel home like, can't wait to come back!
Over an hour wait for luggage... Slowlest luggage delivery
I attend a event there. Didn't stay in the rooms but everything looked nice and clean.
It's an aiport. Planes fly in and they fly out. It has bars and restaurants and chairs. There is a TSA precheck in one location per terminal, so that's kind of annoying but other than that it has all the necessary ingredients to make an airport... well... an airport.
Crazy airport. Access roads are little something designed by Dali. Loops on top of loops melting into madness.
Airtrain is nice and staff stationed around airport makeup for it as they are very nice and quick to help.
Feel sorry for non English speaking travelers.
So Noam a guest at the hotel and toi can not get into the back doors with you guest key......... They also have a sign on the door informing guest to use their key to get in but when you swipe the key it doesn't work. Call the front desk and they stated that security locks the doors at 10pm. Understandable however I'd yoi ate a guest your ley should work regardless of the time
I missed my flight out of EWR and booked this at the last minute because it's the closet airport to the hotel. My expectations were low but I was very pleasantly surprised. The food and service at the restaurant were great and all hotel staff were very nice. I was only in my room for a few hours as I had to leave the hotel at 3:30am to get the first flight out but from my limited time it was clean and comfortable.
I chose this hotel due to its proximity to the airport. I was pleased with the Concierge lounge and quiet rooms. The bed was very comfortable to boot. One tip - Plan to wait for the shuttle. Almost everyone who stays here needs a ride to the terminal.
Good location and convenient. But price is higher than expected and don't like that WiFi not included. In good condition.
