Good hotel, although getting to the hotel is a hassle of its own. The hotel rooms are clean and spacious, lounge suite has a good snack hour and good views, plenty of restaurants in the immediate area, the lobby is open and nice. Staff is very friendly and accommodating,

I had an overnight wait for a flight at Newark airport and had to find a hotel. I lucked out with the Marriott. The price was right and is directly next to the airport, very convenient. The room decor and layout was modern and comfortable. I also ate fish tacos at the restaurant in the lobby and was impressed.

I would definitely stay there again.

Never in my life have I seen a airplane get stopped while taxiing to let people on. This place gets more worse each month. Bathrooms smell like a NEW YORK ALLEY WAY on a hot summer day. Workers are beyond rude. I have nothing great to say about here. Sucks sometimes you have no choice but to fly from here because you don't feel like that NY traffic

Very disappointed in this hotel. Booked a room for one night. Had a roll a way bed added to the room as our daughter was staying with us. I had to call down to get the bed brought to the room. Bed arrived and had no blankets. Called for that, pillows and bath towels as there was only one in the room. The man who came to the door asked how many pillows we wanted. We asked for four and he asked if we were serious. Of course we were or we wouldn t have asked. Pillows arrived but no blankets or towels. I called again and towels arrived with no blankets. I called a third time and blankets arrived. However as my daughter was making the bed she noticed a used band aid on the blanket. Obviously they had not washed blankets.

Tried the restaurant as well and while the food was great the service was snail paced. All in all I d recommend the renaissance hotel. It s a bit farther but also has a shuttle service to the airport.

I have lived in the hotel that I like very much! Because it is very close to EWR, I guess I can walk until I just take the UBER or the hotel airport shuttle bus. (However, the hotel shuttle bus has to go to other buildings, so I am very embarrassed to call UBER.) Waiting for non-working hours can call the car into Manhattan or take a tram. The price and location are very satisfying to the hotel!

Airport of choice.....not just for work but for leisure as well. Not always the easiest airport to get into or out of due to ATC constraints, but it serves more domestic and international destinations than anyone else in the New York area. Very easy to get to downtown NY Penn Station from Newark Penn Station via the Air Train. Terminals are in the process of being totally revamped with new shopping and dining choices. Great flight choices on multiple carriers to go pretty much anywhere you can think of to go. Very easy to move terminal to terminal via the Air Train and ride share choices are available at all three terminals. The airport has about 14 hotel choices all within a 3 mile radius, with the airport Marriott being right in the middle and on the field. Van pickups to and from all hotels are normally done from Air Train station P4. If you have to get to other NY airports, there are shuttles, cabs, and ride share choices as well as train options that branch out to Boston and Washington, DC. all via the Air Train system at Newark Penn station. The are ticket kiosks to purchase train tickets at all three terminals as well as airport staff to help to figure out what you need to purchase.

A good comfortable and convenient airport hotel.

Pros: location, shuttles every 15 mins, quick check in, comfortable and clean, food available till 1 am, late check out service

Cons: Wi-Fi is not free for everyone. (That's why taking off a star.)

I stayed here for 24 hours since I didnt make my flight from Newark Airport to Porto, Portugal. Its conveniently located across the Newark Airport terminal. The hotel offers free pick up and drop off so that's a plus. Overall a great experience. The check in was a breeze, I was in my room in no time. I was upgraded on the concierge level room. The room was very modern, not huge but it's very well laid out. Bed was comfortable, huge flat screen TV. The bathroom was not the biggest but its functional, showers worked very well. Free wi fi for elite members and it's worked very fast. I didnt get a chance to see the Lounge since I slept till the afternoon. I ate at Aviation Grill and it was good. Overall experience was excellent and I will stay here again.

Desk people were rude and they took money from 3 of our cards and wasn t trying to refund us. Shuttle transportation guy in the am told us we couldn t get on the shuttle until after the flight attendants and then told us we couldn t get on until he came back when we were here first! They work at the airport and aren t going to get left! Regular paying customers can miss their flight! Customer service here is poor.

Wrong address and when I called to get the correct address the woman who answered the phone was annoyed!! Then the check in process was extremely long and the woman behind the counter was not the nicest person in the customer service industry. I have been in the customer service industry for 26 years and I have never been treated with such disrespect in a very long time ! Shame on you !!!

Courteous staff, however facility could use some updating. Toilet in room had issues, one lamp required an extension cord... On the positive side the sound proofing was excellent. I didn't hear a single aircraft.

The hotel location is great. The rooms are very nice, the hotel staff was polite and the airport shuttle is every 15 minutes which is great. However no fee wifi and no heated outside smoking section. The rate was also high compared to what you get.

Easy option traveling for business that is close to the airport. I had to stay the night in Newark and fly out early the next day so this hotel made for a good option .

Property: the property is nice. Close proximity to the airport for convenience. The is a large lobby with restaurant and bar and giant contained fireplace. There is a large gym with a fair amount of cardio and weight machines. There were only a couple people in the gym at 6pm mid week. Apparently there is a pool as well. Looked like a number of conference rooms, business center, etc that I did not use. Also a member lounge with regular complimentary food service and self serve honor bar (to charge back to room). Property clean overall.

Service: check in was easy and associate was very pleasant and knowledgeable. They were having a complimentary wine tasting when I checked in. I also ate at the restaurant downstairs and the service was prompt and good. I only stayed one night so no comment on housekeeping etc other than the fact that everyone I encountered was very polite and acknowledging.

Room: room was clean and quite nice exceeding my expectations honestly. You can see the decor from the pictures as well as the view. Big tv with internet tv and the ability to order room service directly on the tv. Bed was comfy and bathroom was clean with decent amenities.

Price: the price was within our cap for business travel so I would say moderate.

Overall: overall this was very convenient and comfortable offering everything one needs for business travel or airport layover. The free airport shuttle that can be tracked on the Bonvoy app was a nice touch too.

The TSA staff here need to really look at themselves in the mirror.

I brought with me 50 small toothpaste samples (each less than 3 ounces) to be distributed to family members who are college student in Florida.

The TSA grabbed 25 toothpaste and kept it and let me keep the other 25. Their rationality was that they were not inside a plastic bag.

For sanity's sake, who made up these fantastic rules? Where did our humanity go?

Their mandate to protect the public has just gone too wild too unrealistic to be true. Sanity has no play here.

Now I have 25 sampler toothpastes that some TSA staff will enjoy for weeks to come at their home.

Now about terminal C

Terminal C has about 8 out of every 10 of its charge stations broken. There appears to be no attempt to fix them as crowds panick where to charge their devices.

Terminal C has very limited restaurants and prices are more than tripled compared to outside food.

Terminal C has a moldy smell to it as well. Not sure about terminal A or B.

We to a gala last Saturday. The staff was very friendly and accomidating. The chicken and crab cakes w/ shrimp were OK at best, but the apple crumble, strawberry cherry, chocolate cake was really good.

Hotel is below average. Valet parking seems to be outsourced and management of the hotel has no control over the conduct of the Valets. If you have a concern with services do not discuss with the hotel, address with Marriott directly. If you are in town for the night and leaving on an early morning flight and don't care about dropping a few hundred dollars on a small room this is the place for you.

We have stayed here many times when flying out of EWR. We usually check in and then drop off the rental car. There is a free shuttle, but it is an easy walk from Terminal B. The hotel staff is very friendly and attentive. There is a large fitness center. The bar and restaurant are a good option to stay local. It is also close to some great Ironbound Newark restaurants. Most amenities are an additional cost, such as parking and WiFi. The rooms are modern and very comfortable. It is located within the airport complex.

Never Again! Booked a room with access to concierge lounge only to find the lounge is CLOSED on weekends ( except for breakfast)! Now why would Marriott not tell me that when I booked the room thru Member Services? What a deceptive practice! What makes it worse, is that we just got off a plane from the Caribbean and were celebrating our Wedding Anniversary. Our flight home was set for Sunday! Staff were not empathetic. Gave us an upgrade to compensate and points! Well, the room was nothing special which made me wonder what we were originally going to get! Keep your points, Marriott! I am cutting up my card and wont use you again! What a way to end our vacation! You know how to put a damper on things!

Pretty nice hotel, as far as airport hotels go. The drinks were ridiculously overpriced at the bar, but I wouldn't expect any less. The room was nice and had a great view of the New York City Skyline. The shuttle driver to the airport was probably the best part of the stay. He was incredibly informative when it came to dropping us off at our terminal and pointing us in the right direction. The Mariott at Newark Liberty airport was a good experience, but maybe bring some extra money if you want a couple of beverages with dinner.

I'm am completely blown away as soon as I walked in the door. The line to check in was insane. We waited a good 25 mins. Then we were treated rudely at the desk by Cassandra. Actually I didn't see one person at the front desk with a smile, happy face nothing. We waited for another 25 mins!!!!!!!! I mean come on for the price you pay to stay here you shouldn't be waiting in line and asked too stand to the side until a paper or email is sent to them for whatever reason. Cassandra rudely asked my friend to move out of her way!!!!! All she had to do was walk around her. I never leave bad reviews being a business owner myself I hate that people lie or spread the truth. But that's not the case here. I'm in shock at how this place is run. Never ever again will I return here.

This is the only airport I use to travel. There is all kinds of parking available for a fee.Its easy to go from terminal to terminal or circle around to pick up arrivals.Traffic cops are always working so it's easy to get ticketed if you don't follow the rules.Plenty choices in getting picked up or dropped off.....uber,bus,taxi etc.

Close to airport terminals. Free shuttle. Clean and modern. If you need a place to stay before or after a flight it s a good spot. Cheaper alternatives just off the airport grounds. Search around for a good deal. Staff is quick and friendly. Bar downstairs is a lively spot for a drink. I would be back if the price is right.

The staff at this hotel is super friendly, the room was clean and had AC. Food from the restaurant was very good. In general the costumer service was great and the free shuttle to and from the airport runs every 15 min 24/7. Just make sure you know from where it picks up and drop off.

Nice amenities with better food and cocktails than I've gotten at other Marriotts. Food was pricey, as is usual for a Marriott. I don't usually eat hotel food so much, but there weren't really other options in the area. The bar got pretty rowdy in the evening if that's your thing. The staff at the bar, restaurant, and desk were really great and friendly. The shuttle to and from the airport was also a plus. In summation: pricey but convenient and comfortable.
