Newark Airport Marriott Reviews

This airport is always a gong show. I have yet to have a flight depart from this airport on time. Terminal A needs some serious improvements. People are sitting on the ground due to limited seating available and the washrooms are constantly lined up down the hall. It seems like this terminal cannot support the volume of travelers passing through.

Easy to get to but poor facilities, broken outlets all over and no drinking fountains. I guess as long as I'm safe, everything else is relative.

Very very nice and comfortable hotel at the airport. Very friendly staff and large, clean rooms. Very good breakfast. I will be back

Good hotel, well kept up, and welcoming professional staff. The consierge lounge is very helpful for busy schedules. En the evening, Tyler is very hospitable and offers a great selection of food as ne beverages.

In need of a renovation. Staff not the frendliest and very slow.

If you have a long lay over in Newark Airport, you can have a drink in this hotel, is pretty close, only few minutes, nice service.

Went for a conference. Conference rooms were nice. Service and food were pretty good.

Great location, kind of old, but it s ok. The carpet in the halls is too soft and thick. Makes it difficult to roll bags. Food at onsite restaurant is great. Staff was very nice.

Location was fantastic for travel. Room was clean. Bed provided a good night's sleep. The service was spectacular! I will definitely stay here again.

Great stay for a short overnight layover. Room service from the bar/grill downstairs was incredibly quick and well worth the price. Staff was friendly and helpful. Airport shuttle every 15 minutes, no reservations needed.

Hotel was clean and attractive. But the room didn't even have a desk or chair to work from. Executive Suite? I don't think so. And 1 drawer in a hotel room? Narrow shower with the shower head too close to the wall so you keep hitting the wall.

Attention was OK nothing special but is it really necessary to charge. For the parking

I met a friend who had a 3 hour layover in Newark. I was able to pick her up from level one, drive to the Marriot in less than 5 minutes, park, enjoy a relaxing and delicious dinner, and have her back at Terminal C in time to go thru security and board her flight. Highly recommended for similar occasions.

I have requested an invoice for my reservation several times and they simply DO NOT respond to emails.

If it is a business trip I DO NOT recommend it. Nefarious customer service.

Overcrowded and not very interesting but got stop by if you're in the area, maybe just once

96 nights this year with Marriott and this hotel won't let me check at 12:30am because I don't have the correct rate ID. Love Marriott this place not so much. Could have been a little more accommodating.

Hotel in close proximity to the airport (no aircraft noise to be heard) and free shuttle bus. Clean and spacious rooms. American breakfast restaurant available.

The cops there suck. The person I was picking up was coming to the car and one cop made me go all the way around again. Rather than punch him in the mouth and go to jail I did so. His wife is probably glad he works nights.

I attended an event Marriott. The staff was efficient, thoughtful and attentive. The rooms were stylish, clean and spacious.

The room service is prompt and the place is nice and cozy with a very nice view of the airport and the New York skyline. Enjoyed the stay.

Very poor service when trying to book a day room do not answer questions properly and will only book a room for 24hrs. We are now booking the Hilton down the road for $89.00 and Marriott wanted $219.00

Somewhat of a ghost town... Random restaurants open but no bars... Plastic wrapping around chairs, bars, restaurants... Just weird and surreal

Most convenient to the airport, nice modern rooms, great bar.

The hotel was easy to find with GPS. Check in was quick, room was clean.

I wasn't happy about the delay, but that was due to the flight coming in late from another airport. Things at EWR were smooth forming baggage drop off thru security. Everything moved very quickly and efficiently.

The room was clean but small. Sound-proofing was excellent for an airport location. Meals also were pricey; though, the hotel offered them until 12:30 AM, which is essential for flights arriving late from the West coast.

I dont like that there isn't any microwaves or refrigerator in the rooms ...and no wifi

Shampoo and body wash contain sulfates that destroy your skin. Lotion contains alcohol that dries out your skin. Hallway smelled like marijuana, and it got into the ventilation and made the bathroom smell the same.

Breakfast food was overpriced, low quality, and dirty. There was a fingerprint of oil in my glass of water.

Staff are friendly and the location is convenient, but I would avoid staying here in the future.

Delivered a handicapped friend to terminal c United airlines. The staff was overwhelmingly helpful and supportive

Room was cozy, great location, service was top notch, really easy to get around with the shuttle system.

Some good staff there. I was in the 10 th floor and the elevator did not work. Tried to dial front desk (at your service button) and it kept ringing. No one answered. Took the stairs. Spoke to one duty manager Ms. M-ya. She says phones were not answered because everyone was calling from the 10th floor. There were only two people including me waiting for 15 mins and he stayed while I tried to call the from desk. Fascinating how easily and quickly she lied. And she is a manager!!!! With this type of leadership this will always remain a low class hotel.

Our tv did not work but other than that everything was great especially the beds because the were so soft. But the shower was very confusing to use.

The place is neat and clean. Very roomy. But the cafe service is very slow.

Worst hotel in newark. I paid a good money for a reservation, and after this I saw that the check in was 4 pm. I saw on website that I could ask for a early check in. I called for the hotel reservation, they said to call front desk; I called front desk, and they said to call reservation; I called reservation again, and they said to call for my website agency. I called to website, they said the hotel couldn t do this early check in. So, I never will buy another reservation on priceline or Newark liberty International Airport Marriott again.

When we called ahead of time they said the restaurant was open so we made reservations we get there and was told that the restaurants were not open at all. we had already paid for the room. They never told us about being charged $50 for parking that was a surprise when I looked on my banking account and there was a negative $50. I called up to tell him I ordered nothing from the hotel and they told me oh no that's for parking I never been to a hotel where they charge you anything for parking let alone $50 smh

Great hotel! Clean and great staff. My room didn't work for parking but a quick visit to the front desk and it was resolved.

Crowd airport. Many modification takibg place. Nice and helpful people working there. With some exceptions.

Clean room but wifi is a kind of scam (you'll pay for it if you don't pay attention). Bathroom was nice too.

Okay place to stay if you miss a flight. A little pricey for what you pay. What your paying for is the convienace to terminal C.

A staff member walked into my room unannounced at 3am, almost as if it were their room. Completely threw off my night of sleep before an early flight, as I couldn t help but wonder who might be the next person showing up at my door.

Went for my daughter's dance competition. Although getting to an airport hotel can be a challenge, the hotel was great. Clean, great service, room met expectations. Nick in the restaurant was friendly and provided great service. No complaints about the hotel at all.

Staff very friendly but rooms are tiny and lacking a few travel essentials, eg. Safe!

Dirty. Bus stop / hotel pickup is too far for someone with baggage, children or disabilities. Weather and traffic light will affect the walk. Waiting area is heated which is great, but you have to get there 1st.

I was disappointed that there was not a refrigerator or microwave in the room as I am on a special diet and travel with my food. I have stayed at Marriott hotels before and this was below their standards. I did not like that I needed to use my room key to access the elevator. It was confusing and inconvenient.

Will not let me purchase a room for my son who got stranded at airport. Terrible service..... terrible !

I attended a day-long meeting in one of there conference rooms. The conference room was nice enough, if a but cold. On the other hand, I was bothered that the food on site was overpriced ($16 for a sandwich) and the cost of parking makes it impractical to go off site for lunch.

This is at least a halfway functioning airport. It is super busy, it is a zoo. I always hate going here. The lines are very confusing.

Had a professional event with Lincoln Heritage and the staff was beyond par. All of the staff was courteous, lunch served was delicious .

Clean and above all very quiet hotel you can't hear anything from the highway or the planes.

One of my favorite airports to fly from, since it is the most local. Security tends to be the longest wait and a bit of a pain but as with any airport, patience is necessary.
