Everywhere I can see was clean and nice. The shuttle bus driver was also nice. The hotel is really closed to the airport. These merits were expected because the room was overpriced. When I checked in the hotel, the staff seemed like unhappy to see me coming. In addition ,Marriot rewards member was able to get free wifi, however I was not informed and had been told that i need to pay for that. No free breakfast, no shuttle bus schedule. That was really a bad experience.

Just an overnight stay yet met the accommodations I expected from Marriott. Room was spacious, easy transport to and from Newark International, quiet and comfortable. Have no hesitation to book next overnight at this location whenever the need arises

I visited the Newark Liberty Airport Marriott on February 13, 2020 for an all day conference and was completely blown away by the level of service and graciousness that I received all day.
Ms. Allie Alderete realized that I had a problem and needed a card to be sent the same day. She went back to her main offices and miraculously produced 2 different thank you cards and never took any money from me! Who does that! I also had Ralston realize that I was feeling a bit upset about the card situation and he fixed me a drink right away. I had Basheer and Oscar Molina keep me company and lift my spirits up.

Finally as I left Leo from the Aviation Grill said very kind words to me and made sure that I was escorted to my car and basically made me feel like family. Mi familia.

The entire staff at the Marriott has a sense of grace and courage under fire like I have never seen before. I want to thank you for being there for me. If I would ever hire folks, it would be each one of you. So thank you and God's blessings to you all!!

Close to airport. Website instructions on how to catch coach from terminal miss one minor point. Go down an extra level. After a longvflight you do not need an omission like that. Otherwise good hotel.

Small slightly slow airport. Flight was delayed then un-delayed (confusing); overall delays are common here. Food selection past gate very minimal. Got where I was going but could be better.

So this is a great hotel. Really close to the airport. I had no hiccups during my stay. One thing that bothered me was the fact that the guy who was at Starbucks had little help and overworked. Please give him a raise, he handled the customers graciously.

My wife and I stayed here for over a week, for her national conference. Her conference used all of the rooms and the conference facilities. The service and staff were excellent. The ancillary services, restaurants, shopping etc. are extremely difficult to access from this location. I wouldn't recommend the facility if you are looking for easy access to New York City or any other local attractions. Minimum cab ride to anywhere locally is $25 and a minimum of $80 into NY city, each way. During my stay Marriot was switching their room service and restaurant services over to their new "fresh bites" menu which, in my opinion is a failure on multiple levels. The other challenge was the reception on the TV video system installed throughout the hotel. We stayed in several rooms, from standard to executive suite, and every single one had extremely bad television reception and quality, even though the TVs were brand-new. The head of engineering explained that this problem would be fixed before the end of the year.
The reason we stay at the higher-level Marriott, Wyndham, Hilton, Radisson and comparable resort hotels, is for the quality of personal service that we receive during our stay. In my opinion the Marriott Corporation is trying to use convenience, as an excuse to reduce some of its hotel services that require personnel. Although I understand the financial pressures to remain competitive, It is up to the guests to give them feedback, and demand the highest level of service AND accountability for our money. Enjoy your stay!

Excellent stay! Everything was clean and well maintained. The restaurant in the hotel was fabulous. The staff was extremely helpful and welcoming! I would stay there again without a doubt!

I d say this is a perfectly okay Marriott property that needs some attention to detail that s critically missing. It s a great location, clean and relatively new and modern with good amenities.
When we first arrived, at 6 pm, with a baby and a toddler, and lots of luggage for our trip, there was nobody available to help with the luggage. Even as we trudged through the lobby, each wheeling number ours suitcase and a child, nobody offered to help. At any other Marriott property someone would have stepped in to help, no matter if they worked the front desk, security, or at the restaurant.
The room was clean and nice, a little sparse on outlets and USB ports for the year 2019, and the bedside lamp which doubled as a USB charging station didn t work.
The restaurant was decently priced for the area, and had friendly and helpful wait staff, but the food did take forever to arrive.
Overall a decent property that could be a great one with some leadership that focused the staff on attention to servicing customers and to detail. A slight disappointment for a Marriott branded hotel.

Worst airport ever!!!

Worst airport ever!!!
They only give you 30min of free wifi.
Montreal, Sarasota, Atlanta all have unlimited free wifi.

You think airport hotel and you get this picture in your head, but this place isn't that. It's a very nice hotel that just happens to be in an airport. Very convenient for work conferences.

The location is great, but there is a lot of construction going on around the hotel that makes it a little difficult to get to right now. The shuttle service from the airport is great and runs often so it's very convenient. The rooms are nice, updated, and spacious. The fitness center is one of the best I have ever seen at a hotel. My only complaint was the service at the front desk upon check-in. There was a group of people that walked in behind us and they were helped ahead of us, because it's very difficult to see who was there first or who is in what line the way that the front desk area is set up. Also ordered room service for dinner and was told it would be 30 minutes and instead it took almost an hour.

Very old and very bad hotel - The hotel is very bad
The rooms are poorly decorated and old and there is no kettle
All services for money, stop the car with $ 6 delivery of food to the room for $ 6.
The room with an increase of $ 150 overlooks parking and does not see the runway.
I would never recommend this hotel, and would recommend taking a better apartment

As a Platinum elite member I would expect better. Very small inadequate member lounge. Put in a room next to a loud group and they would not move me. Are all the rooms really this paper thin? To pick up Fresh Take dining I had to wade thru the drinking crowd to flag down a bar tender. Kind of defeats the purpose of picking it up myself if not convenient. Now I have yet another reason to avoid Newark!

Save yourself the hassle and book a room elsewhere. Like, anywhere else. This place is worm beyond any acceptable level and the walls are paper thin. Even as a Hilton Diamond member the staff treats your lousy. Food at the restaurant was mediocre at best.

The dining area was nice. It was spacious and quiet enough to have a conversation. The food portions were generous and there was a large option on the lunch menu. The service was good and the food was not incredibly expensive.

Visited the venue in preparation for an upcoming event. The event/catering staff were welcoming and extremely professional. They took the time to understand our organization and about us. They provided a thourough understanding of venue space and accommodations. Definitely happy with the choice.

It is useful to bring your own mobile router because Wi-fi cannot be used free of charge unless you register as a member except for the first floor. Other than that, there was no particular inconvenience and it was comfortable.

It's hard to find if you don't know where you're going but overall a nice venue. Parking is simple, go around the back if you are exhibiting at a show. Can't comment on the rooms since I didn't stay the night but good spot

I stayed there Sunday night and the room was cool, but that was about it. At 9:45 AM, a housekeeper took it upon herself to try to walk right into our room without knocking first. Luckily, we had the top lock on so she could only open it a few inches. When we opened it, she said that she thought we had left. I am not sure why because we were in there talking and the television was on. Huge mistake and first time that has ever happened to me after staying at hundreds of hotels.

When I got ready to exit the parking lot, even more issues. They had not placed a parking fee onto my room bill, even though I was asked did I park when I checked in. The lady at the front desk took my parking ticket and told me to use my room ticket to exit. I had to go back in, stand in a long line, and engage in a ridiculous conversation with a man at the front desk. I told him that I had 100% told them at check-in that I had a car. There were several other people out in the parking lot, struggling to get out. They either had to go back in as well, or use the intercom button to have a debate before they could leave. In other words, the hotel is decent (I have stayed there before) but the service needs to be improved.

Dinner in the restaurant was okay but the steak left a lot to be desired. The pancakes were cold during room service the next morning. Another interesting tidbit is that when I tried to post this review while still staying at the hotel, this page was not accessible. Very, very smart but not smart enough. I did not forget so now I am posting this from the Sheraton Times Square and miraculously had no problem accessing this review page.

When it comes to commodity, this hotel will most likely suit your needs, considering it's right outside the airport. The service was quite good and the rooms were satisfying. My only criticism is directed at the restaurant, due to the fact that the food could've been a lot better.

Waited 7 hours for my Jet Blue flight. There was not a cloud in the sky, no storm to speak of in the direction we were going. Yet it was delayed for so long. The airport itself: It's good cause their are not as many people as NY airports. But, their food selections suck. Overpriced trash, sandwiches for 11.50 eyc. That day shouldn't have happened.

Very nice and recently updated Marriott right on the Newark Airport property. Nice modern rooms, excellent gym and a very good restaurant with a bar and Starbucks counter. Lots of meeting space. Hotel used to have a great indoor pool, but sadly they closed it. Shuttle runs about every 10 minutes to all terminals or you can walk it in about the same time. Be careful, as the shuttle is the only hotel that picks you up at each terminal. All others go to P4.
