Impressive building, absolutely worth a visit. Gigantic interior!
The place itself is worth visiting Albany. The Million Dollar Staircase is absolutely mind-blowing. I attended the haunted tour, was very interesting and entertaining.
The Capitol area is very nice and the Capitol is a impressive building. There is some very nice architecture there.
The elected officials are okay.
Here, i was lobbying for the Community and Climate Protection Act (CCPA) and the Climate and Community Investment Act (CCIA) to get passed. This building is not only a great place to visit representatives but it s also a really gorgeous place. Usually, anyone can go in as long as you go through security. It s really cool to be surrounded by all the New York State senators and assembly members. If you happen to be in Albany I would recommend this place!
Here's a problem on CBS news now on the weekdays for name on Stacy Smith is a woman named for man in Pittsburgh PA area and no action has been taken for corrected the name!!!!!!

Hey you use the Coca-Cola's colors are red and white on the government vehicles are on now!!!!!!
Question about the tolls of toll road now but driver want to know if you have any tolls had increase??
Took the guided tour and it was awesome, very informative! I would highly suggest the tour plus allow more time to go back and read other stuff after. You learn all about the capital and history of the state of NY, it was very expensive to build this building and they used 4 architects. There's a little snack shop in the bottom to grab something before the tour. Beautiful building!
We did the free tour on a Saturday morning and it was a great addition to our weekend.
Best place to visit in Albany (with the museum) it's free and they offer also tours around the capitol with specific information, they also show where the court happens. You will learn the history about this building, would see some exhibitions and take nice pictures on perfect spots.
Awesome rally for quality education for every child by Citizen Action and AQE
Very beautiful building 3 side almost same view. Public can t entrance during office hour.
Great piece of history! Definitely check out the senator space and ride the old elevators, it's like being in a bind movie!
Such a friendly place! The buildings are amazing to look at
Amazing. Grew up and have lived in the Albany area for 31 years and have never been to The Capitol, just toured it the other day (free) and couldn't have been more impressed. So much architecture and history and the tour guide was great. Strongly urge anyone who hasn't to take a tour or just wander the halls (totally open to the public during business hours Monday-Friday).
Corrupt staff who dont shy away from breaking whistleblower laws and who are using the state and local police to threaten you to prevent from making the rest of the public aware of judicial misconduct.
The most beautiful building Ive ever seen. Its a must see if you in the Albany area. Alot of history that adults and kids enjoyed in our group of 20 people that visited with me.
Best place to check out in Albany. Open to the public during business hours. Self guided tours available as well as tour groups. worth checking out. Nicest tourist attraction in Albany.
Great group of modern buildings plus one of the oldest State Capitals and perfect photo place
We need resign to run. This means elected persons must resign their office to run for another office. It is simply common sense. Ask yourself if you want to run for an office, will your employer or business continue to pay you even though you're doing something else full-time?
Proud to be a New Yorker and walk through our beautiful and historic State Capital. A must see destination.
You can enter this building for free, but will need to pass through a security checkpoint. The stairwells are historic and fascinating. They best thing to see here though is the Senate and Assembly chambers. Each chamber is ornate and extraordinary in its own way. You may also appreciate the hall of governors (with paintings of each NY governor) and the collection of flags gathered from each war that NY soldiers fought in. Elevators are available to get up and down.
Beautiful building. Lots of European touch both in the exterior and interior.
Historically significant where you get a first hand experience to interact with the seat of NYS Gov't.
The craftsmanship and history of this building is pretty amazing.
Worth the walk up the hill. Take note on the way back down how green and undeveloped the hill accross the river looks. Like a farm out of the days of old.
I went for an Advocacy Day event and hope to come back as a "tourist". Beautiful architecture!
Central Administrative Office of the whole NY State. Elegant huge building boasts it's fine arts and dignity.
It really is a lovely place. Come at lunch for the food trucks.
Incredible interiors. Marble. Granite. Carved sandstone. The masonry carvings with random faces were very interesting. Excellent art gallery.
Definitely a worthwhile tour. Matt, our guide, was excellent and knowledgeable.
If only the laws coming out of this place where as quality of the construction. Our tour guide did a great job
A stellar building that is occasionally filled with less than stellar representatives.
Probably one of the most impressive works of architecture in the world, if not the most majestic state house in the nation.
I love this building. The tour is definitely worth doing.
Went there with my family they came and visit from California it was amazing
This is indubitably the most amazing architecture in the city of Albany. This place reminds of me of the edifice Captain and his seven children lived in the movie Sound of Music . This structure is breathtakingly beautiful, historic, classic and medieval. I was in here with a friend and saw lots of folks taking photos and hanging out at the park.
The place is beautiful. You can really see where the insane amount of taxes collected are going.
My grandchildren and I had a great time at the capital on the tour
The most beautiful state Capitol building in the country. Be sure to check out the million dollar staircase and the other free attractions at the Empire State Plaza.
I will give full rating to this place ..!! An amazing place to visit, I had a very good time to walk over.
Although it s long weekend very less people to maintain social distance.
Loved the capital building. Must go
Probably one of the most beautiful and unique government buildings in the U.S.! An architectural playground that must be seen in order to really appreciate its grand, awesome, and highly stylistic design. Definitely worth the trip to Albany to see it. This is what one would expect to find in the "Empire State". I would add a + to it's Five Star rating! The adjacent Empire State Plaza contains a very impressive set of marble-clad office towers, as well as the New York State Library and Museum.
Great history and architectural detail in this building that took centuries to finish
A very beautiful place! Wonderfully arranged space. It's a shame that I didn't have a chance to visit the inside of the Capitol ... I hope to definitely come back and take some amazing new pictures
Huge building with ornate stairways. Free entrance. Small shop inside and a Dunking Donuts (?!). Friendly security staff. A collection of paintings of Albany and New York State can be found on the first floor.
The tour is free and takes an hour. You can also do a self guided tour. Either one I'd reccomend. The architecture is amazing! Something to see if you're in the Capitol area.
A great visit that all should make at least once. The self guided tour was really beautiful.
It was wonderful to take my son to see where the lawmakers work
Pure history.
very cute
So much to do here. It's a beautiful place. We took the tour around the Senate and our guide was knowledgeable. Definitely a must place to visit as well as the other museums. And they're all free!!!
Politicians to students and everything in between, the highly secure state house is alive with both history and activity!
Total transformation org. We alwaySz here 2 support you. GBA empirical divine services
Beautiful building and a free one hour building your by a knowledgeable woman.
Just ready for a memorial service for firefighters killed in the fall of the twins. impressive. The city is beautiful and sterile
