New Method Wellness saved my life. After years and years of struggling with drug and alcohol abuse and multiple treatment centers I found New Method. The counselors and staff genuinely care and were nothing but kind and respectful. I have learned so much about myself. Today I have a little over 6 months clean and I have a beautiful life. If you're looking for treatment for yourself or a loved one New Method is the best out there!

New method wellness is amazing . They respectfully and compassionately treat the client on an individual level and approach addiction from all angles, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. The staff and clinicians are outstanding, they really genuinely understand and support the ups and downs of the recovery process.The facility ,houses,and rooms are beautiful. Everyone gets all the attention they need and they will not let anyone slip thru the cracks in a caring way. The people there are so nice, knowledgeable, and caring ,from the front desk to the house managers, I just can't say enough about New Method Wellness, they are the best of the best. They saved my life and for that I am forever grateful.

One of the very top treatment centers in America. They are on the cutting edge of mixing new ideologies for treatment and their methods for substance abuse & alcoholism with the methods that have worked in the past. They are superior to their counterparts, other facilities, and what seem like similar treatment centers for the outside. Their reasons for being the best are longer then a Google Review. However, due to their collaborative team efforts in all arenas of their program they were able to expand their facilities to other areas of California. This was due to their success rate and the caring nature of the members that make up the company team.

I know Suzie and Ed and a more compassionate couple would be hard to find! I especially see their compassion in the way they help people recover from their addictions. I have friend's who had the opportunity to be a part of "New Method Wellness" and their lives have a whole new meaning! I highly recommend "New Method Wellness"!!!

New Method is absolutely amazing. From the first phone call I felt like I had someone on my side to help me navigate the process of finding help for my friend. The compassion and support are so far above and beyond any I have encountered from other facilities. I really thought it was too good to be true. They assisted in every aspect of arranging treatment and made it happen safely and quickly. I worried that there was some kind of catch, but I am so happy to say that my friend has found a new life in recovery thanks to New Method.

I came to New Method Wellness January 3rd 2018 and I have almost 10 months sober now. New Method has the best reputation in Southern California for a reason. I have been to other treatment centers and was unsuccessful because they lacked essentials in what is required to build a solid foundation in recovery. Their individualized care and treatment plan for each client allows for development in specific areas that differ from person to person. Every single staff member cares about the clients and they make sure that every aspect of treatment is done ethically with integrity. Adventure therapy and wolf therapy is awesome and they make sure to take clients out on weekends so you don t always feel like you are in a treatment setting. All of the counselors are amazing but they will match you with one to meet your specific needs. They have alumni groups Thursday s so you continue to feel their support after you leave. They also will help you develop a thorough after care plan. New Method Wellness is like a family that I will always be a part of and I am eternally grateful for them.

New Method Wellness put together a team of doctors, counselors and trauma specialist based on their 15 important questions relating to my addictions that I had to answer as honestly as possible. As a result, I have worked through my childhood trauma developing strength, confidence, self love, and determination to complete this journey. This journey at NMW has saved my life. I made friends with the entire staff I now consider family. If you find yourself in darkness, and you want to grab the hands of people that hold love, compassion, understanding, empathy, sympathy with intelligence, safety, and your success a number one goal, reach out to NMW. I am on day 99. I am happy, joyous, free! A feeling I used to dream about. Now I am living it.

Hands down the best experience any family could ask for, caring, compassionate, and available. Treatment is not easy. Having a qualified staff that really understands, makes all the difference. Dr. Phil is right, these people really are a top shelf program!

This place is terrible. One of the counselors was smoking a vaporizer as we were discussing my "addiction" problems. Then one of the directors called CPS on my wife after inquiring about my past drug use. Seems counterproductive. This is not a place for addicts, this is a place to line the pocketbooks of the owners. Beware. EDIT: After I posted this review I was contacted by a family member insisting I remove the review or they would not receive the refund promised to them FYI

UPDATE: I am still being harrassed by CPS because of this place. Be careful with the information you share with them.

A little over a year ago, I sat outside my house in Seattle in the dark and alone. I was high, for what I prayed would be my last time. I was lost, broken, and desperate. I sat on the side of my yard, against my house where no one could see me and just cried. I begged someone to help me. Anyone. I couldn't live that life anymore. My sister was in the house with my children. I knew they were safe but I also knew I wasn't. I sat there until my ride came. I kissed my precious babies goodbye and I left. I don't remember anything after that point. It would be 3 days before I have my first memory of California. By the grace of God I somehow navigated getting on the right plane, to the right person at the Orange County airport, and into the doors of New Method Wellness. It would be the beginning of my new life. In that moment, everything I had known had changed. New Method Wellness saved my life. The staff, the groups, the counseling, and other clients, all made for such a healing experience. I learned who I really was, obtained the tools on how to live a sober life, and made lifelong friends along the way. Today, a year later, I have my own apartment, a supportive family, my children, and a support network in sobriety that is solid. Thank you so much New Method Wellness for helping me get a new life and for teaching me a new and better way to live.

The entire staff at New Method Wellness has been amazing in helping my son begin the process of recovery. The facilities are fantastic. The staff is warm, caring, knowledgable and motivated to help alcoholics and addicts be successful in their recovery. This is no court mandated, hospital-like, 30-day dumping ground for people that aren't ready. They maintain the high standards and expectations that they've set, and ensure that their clients hold up their end of the bargain. My son is a changed man. He has really grasped the concepts and is completely on-board with the program. I'll be forever grateful to Susie and Ed and the whole staff for what they've done.

I will keep this at four stars to show my respect for some members of the staff, but will update it with a detailed review soon.

This is a great option for a loved one seeking help... I feel fortunate to have worked with experts in the field who are associated with New Method. They have very trusted and sincere reputations, have been doing this a long time, and hold a high level of professionalism.

New Method Wellness played a huge roll in providing me a safe and loving environment to heal and grow. I have been to a few treatment centers before NMW, and none of them even came close to the experience NMW offers. They give you the foundation on which to build your sobriety. Nothing is handed to you, and you are expected to work hard for your sobriety, very much like it will be in the real world. It is that kind of experience that makes this recovery center top notch. The staff at New Method Wellness were so professional and treated me like family at the same time. Everyone knew my name the minute I walked through the door. They helped take care of any of my personal business which could have be a distraction to my recovery. The facilities are so clean and beautiful and they took care of everything including medical, food and personal needs. I loved the program and the activities. The individual counseling I received from 2 separate designated counselors and a psychiatrist was top-notch.

New method wellness literally saved my life. I entered treatment January 26, 2016. I ve been a herrion addict and meth addict since I was 16, I thought there was absolutely no way for a solution for my diseases. At new method wellness I didn t find out that I just had a drug problem but I had a living problem as well. New method wellness does a great job at tackleing every trauma that has happened in your life and giving you the tools too live and coup with mental illness. I m proud too say since the day I entered new method I haven t picked up a drug or drink, I just celebrated my 3 years clean and sober!! New method gave me the grift of sobriety and sobriety gave me the gift of life. I am now married with a daughter and I couldn t be more thankful for my recovery!!

We are forever indebted to the incredible interventions by the staff at New Method Wellness when our adult son was in severe crisis with depression and alcoholism. We spoke on the phone with many different treatment centers, but the ONLY intake counselor who ever asked us if our son was present and asked to speak directly with him was Brook with NMW. After that 45 minute phone call, our son was relieved and said NMW was the place for him. A few days later, he was checked in and accepting the help he needed to save his own life. It has been a transformational experience for him to be treated and mentored by people who have walked this walk before him. This does not mean it has been an easy path--recovery is challenging and difficult and an individual's commitment to getting well is is most important factor, but the clinical staff at NMW has been amazing, and in hindsight, it was of vital importance that they be able to relate to the same struggles as our son and serve as examples of finding lifelong success in recovery--the messenger is just as important as the message, and all down the line, everyone at NMW can speak with honest empathy about their own path to recovery. Equally important, the strong focus at NMW on healing as a family has restored a lot of trust and provided a solid foundation for moving forward. For the first time in years, our son can imagine a good future for himself and knows he was worth saving, and we are equally hopeful. We cannot thank NMW enough. They have been so kind and stabilizing toward us during the frightening time of the crisis, and a lifesaver to our son who feels well and is proudly, fiercely sober.

New Method Wellness provided excellent service during a difficult time in my life. I was fresh off of a major back surgery and they beautifully integrated very complex physical therapies into my recovery plan. I have been to many other treatment centers and can honestly say that New Method Wellness has, by far, the nicest facilities and most experienced and staff. I could tell everyone there really cares. Besides the physical therapy, they also provided other services I had never previously experienced in treatment, such as acupuncture, massage, equine therapy, and ANS therapy. I followed their simple suggestions and after a very short period have my life back and am happy.

New Method Wellness is a well oiled machine. They do it right. They are honest, the houses are immaculate, the best of the best COUNSELORS AND STAFF. Owners Ed and Sue are fair and sincerely care about their clients. Don't look anywhere else! There are a lot of crooks in the industry.

New method wellness is truly a one of a kind place! Each staff member cared so much for each individual client. I found all of the groups to be very educational and beneficial. Another plus was how beautiful all of the homes are! New method wellness helped me find a way to sobriety and I m so thankful!

I highly recommend New Method Wellness. There is no higher standard of care. The individualized treatment plans are based on client need and the resulting care from the clinicians and staff is amazing. I consider them family. They certainly treat the clients as such. Other treatment centers do not go to the lengths of care in my opinion. Their accreditations speak for themselves.

New method wellness simply changed my life. I came in 11/09/2017 and have been sober ever since. As soon as I arrived in CA, I was picked up by a staff member from the airport and taken to the center where I met the entire staff who I call my family today. I was given an individualized plan that fit my needs perfectly with sessions from counselors that went above and beyond to help me. I came in to this treatment center broken and left a new man. I owe my life to New Method. It s been 11 months since I discharged from New Method and with their aftercare for clients and amazing staff that reach out to me on a weekly basis I feel I never left. Thank you New Method, I would not have the incredible life I have today if I never went through this program.

New Method Wellness is an amazing treatment facility! Their extremely organized and professional staff specialize in the disease of addiction. Their primary objective is to make sure the clients are treated with the utmost respect, care, and compassion. Their holistic approach to recovery surpasses that of any other treatment center: New Method offers clients art therapy, yoga, surf therapy, massage, equine therapy, acupuncture, and wolf therapy (to name a few.) But, despite keeping the clients busy, New Method also takes the time to address the needs of the individual client through personal counseling and group therapy. Thus, each client's treatment is unique. (And no one is treated like a number.) I would highly recommend New Method Wellness to anyone who struggles with addiction. There is truly no place like it!

I have been working in the field of Substance Abuse and Mental Health for over 6yrs. In several different capacities. I have toured, interacted and considered being of service to many centers. Unfortunately "Quality of Care" Standards can be VERY compromised in this field. The Team at New Method Wellness is second to none. From my initial contact, to the praise reports of those they serve, I am grateful when someone in need is able to receive services within their community. Brook McKenzie in Admissions is a like minded passionate and caring individual with a heart to serve. I am grateful to have met a peer with the such rare integrity and concern. The decision makers Susie and Ed have made it their life's work to assure a life changing opportunity to those they are able to assist. I am beyond grateful for who/what this team represents.

It has taken a few months to digest the aftermath of this particular treatment center as it's related to our 26 year old Son who was admitted back in Aug. of 2016 through Nov. 2016 and although we commend New Method and their Counselor, for his detox and also keeping him from prescription drugs, we still find ourselves somewhat dissapointed in the facility, as he did not have the adequate diagnoses or treatment for his underlining emotional conditions. To the contrary, we were told that he was just "spoiled" and needed to grow up and "figure it out". In the months since leaving the facility, and still clean & sober from prescription drugs, as a united family we are still struggling with a sweet young man that clearly still has no direction, who is still suffering with anxiety and emotional issues. New Method talks a Great Game, not denying that, but when it comes to a Dual Diagnosis & the "Aftercare" Treatment, they are most certainly ill-equipped!!

The team at New Method truly cares about their clients recovery and helping them live better lives. I went in completely broken and not knowing why I couldn t stop, and they helped not only discover my issue but helped me learn to cope, heal, and live one day at a time. My life today is so much better than I ever thought possible and it s thanks to them for teaching me and helping me discover how to live a better and healthier life. I am so grateful for New Method Wellness. Susie and her team educate, support, and positively affect the whole person and the family dynamics contributing to the problem. As she told me, often we want to give them everything they want and don't say 'no' when we should. As counter intuitive as it is, we have our role to play supporting addicts with tough love. Brooke McKenzie is one of the best! I promise you i was at a point in my life where I was struggling so much. I did not know where to go. So I picked up the phone and called different treatment centers, long story short they weren't the ones. I ran across NMW online and just decided to call. When Brooke answered the phone it was such a different experience with him than any other people I've ever dealt with anywhere else I reached out to. He talked to me like I was a human not just dollars signs. He made me feel, the first time in a long time, hope. I am now almost 7 months sober and NMW has been a big piece of why this is. When I was at New Method Wellness I was dealing with chronic pain and I was having difficulty being able to sit through the full length of the classes. When I would leave the room I would ice my back. One time when I was icing my back , Susie (Owner of New Method Wellness) came to me yelling and screaming that I had to go. She immediately called my father and made up a false story saying I called her very disrespectful names and that she was kicking me out of the program. I never called her any names and I was actually very calm. Her employees were very shocked when they realized what she was doing to me. I could sense how badly they felt for me. She made one employee drop me off at a train station with no money at all for me to get home across the country to New Jersey. All because I had been dealing with an injury but clearly she had something against me for some reason. One thing I learned about her the first couple days of my stay was that she played favorites with the privileges to clients. I would have given no stars if I could. I would never recommend this place to anyone seriously seeking help.

It is difficult to write an online review about something hidden from the public for such a long time. At least that was the way I viewed my world before, dark and hidden. But somehow I landed on the doorsteps of New Method Wellness, and for places within me that have not seen the light of day for years, it is no longer always nighttime. New Method Wellness introduced me to the word hope, a part of my vocabulary that disappeared years before. The program at New Method Wellness helped me get up from the ground, back on my feet, and now my world is level. While it s been almost nine months since I first walked into the doors of New Method Wellness, I am starting to reenter society in ways I never thought possible. I am so grateful for New Method Wellness, it s hard to put into words. When I came to NMW I had lost the luster for life that everyone deserves. Clouded by alcohol and other things, my life was spiraling downward. I was letting down everyone in my life, my parents, my wife, my kids, my friends and family and myself. New method wellness saved my brothers life. After countless attempts to get him help our prayers have been answered. From the moment I made the call I knew this place was the a cut above the rest. I spoke with Brook Mackenzie who displayed a level of professionalism I really appreciate. He made the process of getting my brother into treatment there as easy as possible. From the moment he arrived we had constant communication from the treatment team. We went to weekly family meetings and attended their family program which was such a healing experience for all of us. Words cannot express the gratitude I have for the people at New Method Wellness. I know we has a long way to go but I haven t seen this version of my brother in decades. It is truly amazing to see the difference. I am truly grateful for New Method Wellness. I knew if our son did not get treatment he would either in up in jail or dead. The staff at New Method Wellness had such a positive impact on him. First, I would tell you that I did not end up attending New Method Wellness. After calling more than a dozen dual diagnosis treatment centers, all of them trying to sell me on why their program was so great, I called New Method Wellnes. This is when everything changed. For starters, I could tell immediately that I was speaking to a professional, someone that asked me questions, inquired about my needs, my life, my feelings, and what I was actually looking for. I shared all I could and when I was done I was told very politely and sincerely that there were better options for me than New Method Wellness. Thanks to the man I spoke with on the phone, I ended up going to Onsite Workshops in TN to do some much needed trauma work. It s been over two years since I called New Method Wellness and its been that long since I ve intended to write this review.

I called to seek out assistance for my son who is battling a drug addiction, going on 7 years. Both Brooke and KC were extremely helpful in providing all the information and help we needed. Their compassion, understanding and willingness to go above and beyond to help was very much appreciated.

Would not recommend this facility for anyone looking for a safe place or a warm or welcoming environment . Had a conversation on the phone with an incredibly angry and impatient woman who apparently was the owner... She seemed burnt out and treated me like I was a total inconvenience. I conducted an assessment with an actual entrance counselor before talking to her, and had the whole trip planned and ready to go. But she called to talk to me (she wasn t really sure why...) the day before my planned arrival and informed me right off the bat that I couldn t go there if I didn t have a problem... and I didn t appear to have a serious problem. Once the conversation began, she only grew more impatient and rude, which I found incredibly disheartening coming from the owner of a wellness facility. We aren t here to serve you, you re a facility to serve and help others. It breaks my heart to think about all the people who ve missed out on help completely because she said that they couldn t find help there.

Real nice, clean, new facility and super comfortable.
All staff I ve ran into are Very nice and attentive to the clients.
treated like a unique person not packed together with same plan for everyone. Lgbtq groups, programs for older people, programs for younger people, and not all crammed together. Doctors are really detailed and put together a treatment that s customized just to fit you.Lots of outdoor activity, beach and surf and animal therapy s.
There were only like 2 other clients so way more attention for you and time for therapy. Had two therapists Ready available anytime to talk could talk to all the other counselors too anytime. Good trauma work and California weather always sunny and warm.

I friend just asked me RECOVERY? What happened??? This is just a glimpse of what happened and in my mind(a very scary place) it was normal behavior...no moral compass!

Had a manic episode that lasted months. Ruined my marriage, ruined my relationship with my gf in Monterey and strained my relationship w/my family, ruined my relationship with my daughter. Strained & ruined many relationships with friends...too many to mention. Lost my job at DOLE! I can only humbly ask for their forgiveness one day.

Overa 6 month manic episode, I had Multiple arrests, alcohol, drugs & women. Smuggled coke in my prison glove from Vegas to SF. Had 3 choices, Recovery for 6 months, prison or die.
I chose New Method Wellness: a dual diagnosis program in San Juan Capistrano. The owners, Susie, Ed, Deanna & Bing along with my therapists esp Linda Snell SAVED MY LIFE! Everyone at NMW, the entire STAFF cares deeply about the clients & their recovery. This place IS a family. Even when I screw up and get a write up (1 so far) it s based on constructive criticism and not out of spit. I m truly grateful for the staff and their never ending support!
They taught me how to live a new life, work on changing my character defects (which I had & still have many) and work the 12 steps of AA. I pray expectantly! I pray every day to be of service to others!

New Method Wellness helped me to build the foundation upon which I have been able to rebuild my life. During my 15 year struggle with addiction I ended up in many treatment centers, hoping that each of them had a miracle cure that would fix me overnight. New Method Wellness taught me that no such cure exists and that the road to recovery involves hard work and significant lifestyle changes. The counselors and staff were caring and competent and I never felt like just another client like I had at previous treatment centers. I just celebrated 2 years of sobriety on November 22nd and my life is beyond what I would have even thought to hope for 2 years ago and I have NMW to thank.

My girlfriend had an amazing and eye opening experience during her 45 days here. However they had her on 4 different prescription medications, including Seroquel (quetiapine) which is well documented in peer reviewed scientific articles to cause false positive drug test results for methadone. Of course she kept getting multiple positive drug tests for methadone but when she tried to show them the scientific articles they got mad and asked why she wasn't just admitting she relapsed.

You would think with the salaries these people make that they would take 5 seconds out of their lives to look this up themselves (or even glance at the article given to them), but instead they kicked her out. I'm so proud of the progress my girlfriend made here and so disappointed at the lack of compassion and knowledge from the staff at this center.

This truly was a life changing experience. During my stay at New Method Wellness I was able to get to the core of my addiction and work through some very intense childhood trauma. Along with the support of the staff.. and there are some who will always hold a special place in my heart... I feel free!! Do I still have some ups and downs... we all do... but they have equipped me with skills I use daily to control the emotions and anxiety that fueled my addiction. We sent our son to New Method Wellness this past January. He was in a very bad place. From the beginning, New Method Wellness helped us navigate a very difficult and trying set of circumstances. The staff were incredibly responsive, educated us on the process and within a few days had our son in their program. They worked with our insurance company to help offset some of the costs. They worked with us to understand how the process would work. They helped us set up travel from the Midwest to their Orange County facility. They literally saved his life and gave us ( his family ) hope. New Method Wellness personnel are the best in the industry. The facilities are incredible and the multi-step process they use is ideal. They treated his mental and physical health with equal vigor. At the conclusion of the program, the family visit exceeded our expectations. We went through a very difficult process but the result was game changing. Since our son completed the program, the staff remain dedicated to helping us navigate his future. They have been terrific with follow up questions and assistance. If you are looking for a world class rehabilitation program, New Method Wellness is the one. I would recommend NMW to anyone who is facing this extremely challenging situation.

NMW was instrumental in my recovery. I was treated well and learned a ton about trauma and PTSD issues. While every treatment center has its issues; I certainly felt well cared for and taken care of.

I was recently a client at New Method Wellness. I was in a tough and desperate spot in my life. I was welcomed with open arms by not only the employees but also all of the other clients. The housing was incredible, the treatment facility was first class and the people that helped me take back my life and happiness are absolutely amazing and life long friends.

Wish we would of found new method wellness 5 years ago. We had almost given up on the idea that treatment could work for our daughter. From the beginning we knew this place was different. For starters, they welcomed us on site to visit, we actually had two separate in person meetings and assessments before our daughter admitted. Unlike the other places, they asked for records from former treatments centers and from her therapist and psychiatrist. They even made me and my wife both write a biography on our daughter and the family so they could better understand her history, and what we had been through. It felt like a lot of work and we were frustrated in the beginning because it felt like she wasn t going to be accepted but she was. The family program is very thorough and we walked away feeling like we could finally all say what we felt, and not have to dance around the hard topics. We got updates every week from both of her therapist and we never felt like we didn t know what was going on. Best of all, there was an actual plan for her coming home. They set up the aftercare, a case manger, and even got my wife to attend a program in Arizona for co-dependency where she went for a full week that really helped her and us a lot. We feel like new metbod wellness really cared about us, and went the extra mile. We have a sober daughter today and a happy family. Thank you.

I went to New Method Wellness almost 4 year ago. Unsure of what to expect or even how this works, as I have never been into treatment before. Everyone was so kind, helpful and caring. The program let me work on me, giving the tools to use so that I could understand my addiction and pave the way for a sober life. What an AMAZING program. As of today, 1371 days sober. MUCH LOVE AND MANY HUGS.

What can I say besides that I am forever grateful to New Method Wellness and all of their staff members. I came in, scared, confused, lost & broken. Not wanting to spend more than 30 days in treatment I actually wound up staying 64. This is a top notch facility from the treatment center, to the residential housing, to the staff members. Everyone here from the owners to the house managers truly care about you and your well being. They have activities planned all of the time, you get to go to the beach and play volleyball or surf. There's even equine & wolf therapy! They show you that not only can you be sober but you can have fun in sobriety as well. They take you to AA meetings every day, you see a therapists twice a week, I could go on and on about everything they do for you as a client/patient. If you want to stay sober and be set up for success in and after treatment, this is the place for you. That being said you must put in the work while you are at New Method Wellness. I have been an alcoholic since I was 14. I kept trying to tell myself that it was just a stage that I was going through, but nothing would get better, except for the hiding of my alcoholism. At least in thought I was pretty good at it.
I ve gone through so much trauma, confusion and loss in my life that I assumed that one time when the incident would slowly pass I instantly would become a normal drinker again. We all fool ourselves into that lie over and over again. Then another crisis would happen and I was right back into the mess that I had made of my life and and all of those who s lives that were unfortunate enough to have been touched by me.
When I was 48 years old I saw an ad on Facebook for a place called New Method Wellness so just out of curiosity I called them and spoke to Brook. Maybe the reason why I called them directly was because I thought that there was no possibile way that I would get such a wonderful opportunity. Well I was completely wrong, I was on an airplane at 2:45 that morning and I was there by 10 o clock that morning. I walked through the doors and instantly thought to myself this was not going to be for me. I am a country girl, I don t go to centers that look like this or deal with people that treat me as good as these people did. I walked through the building and everybody knew my name and introduced themselves to me. I met people from all walks and areas of life. Some, t assumed I would have lots in common with, and some I had nothing in common with, either. After going through the program i realized that we all were there for so many similarities that I have so much in common with all of them and I built such close ties with all most of them. I even talk to my counselor as much as possible. New method saved my life I can honestly say that. I don t think I could ve ever gone anywhere else that would ve understood me and treated me with compassion and love and had so many different areas to work with on me. I learned about trauma and what that has to do with what I suffer from and why I ve held onto it for so long. I learned about relationships and which ones are good to keep and which ones that you just need to let go of. I love and care for everybody that I met there. These people truly cared about me and truly cared about my sobriety. From my treatment to where I lived to the relationships I made and the extracurricular activities, meetings, volunteering, all had to do with my sobriety. I have gone to four other treatment centers and I cannot even compare them to the experience I had there. You can be who you are you can love who you want you can have the people that you will be very close with forever and the people that will have made an impact on your life forever. Again, they saved my life and I will always be so grateful to them so will all my children my family and my husband and friends. I find myself missing being there and I can t wait to go there again just to visit them on my anniversary of November 30th 2018. No matter how much hype or how comfortable you are with your surroundings, it is and was the best thing I could ve done for myself. I love you all and I will thank you all for the rest of my life. I can t wait to see everyone again and to those who think that this is just not for them, do what I did just call.

When searching for a rehab facility for our son with dual diagnosis, there were many available in Southern California. After extensive research, we reached out to New Method Wellness. They assured us that they could help our son detox from multiple substances, and follow up with an individualized residential treatment program. We could not be happier with the results so far. My son has been in and out of rehabs for the past 10 years. I never felt that he received the care and treatment he needed. As with any addiction not treated correctly, it only gets worse with time. His health began to be effected, so much so, that he began to have seizures. He was in ICU twice within a matter of 4 months. I have never felt so hopeless in my life.
I had heard of New Method Wellness. I had read about their facilities and staff, and felt that there approach might actually work for him. Once my son made the decision to seek treatment he reached out to Brook at New Method while still in the hospital. From the moment he spoke to Brook, he was in constant contact with son. 3 years ago today I arrived at New Method Wellness. I was scared and didn t know what to expect! Everyone from intake through out the first day and everyday after was kind and helpful. I've been treated respectfully and kind throughout the whole process. They helped me address my LGBT concerns as it related to my recovery. I went to New Method Wellness 4 years and 8 months ago. I can t say enough good things about them. Their program and continued love and support changed my life. The staff was always gracious and supportive while equipping me with the tools needed to stay sober once I left NMW. Additionally, the environment made me feel safe during a time when I needed that desperately. Also, the center itself and the homes were outstanding. Well I'll just start by saying I was a lost soul close to death when my wife and friend found New Method Wellness and flew me out to California the next day! From there I was in inpatient for 60 days and well at first I hated it due to the circumstances and being away from my wife and kiddos, but thanks to everyone at new method I got my life back and also made some amazing friends and people I can count on to always be there for me! I just want everyone who is struggling with alcohol and or drugs, to get help now it's not too late to save ur life and new method is the way to go! They treat you like family and made the rehab process so much more enjoyable than what it seems! so if u r looking for a great place to get clean and sober and make life long friends, I advise u to call new method and get ur butt there ASAP! It will save ur life! And all the staff well almost all are ex addicts and alcoholics, who know exactly what u r goin through and with the help of there professional staff u will leave there wanting to either stay or go back! I had so much fun while working on me that I'd do it again but without the drugs and alcohol! I'd go back just to be around these wonderful life savers and friends! I miss y'all there and can't wait to come back for a visit!!

I went to NMW and my experience was excellent. NMW gave me back my dignity, self respect, and self worth. The staff is very professional and understood my disease. They made me feel like I was important and they made me feel like they cared. All the therapists are excellent and professional! I received massages, acupuncture, adventure therapy, equine therapy, wolf therapy and had an addiction psychiatrist. All of this contributed to my recovery. This program pushes AA which played a huge part in my recovery. I highly recommend this program for any person who suffers from addiction. This program helped me to become a better person. I'm approaching 6 months of sobriety and I am happy being sober, I feel so good, and I will never become a slave to my addiction again. When I approached this program they treated all ages from 18 - to 60, and it made no difference what age the person was. I am so grateful for this program. They gave me my life back and I am so glad I went to treatment at NMW!

No place is perfect and they did do some things that aggravated me or that could have been done more effective or efficiently, in my opinion. However, in retrospect it s clear to me that their programming is probably some of the best out there and most all of their staff is some of the best out there. This is one of the few places I ve been to that actually truly does care and actually truly would like to see you succeed and in turn tries to set you up for success.

As an alumni of the program, and now a professional in the treatment industry, I can say that New Method Wellness has an incomparable program. From the facilities and houses, to the different therapy techniques employed to best serve the client, they stand above the rest in order to provide the best care possible. Every treatment professional there is constantly working hard to be informed on the newest procedures and perspectives for working with addicts and alcoholics. Personally, I never knew that a group of people could care so much about me. Susie and the staff there gave me the love and support I needed to find a better way of life. They helped me turn into a true man of the world, which is a far-cry from the dying heroin addict I used to be.

At first I didn t want to be there. New metbod wellness is very structured and organized, there are a lot of rules, and they create a very safe, secure environment that s what I didn t like! But I ve been to 6 other nationally recognized treatment centers and none of them even come close to comparing to new metbod wellness. I had my own private team dedicated all to me, two therapist, a Psychiatrist, a nutritionist, a nurse, a physician assistant, and MD. I could see any of them any time I had an issue. At my other world class treatments, it was almost 100% groups. You might have one or two private sessions per week and that was it! In my opinion that s what makes new method wellness different. It is individualized. While they do have a lot of rules and structure, they more than make up for it with careful attention to detail and high quality clincial care.

New Method Wellness saved my life. The staff are amazing and Susie and Ed and Deanna and Bing treated me like family. Ive been to several treatment centers prior to NMW and never had an experience as wonderful as I did there. I am forever grateful for NMW.

As a graduate of this program I can confidently say that this treatment center is not for everyone. If you are not ready to work hard, do a ton of clinical work, and be evaluated and assessed from top to bottom, this will not be a place that you enjoy. If you re looking for a spa to go relax at, please move on and look elsewhere. Sure you get massages and surf lessons; yes, you get to play with wolves and horses and all of the yoga, acupuncture and beautiful sunsets you can stand...but at the end of the day these people mean business. This is a hard program that demands devotion, commitment, and surrender. The majority of people that were there, and very serious about changing their lives and improving themselves did fantastic and loved it! The other 10%, the ones that wanted all the benefits but weren t willing to do the work to get them, they only lasted about a week. Like I said, it s definitely not for everyone.

Our family has been touched by the people at New Method. Our son is on the road to recovery. We have no promises or guarantees what the future will bring for our son. My sons recovery begins with him. He has been given tools and support from the people there. They are there to guide him and cheer him on but they can only do so much. I have yet to find a facility that can promise recovery and if they do I recommended you weigh your decision. Our son is still in recovery there and may be for some time. He has a life that will always test his strength and we pray he will take all that he is learning there and use it for a life time. Unfortunately recovery is expensive and Insurance Companies are not on our side. Brook takes no pleasure in having to turn people away. I am sure it hurts him deeply but if you ask him he will give you some tips when finding the right place for you. I am thankful everyday since they have come into our lives.
