I friend just asked me RECOVERY? What happened??? This is just a glimpse of what happened and in my mind(a very scary place) it was normal behavior...no moral compass!

Had a manic episode that lasted months. Ruined my marriage, ruined my relationship with my gf in Monterey and strained my relationship w/my family, ruined my relationship with my daughter. Strained & ruined many relationships with friends...too many to mention. Lost my job at DOLE! I can only humbly ask for their forgiveness one day.

Overa 6 month manic episode, I had Multiple arrests, alcohol, drugs & women. Smuggled coke in my prison glove from Vegas to SF. Had 3 choices, Recovery for 6 months, prison or die.
I chose New Method Wellness: a dual diagnosis program in San Juan Capistrano. The owners, Susie, Ed, Deanna & Bing along with my therapists esp Linda Snell SAVED MY LIFE! Everyone at NMW, the entire STAFF cares deeply about the clients & their recovery. This place IS a family. Even when I screw up and get a write up (1 so far) it s based on constructive criticism and not out of spit. I m truly grateful for the staff and their never ending support!
They taught me how to live a new life, work on changing my character defects (which I had & still have many) and work the 12 steps of AA. I pray expectantly! I pray every day to be of service to others!
I changed and so did my priorities. My God & my program are fist! I m second & family 3rd. The way it MUST be to live a grateful, sober, productive life!!! GOD BLESS!!!
