Though to he rooms were comfortable and accommodating, the whole situation is just a nickel and dime scheme. You see, I can understand taxes and incidental fees, etc. But the fact that there's no free parking for guests, and they mislead you by saying "$16.65 Maximum" it doesn't say per night, doesn't warn you about it, then when you check out the parking bill is for however many days your car was in there multiplied by $16.65. which, for a traveler on a budget, is damn disgraceful. Then they have staff trying to barge into your room every few hours. I have valuables, forgive me if I don't want people snooping. The whole visit on what was supposed to be a stress free experience, certainly made me leave more stressed than when I arrived. The Hilton can go push daisies as far as I'm concerned.
Can t recommend this place for the following reasons 1. There is nothing special about it 2. I arrived late at night used my corporate card to check in and was told it required a Pin. I have never been asked for a Pin, told the clerk I didn t have a Pin and he told me I was SOL. 3. It s expensive, see number 1 above The DMV offers better service
-The rooms smell smoke (we tried 2 rooms) -No cooler in the rooms -No minibar -No bathrobe just the towels -Breakfast?.. Forget about it. They have just 10 tables in breakfast room for all hotel on 14th floor. Just one employee is working but honestly he is really work good (04/17/2016) -No electric outlet left side of the bed. + comfortable very good pillows + comfortable mattress +valley service +lobby We just came from NY to stay this Hotel for three night.But..The rooms smell smoke. We changed room but others same. They try to hide smoke smell to use Febreze but still smell smoke. If you hate smoking like us we don't recomend this Hilton. They are saying non smoking room but smell smoke.
From valet harassing about a paper ticket to Rebecca and Rodrico at the front desk, all the way to the maids. Worst experience I ve ever had at a Hilton and to say I am in Woodland Hills being treated like this. I told the valet guy I couldn t find my ticket and he literally asked me if I could look and try to find it, I go up to my room and they make only one of the king beds in my room (weirdest thing), i call down to guest services and was treated like I was lying about the one bed situation. RebeccA seemed like it was a hassle to have someone come make my bed when the hassle is coming to your hotel in hopes to relax after a 15 hour work day and your bed is un-made with your co workers belongings all over it... I went to complain to Rodrico who I was told was the manager and he acted like it was no big deal. My company continuously books myself and colleagues at this hotel and I will make sure we request somewhere else.
Really poor front desk staff. After 10 frustrating minutes, the manager had to step in to check me in. Rooms are old and dated. I know they are going through renovations, but would stay at another location in the future. On the upside this is where Obama stayed during his last visit to LA. I have stayed here twice. Nice and attentive hosts on executive lounge.
I come to Woodland Hills often and always stay at this hotel close to my family and friends on many previous times we stayed at Hilton we didn't get charged for parking spot but this time 02/15/20 we got charged $44 for two nights for a parking spot. I believe it is expensive $22 for leaving a vehicle in a parking when you already pay for your room, this is the last time i stay at Hilton woodland hills.
Was not what I expected, hotel was under renovation, room was small, did not have microwave nor fridge. Tried cancelling reservations that were made through a 3rd party, and was very difficult to get a hold of "managers" to assist with the situation. Never again will we reserve a hotel at any Hilton locations nor recommend them. They did not refund 5 days we did not stay there, which the director said he had no problem refunding. Hopefully it'll be resolved once taken up to someone higher.
I stayed at the hotel this past weekend. When I made the reservation I told them I would have two dogs at the hotel one of the nights. When I checked in also said I would have two dogs. They said ok great we are dog friendly. Fast forward to when we get the dogs to the hotel. I get a call from the front desk saying they have a 50 lb maximum for all dogs. And the dogs are not welcome in the hotel. NO WHERE did they ask about the size of the dogs. When I made the reservation or when I checked in. I understand about policy s but when you make the reservation they need to be upfront and tell you. It was not handled in a good way. I will NEVER stay at a Hilton again.
Worst customer service ever. Another horrible Hilton experience. Typical Hilton responses to issues - hotel says it corporate and corporate says it's the hotel.
Conrad is rolling over in his grave at the poor quality of this hotel that uses his name. A/C makes terrible noises all night. Moved to new room that smell like smoke in a non smoking... Next room A/C turns off in middle of the night and we wake up dripping. No apology, no offer to reduce bill or anything. Front desk was incompetent and rude. We will nevercstay on this Hilton again. Warner Center area has other options. I suggest you use them.
Not a great experience. I went here for my anniversary. First thing, they did not offer any bonus feature. Usually all hotels do that on special occasions. It could be as simple as a cheap champagne, but not even that. Of course, i assume it is not a high level hotel so I let it slide. However, the second reason is why they get and deserve a 1-star. We were at floor 10 and close to our room was an ice room with an ice machine. From early in the morning to late night, hotel staffs would come to pick up ice and they were talking loudly and shouting with/at each other. I definitely do not like to wake up with others shouting. Finally, we went to the hotel bar/restaurant with some friends and I can say it was the worst food we have eaten in LA. After few bites, I stopped eating due to the terrible taste. But according to my friend and my wife who continued (they were too hungry), the French fries was the worst French fries they have ever eaten. How can you screw up frying potatoes? Overall, I think there are better choices in LA, so avoid this hotel.
Lets start with noise, i was on level 3 above lobby and constant chatter and noise. Then $19 a day to park....are you kidding me???? $12 a day for internet and best of all NO POOL! This place was a joke for a Hilton, my Hilton honors card is going into the trash, i am done with this nonsense
Our stay at The Hilton in Woodland Hills, CA, was the absolute worst hotel experience we have ever had. We rented a $300/night suite on their executive floor, expecting things to be GREAT, as they usually are at that price. But it was anything but. It was 100 degrees outside when we arrived, and our suite had the AC set to 'off' so it was smoldering hot in there for the first 2 hours till it finally cooled down. As if that wasn't enough, the lights in the whole suite were controlled by a photo-cell. Meaning that every 10-15 minutes or so, the lights went out in the whole suite, and we had to wave our hands frantically to activate the photo-cells to turn the lights on. This would be acceptable in a $40/night roadside motel...but in a $300 Hilton suite, not so much. Extremely cheap touch. But the most disappointing part of our stay in this hotel was their new, shockingly selfish Room Service policy. We've stayed in lots of hotels throughout Covid, and all other hotels we've been to still offer room service, the only difference being that the person delivering it wears a mask and gloves, then drops it at your door after knocking on your door, or calling you to let you know your food has arrived. But nope, not the Hilton! In an embarrassingly transparent attempt to take advantage of the current situation and save money, we were told that they had ELIMINATED room service. Why, I asked? "For the safety of our guests' I was told. Let's review: Having a masked, gloved worker who only uses the service elevator, thus not having any human contact with the guests, then drops it off at your room, is somehow (mystically) endangering the safety of their guests... Their solution? Every guest must go down to the lobby (spending time in the elevator VERY close to other guests on the way down, followed by lots of close encounters in the lobby. You then have to grab their QR Code on your phone (not a problem at all, but if they really cared about guest safety, they would post that QR code inside every guest room, so guests wouldn't have to make that trip down, exposing themselves to more risk). Next, you order your food from the front desk. And now you have the option between spending 15-45 minutes in the lobby waiting for your food (while tons of people who could infect you come in and out of the lobby, as well as other people waiting for their food), or going back to your room, then coming back, again doubling up on your risk of getting Covid. Finally, you get your food, which of course is delivered to you by the same person who otherwise would have dropped the food at your door. Conclusion: The Hilton (at least this Hilton) shows a shocking lack of care for their guests, willfully exposing us to other guests, instead of keeping room service the way it used to be - a completely safe-for-all drop-off at your door. I will never stay at a Hilton again after this experience.
This guy said our parking was free he charged us! Dont stay here!
The service and room are a complete mess! I have stayed here many times over the years and it gets worse and worse. The staff treats me like I work for them, very rude.
What professional hotels now a days make you pay for Internet in your room? Pay 200 for a room only to get scamed into paying 11.99 per day of Internet. How ridiculous , so so so disappointed! The hotel is nice and the staff is nice, but you wouldn't expect to get nickeled and dimed by such a well known establishment. This was a major inconvenience for me. Sure, Internet is free in the lobby, but I didn't pay 200 dollars a night for the comfort of the lobby. In addition to paying for guest Internet the guest is also responsible for paying for parking. So after you get dimed on the parking (which wouldn't have bothered me until having to buy internet) you get nickeled for the Internet. Gosh, hilton chain must be digging deep or hurting for profits. I hope this helps you in your decision, I know I will not be staying here again. Some time after: Called font desk to see if they could supply a one day pass complementary, said there is no such thing and that's just how they do business here.... Makes you wonder: Next, they might charge extra if you use too many pieces of toilet paper. . . Watch out!
Front desk people were unfriendly and inattentive, customer service needs improvement.
For its rates, this hotel does not have a laundry room, a hot tub or a microwave in the room. Breakfast buffet is around 22$ and not included in your hotel fee. For how expensive this hotel is compared to other cheaper options that does provide breakfast and a pool. It is not worth your money unless you re here for business and don t mind a boring hotel with an expensive name.
Nice place but not what I expected. No fridge have to ask for one and absolutely no microwave. Disappointed! Parking fees outrageous! The staff were respectful though. Me and my wife and my pet are very unhappy.
was unable to use the microwave in the kitchen to heat my food. "Because they have to spray for bugs on bug night" the front desk told me. I was shocked. I brought my family here for a more comfortable and safer place to stay. Not to be denied basic services because they have such a BUG PROBLEM that the basics are out of order. My little girl tried to take a bath & the drain leaked so bad that she really couldn't keep enough water for a soak. BUGS & INADEQUATE PERSONAL HYGIENE FOR MY FAMILY! I could have camped at the beach and had all of my needs met. But after driving more than 12 hours and checking in at midnight, I was not ready to demand a refund. THIS PLACE IS ON MY 'NOT PREFERRED' LIST
When I arrived back at my room after work the room door was left open by housekeeping. I did not feel safe staying another night and will be staying elsewhere. Will be recommending my colleagues to stay elsehwere as well for future stays.
Musty room, AC in room very noisy. I do not recommend
Please use caution with this hotel. I allowed myself to decompress from this horrible experience, just so I would not write an angry, unfair review. I am still shocked at what I experienced. I stayed in two different rooms for a two night stay, and both rooms were filthy (hair on the bed and nightstands, pills on the floor, sticky substance on the counters, filthy showers, and broken beds). I don t understand why a Hilton is in such bad condition. Some of the staff are nice, including one of the managers, which alleviated my frustration He paid for one of my meals and took 10% off one nights stay, but I had to basically beg this guy to give me a discount because his solution was to give me a discount on a Hilton Honors program. Why would I join the program of a Hilton hotel, after what I endured?! I understand why he was doing it, but it doesn t take away from the poor conditions of the rooms and garbage laying around in the hallways. I ve stayed at many hotel chains for business and personal travel. Just shocked at the disgusting conditions here. I m sorry Hilton. I hope you clean and fix up the rooms. I cannot stay here ever again.
The room was nice and the overall look of the hotel was nice. I've had a lot of trouble getting in contact with the front desk, and when i do get in contact with them, they are brusque and unhelpful. I've been trying to call them all day today, but their phone system is very buggy and skips me to a "I'm sorry, i didn't hear your selection. please reenter your selection now", goes to a busy signal, and finally disconnects. The business center consists of 2 PCs and a printer in the front lobby. No scanner, no phone, no other "business" technology, no privacy. I won't be staying here again.
Just one towel for a room, no hair dryer, no water to drink. You shoul by it for $10 a small bottle.
Don't stay here when it's hot outside. It remained in the upper 70s in my room the entire night with the AC set to 60. According two two staff members this is not uncommon and since they use a hotel wide system it affects all rooms. Now normally I'd just give 3 stars for a poorly designed AC system that made sleeping miserable. But the front desk said they'd have a manger reach out to me about this. I followed up a few days later with a request to discuss and no one has returned my request despite saying they would. So my only recourse is to share this poor customer service is to share with you.
Manager was rude and didn t care about accommodating us. We had to rebook after driving for 5 hours and calling them to confirm our booking. We were kicked out !!!!
OMG ! Upon arrival the lobby looked very appealing, my room was on the Executive floor, I was expecting to have a fridge at least. No I found a hole in the bathroom door, the hotel room was very old looking. I went to lunch came back. The hotel checked my family out with My niece napping in the room :- ( The Hilton was trying to charge me with higher rates for re- instatement When I asked to speak to the manager, I was told he was busy. The company did not want to hear complaints, also they did not want to be accountable for their actions. I presented the front desk with proof with of check in/ check out & fees, at that point they fixed their mistake. First and last visit .
Very dissapointed. Came with my hubby on a business trip. He said we were staying at the Hilton. I was so excited. Until we arrived. No pool. No fridge. No microwave. And be prepared to pay 23$ per day for parking. Totally not worth the stay, for what you are charged.
Racist facility with a self hating African American man as head of security
The rooms were old smelly dirty carpets it was horrible experience The pillows smell like sweat we ended up changing our hotel and housekeeping was rude all of the staff
Hi there. I stayed at this property last night. Everything was awesome until 2am when the motion activated sensor light in my room decided to turn on at 2 am. I woke up startled and turned it off. It happened again at 2:30 and 3:00am. Finally I got back to sleep and it did it again at 4:45. I called the front desk furious, turned it off again and slept for a few hours. I checked out around 9:30am told the front desk person what happened and told them I wanted a refund. The manager called me a few hours later and told me that engineers checked the light and found everything ok(did they check it at 2am?- nope) and offered me a 20% discount which is not acceptable to me. I stayed it this hotel 1 time before without incident. I have a project in the area and would be staying there every few weeks but not now.
Staff was professional over the phone, however, there was a price increase within minutes and when i called to ask if they could honor the price, they refused to do anything about it. Very disappointing, been other places where we were immediately taken care of.
I made a simple request to the cleaning staff and I was told to let the front desk know of my request which I did for 3 days straight and it was completely disregarded so I had to talk to a manager for the staff to finally fulfill my request and it was only followed 1 day out of the whole stay I was there. I had to pay for parking that every single time I had my ticket validated I had to have an attendant come and let me out. Then they tried to double bill my credit card which I had to call the company and ask why and no one could give me an answer. When I asked to speak with a manager I waited in the lobby for 20 min when I asked how much longer it would be the same desk attendant asked me is there something I can help you with. I have worked in customer service I thought that was the first thing you ask them to see if you can resolve the issue and if not then you call the manager by the way who never showed up. For the money I spent I felt like the service should been better. I also made the mistake thinking I'll stay at the Hilton and I wouldn't have very many problems. From now on I'll be staying at a different hotel. I was not impressed at all. Hilton you need to do a lot better. A customer who paid $1400 for poor customer service.
The list of problem at this hell hole: No concierge No valet after midnight No hot water 4/27 No food after 11 available No clean/non stained towels My A/C and fan fan were turned off while I was away working even though I had sign on door to stay out Came back to 80 degree room Took all night to cool room No hot water 4/28 Missed paid for breakfast since no hot water to take a shower Bathrobes too small
The first room smelled very strongly of weed. They moved us to a second room which was humid and hot. They had to call the engineer over to see what is going on. He fiddled with it but it didn't improve much. They had to change our room for a third time. The rooms are dirty and dark. Would not return and would not recommend to anyone
The first room I stayed in the AC did not work at all so I had to change rooms. Now, They just informed me that they will be turning off the AC completely tonight for maintenance but never bothered to tell me that when I checked in and paid for the room. How is anyone supposed to sleep without AC?? You should have told me that there won t be AC before i paid for a room, instead of slipping me a note after the fact. Now I have to find somewhere else to stay at the last minute.
Upon check in, front desk staff rude and very unhappy. If you need anything during the night, no one works the desk. As a guest I felt treat like a child. Front desk staff not trained. Save your money
This is the worst hotel I ve ever stayed at in my life. Please do yourself a favor and avoid Hilton like the plague.
Blanket were smelly. No water. Somebody knocked on my door 3 times a day, once I opened the door they said sorry . I was tired and asleep but they kept knocking. Didn't enjoy my stay overall at this hotel.
Worst Hotel ever, there was a fire near my house and had to leave due to evacuation, called Hilton spoke to April reserved a room and April told me room will be ready in 30 minutes. Drove 45 minutes from my house to come here and the front desk guy worker was being rude he made us wait while he was flirting with some guests after he was done and we got his attention, we politely asked the guy to check us in and when he asked for our reservation number he told us there is no rooms available and April the lady for reservation made a mistake chose the wrong dates! I asked if he can give us a room since there was a mistake on their end he flat out said NO . We then left the hotel went elsewhere that accepted us & we still got charged for Hilton. I had to call Hilton corporate to remove the charges! Literally biggest headache. DON'T COME HERE ! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME! This place is HELLTON not Hilton!
Parking is expensive at $20 and the event I attended did not validate but you can park across the street in the LA Fitness parking lot if you're a member just watch out for the security guards. I can't rate the hotel as I didn't stay there or have an opportunity to eat at one of their restaurants but if the box lunch they prepared was any indication all I can say was thumbs down. I had a crappy and I mean crappy ham sandwich. It's not a great neighborhood and I think they mostly do corporate events. Overall the decor was nice.
