I would not recommend this service. You are better off working directly with the creditors yourself. I am embarrassed to admit that I went down this path, but hopefully in doing so I can help someone else. Two years in the program, thousands of dollars later, only two debts were resolved. The fees are high and they charge multiple fees for one debt when broken down into payments, so you can end up paying just as much to them as you would your debtors. How they describe the program is no where near the services you receive. They also report your progress falsely. When I was active in the program, they claimed they resolved most of my debt, which is why I remained faithful. Once I could no longer afford their services, my account now reads like they only settled two accounts, which definitely doesn't add up to the almost 10k I have paid them. The gag is, I wasn't behind when I entered the program. At their advise, I fell behind to qualify for the program thinking it would help me, but in retrospect, I would have been better off continuing with my regular monthly payments or negotiating settlements on my own. The way the fees were described to me initially is not how it panned out. Now, two wasted years later, I'm pretty much back at square one, doing the work I paid NDR to do for me. They essentially make their money by negotiating a settlement, then taxing you with fees, and ultimately you're only still paying more in the end. Let's say a debt is $1000, NDR will negotiate a settlement of $500, so you get excited and accept. But then they charge you a fee, let's say $300, so in the end you end up shelling out $800, essentially only saving $200. Now saving is saving, so you're still good off, so it seems, but when you actually think about it, you would be better off making that phone call to the debtor yourself and benefitting from the total savings. The way you tell yourself it makes sense is how it's broken down in smaller, affordable payments. But let me tell you, when you actually add it up, it's highway robbery, and I'm so much worse off and I STILL have the original debts and will be my own debt resolver moving forward. Yes, it's easy to say "Just don't get into debt", but things happen, people lose jobs, economies suffer, people just fall on bad times. NDR advertises like they are an advocate; they are not. NDR is a company, they govern themselves as such, and ultimately, they do exactly what money hungry companies do, they feed on the less fortunate while the wealthy profit.

Seriously? What goes on at this so called company should be illegal. What they get away with is a joke. Their business is based on nothing but lies and deception. It would have cost less simply to have paid the minimum to my creditors. Please I beg you, DO NOT EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM! They're not worth it.

I made some serious financial mistakes and thought I would drown in my debt forever..National Debt Relief makes me see a light at the end of the tunnel, they are always there to answer all of my questions and do all the hard work for me. They have reached settlements on 2 out of the 3 accounts so far and I have only been in the program a short amount of time. I feel grateful to have found them and can't wait for my debt to be gone.

Since 2013 I have been struggling to keep up payments on 4 mayor credit cards. Being a college student with a part time job really didn't help at all. I really thought hard about doing business with any debt relief company. Not having anyone with previous experience with any debt relief company, I decided to give national debt relief a shot and so far I have 3 out of 4 credit cards settled. Payments are reasonable and I feel I can breath with the stress taken off my back. I have learned to become more responsible with my money after this experience. I definitely recommend national debt relief to anyone in need of financial assistance. Thanks National Debt Relief.

In over 6 months I have not had 1 negotiation and have stuck to my end of the bargain . over 10% of my debt already in the "trust". When I emailed my concern , the reply was like they could care less and offered me to "opt out any time". They made me default on my credit ( when I had a great credit score prior to this process) and assured me within 4-6 months I would have seen a negation. 9 cards have accused astronomically interest and nothing has even been discussed on any negotiation. Due to all the negative effects and not 1 positive one 6 months in , If forced I will not "Opt out" without Legal action .

I'm in the program for only 4 months. I was getting a little anxiety and I called NDR and they put me at ease. A few days later I see an email that one of my accounts was settled. And at a significant savings. I am very pleased and hope my other accounts get the same results. This really can make a big difference in my finances.
Thanks

Our advocate, Brian was amazing! He was so thorough with his explanations and seemed to fully grasp our situation. He took his time to invest in us and make the process so pain free and pleasant. I would recommend them to anyone out there looking for help and "breathing room!"

My husband and I have been enrolled with National ...

My husband and I have been enrolled with National Debt Relief since November 2015 and it is one of the best choices we have made. We found ourselves unable to get ahead of our credit card payments. We were making at least $70.00 above what our minimum payments were and still the interest was becoming way more than we expected. Even with us making payments more than the minimum we still were getting no where.

I looked into National Debt Relief after reading about it online. I spoke to a representative who stayed on the phone with me for almost 2 hours answering even single question and concern I had. Taking a step like this that can impact your financial future so drastically is a huge decision and not to be taken lightly. The representative made me feel completely at ease and was very knowledgeable on every thing I wanted to discuss. I have since called customer service multiple times for various and each time the person I speak with is extremely curious and takes time to review our account to know what is going on.

We still have several credit cards we are working to get settled but so far, National Debt Relief has saved my husband and I about $1,600.00 in unnecessary fees, interest etc. If you are in the same position we were, drowning in interest and fees that you don't even understand, call National! They are extremely knowledgeable on all things credit and will make sure you are not taken advantage of.

Not only do they decieve you by not explaining things in the beginning clearly they also refuse to provide information pertaining to your account. I requested to have data on what communications have happened to companies and NDR REFUSED! They said I do not have access to their communications that they have had with companies included in the program. In addition they make you think that they will be in regular contact with accounts in the program yet they do not. They basically ignore the companies until you have funds in the account.

I went from needing to pay my individual creditors over $2000 a month and never having a cent in my savings to now only having to pay $500 a month and being able to live the life that I want knowing that my debt is being taken care of. The Customer Service is Amazing, the team here treats you right and can answer any questions you have. I highly recommend this company to anyone that is struggling with their debt. I am going through the process right now but I have already saved thousands of dollars.

I thoroughly researched the implications of signing up with National Debt Relief before I moved forward so I knew that the process would adversely affect my credit, etc. After weighing the pros and cons, I decided this was the right thing to do for myself. I tried unsuccessfully for YEARS to pay my credit card debt off on my own. I just could not do it. The temptation to use the credit cards was just too great for me. Not to mention the need to use them just for monthly living expenses because I had dug such a hole for myself financially. Having to close all my accounts when I signed up with NDR forced me to live within my means. It hasn't been easy but I'm doing it! It took a full 6 months into the program before any of my debts were resolved but I'm happy to report that within a year, I will have 3 out of 10 of my debts resolved and I couldn't be more satisfied. The estimated length of time needed to pay everything off is 45 months and it looks like I'm right on track. Bottom line...do your research. Understand the implications for your individual circumstances. If NDR is the right fit for you, GO FOR IT. The weight that has been lifted off my shoulders just by having 1/3 of my debt resolved so far is IMMEASURABLE!

Thanx

I cannot express the immediate relief I felt when they told me I could save a total of 22,000 in the lifespan of my debt and how fast they work to clear my debt. I finally feel like a boulder was lifted off my shoulders. I can finally see the light at the end of 4 years.

NDR has systematically worked with my credit card ...

NDR has systematically worked with my credit card companies in a way that is positive. Since January 2016 and it is now July 2016, they have successfully resolved 4 out of 9 credit companies at 50% of my original bill when I started. I knew this was going to be a fairly slow process when I started with them but it is now moving along at a decent pace. I have put my bills in safe hands. I feel that they are negotiating my credit card bills to my advantage in the way of getting out of debt. They keep in touch with me on a regular basis. I couldn't be happier with the results.

While they were helpful in helping me with my debt...

While they were helpful in helping me with my debt in the beginning, when hardships hit me recently, they would not lower the outrageous monthly payment even after removing all the active ($20,000) debt still left to settle. I only owe them $2000 and they would not reduce the payments down low enough and work with me. They will NOT work with you if anything changes. They also didn't try to get my debt down much at all. I could have done better negotiating them myself. I even sent them the offers from collection companies wanting only half..and this company didn't try to help at all. So by the time I pay back company I owed, then have to pay NDRs fees, the amount is almost back up to original owed amount. So the deals they negotiated were HORRIBLE that they so called bargained over. NOW 2 yrs later all those debts I owe have accrued interest and making the amount I owe now much higher. Good for NDR cause they get 25% of that debt amount. They would only give me 3 1/2 yrs to pay off $26,000 in debt. FDR is willing to give me 5 years for a lesser amount. So it's best to avoid these vultures and go to Freedom Debt Relief..which is where they branched off from in the first place. FDR is willing to work with you. AVOID NDR if you are living paycheck to paycheck. If you have cash in your pocket..call up the collectors yourself and deal with them direct..save you a ton of fees. Keep an eye on your credit report and after 3 months or so.. send letters to credit bureaus if it doesn't show paid in settlement. Now doing these settlements does not clear your credit report nor does it help much. It ONLY shows you DID pay and settle. That's the plus..but still shows as a negative on your report. Don't expect miracles. We got in this situation ourselves so we must decide how we want to get out of it. WARNING to people out there...avoid credit cards if you can. They WILL sue you in a heartbeat these days, if you settle, they can also send you a 1099 for the part you didn't repay and also they can garnish either your wages (depending on what state you reside in) or draft direct from your checking or savings account. I know in Texas..after 4 years of a stagnant account (no pymts made), they cannot sue you. It stays on your credit report for 7 yrs. Some collection agencies will keep reporting it as NEW debt and it stays on indefinitely..so you must keep an eye on your credit report and fight with cease and desist so they cannot contact you any longer legally other than thru mail. And if the collector cannot prove the debt is owed by you, it must be removed from credit report. You will have to write a letter to credit bureaus to fight debt not proven that may or may not be yours. I only have one good thing to say about NDR and why I gave a 2 star rating...and right now...it isn't even worth mentioning. Just find another company beside NDR. They are out for your blood.

UPDATE: I made them an offer on what I felt reasonable for a monthly payment and they accepted. So that works better for me. Glad we were able to come to an agreement.

This company is a SCAM!!! Don t fall for their tricks. I ve learned my lesson my signing up with this company to relieve my credit card debt, but that was a HUGE mistake!!! I called to cancel the program, and the supervisor who was in charge hung up on me after she was going to transfer me to the welcome call ... I emailed the specialist who was helping me along with this program, and he told me to call welcome call directly to cancel my program... when I did that it only gives me option 1 which is to accept my welcome call ( without actually speaking to a person) or option 3, to ask questions about your accepted welcome call or concerns you may have where is option 2???? This company is a SCAM!!!! Don t fall for their tricks!!!!!

One of the worst services I've ever encountered. I signed up when I realized that it was difficult just making min payments every month was not lowering my debt significantly. I thought this would help me pay back without using bankcruptcy. What this didnt make clear is that this was almost as bad as bankruptcy. They ask you to let the debt accrue fees astronomically as a "bargaining" technique. This doesnt always work and I ended up having to pay an extra 2 thousand dollars to Wells Fargo in addition to all the court fees I had to pay and legal counsel fees they offered. They did try to settle for leas but they wanted me to be able to pay an additional 600$ a month for 6 months on top of the $400 a month i already deposit. If I had that money, i wouldnt be in this problem in the first place. I ended up settling by myself with one of the smaller debt and finished it off quickly. Your best bet is to call all your own debtors and just do this process yourself. This was one of the biggest mistakes i have ever made and my credit is still recovering. Please dont use it if you have any other option

National Debt Relief has been so helpful throughout my settlement process. Two months into my three year program and one of my creditors has already reached a settlement that was significantly less than what I owed.

What a great experience I'm going through with National Debt Relief! Not only have they stop 20 years of interest payments BUT settlement are confirmed with the click of a button. If ANYONE finds their self over their head on the verge of bankruptcy.....National Debt Relief is TRULY the way to go. All collections stop, harassment....just all worry. For the first time I see a light at the end of the tunnel and it's all do to NDR! Thank you to you all for being out their and leading us involved step by step in what to do when I personally was lost! R.M. Stephens

I really can't say enough about my interactions with National Debt Relief. Not only did they come up with a plan that worked for me and my family's situation, but they are always quick to respond with all of my questions. I am almost out of debt, and staying that way. Thank you!

Allowed Creditor to cancel current settlement even though payment was made on time. I only had three more payments and caused me to have new settlement. I lost over $4000 in payments and have to start over. They did not represent me, by talking with creditor but only accepted their cancellation. They could not/would not understand that payment was made (it cleared on time) and there was no basis for cancellation.

Charge insane fees on accounts that were never even settled. They were unable to settle my worst debt leaving me on my own to pay off that debt along with there outragious fees. I was paying 900 a month for 2 years and they only were able to settle about 10,000 dollars worth of debt. The rest went in their pockets. And when I ended the program i still had 600 in my account which they took. They said after all that I still owed them money! Find a better solution for your money woes. They will take advantage of your financial woes and take the shirt off your back.

I spoke with Erik today and he was exceptional! Very friendly, genuinely interested in our story and eager to help us. He was specific, blunt (in a good way) and thorough throughout the process. There was never a point in speaking with him that I felt he was withholding information, good or bad, and believed him when he said we could contact him for any reason. I look forward to continuing to work with this company to help my family relieve some stress!

I read the reviews and I usually read the bad ones first. I started my journey This week and all I can say is they are very helpful going over everything in great detail so I don't know why people gave this company a bad review over there fees. This isn't a free company. I'll update my review in 6 months
