We used their service after locking ourselves out of our new house. We were quoted a price and general timeline for arrival over the phone. He arrived well before his estimated time, despite being located across the city. Within around 10 minutes, he had the door unlocked without damage. We were ultimately charged exactly what was quoted over the phone, which was extremely reasonable given the urgency of the call. Hopefully never have to, but would use again without hesitation.

I managed to break off a piece of tweezers in my car ignition trying to remove a broken keyblade. They were able to fix my problem and make me a new key. Not only did they give me a very fair price, I was spared a tow trip to the dealership that would have easily cost me double to triple what I ended up paying. Highly recommend for all your broken lock needs.

I called Pop A lock. I was skeptical about being charged a lot but honesty of these guys. They didnt charge me single dime more than it should.

Friendly fast and on time.
They even game me deal to make me another key. He was out of my car key type. He came back again and didnt charge me a single dime and made me another key.

Rob is the main guy. I spoke to him first. He send his automative guy. How was very honest and told that he is not comfortable to pick someone else slack. He tried and succeed.
Double thumbs up to these guys.

These people seem expensive but they are super affordable. Far from taking advantage and doing dirty business.
I am moving to Atlanta and I would call them again to get another remote for another key.

I would highly recommend them. I wish I could stay in Pittsburgh and spread more good words about them.
Pop A Lock - guys keep doing the great job. You guys are awesome.

Quality service, calming way of speaking to you in a dire situation, smart and knowledgable gentlemen. It's not the 24/7 service the Pittsburgh area wants, but its the 24/7 service it needs. Always there when you need them and when you think you don't.

Great, reliable service! We had an issue with our front door knob that is more than 25 years old. After nearly a year of trying to find a replacement part myself, I finally gave in and called a locksmith. Rick was able to find a replacement part after doing some research. The door works better than ever!

Lost my car key on New Years Day. Tim arrived within the time frame I was given that day and made me a key on the spot where I was locked out of my vehicle. Excellent and professional customer service. I highly recommend this locksmith.

My key would not insert into the ignition of my 2012 VW Passat. I took it to a dealer they wanted to charge me an arm and a leg and wait for over a week. AAA then sent Tim from Popalock and he had my problem fixed in 5 minutes for a very reasonable price. Thanks again. You guys saved the day

Arrived at my house right on scheduled time. Made two remotes and keys for my push button start 07 Avalon. Took about 30 minutes. So much more convenient than the dealership and I never had to leave the house! About a year ago I needed computer chip type keys made for my 04 Escape. They arrived at my house right on scheduled time on a Saturday, made the keys, programed them in about 30 minutes. Was so much easier than going to dealership and much less cost. Both times very professional and clean. Would highly recommend using their service for specialty automotive keys. Thanks for the GREAT service!

Lost my motorcycle key and they were in an out in under 20min. Very friendly and professional. I was quoted much higher from the few other locksmiths that could even make a motorcycle key. Good communication and were out here within a day. 5 stars.

John from Pop-A-Lock was great. He was very professional, personable, and efficient. He re-keyed and installed 4 deadbolts for me and despite one of the doors being very challenging he got the job done quickly. I would recommend these guys to anyone especially John. I plan to have him back later to work on a garage lock he did such a good job.

Rick from Pop-A-Lock was so helpful! I called Pop-A-Lock to get a spare key and spare fob made for the car I just bought. They took my info and Rick called me to find out what kind of fob I had so he could order it. Once it came in, he called me to make an appointment and came to my house and programmed the fob and duplicated the key. He got the job done within a half hour. The key and fob work great! Would highly recommend!

Had a replacement key fob made for an older car. Popalock came to my house and did it in the driveway for a cheaper price than the dealership quoted me. I didn t have to drive a half hour and sit in the service waiting room while it got done. Tim was awesome, very pleasant and professional. He had the key done in no time, and it works great. Will definitely recommend Pop-A-Lock, great service.

My husband misplaced/lost the only key for his 2006 Yamaha motorcycle. Dealership couldn't help, referred us to Pop A Lock. Rick came to the house and worked Magic, and now we have 2 keys.....Thank you.. I think he needs to wear a big S on his uniform because he is SuperLockSmith for sure.

I called Pop-a-Lock on two different occasions with less than satisfactory results. The first time was on a Saturday to have a chip-key made (I had a non-working but properly cut OEM key) for my just-purchased 2003 Dodge truck. I called, spoke to somebody who said he was the dispatcher for the weekend and he said somebody would call me back shortly. Never got a call back. Good thing it wasn't an emergency! The problem ended up being the immobilizer sensor ring on the truck, which I easily fixed myself. Second time was a week or so later. This time I needed to have a remote programmed as the original remote had been lost by the previous owner. (Remotes are usually easy to program but Dodge remotes can't be programmed without an original remote or a programming tool.) I called and spoke to a woman who said she was the dispatcher and that I would get a call back shortly. Again, nobody ever called me back. A week later I ended up going over to Batteries + in Washington where they charged me $30 to program a remote from scratch. Took 10 minutes. Terrific service. I am certain either of these jobs would have cost $100 or more from Pop-a-lock. I try to use and support local businesses but when they don't respond to my calls for service, it is difficult to do that. Not recommended.

On vacation in the Ligonier area, snapped my only car key in half on a Sunday. Pop-A-Lock drove ALL THE WAY out to see me ON THE SPOT and had 2 new keys for me ready in 30 minutes. Extremely professional and effective, and more importantly, they took a personal interest in helping me out of a very tight spot. Thanks so much!!! Highly recommend.

I used pop a lock for a second key on my husbands Ford F-150. Tim was extremely friendly, helpful a quick! They estimated 30-40 minutes and Tim finished in 15 minutes. I would highly recommend their services to anyone! The dealership told me it would be $550 for a key and I only spend $250 for key and service combined. If you re in the market, I would highly recommend!!!

I broke a key on a late Saturday afternoon. Drove to the address listed and interrupted his Saturday. Using a broken key, he not only made the new keys in only a couple minutes but gave them to me. Very nice guy and highly recommend.

I called Pop-a-lock to cut a key for my 2013 Ford ...

I called Pop-a-lock to cut a key for my 2013 Ford Escape. They said that it was no problem and they could come to my residence. The first time they came, they were out there for about 4 hours. They weren't able to cut the key but they gave me a fob to use in the meantime while they ordered a new key part. They came back again a few weeks later with the new key but were again unsuccessful in cutting the key that is part of the fob. They gave me a sliver of metal as a key and suggested that I 'keep it on me to use with a pair if pliers' if I was ever locked out while they still worked on making the key. After weeks of not hearing back, I called again. I told them that the sliver of metal did not work as a key and was unacceptable. They came over and still couldn't fix it, yet still offered no refund. The same service man promised to send the new key to me (assuming that he could cut it from yet another piece) that I could insert into my fob on my own. I told him I was moving to a new house and gave him my new address. He promised to follow up.

Meanwhile, I moved across the country and never received the key or a follow up call. A few weeks later, my car died and I was forced to call a locksmith to enter the car. It cost $75. Not even a week later, the brand new Fob that he made stopped working. I replaced the battery and it still would not work. I had to get the vehicle towed to Ford and paid $200 for another Fob.

To summarize: The original cost of this key was $475. The fob part lasted for about 3 months. I never had a functioning key part made. I then had to pay $75 for a lockout, and another $200 for a replacement Fob. When I called the Pittsburgh office, I was promised a call-back. I never received one. I am extremely disappointed by the service and products that I received from your company and feel very inclined to let you and the public know what a disservice I had received.

Was locked out of my apartment, and called and they said they would see if anyone is available. They called back and said, "sorry we don't have anyone available. Good luck." Didn't even offer to help at all in any way beyond trying to find someone readily available. In all honesty, if the company would have said, "we won't have anyone available for a few hours," I would have been fine with that, but to just straight out abandon someone in the way they did, in my opinion, was horribly unprofessional and unethical. This was the first time I called the company and is most definitely the last.

We had a problem with the locking mechanism on our patio doors. The lock would jam and sometimes would not open. My husband who is very handy around the house was unable to fix it after many attempts. We called Pop-A- Lock of Pittsburgh and were pleased to find that the doors could be fixed. RIck, the technician, ordered the appropriate parts after coming out to measure the door and assess the problem. We were very pleased with his professionalism and service. We highly recommend this business and will refer friends who may be in need of a locksmith.

Tim came by from Pop-a-Lock to unlock my T-Mobile wireless store, after accidentally locking myself out while grabbing the mail. He arrived within 15 minutes, and had my store open and back in business shortly after. Thank you Tim, and thank you to the owner for your assistance as well. Fast, friendly, and the cost couldn't be beat.

Excellent customer service - they really went above and beyond! My dog locked me out on my deck - which is too high to jump from. Their locksmith wasn t going to be able to reach me for 2 hours, and my phone was dying (of course). The lady on the phone googled other locksmiths for me, and even called back to see if someone came and if they helped and to make sure I was ok. Such a Godsend! I can not recommend enough!!

After a long day at work, in a moment of absentminded delirium I locked my husband and I out of our car around 5:15 pm. It was dark and freezing, rainy and miserable.
One Google search, a couple friendly phone calls, and 20 minutes later, and the Pop-A-lock dude, Brian, showed up and got us back into our car (20 minutes earlier than the time they originally promised).
The $47 charge was painful, but mostly because my stupidity was what had caused it to be a necessity. I don't know how that price compares to other company's services of this kind.
But we needed the help, and they provided it very cheerfully and quickly, which we appreciated. We've encountered a lot of unhelpful businesses in Western PA that make it seem like you needing their services is a chore for them, instead of a money-making opportunity. The two Pop-a-lock people we spoke with were both very friendly, kind, and helpful.
If you're going to be stupid, too, this company will cheerfully help you in a pinch.

Pop A Lock came out to our house and made a new transponder key for our van, and programmed it even though we only had one original key. He was in and out in 20 minutes total, and charged less than half what the dealership wanted for the same service, but instead of having to take it to them, Pop A Lock did the whole job right in my driveway. Amazing. What a great service, what a friendly guy. We can not recommend Pop A Lock highly enough.

I called Pop-A-Lock after having difficulty getting my new Z-wave lock sets installed and programmed. Pop-A-Lock got me on the schedule very quickly, arrived on time and had the locks installed and programmed in no time at all. I would highly recommend them for any lock related service. Fast, friendly and affordable service. Great job. Thank you!

Pop a lock is a terrific service for those in a bind. Tim in particular, was the most helpful locksmith of all the locksmiths I've dealt with. He's a veteran and is an honest, good guy. Thanks Pop a lock!

Worked with Tim today, we had a hell of a predicament. Was coming home from the hospital and my garage door wouldn't open. Of course we had our spare key which didnt have a key to our door. This left us locked out of the house. Tim was out here within 45 mins and got the lock taken care of so we could get in the house. The mobile service was fast, friendly and efficient.

After moving to a new home, we used Pop-A-Lock to rekey our four doors with deadbolt locks. David and Rick arrived promptly at the appointed time. David proceeded to remove all six cylinders, even the two knob locks for which we had no key. Meanwhile, in their mobile workshop, Rick replaced the pins in the cylinders and cut new keys, making all six locks the same, so that a single key would unlock all of them. David replaced the cylinders and tested the keys. Considering the number of locks, their service was quick, efficient and professional. I would definitely hire them again.

They came to my rescue when my son locked the only set of car keys in the trunk of the car that was locked (kids!). Came to the house quickly and worked hard to get in the car to get the keys. Reasonable and worth the call. You won t be disappointed. I ll use them if I ever have any need requiring a locksmith.

Unfortunately, I turned my one and only key on my 2019 f-150 turn key start into a Mykey. Bought a key on Amazon and gave pop a lock a call. They were the quickest and cheapest. The worker was very nice and got the job done. Mykey nonsense solved. Buying the key on Amazon + using pop a lock to cut and program it saved me ~ $150 vs using the Ford dealership.

I just wanted to let you know that the $175 price you guys quoted for a key fob for my 2016 Malibu was extremely High. Normally the dealership would be the outrageous price but they made me one for $90 after tax. You really ahould never be almost double of the Chevy dealership. That's not right at all. 175 plus tax? That's taking advantage of the public in distress. I think I'll call get Marty from the local news.

This is by far the fastest, kindest, and most efficient company I have come across! Our tech was Tim or TJ (his preference). The experience we had to need a new key was only made better by Pop-A-Lock Pittsburgh. The woman who answers the phone is absolutley incredible. She heard our debacle and within 13 minutes, she fixed the turmoil that was the sadness of our lost keys, and malicious over priced scammers, without hesitation! While TJ was making our key he saw that we could have used just a small bit of kindness through our rough experience and brought our family twice the peace it needed! If you need help, this is THE PLACE to call. Their prices are honest and so is their company. If you're looking for someone to care and to take good care of your family, Pop-A-Lock Pittsburgh!! #1!

I just had to have a key fob replaced because I left my original key fob on my trunk! It started my car, and then proceeded to fall off (without me knowing) and I drove the whole way home without a key. I was able to find the key the next day, but it was crushed by a truck. -- Long story short, I needed a new key fob. --- I called Mitsubishi and they wanted $580! And needed to put me on their schedule for me to drop off my vehicle for a full day. Needless to say, the cost was insane, and the timing / scheduling no good (thankfully I had a back up key). --- I googled other options and found Pop-A-Lock. Technician Tim got back to me right away. He ordered the fob for my car and came to me to have it taken care of. It was really easy to set up. $260 less expensive than the dealer! The process took less than 30 minutes and was really convenient. -- thanks so much!

I called when I got locked out of my apartment and they were completely unhelpful. The man on the phone told me there was no one anywhere near my location (Pittsburgh) and offered no other suggestions or help. I have no idea how their locksmiths are, but their customer service on the phone was abysmal.
