We only stayed for one night and found the hotel very satisfactory. The employees were very helpful. We stated on the 7th floor with a small view of the bay. Walking distance to the Coconut Grove restaurants. Only downer was the valet fee. $28 plus tax. Our car remained in the same space we left it in until the morning when were were checking out. It had been moved shortly before that. Just a nice way of grabbing a few bucks from the customers.

My recent stay at The Mutiny Hotel in South Miami: Upon arrival (around 9:30pm) the hotel seemed to be well kept. Nice lush landscaping, clean and kemp drive and walk areas and the valet was welcoming. Check-in was standard, with the exception of the slightly weird guests we encountered. But thats really where the typical hotel stay ended. The room had a weird feel to it, and we came to the agreement that it used to be a condo and was converted to a hotel (no big deal), except that they didn't fix much from the apartment conversation. The AC closet door was broken, base boards were chipped, had not been painted so they were scuffed up, and the were DIRTY... Gross actually. There were multiple hairs on the bathroom floor, including on the roll of toilet paper, and our BED!!! Which brings me to the bed.. This felt and sounded like an air mattress. Some of the pillow covers felt like plastic and the view was a very noisy parking garage. We were horribly tired and already unpacked at this point, so not really interested in even trying for a new room (which we'd discussed and figured the next room might even be worse, so we stayed), and then at about 10:30- when the restaurant was closed- our 2 free drink cards came. We fell asleep shortly after. In the morning we ordered room service- which was actually very tasty. However, the prices on the menu were cheaper then the prices on the the bill. Our bill was about $10 more than what we expected to pay based on the menu prices. So all in all it was a flop. We definitely will not stay there again. 2 stars because there were a few upsides to the stay.

Sadly, the place is fairly dated - think above normal 3 star Hampton Inn since you have marble floors. If you are a family looking for space, walking in the Grove with water views, then stay here! The size of our room was HUGE! The Pool area is fantastic! The view from the 5th floor was pretty good - even though I asked for a high floor room. You can see the water but it was not panoramic. Sadly, the room looked like it was decorated by a TJ Max lover; they could use some professional decorating help. Our room 502 had sub-par furnishing, e.g. crooked lamps, 1980 s appliance, ratty couch with holes and a circa 2004 40 tv. The AC was so loud we could not hear the TV anyway. The bathrooms were dated and had dirty grout. The service was good - very 4 star, and adequate. The main reason to stay here is because it is cheaper than your top choice hotel. Would I stay here again, I would probably not. Miami has tons of great hotels and this property simply can t keep up with the competition. However, if you want space overlooking the water and are able to overlook some things, then this is the place for you!

Great location! Cute old Florida hotel, across from Marinas; 2 block walk to downtown restaurants, bars, coffee shops, shops. S-L-O-W breakfasts, NOT included in price, can be served on charming side terrace with waterfall, & orchids growing on the trees. This all suites hotel can serve as a residence for a few days to a few months. Includes full kitchen, LR, bedroom, bathroom, balcony with TWO sliders onto balcony (some facing the Atlantic, some onto a garden). Washer & dryer included. Modest price. Needs some updating, but WHAT A DEAL! NOT a big sterile glamorous place. More authentic, funkier (in a good way). One of the best things about the hotel is Victoria at the front desk. Smart, efficient, helpful, beautiful, she will book your room, make dinner reservations, recommend places to go and things to do, AND tell you the truth when she doesn't know. This hotel has a checkered past. Check out the book about it: HOTEL SCARFACE. Then book your stay in this civilized little piece of Coconut Grove history, 20 minutes to Wynwood Walls, a few minutes more to the madness & glory of art deco South Beach, and even closer to Little Havana. The best place to stay for a first time trip to Miami. User friendly, international, welcoming to all.

Very nice location, very clean, wonderful atmosphere. I was especially impressed by the high quality of the staff and particularly the girl with blond hair at the front desk who welcomed us warmly, was very professional and helpful.
The pool is top. Shops, bars and restaurants are all around
We'll come back for sure.

It was more amenable last year.. room service never answered call (no room phone, had to call hotel from cell and ask for extension, and front desk didn't say room service was probably non existent). In the morning ended up going to little restaurant, where the one server was slammed to get coffee and juice...she was trying hard, but it was very poor service on the Mutiny's end

Stayed there July 21-24. This place is located in a great location in coconut grove. You can walk to shops and restaurants from the hotel. It's a smallish boutique type hotel, a converted condo building on the bay with nice views. I believe most or all rooms have a small equipped kitchen with stove, oven, microwave, full fridge, toaster, blender, and washer and dryer. Most have separate living area too. Nice if you plan on being there several days and going to the beach. We will stay there again when we visit.

I stayed at the Mutiny with my boyfriend for 4 days and loved it. We planned it as a mini local getaway. The Hotel is right in front on the bay and the breeze in the morning is spectacular. We loved that we could cook our meals in a full kitchen. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Danny helped us with our bags and Gerelys was extremely nice and helpful (smile that lights up a room). Will come back for our next mini vacation.

This is a very nice fancy hotel where they attendees in the lobby are very helpful. Be wary that the restaurant in this hotel is another location of the same name but it has a very short menu and it different menu.

We stayed over new year's and loved the energy of this place. Very relaxed, very beautiful, and excellent food! We would definitely stay here again. You are walking distance to some wonderful restaurants and a short uber away from South Beach or Coconut Grove.

I was just here for an evening corporate event for a few hours. Didn't get to see anything other than the ground floor and the pool deck, but everything was great. The staff took great care of everyone and was very friendly. I didn't try the food but it looked great and I didn't hear any complaints. Bartenders did a wonderful job as well. The location of the hotel is great too. Near to plenty of things to do, eat, etc. I'd check out the rooms if I was in the area again.

I had checked out of the hotel and forgot an electronic device in the room.
I contacted the front office the following night to see if anyone turned it in.
The person at the front desk told me that nothing was turned in. I asked him if he would go upstairs to the room, and look under the couch. I knew it was there. He said he would and call me afterwards. I waited 30+ minutes but he never called back. I called back, and he told me that he did not find anything under the couch.
The next day, i went back to the hotel and went into the room with the housekeeping supervisor. We found the electronic device under the couch.
The guy at the front desk assumed i was an out-of-townee and would never show up to the hotel ever again.
He lied, and if i did not show up, i would had lost the valuable item altogether. Untrustworthy front desk staff!

Very nice hotel, fun because it is an apart hotel with reception and services ... valet parking, laundry, swimming pool, ...
only downside no breakfast buffet and provide 30usd per night for parking

A nice moderate hotel in a fantastic location.

A nice moderate hotel in a fantastic location.
The king beds on the other hand were uncomfortable... Our first room had such a bad bed that I woke up sore. The second room's bed was bad too.

The room needed a little TLC as you can see in one picture of the walls, but we can live with that.

We ended our stay early due to the uncomfortable mattresses, but the staff responded quite well. They were amazingly nice and understanding.
If they replace their mattresses, we would definitely consider coming back. It really is a nice location.

Parking is very expensive and not included, so be prepared to pay $30 per night.

Nice hotel but always just a few things wrong like toilet does not flush properly and there's were two spickets marked hot water in the shower instead of one cold and one hot - - and they turned the abnormal way that you would think to shut off. The elevators were down for 2 days. They should spend a little bit of money to fix things right.

Safety was good, needs better quality beds, needs training training the front desk staff, for Sunday 09/21 & morning 22/ 2019 they were rude. Excellent cleaning staff, bellboy excellent, valet parking staffs excellent. Shuttle service HORRIBLE, they didn't wanted wait inside with a sign, their excuse, they would have to paid, parking, yet public transportation taxi limousine cost less than half.

short walk to shopping and restaurants of the "Coco Walk" in Coconut Grove. great location, comfortable hotel with nice amenities. The staff is very kind and helpful. This hotel with it's magical magnificent history is beautiful. The bar is comfortable and good food at the restaurant. The waterfall and garden near the pool is a good place to relax. I will stay here whenever possible!

The Mutiny was a good choice for my wedding party....

The Mutiny was a good choice for my wedding party. The nicest part is that it was connected to my reception venue (the Womans Club of Coconut Grove). This made it easy for Grandparents to move back and forth between the venue and their hotel rooms. The rooms are spacious and include a kitchen. This made it easier for all the girls as we were getting ready. If you have some extra money to spend somewhere; this is where I would splurge. My Mom got a 2BR suite overlooking the marina. It was amazing.

The room quality was not consistent after speaking with other guests. It was more of a condo feel than a hotel feel environment. Room quality varies. All the rooms were designed completely different, some much nicer than others. There were no vending or ice machines. Ice machine in room refrigerator did not work either. The bed was pretty comfortable luckily. The restaurant and pool seemed somewhat nice. Friendly staff!

Few destinations can boast a character as colorful...

Few destinations can boast a character as colorful and distinctive as Coconut Grove. In the heart of this tropical paradise of Miami is The Mutiny Hotel, a luxurious all-suite hotel near Coral Gables, close to the crystalline waters of Biscayne Bay. A brilliant display of coral contrasting against the intense blue sky of South Florida, the 12-story tower of the Mutiny epitomizes the style of South Florida, vibrant colors compliment sumptuous accommodations elegantly decorated in a modern and luxurious motif.

For a long time a playground for the elite, The Grove, as it is known to locals, is also a second home for many celebrities, artists and jetsetters. Its entertainment and shopping district reflects the quirky yet sophisticated nature of its residents where visitors can find everything from haute couture to haughty kitsch at the many CocoWalk stores, just a few steps from the door of The Mutiny Hotel.

Stayed at this hotel for almost a week. Loved my room and the layout! Very close to the elevator but never heard a thing. The balcony was a plus. Room was refreshened so each night I came back it was spotless. Will return next year!

The place looks pretty nice at first glance, but then you start to notice the hairs in the beds and the stains on the curtains and the general lack of hotel-appropriate cleanliness. I'm giving two stars for the comfy bed and their liberality with handing out towels, but they charged over $300 a night for a suite that had a kitchen but no sugar/salt/tea and a floor that made the bottoms of my feet black with filth in seconds. The headboards are the kind that slam into the wall and rattle if you so much as sit on the bed. The walls are paper thin and you can hear carts rattling down the hallway all night. The WiFi is absolutely terrible and connected about 5% of the time. Oh yeah, and they didn't change any sheets but they did steal our allergy pillow covers and the concierge was utterly unhelpful. We'll have to buy new ones. Bottom line? It's waaaay too expensive for what you get. I would not stay here again.

Room was clean and tidy, staff is friendly. However, for the third year in a row, we got the same room with a non-working whirlpool. It s been like that for at least 3 years and they don t seem to care enough to fix it. Apart from that, location is good. Bit pricey.
