Extremely incompetent company, worse thing is that I can't directory call someone inside the company to address my frustration because the generic contact details they give on their website there is no one responding.
Been getting sms with false allegatiations when i call, their unproffessional staff lady told me they will keep on sending sms even if i tell them i dont have an account with them.

According too me the service of this company is utterly pathetic!!!!!! My fiance has been reported by them to ITC. After 7 phone calls to them we finally got through and they do not have any trace of the reference number given to us on the ITC report. We have been waiting all week for a consultant to call us back. No response. Today I made another 9 calls to them in order to lay a complaint. I just get cut off all the time and I am still sitting in the same situation with no answers. We are in the process of buying property. How does these people do business?!!!!! Who do I call the get joy out of them. Horrible people. Their agents are rude and intolerable. They divulge my personal information to someone that is not me nor a spouse or relative. When asked to please take off all numbers that are not in connection to me they refused and said that I should answer my phone more often then. I have been paying my account and yet the balance keeps getting higher because they are charging me for the calls they make to a number that is not mine and messages I never received!

I am continually harassed by MBD Attorneys for an account of someone I don t know. (Mistaken identity). They also phoned this person (who we don't know) at my work place. Where do they get their numbers from??
I get threatening calls and sms s on a continuous basis. I have phoned their offices and have told them that I am not the person they are trying to trace and don t even know the person and to please remove my number from their system. I have spoken to a consultant and they said that my number would be removed.
But lone and behold, early the next morning I got another SMS of harassment. Can I lay a charge of harassment at the police station and if so, where would this lead too?

Incompetent Much! Every couple of months the phone starts to ring incessantly often dropping calls, followed by three or four calls, the consultants are looking for a staff member who left in 2006! Surely that debt is prescribed. Thought I would just block the number but every couple of months they reinvent themselves and start to harass our office by calling from different numbers! I wonder if the debt actually collected covers your unnecessary phone bill. Get your act together!

MBD constantly harasses me. They call every week, multiple times a week. They send me sms's asking me to pay accounts which are NOT in my name, and the person they are looking for does not work for me (and they should not be harassing employers to find employees anyway!!!). So the next time FOSCHINI hands out credit to some idiot, tell them to send a detective to find that person and leave me the HELL alone.

Terrible service!!! First of all one consultant cant attend to more than one account for the same client, you have to call back to access the other account which takes forever to get attended to. Secondly, I have paid more than what I was told I owe on both accounts and I am STILL being debited. They just keep adding to the amount which I was told I owe. I cant stand this company. They are incompetent and fraudulent!!! I will not give them anymore of my money until I get a statement showing when I started paying and how much I have paid them for both accounts
I am very angry with theses crooks and i am going to take it up with the ambudsman. My account was R 2500 in October 2017, i started paying R500pm from October until January 2018. I then paid what they said that i am still owing R1 893.12 and i paid it on 26 February 2018, now these thieves are saying i am still owing another R + - 200. I am really taking this further. I have a paid a total of R 3893.12.

My Virgin Active account was canceled in 2012. No debt outstanding. In 2013 they handed me over to MBD. Today we are at the end of 2018. Im still being harassed by the rudest debt collectors from MBD. They swear at you and curse you that they will not stop calling. I have been to their offices aswell and no one is allowed to speak to me. They want you to email all the time. Even if you do they don t respond. I m just going to ignore them and drop their calls. If they persist to threaten me i will have to get the names and addresses of consultants so that my lawyers can harass them. The wheel turns.

MBD have been harassing me for the last 2-3 years on an account I have, on numerous occasions, informed them was fraudulently conducted by someone who I believe works for their client, MTN. They are trying to recover "outstanding" money from me based on activities conducted on my sim card that was removed from my phone. The SIM was removed and stored in my wallet because MTN kept increasing my billing limit, which I did not agree to or authorize and constantly instructed them to reduce. MBD advised I should take up the dispute with their client and not them (which I did and have been ignore ever since) and yet THEY keep calling me about the disputed amount and threaten me that I am liable for any calls they make to me in this regard! THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS!!!!! Harassment and threats - how different is this from gangsterism?! I feel Bullied.

im beyond disgusted with the service i have received with mbd,this morning a guy called me to make an arrangement while i was still explaining he hung up on me,then i took it upon myself to call and obviously using airtime and not water to be passed from reception to the agents and when i get through to the lady agent i had to repeat my ID number close to 5times cos she couldnt hear me as there was loud music playing in the background and before i could confirm any of my details she also hung up on me,il pay my account at the store im not going to be making an arrangement with you guys anymore...THANK YOU!!
Despite this company not being able to provide any proof of a contract between myself and MTN, they continue to harass me daily, sending me rude sms's threatening my credit record and rude phone calls in which I've been sworn at by their callers. All who urge me to pay some fictitious amount from a contract that doesn't exist.
Despite my insistence, they will not release the recordings to me either.
Once I threatened to sue them for harassment, the phone calls stopped and now they just send threatening sms's every single day.

I have been harassed by MBD for the last 2.5 years about an outstanding Truworths Account. I have spoken to Lina, Sonja, Veronica etc all so called supervisors that said they would remove my number from their system. I have never shopped at Truworths and would never ever ever have an account with them in case I would have to deal with MBD!

These are basics that children practice with play phones and yet your staff can't seem to grasp it.

I am really disappointed in MBD. They have been in this collection industry long before the likes of DMC and Paul-something but their services is so bad that even the call centre number makes you hold for 5 minutes then tells you to leave your number they will call you. I don't trust that they will call because I called before 5 minutes before their end of day time and the agent hung up on me and when I called again it said phone tomorrow during office hours. They do not even have a portal like the other collectors to do your own arrangements. I expected a lot more from a company that has been in the collections game for so long, instead MBD service seems to be at its worst. All I wanted was a simple settlement letter and I have spent my airtime calling them for so long with no assistance.
