By far the largest and busiest ski resort on Mt. Hood. This also means it is the most expensive. Arrive before 8 am to guarantee a spot in the main lot. Keep track of the race calendar as well to find the low traffic days.

This is one of the best ski resorts in Oregon. One complaint I have is that there are some flat spots that are difficult to traverse as a snowboarder. Hopefully they can modify the terrain to assist in the track down the mountain. Other than that this place is great!

Mt Hood Meadows is so much more then just a ski area it's a place to create some of the greatest memories you will ever have with family and friends. Add to that the incredible customer service that they provide their guests and the most varied ski terrain in Oregon and you have a world class resort only 60 miles from Portland! With multiple dining areas at the base and on the mountain you can find just the right food for your snow filled excursion.

DO NOT TRUST THE EMPLOYEES THERE!!! OR THE MANAGER BEN!
I wanted to go snowboarding for my birthday for the first time. Three weeks ago my wife booked passes there and rental equipment. We spent about $180. We emailed them because she was sick the night before my birthday to see if we could get refund or choose another day to go to the mountain as a question. On my birthday we called in to ask them and they said it looks like we already refunded it to you guys. We were not happy because she was feeling better and we were going to actually go snowboarding. Either way we said okay how long does it take and she said "it should come back right away to your card!!! THAT WAS NOT THE CASE. We called back 4 days later because we figured that it would come Monday since it was a Thursday when they processed the refund. We decided to spend the money elsewhere and went camping for my birthday instead. we called in Tuesday and they said "it looks like she misinformed you and we are doing an in store credit." they guy said sorry looks like we will get an exception for this and get it processed for you it will take 10 business days!!!
Here we are 2 weeks later and they said sorry we are not going to honor what we said on the phone and our policy says we don't have to and it is what it is!!!!
I DID NOT BELIEVE WHAT MY WIFE TOLD ME. I HAD TO CALL IN TO TALK TO THE MANAGER BEN. I GAVE THEM A LOT OF TIME TO REFUND US. I GAVE THEM THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT BECAUSE I THOUGH THEY WERE A STAND UP COMPANY.
THE MANAGER BEN TRIED REALLY HARD TO CONFUSE ME AND GIVE ME THE RUN AROUND. WHEN HE CALLED ME HE ASKED HOW HE CAN HELP. i SAID "ALL I WANT IS YOU TO SIMPLY REFUND MY WIFE'S CARD LIKE YOU PROMISED" HE SAID THINGS LIKE "YOU SAID YOU UNDERSTAND IN STORE CREDIT IS NOT A MONETARY VALUE RIGHT" I SAID YES I UNDERSTAND THE CONCEPT BUT I STILL WOULD LIKE YOU GUYS TO PLEASE NOT MAKE THIS AS DIFFICULT AS YOU ALREADY HAVE AND JUST GIVE US BACK OUR MONEY LIKE YOU PROMISED MULTIPLE TIMES. AFTER THAT HE PUT WORDS IN MY MOUTH SAYING THINGS LIKE "YOU ASKED ME TO HONOR OUR INITIAL TRANSACTION WITCH WAS GIVING YOU IN STORE CREDIT." I CORRECTED HIM AND REMINDED HIM THAT I DID NOT SAY THAT I ASKED YOU TO SIMPLY REFUND MY CARD SO PLEASE STOP PUTTING WORDS IN MY MOUTH.
I feel really bad for tall the people who have to deal with this verbal abuse who are not ready to argue.
DO NOT EXPECT THEM TO HONOR ANYTHING THEY OFFER!
HOPEFULLY A SMALL CLAIMS LAWSUIT WILL BE WORTH NOT TAKING CARE OF YOUR CUSTOMERS!!

One of the best places to ski in the Pacific Northwest! Great weather, in the winter months, lots of lifts, reliable service, and convenient pass system. The only downside is the parking situation. Most of the time, you will have to park farther away in the secondary lot.

Just wanted to give a shout out to Kenny in ski patrol and Star a nurse at the Providence medical center at Meadows. They did an awesome job taking care of a kiddo I was in charge of for the day who got hurt. There were others who also helped who were great, and I m so appreciative I just don t have all there names. Thank you so much for making the process easy and smooth on a weekend that I m sure was hectic. We appreciate all of you who work so we can have some fun!

Mt. Hood Meadows is an exceptionally well-run ski resort. It might not always have the best snow, but it always has the best service. I was injured there last visit (partial dislocation), and the medical staff are practical, knowledgeable, and attentive. If you do plan to get your shoulder dislocated, I'd recommend Mt. Hood Meadows.

Mt Hood is one the beautiful place I have ever seen. I was there long weekend. We drove from California to Oregon and I had chance to visit this place. The road to Mt hood was awesome and we found many parking space over there. Fortunately, weather was really good. If you like ski this place is a great place for you. Also, you can go there and enjoy from beauty of Mt Hood. Definitely I will be back there and I recommend this place to everyone.

**Edit** The company reached out and corrected the mistake, thank you for resolving the issue and making it right. One star added for the follow up.
Great place to board, hang with friends, eat and drink. But DONT buy from Outer Limit Sports! i Bought a pair of earbuds, my card was scanned once it s a credit card so no pin is needed. The person who checked me out asked if I wanted to put points on my season pass I said yes but I don t have it yet, asked if I could bring it back later to get the points. He said yes. But I didn t realize that meant I had to wait to get the buds. So, I said no I ll just take it now. He said okay I ll have to run your card again because I cancelled the last transaction. He then double charged me for the same earbuds. I said hey you double charged me here is the transaction on my credit card app. He said it takes up to two weeks to show if both went through the first one should go away. Two weeks later I called because both charges were now posted. Left a voicemail. Nothing. I was going up to the mountain to board that weekend so I decided to go in show the double charge and dispute it again. They said, oh hmm that s never happened before. Your going to have to dispute it with cc company...so not only have you wasted my time but now I have to waste more time calling my credit card company to dispute the charge with them. The right thing to do would have been to put that 39.95 charge back on my card, or at least offer my a store credit at that price because apparently they cant refund back to cards. Guaranteed I would have bought another thing that price. Instead, I will never buy from there again and ensure my friends don t either but also I have to waste more time writing this review on every platform because I don t want another customer to have to deal with this as well. Cheers!

The Sasquatch burger was amazing! I was surprised by the special sauce, it was like a tartar sauce with ranch seasoning. They do have Siracha ketchup at the condiment bar, which I think added a nice zip to the burger and added a much needed element to the special sauce.

This is the best ski area close to Portland with a wide variety of terrain. It has easy wide slopes for beginners and crazy steep black for the risky and adventurous. The runs are well groomed. The best powder especially after a snow storm.
Everything is great other than being a season pass holder and up with my son. I wanted to sit outside by one of the fire pits while I wait for my son to get down. Would have probably got something to drink. However was turned away because I was not in a large party. Not at all impressed considering there was plenty of open seating. See picture.

My rating is not for the mountain itself but for the rental equipment!! DO NOT RENT THE GARBAGE THEY RENT HERE!!!!...Especially if it is your FIRST time snowboarding!...you will HATE the sport and not want to continue...the boards they rent are WHITE and dry on the bottom...no wax=no glide!!...i got off the lift and my board wouldn't slide...i would stop and have to scoot constantly...i didn't bring my own board from Canada (so regretted that...but SHOULD assume a rental board would be waxed and that they would want to ENCOURAGE the sport!!) Apparently NOT!

Diverse terrain. Cliffs, parks, trees, groomed-runs, something for everyone. Best resort on Hood. Timberline is flat, flat, flat (but they are open in the summer) and the Ski Bowl is at a much lower elevation so the snow is usually heavier and their season is shorter. Been riding Meadows for 20+ years. Weekend crowds are a bummer but watcha' gonna do.

My wife and I came here with some friends to ski. We got a 3 day package and the slopes and the mountain its self are good.. on the first day the parking lots were full and we had to park down the road and walk to the ski area. On the second day we tried to come up to the parking lots we got turned around and told that they are full.. thats it! No shuttles no Nothing!!! We got turned away.. We waited for an hour before they let us come up. On the last day it was the same story. The employees treated everyone like cattle.. Point and shout. No respect no courtesy. Will not come back again. Penty of other places to go in the northwest.

I had fun here and loved boarding but the place is way too expensive. We did lessons for a 9 year old and they had a blast. Instructor was awesome! 5 stars if the prices weren't so outrageously expensive or some sort of discount ticket existed when I purchased.
If you have celiac disease or have a gluten sensit...
If you have celiac disease or have a gluten sensitivity it is not safe to eat at Mount Hood Meadows. Even worse, the staff there is not properly trained on food allergies.
Yesterday I ordered Deviled Eggs at the Alpenstube Restaurant. They were marked gluten free on the menu and when I ordered them I specifically requested that they be gluten free.
They arrived and had what looked to be a hazelnut crumble on top, which is what the menu said. I began to eat and then realized that there were bread crumbs mixed in with the hazelnuts.
Because gluten makes me very sick (migraines, neck pain, panic attacks, anxiety, fatigue, and digestive problems) I was very worried. I asked my waiter to check with the chef to make sure the dish was gluten free.
The waiter returned saying, yes they are gluten free and walked away. I was still worried. I asked a second waiter to check with the chef. She took my plate from the table, came back and said "Yes, they are gluten free. You are all good."
Everyone at my table agreed there was bread on the plate. I asked the waiter again to check with the chef. THIS WAS THE THIRD TIME not counting the original order and the fact it was marked gluten free on the menu.
Finally, he admitted there was bread on the dish.
I am furious that a restaurant could be so careless and cavalier about food allergies. The food and beverage manager left us waiting for a half hour before speaking to us. The general manager has not returned our calls.
This was handled atrociously.
Were the waitstaff too lazy to to go and ask the chef? Or worse did they realize they made a mistake and try to deny it to cover it up and think I wouldn't notice?
This is a very serious matter and I'm deeply disappointed. If you have food allergies it is not safe to eat at Mount Hood Meadows.

This place is about the most poorly managed ski resort I ve ever been to. Everything is a surprise for these greenhorns. For the cost, the value isn t there. Parking is terrible (although improving since staffing more attendants, they generally are not paying attention and there seems to be little to no clear protocol in place) lift attendants do a generally poor job of filling chairs and keeping lines moving (again, better than in the past, and not their fault, but how about some directive and a clear system for maze building and chair filling), and lodge is a joke (never enough seating, Overpriced tiny lockers, limited and poor food options). Every time there are high winds (which, given that it s on the side of a volcano, is a lot) half the lifts shut down. How about investing the profits from the ridiculous ticket prices into services, like better lifts (a gondola or a tram would help) instead of lining the coffers of the owners?? Customer service is abysmal. Too bad they have little incentive to improve since they re the only legit hill around. Otherwise I d be somewhere else in a heartbeat.

After experiencing a mountain like this, nothing on the East Coast will ever compare. Although, know that during peak season you may need snow chains or need to take the shuttle to get to and from the Mountain. I have had a wonderful time every experience, so far. The only way I feel the ski area could improve is by building a lodge. It would be amazing to stay on the mountain and be able to go right outside to hit the slopes. I know there's an "activist" group that will not allow for this to happen, and it makes zero sense why we can't have nice things and enjoy the natural ski area. I live on the east coast and still got the budget season pass, as if you go 5 days it makes it worth it over all.

First time skiing in over 15 years. Glad I didn't break anything. Lessons first thing in the morning got me back on the slopes and feeling a little more confident. However, when I arrived most people who worked there was very helpful and friendly everyone even the barista. All except for Paul who helped us get a chairlift ticket he couldn't crack a smile. Smile!! It would be so lovely if they had fireplace and some cozier seating!! Keurig coffee maker would be awesome!!! We'd bring the kcups!!
