Ski runs are great, parks are good, staff/teachers are nice the only problem is the lodge. It is fine but could use some upgrades. Needs a better lounge. Also it would be great if it had a hotel! Overall great place.

There was not much snow and it was a little slushy while we were there. Staff took great care of us and our children through the rental process. Lift operators were good with taking caution for us with the kids. Even with low snow coverage there were many runs with enough to make it fun. Night skiing had many lifts and runs still open. The lodge was warm and spacious and offered ample room for resting and having snacks.

I have a love / hate relationship with Mt. Hood. On the one hand, the terrain is varied and challenging. Lots of black diamond runs easily accessible and a substantial amount of well-manicured parks. On the other hand, the snow is more often than not wet, heavy and packed-out by mid-day (there are the various hidden powder stashes, but most of them are only a few turns followed by a long get-back) and Meadows seems set on cramming more visitors onto the mountains than the resort can accommodate, especially now that they are adding more parking without expanding lift access. Not really other game in town though unless you want to travel which seems reflected in their take it or leave attitude.

Great place for kids to receive ski lessons. The kids learn to ski by people who care and enjoy teaching. They provide lunch and give a report card of strengths and weaknesses. Parents can get an adult beverage at the bar and go skiing stress free. Excellent way to spend a weekend. Bring your tire chains just in case.

The largest Ski area on Mt Hood, Ski Meadows has a large mix of green, blue and black diamond runs and Heather Canyon as well for double diamond back country skiing. The lodges have a sit down and fast food style restaurants, and there s a warming shack up in the slopes serving beer and brats. The on site ski shop has everything you forgot at home or lost on the slopes!

Had some of the best riding of my life here, but I don't have a very high bar. God's Face and Private Reserve offer very steep trails with drops and snow that make the traverse, hikes well worth it. The rest of the mountain offers tight trees and very steep bowls as well. Definitely worth the trip if you are in Oregon.

Terrible experience. Especially with officer T. Schroeder. My friend sold me a night ski pass because he left early. I thought this was fine. Little did I know this apparently is larceny? Fine my mistake. But Schroeder told me it wasn t his problem and they proceeded to fine me for a day pass costing $140 even though I was using a night ski pass worth half that. I know. Makes total sense. Talked to one of the servers in the restaurant and he/she admitted pretty freely that they ve bribed lift operators with alcohol and used other friends passes all the time at ski bowl and other places, but apparently an honest mistake warrants jail time and a bail amount of $10,000 at Meadows. Ridiculous. The only text to warn about this is behind the pass itself in 6-8 point font. It s in bold font though, so I ll give them that. No sign anywhere to be seen in the lobby or at the clerk desk. No where. Asked Officer Schroeder why that was and he told me it wasn t his problem. Well, you can understand why I probably won t be coming back here any time soon. Also didn t appreciate the shady behavior of the lift operators who lied to me telling me that the ticket could be transferred to me and that the officers weren t there to arrest me even though that s exactly what they threatened me with and no such transfer option existed. They just assumed that I was going to run for some reason? And that manipulating me was appropriate behavior.

Cant recommend due to the poor customer service. Bad weather caused 75% of the lifts to be closed. They were closed all day, the chairs had been removed from some. No discount at all was offered on tickets.

Ski resort that is praying for snow instead of doing something about snowmaking. They charge arm and leg for the tickets and season passes but nothing is for sure. If it snows you will get to ski here, if it doesn't than too bad. Hope they will realize that snowmaking is the future before it's too late for them.
Did I mention that it's crowded as hell?

Excellent ski resort! Staff are really friendly, do a great job and the area is very well maintained. Lots of food options but all quite expensive as you would expect. There is a microwave for free use so you can factor that in if bringing your own lunches! There's also a rental shop right by the car park, offering daily rentals of high quality gear. Book in advance for discounts on ski rentals, and check with your hotel because they may offer discounted lift passes.

The lifts are top notch and the lines have been fantastic. If you know where to park and ride hrm you can avoid the crowds on packed days. Season passes for the last few years have been worth every penny. If you like steeps this is the location on Hood for you.

We have been coming here for years. Meadows never disappoints. The past few years we have purchased night season passes as they work better with school age kids. The website shows accurate hourly condition updates. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Meadows also continues to update as time goes on. Awesome family friendly resort.

Meadows, where do I start? Excited for a day of skiing with my wife and best friend. The skiing did not disappoint, but Mt Hood Meadows did. As we drive up to Meadows, a rude parking attendant , who was annoyed with my simple question, didn't know what was going on. I'm from Alaska and have tried Meadows once before. But after today I cannot return. The mountain closed 5 hours earlier than advertised on their website, I was told parkijg was full (by the rude attendant) but found a spot right away. While we only purchased 3 lift tickets and a gear rental and two beers, Meadows will never see my hard earned money again.

It's a fairly nice ski area with a good diversity of terrain and many express chairs. We went on an uncrowded day, but I think the layout of the mountain would keep crowds at least somewhat spread out.

One bright spot was that quite a bit of grooming was available on an icy day, and there were even some spots of actual turnable snow down in Heather Valley.

We did have some trouble getting from various spots on the mountain to other spots as some of the lifts were shut down, and some slight uphill travel may be required at times.

One of the closest resorts to the metro area making this place packed on weekends and therefore their prices have gone way up due to the demand. I personally will be driving a little further for better snow and better prices

Awesome place to ski and snowboard. Lots of space and a large variety of slopes for beginners to experts. The lodge area is great, but things are a bit overpriced. Still, the main part of the trip was a great experience, and I would definitely recommend skiing or snowboarding there.

I have a season pass here. It s the better resort in the area in my opinion. It s not the best resort I ve been to (I ve been to many), but it s definitely the better choice around! Steeper and bigger than Timberline, which is nice when it dumps snow! And I really like going on the Hood River side, it gives you the feeling of going to a smaller more friendly resort. Overall, very nice resort!

Really great mix of beginner, intermediate and advanced trails. The lodge is comfy and has just about everything you'd need for a ski day. It's also the biggest ski resort on Mount Hood, so if you're looking for a great selection of trails this is the spot!

We've lived in Central West Oregon for 3 years now, arriving from Hawaii but don't start barking at me yet! I was born and raised in Kirkwood Meadows, Lake Tahoe.
I know good skiing facilities when I see them. My Uncle built Kirkwood (Bud Klein), one of the nation's Top 10 Resorts.

This facility rates right up there with the best, offering a unique adventure for everyone in the family. From first time on a board or sticks, to the adventurist powder hound..you'll find a Solid Day of fun! Staff are as kind to you as you are to them. Remember "We're all human"! If you're so hoity toidy that you have to be waited on hand and foot..take a trip to Tokyo! Seems you wouldn't have issues if you were doing what you came here to do- "Ski"!
