I wanted to go snowboarding for my birthday for the first time. Three weeks ago my wife booked passes there and rental equipment. We spent about $180. We emailed them because she was sick the night before my birthday to see if we could get refund or choose another day to go to the mountain as a question. On my birthday we called in to ask them and they said it looks like we already refunded it to you guys. We were not happy because she was feeling better and we were going to actually go snowboarding. Either way we said okay how long does it take and she said "it should come back right away to your card!!! THAT WAS NOT THE CASE. We called back 4 days later because we figured that it would come Monday since it was a Thursday when they processed the refund. We decided to spend the money elsewhere and went camping for my birthday instead. we called in Tuesday and they said "it looks like she misinformed you and we are doing an in store credit." they guy said sorry looks like we will get an exception for this and get it processed for you it will take 10 business days!!!
Here we are 2 weeks later and they said sorry we are not going to honor what we said on the phone and our policy says we don't have to and it is what it is!!!!
I DID NOT BELIEVE WHAT MY WIFE TOLD ME. I HAD TO CALL IN TO TALK TO THE MANAGER BEN. I GAVE THEM A LOT OF TIME TO REFUND US. I GAVE THEM THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT BECAUSE I THOUGH THEY WERE A STAND UP COMPANY.
THE MANAGER BEN TRIED REALLY HARD TO CONFUSE ME AND GIVE ME THE RUN AROUND. WHEN HE CALLED ME HE ASKED HOW HE CAN HELP. i SAID "ALL I WANT IS YOU TO SIMPLY REFUND MY WIFE'S CARD LIKE YOU PROMISED" HE SAID THINGS LIKE "YOU SAID YOU UNDERSTAND IN STORE CREDIT IS NOT A MONETARY VALUE RIGHT" I SAID YES I UNDERSTAND THE CONCEPT BUT I STILL WOULD LIKE YOU GUYS TO PLEASE NOT MAKE THIS AS DIFFICULT AS YOU ALREADY HAVE AND JUST GIVE US BACK OUR MONEY LIKE YOU PROMISED MULTIPLE TIMES. AFTER THAT HE PUT WORDS IN MY MOUTH SAYING THINGS LIKE "YOU ASKED ME TO HONOR OUR INITIAL TRANSACTION WITCH WAS GIVING YOU IN STORE CREDIT." I CORRECTED HIM AND REMINDED HIM THAT I DID NOT SAY THAT I ASKED YOU TO SIMPLY REFUND MY CARD SO PLEASE STOP PUTTING WORDS IN MY MOUTH.
I feel really bad for tall the people who have to deal with this verbal abuse who are not ready to argue.
DO NOT EXPECT THEM TO HONOR ANYTHING THEY OFFER!
HOPEFULLY A SMALL CLAIMS LAWSUIT WILL BE WORTH NOT TAKING CARE OF YOUR CUSTOMERS!!
