Mr. Mofongo Review

Delicious eaten and enjoyed the dishes. Location is good, and it is very nice :) of course also a fast service and friendly staff. Here I will definitely go again!

Nice and tasty dishes. Not the cheap but worth the price. Only downside was that waitresses were very busy pushing me, so that the next one could sit down. Gave a "Eat up and poop feeling". A shame because that brought the rest of the experience down. Nevertheless, 4 stars for the food.

Wonderful frites and steak. Ramen had spaghetti noodles instead of ramen or Udon, but was still tasty.

Very chic tent! Nice to drink a cocktail. The spirits are all in the wall and are removed with the help of a robot arm. You have to come here somewhat early, otherwise they will no longer have a place. Of course on the pricey side but those are always cocktails.

Wow what a mix of themes in this place.. spent a few hours at the very top in the wine bar... talking wine with the knowledgeable wait staff and watching the robotic wine poured... truely unique experience...

Cocktails at the first floor are a must in Groningen!

Super nice restaurant, there is much to see and it is certainly an experience in itself! I was not very hungry myself and took a starter as a main course, which I was super happy with afterwards. The main courses of my family were quite a big bite; but it was very tasty!

The cocktail bar and wine bar are really an experience and we also tried some cocktails there. Awesome! Very friendly service and a nice restaurant!

For cocktails, this is the place to be in Groningen. This place is unique because of the cocktail robot and the other ingenious devices in the interior.

If you can stop staring at the big mechanical arm getting ingredients for your cocktail you might find yourself noticing there are really nice people around .
I didn't try the food but the selection of cocktails is pretty good and you can always ask the staff for recommendations.

Yes. Oh yes. Fusion cuisine with a little bit of everything but especially very well cooked and a nice blend of tastes and decent amounts of food.

The interior is lovely and the staff is nice, fast and friendly. Not the place to visit if you're looking for typical Dutch food but if you love food, you can't afford to not have been to this this place.

At Mr. Mofongo I recently ate a delicious satay. The portion was larger than average in my opinion for the price range Mr. Mofongo uses compared to other restaurants. The satay meat was wonderfully tender, the satay sauce was seasoned with Asian spices and the dish also served with atjar, cassava and lime rice. The lime rice was different than I imagined, in my opinion this was normal rice with a wedge of lime. Despite that, I still give 5 stars. The food was served quickly in my opinion and the service is very friendly. In addition to satay, a portion of spareribs was also ordered at my table, these were also very popular. If you are looking for a middle class restaurant with a casual and cozy atmosphere then Mr. Mofongo definitely recommended.

An adventure every time, literally and figuratively. Mr. Mofongo never disappoints and offers delicious food and a cozy atmosphere for a reasonable price.

Location is great - that s the only positive thing to mention. Service is super slow, menu choice is limited and they even didn t want to split the bill among friends (which is very common in the Netherlands).

Heads up for people that want to get a bento box at mofongo, because you will get plain rice (on the menu it's advertised as "poke bowl" but poke bowl is not just plain white rice) 3 empty buns, some meat and crocket. It used to be really good with fish and more fresh, but that's not the case anymore. Now it's really not worth 12 euros.

We loved the atmosphere! It's a beautiful blend of international pub food served in a near-steampunk old-Dutch-meets-millenial brewery. It's as fun to wander around the various rooms as to sit and cozily watch the rain stream down the glass roof panes. Service was very good, the pizza was yummy--super thin and crunchy crust with quality ingredients on top--and house drinks were reasonably priced. Cocktails were expensive, but it's worth it to just come for wine or a beer on tap. And apparently you can make a reservation for a dinnertime distilling experience!

This place is so much bigger than you would expect, downstairs is excellent but if you want an even more special spot go to the winner bar on the top level. This place has a few robots who make your drink, one for the cocktails (off which they brew the liquor themselves) and a second robot which pours your wine

The omelette on the menu is good. Baked just right and delicious bread. Staff serve decently. The industrial interior has a beautiful appearance

The bar looks nice and cozy inside. We always wanted to eat once. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich without mustard and my friend the croquettes. It took a very long time before we could order something. The ministry kept walking by, but never came to us. In the end we walked there ourselves to place our order. When we got the food there was mustard on my sandwich and the croquettes were still cold inside. Croquettes sent back and eventually got good. When we had finished eating they didn't come to get our empty plates or ask if we wanted anything else (it was very quiet). In the end we walked after checkout and paid. A bit of a shame as we expected more after all the positive stories.

They are brewing their own alcoholic drinks and have a robotic arm which will climb up a 7 meter high wall to get your shotglasses filled woth likeur. They do also burn the coffee beans at the spot creating delicious smells and grow their own herbs for their dishes on the top floor. Truely a craftmanship that is worth to visit no matter who you are and where you're from! The service is also great and the price quality balance is about right!

You can order a drink downstairs, but they don't call you if there is room upstairs. Strange way.

Insanely bad service (on the terrace). Was reconfirmed today: not busy, waited 20 minutes for a coffee, inquired several times, ended up drinking the coffee elsewhere. Too bad that the service in such a beautiful location presents itself so badly!

Cozy terrace. Because it was warm, ice cubes were sprinkled outside on the terrace ...

Great place to eat brunch, meal or dinner. Also good for coffee and take the break in there. A little bit expensive, but I'm sure that it's gonna worth it.

Great burgers! Serious portions too. The ambiance inside is really good. Very nice done with the robot arm in the Distillery. The cocktails are well priced and lots of variety.

Food was incredible. Steak was perfectly cooked. Go upstairs and watch the wine Robot do its magic.
