We were hesitant based on other reviews but were absolutely delighted!! The drinks were not expensive. There was little wait for food. And we were able to get a good table without reservation. Very friendly staff!
You won't believe your eyes, this place has its own distillery and robots to make your drinks. Absolutely a must see when you're around.

Eaten here for the first time. Never had such good spare ribs as here. The well-known cocktails were also delicious. Service was also perfect. Will definitely come back here again!

We go out for dinner regularly, but rarely do I see the need to write a positive review at the Mr. Mofongo was so good that I will do it this time. As an appetizer we had the anti pasti which was excellent. As main course the sticky ribs, these spare ribs were of exceptional quality I have rarely enjoyed spare ribs. Finally, we enjoyed the Chocolate hotpot, a combination of warm browny with excellent ice cream and salted caramel, definitely recommended. The service was also very good. All in all an exceptionally good restaurant, one that I can recommend to anyone.
Tappas main course was very tasty. However, it was an awful lot. Fortunately, it was therefore not recommended to take a starter.
The interior of Mr. Mofongo is super fun. There is a lot to see, but it is not hysterical. It was just incredibly hot there! Thank you for choosing between a small and large portion of spare ribs. The spare ribs were not very tender, but very tasty in taste. The cocktails are also delicious. Very nice place, also to take someone with you who doesn't visit Groningen very often.

Had lunch here on a Friday afternoon. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very pleasant and inviting. For a nice lunch there are more than enough options! The food on the accompanying photo is the Mofongo Classic Hummus. I can also highly recommend this! The price / quality ratio is above expectations and for lunch / dinner I have a new place in Groningen!
Mr. Mofongo is a very cozy restaurant where you can eat and drink something delicious. The cocktails are highly recommended and the spare ribs are also very good! So you can go here for a tasty bite to eat as well as for a nice drink!

Great place for good quality food and drinks! Ambience is great and better than most of the restaurants in Groningen. Menu has a wide variety of choices. Price is a bit on the high side. They also have a robot arm which can make drinks for a customer. Place is always lively and you will always find people. They have 3 floors where you can sit. Great place to go , different from the usual Groningen restaurants.

Head upstairs to see the "wall of booze", forty or more different spirits rising up two floors and served by a robot arm, as well as their own micro-distillery. Deep fried "mora" snacks was a complete joke, as was the pizza bread. That was downright bad.
Shrimps, cold from the fridge, should have been warm with a cocktail sauce, this was missing.
Furthermore, a refined nacho cheese (cinema) bite. (Reasonable)
Olives (good), cheese (good), salmon (also from the cooler of appiehappie with a dill sauce spareribs without bone (reasonable)
Plus point: absolutely not expensive

Nice place in a nice location. And handy for groups because the card goes in all directions. The latter is also my criticism. The menu goes in all directions and is not really good at anything. I have eaten there a handful of times and there is always something small wrong. No disasters and a great place to have dinner with a group. But actually too expensive for what it is.

Be sure to go to the cocktail bar upstairs. Wide selection of spirits and drinks which are well served although it takes some time to get it ordered. On the expensive side! Reason why I don't give 5 stars: it's a student city and they charge (at least) 10 per drink. Also, they don't allow to split the bill: another minus for us students

Super cool, especially the wine bar on the top floor. Where a robot is "tapped" wines by the glass via injection in the cork. This together with various street food enjoying with groofie music.

If you want to drink really tasty cocktails, you've come to the right place. With their unique robotic arm, the alcoholic ingredients are shaken in your cocktail in front of you. On Friday and Saturday I would go there on time, otherwise you run the risk of having to wait a long time before a place becomes available.
