Left our building with a faulty water heater during the coldest months of the year. They passed the buck to the building's owner and left us with no recourse. After disputes, they offered a paltry deduction on rent that has yet to be delivered upon a month and a half later. 0 responses to any communications trying to rectify the issue in a diplomatic manner. Proceed with caution...

Extremely incapable of resolving issues, largely because they fail at providing property managers with adequate resources and the tenants suffer as a result. Be wary of this company
ALFID has a modern tenant communication system that allows you to report any problem online and receive notifications via email / SMS. The building is very clean and safe, and repairs are done frequently.
Incredibly bad management at all levels - unresponsive, non-communicative, and very frustrating to deal with these people. Incoming calls are ignored and business "owners" pass the buck down to the lowest management level who are people without the skills or knowledge to resolve issues. All they have to do is provide support and answer questions but they refuse to do so.
BTW, this is a comment about Alfid so don't ask which building this relates to. These problems are with the head office.
We wanted to buy a semi-commercial building held in mandate with this agency, then he fooled us for 2 weeks to be able to make the offer. Laurence Binette too busy to come to see us, and constantly refused to send us the offer by email of the never seen ..... never returned these calls and answered us only by email. We were talking about a transaction at 2.9M imagine. In short, any experience with them !!! If you have a building to sell well you just have to read their comment ... you will be scalded.

The worst management, owner and service I have had in my life with Alfid Group. They contacted me by phone for rent increase one month after the legal deadline. A rise of $ 40 !!! Congratulations Alfid!
Where do I start..... they always putting the rent increase and said they will do renovation... 2015 - 2020 been there and the first renovation they said would be the balcony changed... guess what they just demolished the balcony on the ground floor and that was it... then they said they will paint but until today nothing repainted has been done then there is this thing that said they will change the carpet.... well... you should know by now whats the outcome to that....
people that have been living here for decades are moved and moving out still....
also if you go againts the janitor for some reason there will be a lot things that will be at your hands for you have no clue what and how and why
if you have a something wanted to get fix at your appartment you get the respons right away BUT JUST TO TELL YOU, THAT THEY WILL CHECK ON IT IN A WEEK....after they checked then you'll get it to be done total waiting amount of period MORE THAN A MONTH AT LEAST THATS THE MINIMUM...
AND IT SAYS ON THE BUILDING THAT NO DOGS ALLOWED BUT MOST PEOPLE THERE HAVE DOGS INCLUDING THE JANITOR IT SELF....
It litteraly says on the building that no dogs allowed and well most tenants. have even the new tenants just move in....

AND IF YOU REQUEST OF EVEN ASKED WHO IS THE BUILDING OWNER BECAUSE YOU WANTED TO BRING THE MATTER TO THE OWNER YOURSELF.... GOOD LUCK.... THEY WILL NEVER EVER TELL YOU NOR GET YOUR LETTER GET THROUGH THE OWNER... BECAUSE IM NOT SO SURE EITHER IF THERE IS AN OWNER OF THIS BUILDING WHO REALLY DONT CARE ABOUT THE PEOPLE THAT LIVES HERE OR MAYBE THE MESSAGES DONT EVEN REACH THE OWNER....
ANYWAYS... IF YOU WANNA HAVE PROBLEMS... STRESS....HAVING YOUR MIND PUZZLE AND BLOCK AND WORRIES AND A MESSED UP SITUATION.... WELL LIVE HERE

I want to thank Alfid for doing a great job during this Covid situation. Thanks for putting up all the information and signs and disinfectants in our buildings, and for caring about all the tenants.
Avoid at all cost, impossible to ever get into touch with management for any issues, over charge for sub par quality units and they attempt to increase the rent by the max every year with absolutely 0 improvements to the units or the building.

This has to be the worst company, they will go out of their way to not help any tenant out and screw them in every possible way ever. Word of wisdom, stay away from buildings under this name.
Absolutely HORRIBLE at resolving serious issues (multiple infestations, plumbing, heating, etc) yet they demand ridiculously high rent increases year after year. New tenants beware.
I'd give a fat ZERO. The 5 stars here only come from Alfid emplyees Joel CHAREYRON and Laurence Binette. Nobody else would recommend this company. They manage tenants by harassing and bullying them.
Ignore your letters, do not do anything to solve serious problems, do not follow up when they say they "will solve a problem". Try to raise the rent drastically after one year for no good reason.
