We have eaten here several times, both with a large and a small group. Fortunately reserved in advance. Even our dog was welcome and also received a bowl of water. The menu changes seasonally, which of course makes it fresh and new. Service is flexible, attentive, and fast. The food itself tastes great, and fortunately not too large portions, leaving room for dessert. We do not recognize ourselves in the negative reviews of years ago, but perhaps that is the reason that it is now great food there, in a beautiful place on the Veluwe! Highly recommended!

Cozy terrace. Sun or shade. Large umbrellas. Smooth operation. Good "lunch" menu! Tasty dishes on the 'planking' starters.

Unfriendly service. Iced coffee was nothing like it. Came from a package? Diet Coke became Coke Zero. That is something else! Was put down without explanation. Pancake was ok. Otherwise 0 stars. There is also a lot of traffic along the terrace.

Not reserved. Was very busy yet found a place for us. Have had coffee here before and I liked it. So on the way home, grab a bite to eat. That was amazing. Very friendly fine service. What came to the table was more than enough and very well taken care of. My compliments and tomorrow morning on the way back to Rijssen we come again for coffee. Fine food and friendly service. Inside it looks a lot nicer than you would think from the outside. Recommended are the salads, stir-fried mussels and desserts. The steak steak was good, but rather medium rare rather than medium.

What a grumpy waitress and boss. With an attitude of "all those annoying customers". "They should be happy to get a place here." We were not alone, others just walked out for the main course. Not us, the food was okay.

De Bonte Koe is a pleasantly decorated restaurant with a menu for everyone. From pancake to sucade steak, from mustard soup to a very elaborate bouncer. But you can also go there for a cup of coffee or a special beer. All this at an acceptable price. All this served by patient and friendly staff. Definitely recommended if you want to recover from a bicycle or walking tour.

Booked here without references based on the menu (mix of everything from meat to fish to pancake). On the patio table for two. Operation is nothing wrong with that. Friendly and efficient. Card not special and that's what you get. Nothing wrong with that either. Pancake chosen, was just cooked (I make better at home) but really not much worse than a real pancake restaurant. Partner had meat and fish and loved it. Great time spent. The only thing really is the traffic when you sit outside. It thunders, raced and honks past. But if you are inside then no problem of course. Now read other references. We have not experienced the negative ministry references. Remains personal. 3 stars. Price remains relatively high ... but don't complain during the high season in the Veluwe.

Wait a long time for a glass of wine, "my colleague will (not) take the order", pumpkin soup that has more of zucchini soup, sauce in a plastic container and then a pasta salad with game.

Yum, tasty pancakes and very attentive staff. Not specifically a restaurant to eat with children (there are no toys, but a coloring picture). The menu contains a lot more than just pancakes. We come here 2x every year with a large group and the pancakes are always all ready at the same time (that's not the case everywhere ;-))

Our evening was very disappointing. From the welcome to the food. If you are asked twice if everything is OK and if you indicate that you are not, with the reason why, you are then said: Thank you for passing on. Well, if you don't act on it, don't ask. We will go elsewhere from now on.

Looking for a nice restaurant on the way back from Ermelo home and we came out with this. And I really enjoyed that! Great food, nice staff, nice atmosphere and decor. Yes, if I am ever in the area again, I know where I am going to eat!

Had a nice lunch. Great to do here. Beautiful surroundings with great cycling routes. Too bad they don't have a mobile pin. Furthermore, a nice restaurant on a slightly too busy road.

The cook has his own interpretation of "medium". I would have called that "weird" before. Okay but not very special. Portions are not very big. Not a problem for me, I am not a big eater, but on average many people will probably find this a little less.

Service was friendly, motivated and with enough people. The food is ok. Meals' fish tasted great and my spare ribs too. The carpaccio was not great. Fairly dry and tasteless. Pine nuts would have had more flavor if they had been roasted for a while and it had been sliced quite thickly. A plus is that they have Coca-Cola and no Pepsi. Prices could have been a bit sharper, which I think is a bit too high in the price / quality ratio. Fries were a bit short, but if you ask for an extra bowl, it will be there quickly.
