Candace Vanore is the best. If you are looking for a car give her a call, she is great and truly cares about making sure you are 100% happy with the car. I was buying from out of town and She noted some minor body damage on a car I was considering that would have been difficult to see even if you were looking for it. She was upfront and honest about this saying she could not sell me the car in that condition and found me a different one that was pretty much exactly what I was looking for. Told them everything upfront because I didn't want to waste my time and they said come on down here we can do something and then I have gotten the run around for past week or more. Promises to call back and follow up and you have to keep calling . I could go on forever !!!! Do not go here !!!!

My experience with Montgomery Motors up until the purchase of our new vehicle was great. However, the after sale customer service from the sales/manager employees is awful. I had a couple issues that needed to be taken care of and was promised it would be after the sale. They gave me the hardest time going back and forth, making multiple calls without call backs and poor customer service. I was hung up on and told there were other things more important even after having prior arrangements with them. After a week and a half I finally received the car and still had to figure certain issues out myself. At this point I have not received my contract and have to drive to another dealership to receive the code for my door. After 10 years of customer loyalty I will not be purchasing another car from Montgomery Motors.

Candace is the person to deal with! Great experience. No pushy sales approach. She shoots you straight and tries her best to work with you! She hooked me up with a 2016 Toyota Tacoma Limited and I am a very happy customer! I don't know what they are paying Candace, but she's worth more in my opinion. Thanks for all you guys did!

My husband id 72 years old and has bought many vehicles during his lifetime, but this was the most pleasant experience he can remember. The Sales manager, Kevin Smith quoted a very fair trade-in offer on our trade-in, which they honored exactly as discussed, even though sight unseen. We drove over four hours to purchase the vehicle, because it was the best deal within 200 miles. We arrived after closing in the evening, due to bad road conditions - and the Sales manager, finance manager and salesman all stayed after closing more than two hours to be sure all details were completed satisfactorily. When we arrived the vehicle was exactly as described - all detailed with new floor mats, new tires, a fresh oil change, a full tank of gas and new spark plugs installed as we had requested. Then as we completed the financing, the salesman, Julian London, transferred all of our items from our trade-in to the new vehicle - and even remembered our I-Pass attached to the inside of the windshield, which I would never have thought of. They then provided us with a hat, pen, hitch plug and keychain, including changing our key rings over. They could not have been more polite and courteous, both during negotiation for the sale and after the purchase. The used vehicle we bought looked like new and drove like new- and had additional features we were unaware of including back-up camera and power fold down third row seats. Julian then even checked back in the morning to be sure that our trip home went OK and has since followed up to be sure that we are completely satisfied - 5+ Stars!!! Buying from this dealership is well worth the drive...

We always take our vehicles to Montgomery Motors for service and have never had any problems with anyone that works there. They are extremely courteous and always prompt with what they are working on.

MONTGOMERY MOTORS IS UNFAIR
I recently purchased a Chevy Suburban from Montgomery Motors. I bought the vehicle "as is" with great selling points like "ice cold a/c, heated seats, etc" at fair market value of $11,300. I drove my new Chevy for less than a week when the "Ice cold A/C" quit. I called the salesman Mark Johnson and informed him of the problem. He said he would talk to his service manager, then they told me to bring it in and they would look at it. I took the vehicle into the service dept. mechanic Michael Mungin. The service statement says he evac and recharged the a/c. I was called and told it was ready and to come pick up the truck .Surprisingly, I was handed a bill for $85.00 for the repair work. I paid that bill, and left again. However, this time the a/c stopped working within 15 miles (from Ford in Troy to Albemarle)! I called the dealership back several times asking for my salesman's assistance with the continued problem, and was told "I'll get back with you" each time. When I finally was able to get in touch with the salesman Mark Johnson (today 9-4-15, 20 days since date of purchase), he put me through to the general manager Kevin Smith. I explained to him the problem I had been having (this was his first time hearing anything about it), he then told me there was nothing he could do because I bought the vehicle "as is". I have been dealing with Montgomery Motors for 11 years, I have never had any problems with them thus-far. I have 6 Ford vehicles that I've had serviced through them over the last 11 years, and am very disappointed with the new management. I have been a business owner all my life, I know what its like to sell a product and have to repair or replace something when its broken. I have had to eat cost in the past, but I did to save face. To keep my reputation good in the world of business. I am not looking for something for nothing, just to be treated fairly and with respect and for companies to be accountable for their selling a vehicle or product that clearly had a bigger problem when they sold it, and now I am stuck footing the bill. I am no longer dealing with Montgomery Ford. I will forevermore deal with Chevy and hopefully they have a sense of integrity.

When my friend began his search for his next vehicle, he spent weeks searching online for the perfect deal. He decided on his make and model, Ford F-150. We picked out a few trucks online and started calling dealers. We spent two days going to different dealers in SC and NC. Most we felt like just another customer. My friend had decided on a 2009-2011 model. Other dealers did not treat us as respectfully as I think they would have if we were looking for a New model truck. After visiting a dealer in Charlotte, NC, being disappointed at the curtness of other, we decided to have lunch and head back home to SC. While at lunch, he used his phone to pull up a search for F-150s within 75 miles thinking it would direct us back to Columbia, SC. Fortunately for us, it pointed us to a dealership in Troy, NC. 60 or so miles as the crow flies from Charlotte but about an hour and a half drive.

My friend decided to call the dealership to make sure the advertised car was available as one of the other dealers had tried to pull the bait and switch. He spoke to a salesman named Julian London. He was very respectful and courteous on the phone with us even though we were not looking at buying a $30k car/truck. He let us know the car was on the lot and he would hold it for us to take a look at. On the drive there, we were pleasantly surprised when Mr. London sent him a text message letting him know that he was having the truck detailed so it would look its absolute best. Now this is fairly common when making an appointment to test drive a vehicle, but generally isn't admitted to (making you think the car is naturally sparkly) or done so quickly.

When we were arrived, we were greeted by the Gen Manager who directed us to Mr. London. The truck was freshly cleaned and waiting on us. The truck matched the description perfectly which included minor flaws in the exterior. The price was fair when compared to the competitors we had been too earlier. One concern my friend was having a trade in that still had a lean on it due to an outstanding loan on the vehicle. The initial estimate for the trade was on the lower end and when combined with the asking price of the truck, it made the purchase unfeasible. Mr. London worked with us and the mystery people in the finance department to close the gap of doable and impossible. Suffice it say by the star rating above, we left in my friends new (to him) truck. The whole process took about 3 hours which only seems long to anyone who has not purchased a car. 3 hours was actually quite reasonable as they have sufficient amenities to use for comfort and entertainment for those who are spectating on the car buying process.

Troy, NC, is a town I would have probably never visited, but I had a fairly enjoyable time. My friend had a better time as he got a good deal on a good vehicle. I would recommend anyone looking for a good car buying/shopping experience in or around NC to take the trip to Montgomery Motors in Troy. If possible I would also recommend you asking for Mr. London as he was a personable and professional salesman without being overly pushy or intrusive.

My experience at Montgomery Motors was wonderful because the salesman Harley was very helpful, and knowledgeable. He was able to put me in the vehicle that I wanted within a price range I could afford. I would recommend him to anyone interested in a vehicle from Montgomery Motors.

We stopped by the dealership to look at a car, and it ended up not being exactly what we were looking for, so instead of giving up (like many dealerships would), he kept working with us and the end result - a much nicer car than we ever thought we could be in for the payment we were looking for - so we are ecstatic with our Lincoln MKX! We also had the pleasure of meeting Scott who was very genuine and ensured our visit met our expectations - which it far surpassed! Again, we could not be more happy and excited about how easy this car buying process was, and the car we drove away in! Beware of Montgomery Motors, I purchased a ford focus (used) 2013 with 36,000 miles in November, only because I had to, my truck just died, over 5000.00 dollars to repair my truck, go the car, loved it, great on gas, everything.
Transmission started slipping, found out that the new trans they are putting in the focus and fusion are causing problems, mine did it. Sent ti to the Biscoe shop to be repaired, get a call at 8:20 this morning from the shop stating I need a new starter, the housing on my starter was broken? There should be some type of warranty, since I just bought the car, guess what NOT, so I offered to pay half of the price for the starter and ford pay the other half....Now I have called and spoken with my salesman, I'm not pissed at him but I am pissed at the Owner, Mr. Smith, his response to me paying half, just put the old starter back on and see what happens. Not no, but hell no, I'm paying for a new starter and done with Montgomery Motors.

They might have the best prices around, but due to headaches and customer service I would rather spend the extra cash. First, i purchased a vehicle 3 months ago and even referred a family member who also purchased a vehicle. I have to say if your reading this, i wouldn't advise you to buy from this company. The people who work there including management should take a class on how to treat customers. Me and my family member both waited months after the purchase of our vehicles to receive our plates. We called in and they made excuses of why it wasn't sent yet. Also, since I referred someone I get a whopping $100. Well 3 months later and I keep getting the run around on why I haven't gotten the check. I spoke with the office manager who was sweet at first until I asked her to overnight the check due to the fact that it's been well over 3 months. She coped an attitude just like every other management team there and said we aren't paying $35 for an overnight check. I think thats the least they could do to make up for their mistake. It's not like I didn't give them 16k cash and my family member 12k. ****I DO NOT RECOMMEND MONTGOMERY MOTORS JUST FOR THE FACT THAT THEY ARE RUDE AND DON'T KNOW HOW TO TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS****

With nearly 15 years of sales management experience under my belt the last thing I look for when shopping is to 'be sold'.

Each and every experience I have had with this dealer has been positive and encouraged me to render multiple referrals. I have never felt like the staff was working for a commission rather multiple times I have watched them rally together to be sure my needs were met. From simple service and repair requests to the purchase of multiple vehicles my experience has always been consistent. Even when faced with an intermittent issue on a Certified Pre-Owned Lincoln, Brandon and his manager Kelvin in service were determined to isolate and diagnose the problem. They not only succeeded, they insured that I had a vehicle to drive and made pickup/return convenient to my busy schedule. Every purchase I have made at Montgomery Motors has been handled with the utmost professionalism and efficiency by Ben and his sales/finance staff. Most recently he shouldered the daunting task of searching for the right model and features with very little of my personal time spent. As for the financing I told him what I wanted to spend and he had a solution in no time. He allowed me top dollar for my trade and presented me with a new Explorer at an interest rate the Credit Union could not beat. The price was more competitive than not only local dealers but other online buying options as well. So far my truck runs great. I need to put a shot of freon so my a.c.will blow colder air, and one of my friends was riding in the bed and he said it sounds like a wheel bearing was going out.

I was on the fence about Montgomery motors after our 1st purchase didn't go very well (long story). However, when I contacted Candice the sales manager at Ford to look at and purchase a second vehicle she was beyond helpful. She listen to what we wanted and our needs. Then she made our purchase happen without a hiccup. She was not our salesperson, but she stayed with us throughout the whole sales process. I still have a couple of issues I need to have taken care of and I will write a second review once they are finished.
