If you re staying in the area, it s definitely worth the trip to go! The food was outstanding and had beautiful presentation. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. The only thing I m upset about is saving it for the end of my trip because If I had more time I would have gone every day for a different course! Tuesday s and Saturday s they have a farmers market outside with local goods.

It was really delicious :)

Where to visit if you are vegan!
I wanted to eat everything, so I was troubled by the menu selection disorder, and the boss recommended it to me as a sampler. ! result? Satisfaction.

Most of the food we had was great and presentation was very well done! We are vegan but we aren't raw vegan. Some of the raw dishes were a little out there for people who are not used to it, while some of the others you wouldn't even be able to tell. The main reason for the 4 stars is not cause of the food but the service. I ordered a drink when we sat down and the waiter even repeated our order including it but it never came. I tried to wave him down several times when I realized it wasn't coming but he didn't even look our direction to see if we needed anything.

This place blew my mind with its flavor, speed and creativity! I highly recommend the ravioli and the soup plus the triple cake share dessert. This is the best place in Ubud for vegan food that will make you wonder why you don't eat like this all the time. (Note, I've been all over in Ubud last year and this year to many veggie/vegan places)

Great experimental vegan food! Located a bit in the middle of nowhere, which is great and quiet, but it was lacking a bit of ambience. Food was great though, but should have alcohol on the menu too. After a long day at work, eating dinner with friends often starts with an aperitif. The best drink that resembles alcohol is the ginger spritz.

Absolutely fantastic food! Try the eggplant main and/or the tempeh ribs. Staff is very friendly and we got a tour through the permaculture garden. The dessert was not quite as overwhelming.

We have eaten there twice. The location and the vibes are great, the personnel as well. I recommend coming for the Saturday farmer s market and staying for lunch. Some of the food was out of this world, other less so. Definitely try the tacos and avocado enchiladas. Chef s bowl is awesome too and fried tempeh salad is amazing as well. The raw pancakes are super sexy and passionfruit strawberry cheesecake is a must!

The best vegan, organic and raw food restaurant in Bali and probably across many other countries.
It has this feel at home atmosphere, managed by Chef Made, who has journeyed through many countries of the vegan planet. Collecting as he travelled from one place to the other, the essence and best practise of their raw and vegan cuisine.
It is a treat to be served at this place (mushroom soup is must), prices are totally affordable.

Even if we are not vegetarians we loved what we had on our plate both visually and tastefully (Chief Bowl & Balinese Paella)! A real job of cooking and even on desserts which is rare in Indonesia. You taste your dishes with a view of the garden, far from the horns and the heavy traffic in Ubud. To do absolutely!

By far my favorite restaurant in Ubud. Each dish was thoughtful and creative. Jack fruit tacos are out of this world good. Service was spectacular and the outdoor seating is really beautiful.

Omw in other countries it's hard to find vegan restaurants, here in Ubud there is so many. But Moksa was highly recommended and it exceeded my expectation. From the hidden location between nature, to the amazing food. I over ate because I wanted to try everything. Eco friendly bamboo straws and lovely staff who are friendly and attentive. Its 15min walk from my guest house so I know where I will go for dinner.

Some of the most beautiful, delicate and amazing vegan food I've ever had. Outstanding! Atmosphere was also as beautiful as are many places in Ubud. Drinks and staff were equally great.

I m not sure why it took us so long to visit the restaurant... probably because it s vegan and vegan in Ubud very often means tasteless. Not in Moksa! The food was delicious, well cooked and properly spiced, the service was top notch and the ambience classy. Highly recommended!

We ate at Moksa twice and also attended a half day cooking class. Cannot say enough wonderful things about Made who has put his heart and soul into this place. All food is grown on location and the dishes we had were fantastic. I did not know much about raw and plant-based cuisine but have been inspired by Made to pursue this as part of my everyday life. I would love the chance to re-visit Moksa or to meet Made again - just wish there was a Moksa in Toronto - it would be an instant hit.

The food amazingly delicious. I had sampler and it was full of flavor. So nice experience. I want to visit everyday but it is bit far away from where i am staying now. But Worth visiting! So tasty !

A vegetarian paradise! Super tasty food, beautiful decoration and reasonable price for what you get. Professional staff, fantastic atmosphere, selective menu. They have awesome desserts and a list of vegan ice cream.

Not usually a vegan eating person, but my wife wanted to be healthy.

Holy cow, they've somehow made vegan food extremely tasty. Beautifully thought through meals, you won't be disappointed.

The overall experience was nice, the service was very attentive (especially by Ketut) and the food was very good (except for the starter - the bruschetta s looked as if you make 3 tiny little sandwiches topped with some fresh veggies, and they turned out to be pretty tasteless).

As main dishes we ordered Masala pumpkin uttapam (one of the best dishes I have ever tasted in my life) and living caneloni (was tasty and original, however my girlfriend doesn t like cucumber and that was half of the plate content, but not stated in the menu - shame).

For drinks we asked for a chocolate shake (world class) and a green smoothie (quite refreshing and tasty).

The desserts were beyond perfection(we ordered cheese cake and chocolate cake), although a bit expensive (~60k), but definitely worth the price anyway.

Total price was 550k, so actually what you expect from a higher-end restaurant.

I like the fact that it s locally owned, which is very rare to see in Ubud. Keep up the good work and wishing you the best!

In the nights it can be chilly and they only have tables outdoors, so bring a jacket (luckily Ketut did his best to find a sweater for my girlfriend, he is truly a magnificent waiter).

Very tasty food. Very creative. Great service. These are the words I heard on the table which had group of friends. Perhaps you would not like the ice cream especially kids, unless you love vegan food. Desserts were different and worth a try. We loved the symphony

OK, so sometimes places can become so hyped up that they can't possibly meet your high expectations. Not Moksa. We had read the reviews - and seen a few YouTube videos - that raved about this place....and they were all 100% right! The kombucha is seriously, hands down the best kombucha I've ever had. The jamu drinks were great too (try the activated charcoal drink for an immediate energy boost!) The jackfruit tacos rocked and the chef's bowl is a great way to sample a whole bunch of delicious flavours. Yes, it is a little out of town, but that's part of its charm. Don't miss this really special Warung!

The best restaurant for vegan and vegetarians.
I have tried to find something better and it is not available in Ubud. Also more expensive and fashionable places don't offer these qualities in such a consistent way.
Here you enjoy innovative culinary ceativity...with research...finesse. ..flavors. ..digestibleness. ..warmth..fully
Balinese smiling hearts services.

Great and peaceful place. Great vegan menu and delicious deserts. Friendly staff. They have a farmers market in the daytime in front and yoga and martial arts classes daily. I loved the aikido lesson. Definatley a do!

This place is so good that not only did I take my begrudging meat eater friend here for dinner, he returned the next day for both lunch and dinner! He is a New York loving steak eater. Enough said. Check this place out. Great setting and lovely staff. Definitely will return

Imagined that veggies could be sooooo tasty! We loved it so much that we went back and stay in Ubud an extra night so that we could try more dishes of their menu. Definitely a MUST! Thank you chef for sharing your passion of good food with others. love from France!

If you would like to get away from the "fine dining" european-cuisine and rather expensive restaurants (compared to others) on the main drag this beautiful and delicious little place is a must.

Vegan Heaven. Disadvantages and advantages of being slightly away from downtown Ubud. It is difficult to visit, but a relaxed atmosphere. It's fun to see Farmers' Market every Tuesday and Saturday.

A bit disappointing overall for the price. Salad was a bit uninspired and most desserts unavailable. Remaining rice pudding was ok but chocolate orange mouse tasted like grainy orange peel. Kombucha and soup was excellent

Very good restaurant lost in the middle of penestanan. Surrounded by lush gardens and peaceful nature, the plant based food is delicious, original and very tasty. The staff is super nice and professionnal. One of the best place in Ubud!

The jackfruit "filet mignon" was pretty good. What really excited me as a first timer to raw vegan food was the sampler platter consisting of "pizza", "pasta", "taco", etc. Each sample was a unique and rewarding experience.

We reserved a table for the dinner and tried a variety of dishes from starters to desserts. The menu features raw and heated dishes prepared with local ingredients to delight your taste buds. We recommend starting with the Moksa Dhal or the super Maringa Soup. For the main course, choose between the Chicko Jacko Enchilada or the Jerky Mignon. Finish on a sweet note with the Caramelized Banana Crepes or the Sweet Symphony. Visit my Instagram (IG: kelledstyle) for more pictures :)

One of the best restaurants I've ever been to. Amazing, original, fresh, healthy, vegan food, with tons of flavour in every dish. If you like good food you will really appreciate the effort that has gone into designing and creating the dishes here. I've tried a bunch of stuff on the menu now and everything has been outstanding.

Service is fast. Portion sizes have been designed so starter + main is a good meal. Smoothie + main filled me for lunch. Prices are a little more expensive than elsewhere but still completely reasonable.

It was incredible. I'm from a city with numerous excellent vegan restaurants and none compare to this place. My only complaint is that I leave Bali tomorrow and can't go back to try everything on the menu. Reasonably priced and you get free water which is apparently a rare thing in Bali.

Great food! My only gripe here is that I really would have liked to know that the "caramelized banana crepes" was actually dates pressed into a fruit leather of sorts and with some fruits in it, banana on the sides and some caramelly sauce. I wasn't in the mood for raw food for the dessert but if that's your thing you got it here. Might have been me who missed it but I can't remember seeing that dessert marked as raw food on the menu.
Aside from that we had the cashew cheese trio and tofu eggplant as starters and the jackfruit mignon and some tapas thingy as mains. Super good, the mushroom soup that came with the tapas plate was amazing.
Totally recommend this place

Moksa has to go down as one of the best vegan dining experiences EVER. The creative menu, the superb food that is oh so flavourful and the setting are unbeatable. If you are in Bali and vegan/vegetarian or simply wishing to try more plant based foods - you cannot miss out on a visit to Moksa. The food is the best and it is prepared with love and care - each plate is a masterpiece and the Head Chef who you often see walking through the restaurant asking diners if their meal is ok takes his job very seriously. We managed to eat here 3 times in a space of 4 days ... it really is amazing.

Restaurant not to be missed if you go from Ubud.
It is not in the center, but you can easily get there by car or on foot walking among the rice fields.
The staff is very kind and helpful, they brought us some samples of some dishes (for free) to make us taste their best dishes.
We got the starter + plate + dessert formula at 175k ( 10).
All delicious, the dishes are vegan and almost all gluten-free (even bread).
Highly recommended!

Wonderful selection of cooked ( heated ) and raw vegan dishes. We enjoyed the Price Fixe three-course meal: appetizer, entree and dessert. The avocado orange salad and pea soup opened the meal. Both were refreshing after our walk up from downtown Ubud (not recommended due to traffic and no sidewalks on the second half). Our main dishes were equally delicious and filling: pumpkin uttapam and avocado enchiladas. We finished with the banana crepes with cardamom coconut ice cream. The ice cream was fabulous but overpowered the crepe, so we opt for vanilla next time. A couple of juices and a young coconut rounded out the meal. Not inexpensive but an excellent meal of highest quality.

Wow! The quality, flavor and creativity here is the best in Ubud, if not all of Bali. This place is really unique and I wish I had found it sooner so I could go everyday and try all the dishes.

Wow. The food here was incredible. Atmosphere was nice despite a huge swarm of flies that disturbed the dining experience. Staff handled it professionally and offered to replace any food/drinks that had flies land in it. All the food was very tasty and that s coming from a couple of non vegans.

We happened to pass by and were thrilled right away. Actually we only wanted to drink something, but the menu inspired us so much that we stayed for dinner. Even the greeting from the kitchen an eggplant slice filled with cashew cheese was sensational. Meanwhile, we have the menu up and down eaten and we were always totally thrilled.

By far the best vegan food I have ever had. We visited twice on our holiday and wish we could do it again. 10/10 for staff service and the atmosphere is incredible. Away from the hustle of Ubud center and a short still through the rice paddies sets the mood. Highly recommend the bruchetta starter. One of the tastiest meals I have ever had.
We met the owner and he was very very lovely. A must do when you visit Ubud.
