Fantastic location, wonderful food, free water, attentive friendly staff. Can not say enough about this place. Went for dinner which was sooooo tasty that we had to go back for lunch the next day and it was even better..... wish we were staying for longer. Wouldn't eat anywhere else.... Steve and Julie.

Excellent food. Everything here is vegan and raw. The tiramisu has no egg, alcohol or dairy products in it, and was made using raw vegetarian products, yet it tasted like the real thing. As a meat eating person, I found this vegan restaurant highly palatable.
Good food. Very slow service. We had to remind the wait staff to bring us water, the dessert menu and the check. The owner/manager greeted all the guests...but not us. Wonder why....
Great vegan experience with all sustainable food from their own farms. Creative dishes and detailed attention from the servers. You can even book online on their site and get some cool recipes to try at home.
Try the vegan ravioli! Its unreal. Beware there is a very dangerous uphill path if you are traveling from ubud centre shortcut by scooter. We've dropped our scooter off this hill twice, once with us on it! It's very narrow and uneven. Even with only one Rider it's quite challenging. First time I went up with my girlfriend, we both fell off the hill with the scooter. Luckily we only sustained minor injuries , and groups of Balinese quickly came to lift us and our scooter out of the trench . The second time she wisely dismounted, and I tried to walk the scooter up the hill, and still ended up accidentally revving it off the hill towards the top. It's a small cliff but quite dangerous.
Use the vehicle directions on google maps instead of the scooter directions to go the safe way. I don't recommend attempting the hill if you have 2 people or are new to scooters.
Despite the traumatic falls, we've come back here over and over again; the food is that delicious!
Oh, I just visited this place after a friend recommended and I was passing by. No joke, this is amazing place for raw/vegan. Food is amazing, the best what I have tasted in Bali so far. Service great. And I am still sitting here as I am writing a review. And this is my 2nd review so this place really worth a visit if you are around.
Lovely place in the middle of rice fields. Welcoming staff, their food is of good portion and a decent taste. Would recommend for the view and the breeze here.
Its location is in a quiet area, making this place very comfortable. Moksa Ubud is one of the organic food spaces that provides special foods and specifically for those seeking organic menus around Ubud. Of course not only Moksa provides organic food but also exists in several places around Ubud.
My wife and I shared the rijsttafel and the sri racha zuchini fritters. Both were delicious! It's a great place for vegans and vegetarians. Fresh, well-prepared and great tasting food!
The best place I ate in Ubud! Their jackfruit tacos are popular for a reason and I can t remember the name but their soup type main dish was also delicious. Would definitely recommend this place!
My absolute favorite restaurant in Ubud! The food is prepared with love and the restaurant is run with passion. Much of the food is also grown on the property and everything is recycled. The dishes are creative and tasty an absolute experience!
Hi, we thought that Moksa really is something out of the ordinary vegan kitchen. It is, but not as you think. Save your way there, too expensive for the conditions - over 450k we have to 2 people paid (food + dessert + 2 drinks). The food was delicious (therefore 3 stars) but far too small portions. You can expect more for the price. The service was attentive and very good. All in all a good restaurant with small portions, at the highest prices in the area - everyone has to decide for themselves. There are traditional restaurants in the area which are miles ahead of their taste, but have much more normal prices. - looks around the corner into the rice fields; Insider tip, rightly with top Google reviews.
The dishes they serve are delicious and very creative. The vegetables taste amazing and they use different kinds of tofu within their dishes that have such a great taste. We were extremely surprised and satisfied. We have eaten lunch here twice and dinner (once) here and were extremeley happy with the quality of the food and the great service they provide.
As a vegetarian (for religious reasons) I am always skeptical of visiting new places as I never know what to expect of the food there. Moksa popped up on my facebook feed and the description looked inviting. Safe to say I was not disappointed and the food was exceptional. Fresh flavourful guilt-free eating, everything that veganism or, in my case, vegetarianism stands for. Highly recommend this place
What a fantastic restaurant. I'm neither vegan nor vegetarian but loved everything I ate here. There are a lot of vegan restaurants around Ubud but Moksa certainly was our favorite.
The level of creativity and skill that go into the dishes is remarkable. Try the jackfruit main and finish with the dessert sampler.
Me and my husband come here all the time. We are always greeted so nicely from the staff and they are always happy to see us. I love every dish on the menu, tried and tested them all! My favourites are the Moksa Dahl, Vegan Noodle and Chai tea!
A little hard to find and its tucked away in the middle of a village and local rice fields. Definitely worth the trip to experience Moksa while in Ubud. A must try!
On saturdays from 10am-2pm they have the local farmers markets.
We had the three course dinner. Great vegan food, great taste, great service. Avocado and orange salad was superb.
But it is very out of the way, as our driver drove in circles searching for the right small path (unlit and ambiguous-looking) that leads up to the restaurant.
Transport is a huge problem, but you can walk down to the main streets which is about 15-20 minutes away.
Quite possibly the best meal we had in Bali. Decent prices, beautiful atmosphere, ceramic dishes were gorgeous, utensils were gorgeous... The moksa mocktail was amazing. Every dish we had was amazing. One of the owners, Made, even came out to chat with us. Don't even think about the fact that it's vegan, it's just amazing food.
I love a bit of creative raw vegan food made with love, but this was disappointing. The tacos were yummy but not worth a return trip. The trio of cheeses was just weird, and the breads/crackers were soft and tasted like vegetables that have gone bad - not like they'd undergone a healthy ferment or dehydration. Raw vegan cheeses and crackers can be just as satisfying and moreish as dairy cheeses, but they missed the mark. The curry was tasty and satisfying. There's many places I'd rather eat.
was excited but sceptical to try the place out, because there are plenty of the same around ubud. but when i did the prices were high and the portions were small, the only reason it seemed filling in any way was due to a plate of bread consumed as a side dish. the flavours were good but not impressive and only on some parts of the dish the rest of ingredients had no taste at all, I would assume unintentionally so, because it felt too plain (for all of the menu items we tried). the staff too was not pleasant and seemed truly bored. when discussing the menu and finishing up, had to wait and ask several times for the bill even though there were no other customers and they kept on tidying up the place right next to and not responding. i am a fan of ice cream and especially was looking forward to try it, but the flavours were biting the tongue, even tho i have tried similar flavours and base of ice cream it wasn't well balanced ingredients and flavours .
overall the place is good with it's sustainable and vegan concept and has nice are, and the food can be somewhat great but it's not a place i would recommend, there are much better places around.
Food taste lovely but real small portions and really expensive for Bali standards. The waitress tried to smooth talk the high price "that they use fresh products" but so do most of all the other restaurants in Ubud area, and charge not even half of what you have to pay at Moksa.
I am not a vegetarian but everything is so tasty and I enjoyed my visits here. I had Bali coffee, Hot chocolate, Tofu omelette, Jack fruits tacos, Sesame tempeh, Chef s bowl, Green curry, Laksa and Sweet Symphony, etc. Everything has a touch and quality. I always wanted to lick the plate because it s so delicious. Good and friendly service too.
My favorite restaurant in Bali. Lovingly prepared food, perfect flavor combinations. A healthy 10 star experience. I wrote on Facebook at the time that it was worth the 6 hour flight for that meal alone. Will be back...
I m not a Vegan but the food was delicious. Well presented, lovely staff...and very filling. The concept is great. Not sure if the restaurant serve Vegan food and have yoga classes because they believe in the value of life...or if it s a fashion..or a passion, but as we was leaving the restaurant a dog got hit by a car (who just drove off!) and was really badly injured. He probably broke his back legs and hips as he was dragging his body by his front legs. When I went in to ask them for help, one of the waiting staff said I can t do anything because we re short of staff. Maybe it s just me but I found his unhelpful-ness to another injured life extremely disappointing. I guess working in such a brilliant Vegan restaurant shouldn t mean you follow the same beliefs. It s really a shame.
Very nice food, incredible selection of juices, nice atmosphere and gets really busy around 8pm, friendly service. Jackfruit dish was incredible and so was the lentil soup and passion fruit cheesecake. A bit difficult to get to, remote location
OMG everything we've ever eaten here has been ahhhhmazing! Super healthy, super tasty, including the desserts. I could happily eat here every day. Beautiful setting too! Highly recommended!
If there is one vegan/raw/vegetarian restaurant you visit in Ubud this should be it. We had to order two mains each and a dessert because the first tasted so good
There are two business partners that own this. One is a farmer and the other is the chef. We only met the farmer but he was very nice and explained to us the farming practices he was using to us.
In a location a little hidden, although not far from the center and with a beautiful environment. It is a Vegan restaurant with amazing dishes, both cooked and raw. I advise without hesitation the raw lasagna, amazing. I had never gone to eat any Vegan and I doubt if I find another like this one. To be a Warung is not cheap, but quite economical for European pockets and in relation to the quality they serve.
absolut amazing place for plant-based food. I have been there for so many times and just love it. they serve extraordinary food in such a beautiful and tasty way and you can enjoy it in an wonderful, peaceful ambience (aside the hustle-bustle of busy Ubud). the dishes are unique and I love the special flavor they have (and that I can taste the fresh herbs and spices). Also staff is very friendly. Highly recommended. Thank you @ the whole Moksa team! happy to be your guest again
Lovely food and lovely service. Many original dishes, deliciously fused across local, Asian, and Western. Vegan dream. Clean setting including the washroom.
Every vegan restaurant in the world should take a page out of moksa's book. AMAZING FOOD and great options. They use many vegetables from their own garden. Price is worth too.
Starter, main, dessert set 190k is advantageous! The night is crowded, so it is better to come early or make a reservation. You can also use a credit card. Although there is Wi-Fi, it may not be suitable for long hours work because there are few power plugs.
Best vegan restaurant I've ever been to in my life. Also the most unique dishes I've encountered. If you are a vegan and you are in Ubud, you must try this place. Highly recommend the Moksa Sampler!
The best food we've had in Ubud, so good we returned 4 times in a week! Farmers market every tursday and saturday and permaculture garden view from the outside dining area. Staff is amazing.
We are so glad to have found this Vegan Cafe The food at Moksa is excellent, tasty natural ingredients, can recommend the Sate Kebabs and Vegan Burger. It is located in a lovely setting with a gentle breeze! The staff are friendly and attentive. Highly recommended to find this little gem located outside the hussle and bustle of Ubud!
Wow wow wow!!! Amazing vegetarian food for not a vegetarian like me. We tried the Moksa Samplers, laksa noodle & chef bowl, super yummy!! The have Organic market bazaar every Saturday from the local farmers, super loved everything from here n will come back soon
Beautiful restaurant, they cook their own produce from their own garden and they have. farmer s market two days per week! The food is delicious and it s all vegan with some raw vegan options which are clearly market as raw. Their papaya rolls are to die for
Our best ever vegan dining experience in the world! The food is like something off Masterchef. Such interesting and delicious dishes. The prices are reasonable in terms of Western value, it's like the kind of food you get on a fancy tasting menu but at affordable prices. The staff are always very welcoming and attentive. The location and concept is really unique too. Highly recommended!
We visited this lovely quaint place for dinner last night, the service was impeccable and the food mindblowing, while I am mostly vegan and my husband is a meat eater and he couldn t stop praising the eggplant rendang. They were very clean and keeping all the Covid protocols in place
One of the best Vegan Restaurants in Ubud. Chef Made is a kind of genius and his kitchen team are very well trained. The food in Moksa tastes always good. Alot of their produce comes form their own permaculture garden. A good place to visit even with non Vegan friends
We are clearly on a high end vegetarian restaurant in Bali. But the price is clearly reasonable for a menu with starter / main course / dessert + drink. Especially when everything is succulent !! GO FOR IT !! (Watch out for mosquitoes in the evening, it stings )
Simply wow! I tried several different dishes, and I have always the same reaction: WOW! Super friendly and attentive service, best vegan food I ever had. I d also recommend this place to meat eaters just to try how tasty plant based food can be. My highlight so far were the tempeh ribs! Mouth watering! 5*+
Worth the visit! Delicious raw vegan food at its best! All grown in house. The corn jackfruit tacos are amazing as was the jack berry cheesecake! All gluten free and healthy! A must!
This place is a vegan restaurant and they grow their own vegetables which makes it an organic plays as well. It's not only a restaurant but they also have yoga and other sessions happening inside their remise. Hospitality is very good and you can also book your table online. Menu is interesting and pricing is slightly high as per the ambience of the place. But there is nothing impressive or impeccable about this place. This is just another vegan restaurant in Ubud.
